Chapter 5:
When they reached the lobby Jack yelled, "NYPD. EVERYBODY AGAINST THE WALL NOW."
They all glanced fearfully at the heavily armed law enforcement officers then they all lined up against the wall. Once they were all lined up Jack was about to say something when two heavily muscled men in expensive Armani suits walked up. Jack immediately recognized them. Jack let the BVM RECCE 16 drop to his chest as he confronted the men. Gareth Raines rumbled, "What the hell is going on here?"
Jack glared at the former Army Ranger as he replied, "We need to speak with Charlie Weston."
Nathan Dean snarled, "I don't think so."
Jack leveled predatory eyes on the disgraced former Recon Marine as he drawled in a low menacing voice, "I wasn't talking to you slick so just sit down and shut up before I decide I wanna beat me a jarhead."
Dean went to say something when Raines growled, "Shut up Nate."
Then to Jack he asked, "What do you want with Charlie?"
Jack Snarled, "I want to know who is targeting my family and I want to know now."
Raines replied, "I'm sorry Mr..."
Jack snarled, "LT. Stabler."
Raines continued, "I'm sorry Lt. Stabler we are under no obligation to divulge any of our ongoing operations to the NYPD or the FBI."
Mark stepped forward and stated, "Mr. Raines I am Special Agent Mark Chase, FBI and I am ordering you to tell us why your company is targeting the Stabler family."
Raines asked in a cocky condescending voice, "Do you happen to have a warrant?"
Jack grabbed Raines by the throat and slammed him against the wall as he thundered, "You will answer my question or..."
He drew his HK 45 Tactical, pressed it to Raines temple and eared back the hammer as he continued in an icy hiss, "I'll put a 230-grain hollow point in your skull."
He had just finished speaking when Lionel Granger stalked up and asked in his nasally voice, "What is the meaning of this?"
Jack snarled, "This asshat is protecting the people that are stalking my family."
Granger asked, "What proof do you have?"
Olivia replied, "We have numerous photos of our family."
Granger gave her a patronizing look as he asked in a voice dripping with condescension, "I understand that LT but what proof do you have of my client being behind it?"
Jack released his hold on Raines and holstered his pistol as he stalked toward Granger. Olivia said, "Why don't you go see Amaya; we'll take care of this."
Jack locked eyes with his wife as he asked, "Are you sure?"
She replied, "Yes there is a terrified little girl waiting for her hero."
Jack shot her a crooked grin as he said, "Yes ma'am."
Then he locked eyes with Elliot, Fin, Dodds and Mark as he said, "Watch her six; understood."
They all nodded as he left.

When he walked into the hospital he was met by Rollins and Carisi. He said, "Head back to the precinct. I want you to help figure out who's targeting my family."
At their puzzled looks he said gruffly, "Liv will fill you in; now go."
They both nodded as they left. When he turned to ask what Amaya was in, he spotted Sarah. She asked as he walked over to her, "Still a people person I see?"
He chuckled as he said, "Just take me to Ama's room squirt."
Sarah grinned and said as she led him to Amaya's room, "You got it bubba."
It was Jack's turn to chuckle as they walked inside."

When Amaya saw Jack a huge grin spread across her face as she exclaimed, "You came!"
Jack leaned down and gathered her in his arms and scooped her up as he replied, "You asked me to, right?"
She nodded as he said, "Well your majesty your wish is my command."
She giggled as wrapped her little arms around his neck and laid her head on his shoulder. Sarah; who was watching from the doorway had tears in her eyes. For she had seen her usually gruff older brother like this only with his son; her nephew Noah. She knew this sweet innocent little girl had captured her older brother's heart. He carried Amaya to the rocking chair and sat down and placed her on her lap as he began to sing in a smokey bluesy voice, "Christopher Robin and I walked along

By the time he was done singing he saw that Amaya was sound asleep. He cradled her tiny body protectively in his arms, carried her over and gently laid her down in the bed and tucked her in. Then he spared her one last glance as he shut off the light. Sarah pulled the door closed as they left the room.
