Chapter 15
At St Joseph's the school was getting ready for their spring dance. "So, did anyone ask you guys yet?" asked Melody as the female rangers waited for their male teammates outside the school. "Well," said Jessie "there is someone I've been planning to ask just haven't had the right chance to yet". "Oh" said Melody in a quitter voice as she looked to the side trying to hide her disappointment "who's the lucky person". "I think you know who I want to ask" said Jessie pulling the blue rangers gaze back to her before pulling a bouquet of water lilies from behind her back "and just so were clear I do mean ask as in a date" she clarified as Melody looked shocked before throwing her arms around the pink ranger. "Yes, yes, yes" she squealed in joy. Jessica and Vanessa watched their two friends with a smile, while Traci looked to the ground with a slight frown. "Why can't that be me and James" she thought to herself "he must know my feelings for him are real…doesn't he". At that moment, the male rangers arrived. "About time" said Jessie as Theo noticed her and Melody's intertwined hands "I can say the same to you" he smirked. The Rangers soon headed to the park to relax for a while before their next battle, but as they walked no one noticed the look of…yearning James sent to Traci. At the dark fortress Maleficent had assembled her generals. "I have devised a new plan to destroy the rangers" she announced "it has come to my attention that the Black Chaos Ranger is particularly precious to the Black Disney Ranger and vice versa, if one is destroyed the other will be consumed with grief and be rendered useless to their respective team while the other team will be broken without their precious ape or hyena" she explained summoning two dark essences "I have selected the perfect creature for this mission and I've decided to give it a little extra help" she declared shooting the two essences with her magic. One essence became a tall dark-skinned woman with long snow-white hair, she wore armour that resembled the skin of a leopard and held a long golden staff with a leopard head at the top, this was Queen La, the jungle sorceress of Disney. The second had become a humanoid Leopard creature dressed in blood red battle armour with a dangerous battle axe with a snarling leopard face in the centre of the blade, this creature was once known as Sabor, a fierce leopard and predator of the Disney Jungles now it was Chui (that is the Swahili translation for leopard). "Welcome my friends" Maleficent greeted as the two looked up to her throne. "You wouldn't have brought us back for no reason Maleficent" said La giving the dark fairy a challenging look "what do you want?". "I want the two of you to destroy either the Black Disney or Black Chaos Rangers" Maleficent explained "they are armed with the powers of Tarzan and Shenzi respectively". La and Chui exchanged dark smiles before heading out of the throne room. The Rangers were at the Park just letting the day go past them. James sneaked a glance to Traci and saw that she was resting in the branches of a tree looking down with an amused smile at Jack playing with the younger kids in the park. "Hey" said Theo "you know talking to her works better then staring at her" he teased his friend with a smile. "I just don't know what to say to her" James admitted "I used to think she was just being a flirt, but when I actually got to know her" he signed "I found someone I actually liked, and honestly that terrifies me" he confessed. "I'm still getting used to the idea of having friends" he explained "a girlfriend…that's a different ball game". "You know she likes you to" reminded Theo "she's made that pretty obvious". Before James could reply the sound of terrified screams and savage roaring soon hit all their ears. The teenagers exchanged looks, that could mean only one thing: Morphin Time. "Disney/Chaos Power, Ranger Power ha" they cried transforming into their Ranger forms. The Rangers ran deeper into the park and saw La and Chui terrorizing the people. "Hey cat lady" said Jessie "call off your pet". La turned to give the rangers a look "so these are the so called 'great warriors' that have been giving Maleficent such a hard time" she laughed "I suppose Maleficent may have just lost her touch in a few centuries". "Chui" she turned to the monster by her side "destroy them" she commanded as Chui let out a feral roar and lunged at the Rangers knocking the team apart. Chui swung her axe directly at Traci who barely had time to block with her mace. La sent blasts of green flame with her staff as Goblins soon arrived on the scene and began to battle the Ranger teams. The fight soon came close to the Park Zoo which had been cleared of all citizens as the battle had neared. Chui grabbed James and spun him around before throwing him far from the battle. "James" cried Traci before Chui smacked her to the side causing her to drop out of both Ranger form and Consciousness. La smirked before using her staff to send a massive net of energy over the other Rangers. "Chui pick up the little Hyena" she commanded "the rest of you bring the others" she commanded as her minions began to drag the