Chapter 9
At the high school the rangers were helping to unloading some delivered supplies for the art programs and music room. "The school would spend 100 bucks for a new piano" said Jessie "but they won't consider electric guitars". "Why do we need a new Piano anyway?" asked Jack as they finished unloading the last of the crates. "Why else do you think" said James "the chaotic quartet thought it would be a good idea to be a put a firecracker in the old one". The chaotic quartet was a group of known troublemakers in the school and they consisted of George Parker, a well-known hot head with Black hair, green eyes and wore a pair of black trousers with rips in the knees and a dark red shirt. Traci Smith, a girl with a history of fighting for the heck of it, with natural white hair and cold blue eyes, wears a pair of dark blue trousers and a black shirt with the sleeves cut shirt. Vanessa Carroll, known as Van to her friends, a well-known con artist in the school who preys on the gullible, has long brown hair and dark blue eyes, wears a pair of black trousers, and a white shirt beneath a purple hoodie. Theo Gold, the muscle of the group who usually let his muscle do the talking, wears a pair of dark blue jeans and a dark blue muscle shirt, had blond hair in a buzz cut and brown eyes. "Are those four ever not trying to make trouble" said Leo with a shake of his head. "They're not so bad once you get to know them" said Melody "Traci and Theo actually helped with a lot of the clean ups I've organised". "Yeah" said James as they walked down the hallways "well when they do something really good let me know". At that moment James suddenly found himself pinned to the wall by one of the people in question. "Hey James" purred Traci "fancy seeing you around here" she said as her friends stood to the side with smirks. "Yeah really fancy" said James trying to move only to find himself pinned further. "So" said Traci batting her eyelashes cutely at the black ranger "when you planning taking me on that date you promised me?". "Can't recall promising that" said James wiggling his way out of her hold. "Well when your memory clears up" said Traci before teasingly bumping him with her hips "let me know" she said before leaving with her friends. "What did you do to make her fall for you bro?" laughed Jack as he and the other rangers joined their friend. "What makes you think I know" said James with a sign. At the dark fortress Maleficent had summoned a new dark essence. "This may not be the most powerful creature" said Maleficent pointing her staff "but he will do for this particular assignment" she declared firing a blast of purple lightning . The essence soon turned into a cat like monster with a slightly crazed look on its face, it wore a shabby looking butler costume and a top-hat with the top hanging off. "Sidecat reporting for duty" laughed the creature. "Go into Madison and cause enough chaos as you possibly can" Maleficent ordered as the creature soon began laughing its way out of the room. "Do you really think that what remains of Gideon of all creatures can stop the Rangers" said Gaston giving Maleficent a look that questioned her sanity. "I don't expect him to succeed" said Maleficent summoning four more Dark essences before blasting them simultaneously with GREEN lightning from her staff causing them to change different colours turning dark red, black, blue and green "I just need him to keep the Rangers distracted while my goblins bring me something particularly special". Sidecat was soon terrorizing Madison, pulling any random object he could from his hat and throwing them everywhere, each one exploding once it hit the ground. "Hahaha" Laughed the Cat monster, when suddenly it was knocked back by a blast of pink energy from Jessie's staff. "What's new Pussy cat" said Jack as he and the other rangers raised their weapons and charged at Sidecat who brought out a rather cartoonish looking mallet. While the Rangers battled Sidecat a squad of Goblins arrived at the Dark Fortress with what Maleficent had sent them to retrieve: the Chaotic Quartet. "Welcome" said Maleficent as the four teenagers were dragged before her thrown. "Who the hell are you" snapped George as he and his friends were pushed to their knees. "I am Maleficent: your new master" said the dark fairy raising her staff and sent four blasts of black energy into their eyes. When the four raised their heads, their eyes were had a dark purple glow. Maleficent smiled before presenting them with her latest creation. Back in Madison the Rangers had defeated Sidecat and demorphed, "was that seem too easy to anyone else?" asked Jack as they headed down the street. "Yeah" said Melody "Usually their a lot tougher". Suddenly a blast of purple energy was shot from behind and they turned to see Gaston and Facilier. "Just when I thought today would be boring" said Jessie as they got into fighting stances. "Were not here to fight Rangers" said Facilier as he and Gaston exchanged knowing smiles. "We've come to introduce some of our new friends" said Gaston as he and Facilier stepped back to reveal the Chaotic Quartet standing behind them with evil smiles on their faces.
