Chapter 12
The sun had just begun to rise over Madison and the Chaos Rangers were silently walking through the shadows of the forest; hunting for their rival team. "Keep your eyes wide and your ears open" said Connor as he silently slinked through the tall grass in a Tiger like fashion "they're out here somewhere". Traci creeped along some rocks looking for any sign of the Rangers when suddenly "Aaahh haa aahh" cried James as he swung from a branch and knocked into the Black Chaos Ranger, sending her flying through air until Theo caught her in his arms. The rest of the Disney Rangers soon came out from behind the trees and joined their Black Ranger in facing the opposing team. "So you guys decided to just get over with huh?" Connor tauntingly asked. "Why don't you just hand over the Morphers now" said Theo flexing his muscles dangerously "save us the trouble". "Don't count on it Crock" said Jack as he and his team activated their Morphers "Disney Power, Ranger Power Ha" they cried morphing into their Ranger Forms. The Chaos Rangers exchanged dark smiles before activating THEIR Morphers "Chaos Power, Ranger Power" they cried as they donned their armour. The teams of five and four faced off on opposite ends of the meadow before slowly beginning to approach the other, slowly at first before gradually building up speed till they were running at one another till they meet in the centre of the meadow and the fight began. Leo and Connor circled one another like the great jungle cats they represented "So you sure you don't want to give up" said Connor as he summoned his sword and ran at Leo who countered with his own sword. "Or you can stop being an evil jerk and help us beat Maleficent" said Leo as he pushed Connor back "Just an option". Melody and Jessie were fighting Vanessa in a two on one battle with their respective staffs. "Never thought I'd see big bad Jessie in pink" laughed Vanessa stabbing at the Pink Ranger with her harpoon. "I'll admit its growing on me" said Jessie "and so is taking you down" she declared spinning her Staff in wide arc at her blue adversary, while Melody used her Trident to trip the Blue Chaos Ranger up. Theo came bearing down on Jack like an avalanche "Come here pipsqueak" he snarled as Jack sidestepped him and moved away from him before the Green Chaos Ranger could get close to hitting him. "Come and Catch me meathead" laughed Jack as his Chaos counterpart growled in frustration. James and Traci clashed their spear and mace against one another as they tried to force each other back. "You know I always thought that when we came to the woods it would be for a romantic picnic or something" said Traci in a flirty tone "not a battle royale…but I'm not complaining". "If you want a date me" said James as he broke the clash and swung his spear above his head "then help us protect Madison". From his tower Yen Sid observed the battle from the mirror and could only watch as his chosen warriors fought with his nemesis's latest victims. "I believe in you Rangers" he thought to himself keeping his eyes trained on his dear students. At the dark fortress Maleficent was watching the battle from the crystal on her staff. "Destroy those fools" she urged her servants on "first they will fall and then the world". The Disney Rangers soon regrouped "we just need to stall them for a bit longer" whispered Melody. "How anything we throw at them they can take and send back at us" said Jack. "Yeah" said Leo getting an idea "Connor might be as strong as me, but I wonder if the others are" he suggested as his team soon caught on before turning back to the Chaos Rangers and brook of heading in the direction of DIFFERENT opponents the last time. James ran at Vanessa and used his spear and ape strength to knock her harpoon out of her hands, leaving her in shock. "Let's dance" he suggested as she quickly snapped out of her shock and began to throw punches at the Black Ranger. While Traci was distracted at the sight of her Rival…and hopefully future love interest going after her teammate, she nearly missed Leo charging at her with his sword and only just had time to raise her mace in defence. "Yen Sid told me that Simba and Shenzi used to clash in the old wars" said Leo as they locked weapons "how's about we continue that". "Lions and Hyena's have been at War since the beginning of time" said Traci as she pushed back against the Red Ranger "Us fighting is Nature's will" she declared as they broke their weapons apart and began hacking at one another. Melody and Jessie soon found themselves going up against Theo. "Eh, I don't fight girls" he declared awkwardly stepping back. The two Disney Rangers exchanged offended looks beneath their helmets before turning to the Green Chaos Ranger. "Really" said Melody summoning her Trident "well how about these girls…" she trailed of as Jessie summoned her Staff "show you what they can do" the Pink Ranger declared as the two girls lunged at their opponent. Jack and Connor soon found themselves engaged in a knife on sword duel. "Something about a guy in green with a knife fighting a guy in red with a sword just feels oh so right" said Jack as he parried several of Connor's blows with the Knife of Freedom. "Less talking, more fighting" snapped Connor in frustration. The Chaos Rangers soon found themselves overwhelmed by their unfamiliar opponents and soon found themselves back up against the rocks as the Disney Rangers soon surrounded them. The defeated Chaos Rangers exchanged looks before slowly lowering their weapons. "Well what are you waiting for?" said Connor giving Leo a look of defiance beneath his helmet "finish the job" he demanded. "It's not us you gotta deal with" said Leo pointing above them "it's her". The Chaos Rangers looked up to see the newly appointed Amber Ranger standing above them on the high rocks. "Flute of Unity" she cried bringing her flute to her mouth piece which opened to allow her to play the flute, and soon the music of the Flute filled the meadow and the Chaos Rangers soon clutched their heads in agony as the evil magic that controlled them was beginning to weaken from the Flute's magic. The Chaos Rangers soon demorphed and the Disney Rangers could see the purple light within their eyes and collapse on to the soft grass. The Disney Rangers soon demorphed themselves and helped the Chaos Rangers stand and lean against the rocks for support. "You guys ok?" asked Melody in concern as she gently helped Traci to her feet. "A bit groggy" said Traci as she leaned against the Blue Disney Ranger weakly "but I'll live". "And…you know who we are" said Leo uncertainly as he kneeled down to Connor. "Yeah" said Connor looking up at his fellow Red Ranger "our friends". At the Dark Fortress Maleficent was beside herself with rage. "AHHHH" she screamed sending blasts of dark magic in every direction, while Gaston only smirked. "Looks like I get a Lion AND a tiger to hunt" the villainous Hunter thought to himself with glee. The Chaos Rangers were soon brought to meet Yen Sid and gave him their Morphers. Yen Sid waved his hand over the four and cast a blue shine over them, "With this spell Maleficent will be unable to use her Magic to recall or influence your powers" he declared to their surprise having expected him to destroy the Morphers. "You have the chance to join us" said Yen Sid furthering their shock "while your power may have come from darkness you all have good hearts and can use the power to fight for good what say you?" he questioned. The Chaos Rangers turned to the Disney Rangers who all offered encouraging smiles before turning to Yen Sid "were in" they all said as Yen Sid smiled and got up from his chair. "Do you all vow to use your powers for good, to only fight against Maleficent and her dark warriors and to protect your fellow Rangers and to devote yourselves to the protection of the world" he asked as the four new Rangers stood at attention. "We do" they declared earning applause from the six other Rangers in the room. "Then welcome to our family" said Yen Sid in a fatherly tone earning smiles from the Rangers.