captive Rangers away. James had landed in one of the Zoo's enclosure and was just sitting up. "James hear me" Yen Sid spoke to him telepathically "the woman and monster were La and Sabor two of Tarzan's most dangerous foes, you must save the others from them". "I know Master" said James getting to his feet before noticing just enclosure he had landed in and got an idea. La had the Rangers taken to the more forested area of the park and had Chui tie Traci to a tree and gave the younger girl a cruel smirk. "Nothing personal my dear" she said teasingly running her fingers through Traci's white hair before turning around and smacked her with her own white hair "but Maleficent wants you and your little boyfriend dealt with" she said before turning to the other Rangers still trapped in her net "and the same goes for all of you" she declared before raising her staff…but soon lowered as a familiar sound filled the air. "AAAHHH AAAHHHH AAHH" cried James as he swung into the scene in his Ranger form from the tree vines…followed by a troop of Gorillas. The Gorillas swung down onto the Goblins and began to throw them away with their superior strength, Chui roared in Rage as a pair of silverbacks piled on top of her. "H…how?" asked Leo in disbelief as the Rangers starred in shock as the ape's beat the Goblins into submission. "Just gotta know how to talk to them" James explained beating his fists against his chest as several Gorilla's copied the action and let out mighty roars. James ran to Traci and used his spear to cut her bindings. The two black Rangers held the other's gaze for several seconds until "want to go to the dance with me?" asked James. "Sure" replied Traci with a smile until Chui lunged at the two causing them to break apart. Chui and James soon circled one another their Spear and Axe respectively at their sides. The two soon lunged at the other and clashed their weapons against the other before separating and began to trade fierce blows against the other. The Gorilla's all roared and smacked their paws against the ground in support of their new leader as he fought the Leopard monster. James soon managed to push Chui back, but before the Leopard beast could retaliate it was blasted from behind by La with her staff causing it to grow to giant size. Disney/Chaos Megazord" cried as they formed their respective Megazord's and faced Chui. Suddenly from behind them a third Zord appeared falling from the night sky. The Zord was a dark purple in colour and had a design meant for speed rather than offense and its face resembled a sort of demonic skull. "I hope ya'll didn't think I was going to miss out on the fun did you Rangers" laughed Facilier from his Zord's cockpit. "You guys handle tabby" said Connor as the Chaos Megazord turned to Facilier "leave the good Dr to us" he said as The Chaos Megazord activated its sword. The two Megazord's began to engage their respective enemies as Jessica and La began their own duel on the ground. "You Teenagers are becoming quite the nuisance" La snarled as her eyes began to glow a feral shade of yellow. "It's a gift really" mocked Jessica swinging her flute over her head. The Disney Megazord utilized its twin blades against Chui's axe but soon found themselves being pushed back. "We need more Power" grunted Leo as the Megazord was slowly beginning to be overpowered, when suddenly a new essence appeared before them. "James" Yen Sid spoke to them "you have unlocked a new essence, this particular essence is Tantor: Tarzan's lifelong Elephant companion, he will aid you". "Tantor" James whispered "give us your strength" he pleaded as the essence soon became a massive burgundy coloured Elephant Zord. "Elephant Zord combine" James commanded as the Elephant Zord soon disassembled itself. Its legs attached to the Megazord's shoulders and became armour as the Elephants head separated into two and attached to the Megazord's hands with its tusks extended. "Disney Megazord: Elephant armour mode ready" the Rangers cried. "Final attack" they commanded as the Tusks began to glow a fiery red and the Megazord lunged at Chui and stroke a devastating blow causing the monster leopard to explode in a burst of green flame. "Tail Sabre final strike" cried the Chaos Rangers as their sword was engulfed in its own fiery red energy and struck the opposing Zord in the chest causing it to explode. "Next time you won't be so lucky" cried Facilier as he ejected from the Zord before it was destroyed. La saw both her monster and ally had been defeated and quickly retreated herself At the Dark Fortress Maleficent was seething "those fools have failed me once too often" she growled to herself in fury "time to handle the Rangers…myself". The next night the school dance was in full swing. Jessie and Melody danced together on the dance floor near Leo and Jessica as the music soon changed to a slow dance. The four rangers turned to see Theo at the DJ stand and saw him gesturing the centre of the dance floor where James and Traci slowly swayed to the music in each other's arms. The Rangers smiled at their teammates before resuming their own dances, while the two black rangers remained in their own world.
