Chapter 2
"What do you mean our world is in danger?" asked Leo starting to grow worried. Yen Sid waved his hands in the air and a glowing image appeared before the five teens. "Your world is one of many as was mine" he began as the teens stared transfixed "mine was a world of magic and wonder protected and cared for by beautiful princesses, majestic animals, and great heroes" he continued as images of a princess with blond hair wearing a beautiful blue dress and glass slippers danced with a prince, a Lion with a majestic mane of red hair staring across the Savannah atop a mountain, and a mighty muscular warrior with red hair and Bronze armour "This was the world of Disney". Yen Sid's eyes narrowed "But like all worlds there where those whose hearts where filled with evil" he said as the images shifted into an obese lavender skin woman with white hair and the lower body of an octopus, a Tiger with half its face burned roaring in rage, and a man with black hair and a handlebar moustache dressed in a red coat and captain hat with a hook for a hand. "And the most evil of all those souls was Maleficent Dark Fairy and Mistress of all evil" he continued as an image of a tall woman with Green skin, horns wearing black ropes carrying a staff appeared. The teens stared in shock and awe as she shot a blast of green fire at what appeared to be a Mouse wearing red robes and a pointed blue hat adjourned with moons and stars who countered the attack with a burst of golden flames. "The wars between good and evil raged across our land" Yen Sid spoke as they watched images of armies battling in cities, jungles and oceans "until finally the misuse of magic caused our world to collapse in on its self" Yen Sid finished as the images faded. "You lost your world" said Melody looking sympathetic. "Yes but there is no time to mourn" said Yen Sid "Maleficent survived the fall as I have and is now somewhere in this world and she has saved the collected spiritual essence of her fallen warriors and can now twist them to her image" he explained as a mirror on the wall showed Confox and a squadron of pig and bird like creatures marching on Madison. "She has revived the trickster Honest John in a new terrible form, he must be destroyed and you are the only ones who can do it". "What can we do?" said Jessie looking at him like he was crazy. "I managed to save the essence of some of the most valiant heroes of my world while others where lost across this world" said Yen Sid "I would use my magic to bring them all to me but I must save my strength if I am to have any hope of one day restoring my world". "But with these" he summoned five bands around their wrists and in the centre of each was a coloured jewel ranging from, red, black, blue, green and pink "you can protect your world by channelling the powers of the fallen heroes you can become: the Power Rangers". The five just stared at one another "did he just say what I think he did" asked Jessie as Jack's eyes lit up. Yen Sid began addressing each of them individually. "Leo you have always looked towards life with a good heart despite any and all adversity that has stood in your way" he spoke as the mirror showed images of Leo going through his life doing what he can to help his friends and family "within you lies the Courage of the great Lion King Simba, you shall be the Red Disney Ranger" he said as the image shifted to a red armoured warrior with a helmet resembling a lion and a sword with red lion as the guard "you shall command the lion Zord and wield the sword of kings" he said as Leo stared in awe. Yen Sid turned his eyes to James "James you have always walked your own path but through it all Family has always been your treasure" he said as the image you showed James helping his mother around the house and playing with his little sister earning smiles from Melody and Jessie "within you lies the Heart of Tarzan lord of the apes, you shall be the Black Disney Ranger" he said as the image became a Black armoured warrior whose helmet resembled a Gorilla and held a spear with an ape carved onto the blade "you shall command the Ape Zord and carry the spear of Protectors" he finished as James stared at the image with uncertain eyes. "Jack you have always lived your life with energy and a youthful heart" Yen Sid spoke as the mirror showed Jack playing with his various younger siblings and cousins earning a smile from the boy in question "within you lies the spirit of Peter Pan the boy who never grew up, you shall be the green Disney Ranger" he said as the image showed a green armoured warrior with a helmet resembling a sparrow and a green knife which had a sparrow image on the hilt "you shall fly the Sparrow Zord and will fight with the knife of Freedom" he said as Jack grinned "awesome" he whispered. "Melody" said Yen Sid giving the girl small smile "you have always shown passion and devotion to the world around you" he said as images of her organising clean ups of the beach and park appeared causing her to blush "within you lies the sympathy of Ariel mermaid princess of the sea, you shall be the blue Disney Ranger" as an Image of a blue armoured female warrior with a dolphin based helmet appeared holding Trident with wave designs along the staff "you shall command the Dolphin Zord and will be keeper of the Trident of the sea" he said as Melody froze "mermaid and dolphin, as in two things that live under water" she thought to herself. "Jessie" said Yen Sid turning to the final teen "you have lived your life by your own choices but have always stood by those in need" he said as Images showing Jessie standing up against Bullies for younger and weaker kids earning a smirk from the girl "within you lies the compassion of the Fairy Godmother who nurtured the dreams of many, you will be the pink Disney Ranger" as the final image of a pink armoured female warrior with a dove based helmet carrying a long staff with a violet star on top appeared "you shall soar on the Dove Zord and will hold the staff of dreams" he finished as Jessie frowned "I hate pink" she muttered. "I understand this is much to take in and It will be dangerous" said Yen Sid sitting back down "but Maleficent will not rest until your world is under her heel and the spirits of my fallen friends would not have chosen just anyone, you and you alone can save your world what say you?" he asked. The teens al exchanged looks…they had the choice of risking their lives or watch their world burn…before turning to Yen Sid with a look that told all.
