Chapter 4
The rangers stood before Yen Sid's mirror as it showed images of various pieces of white light. "When Disney fell I saved majority of the good people from destruction by transferring their essence into this tower" Yen Sid explained as the mirror changed to show several balls of light falling across the earth…and four changing different colours. "Why did those ones turn different?" asked Jack turning to Yen Sid. "Those four contained the essence of particularly strong individuals not unlike the five whose power you have all inherited" explained Yen Sid gesturing to their morphers. "Wait so you mean that there's a chance that four more people can be rangers" asked Melody thinking "maybe one can switch with me and handle the water stuff". "Yes young one" said Yen Sid before giving her a smirk "and whichever Morpher choses them only they will be able to control as only you can control the blue morpher" he revealed as though aware what she was thinking causing her to blush. "What about the other?" asked Jessie putting her hands on her hips? "They may hold certain powers that may come in handy against Maleficent" said Yen Sid narrowing his eyes. At that moment at Maleficent's fortress she had brought two old friends back to the world of the living. "Welcome Gaston and Dr Facilier" she said greeting the French Hunter and the Voodoo witch doctor. "Much obliged for bringing us back Maleficent" said Dr Facilier dropping his hat and bowing low before looking up to give Maleficent a look "but why now, what's the deal?". "That fool Yen Sid has found new errand boys and girls: the Power Rangers" explained Maleficent "and I need a powerful warrior to lead my army against them" she gestured to Gaston who puffed up his chest in pride "and a cunning manipulator to aid me in my conquest of this strange new world she said giving Facilier an evil smile. "I'll have those rangers on their knees begging for mercy in no time" Gaston boasted flexing his muscles "no one is a match for Gaston". "Save the flexing for your bar maids muscles" said Facilier pushing Gaston back with his cane "I know how to get a head in this world" he declared looking to Maleficent with a charismatic grin; she gestured for him to continue. "In a place like this there's only one power" he declared with a grin "Money: buckets of money". He tapped his cane on the ground and summoned a dark orb. "And here's a certain royal who knows how to get cash" he declared as Maleficent blasted the orb with her lightning. The orb transformed into a lion-like monster dressed in an overly exaggerated British lord costume with a large gold crown on its head and an English broad sword at its belt. "Meet Goldlord" said Dr Facilier gesturing to his new creature "formerly prince John". He puta an arm around the monster "you ready to get rich?" "To coin a phrase my good doctor: rob the poor to feed the rich" the lion monster laughed. Back at the tower Yen Sid's mirror soon detected an alert. The old wizard turned to stare at it and saw Goldlord, Gaston and Dr Facilier leading the goblins on a raid at the first bank of Madison. "Who are they?" said James confused on why two humans would be with the goblins. "The oaf is Gaston a villainous Hunter whose lust for carnage is out weighed only by his love for himself" said Yen Sid pointing at Gaston before turning to Dr Facilier "and the other is Dr Facilier a master of dark magic". "And whose the lion who would be king?" asked Jack pointing at Goldlord. "I recognize that creature" said Yen Sid "he is or rather was Prince John: a vain, greedy and whinny prince who attempted to usurp his brother as king". "Let's go guys" said Leo as the rangers ran for the door. At the bank the goblins had begun dragging out bags on money and Goldlord began rummaging through them all. "Takes beautiful lovely taxes" he laughed throwing them in the air. "Hey pussycat" said Jack as he and the other rangers ran onto the scene "didn't anyone ever tell you Money's not a toy". "Hahaha these are the power rangers" Gaston laughed "why don't you children save me the trouble and hand over those morphers and will let you of easy. "Why don't you do yourself a favour and get a self-help book" said James causing the other rangers to laugh. "Attack" Gaston yelled in rage drawing a sword with a purple jewel in the hilt. "Disney Power, Ranger power ha" the rangers yelled as they ran to the enemy changing into their rangers forms as the two sides clashed. Leo and Gaston soon found themselves locking blades. "You know with that helmet you remind me of somebody" said Gaston narrowing his eyes "someone I didn't get along with" as they broke apart and began trading blows. "Something tells me that you didn't get along with a lot of people" said Leo blocking a strike and delivered a jab with his sword hilt at Gaston's chest. Melody and Jessie raised their staff and trident in the air. "Ready?" the pink ranger asked. "Ready" the blue ranger replied before "star whirlpool" they cried as one before using their combined power to generate a huge whirlpool comprised of shinning blue water with glowing pink stars to suck in the Goblins. James and Dr Facilier where battling Spear on cane "you don't strike me as the palling around sort" said Facilier as he swung his cane. "Not usually but if it means keeping my city safe I'll make an exception" said James swinging his spear to meet Facilier cane. Jack and Goldlord were battling sword on knife. "I'll show you who where's the crown" snarled Goldlord. "Yeah that would work in the nineteenth century but know a day's anybody who tries that gets this" said Jack kicking at Goldlord's side and rammed his knife into his face. Gaston turned to see that the bank workers had managed to bring all the money back to safety and growled angrily. "Forget the money" he declared grabbing Facilier "before we go let me give you a little parting gift Rangers" he declared pointing his sword's crystal at Goldlord and sent a blast of red lightning at the monster causing it to grow to the size of a skyscraper. "Yes" Goldlord Roared as Gaston and Facilier made their escape. "Woah" said Jessie "how do we stop that?" she asked. "Rangers you must call on the powers within you to summon your Zord's" Yen Sid communed with them mentally. "All right guy let's do it" said Leo as they raised their hands in the air "Disney Zord's arise" they yelled as a glowing portal opened in the sky and from it five metallic animals each as big as a bus emerged. There was a red lion, a green sparrow, a blue dolphin, a pink dove and a black gorilla. "Their beautiful" gasped Melody in awe. "Zord's combine" the Rangers yelled as the Zord's began to merge. The ape Zord soon formed into a pair of legs as the lion Zord folded in on its self and attached to the ape Zord, the dove and dolphin Zord's attached themselves as arms and the sparrow Zord attached its self on to the lion Zord forming a head as its beak raised revealing a robotic face. The Ranger soon entered a cockpit "this is sweet" said Jack in awe "Disney Force Megazord ready". "En garde" yelled Goldlord running at them with his sword. "Twin swords ready" the rangers yelled as the Dove Zord's wing and the Dolphin Zord's fin extended to form blades. The Megazord raised the two blades and caught Goldlord's assault. "What!" cried Goldlord in disbelief? "Final strike" the Rangers cried as energy gathered on the twin blades before striking at Goldlord. "Ahh mommy" cried Goldlord before exploding in a burst of flames. At her fortress Maleficent was displeased and glared at her two new 'generals'. "Let me make this clear" she said raising her staff and shot a burst of black lightning at the two who scrambled to get away "I do not tolerate FAILURE" she roared. Back at the tower the Rangers were in a celebratory mode. "Man did you see that Megazord" said Leo high fiving Jack. "I'll admit that was pretty cool" said James with a small smile. Yen Sid however was not so quick to celebrate "beware Rangers now that Maleficent has brought in two generals we can only imagine how much stronger the monsters she summons will be" he said gravely before looking up as the Rangers crowded around his desk "I had hoped to have more time to train you but now…we must begin the search for the lost heroes".
