Mortis turned to Kid and said quite 'matter of factly',"We will need to set up a living space for the princess,
generally we would build a tower to act as her home. However in this strange land I see no place suitable to do so."
Without so much as a glance, Kid simply stated "I'll make arrangements for a special room here in the DWMA building."
Over the next month, as Iris and Mitsu were working towards their goal of collecting kishin egg souls,
the blue minions were busy building a tower in a specialized room in the DWMA assigned by Kid to act
as Iris and Mitsu's home. During this time Iris also studied the magics of her home world, as well as
the finer points of being a meister. By the time the tower was finished, she and Mitsu had already collected
over 45 souls.

"A tower befitting our princess," Mortis said as the girls entered their new home for the first time.
"Follow me and I shall give you ladies the grand tour of the tower," he said.
As they followed they took in the details of the, as of yet, barren tower.
The girls looked up with a sense of curiosity when the minion announced "and here are you private quarters."
The girls wasted no time in noting that there was only 1 bed within the room.
"We'll work it out later," Mitsu said to her meister.
"And here is your throne room princess," Mortis said as the tour was completed.
Iris wasted no time in taking her rightful seat upon her throne, though it was basic and undecorated,
such things are easily fixed.

After just a few fleeting moments upon her throne, Iris and Mitsu were summoned by Kid
for a job assignment. This time they would be taking down a small gang of criminals who've been causing trouble and
become kishin eggs. With a silent sigh, Mitsu assumed her weaponized form (a whip) and the 2 were off on the hunt.
Wrapping Mitsu around the leg of the guard and sliding him away from the door, Iris took the end of Mitsu's handle
(which has a curved blade sticking out of the bottom) and quietly slit the guard's throat. As she gathered his soul,
Iris looked for the quietest way into the building. Killing the guard at the door was easy enough, but she knew better
than to go rushing into a building so heavily occupied without the element of stealth and a strategic plan of attack.
Once inside the building, the remaining gang members were little trouble to dispatch. All in all, they gained another
35 souls on this job. "Not a bad haul" Mitsu said as she ate the souls to bring their collected total to 83.
Looking around for any more souls, the girls ran across a stash of gold coins and bars that the gang had been hiding.
"What should we do with the money?" Mitsu asked. Iris simply made a gesture to have the minions collect it for the tower.
They called Lord Kid to get the final ok, and the minions were sent to collect the loot.

Once back in the tower, the girls were looking forward to a bit of R&R to unwind from the long day.
Luckily during the tour the girls noted the indoor hot spring, that would sure come in handy right about now.
While in the private quarters after soaking their stresses away, Mitsu raised the obvious question of sleeping.
Iris simply walked over to the bed and sat down, motioning for her partner to sit next to her.
Mitsu went over and sat on the bed where Iris had indicated, she didn't know what Iris was thinking, but she would go with it.
Iris quickly turned to face Mitsu, pushing the weapon back to a laying position in the process, while a startled Mitsu
could do nothing but let it happen. Iris then lay down behind Mitsu and wrapped an arm around her partner.
After such a long day, Mitsu didn't even have the strength or will to fight this development.
Neither of the girls had ever shared a bed with another person until this moment, but something was almost natural about this.

Mortis woke the girls in the middle of the next day.
"Princess, there is something you should see."
Following the blue minion, the girls were taken to a giant mirror.
On the other side of the mirror, they could see little brown
creatures, Similar to the blue minions. But it was the little
BLACK minion that caught Iris' attention the most, for she had seen
it before in her dreams and in the pool in her old home.
The black minion didn't seem surprised to see the girls, and simply
placed it's taloned hand into what Iris could only guess was a pool
of water where this creature was. Tentatively Iris reached her hand
to the mirror, her eyes flashed brown, and the mirror lit up as the
little black creature and 3 of the brown creatures fell through it.

"Greetings, I am Gnarl, minion master and devoted servant of darkness,"
the black minion introduced himself. "You must be one of the Overlord's
lost children," he then mused. "You must travel the world gathering the lost minion tribes,
my Lady. Only then will you be able to claim your birthright as the new Overlord."Gnarl then looked around the tower
built by the blues, "It's a bit empty, and barren my Princess. No matter, such things can be remedied quite easily," he stated
plainly.
