Sometime in the night, after a long few days worth of hunting Kishin eggs, the girls began to feel the unique sensation of laying on the damp ground in the woods. They were awoken by the sounds of something very large approaching, circling near by. They were not alone, and whatever this sound was, there were multiple of them, staying just out of sight in the trees. Steeling themselves for the rapidly incroaching threat, the girls stood and positioned themselves back to back. "Here they come," Mitsu said as she caught a glimpse of a large creature, resembling a bear or a wolf of some gigantic kind she had never seen before. They were surprised when not a beast, but a human stepped forward from the shadows, "Who are you, and what are you doing here?" This stranger asked, his harsh and demanding tone seemingly impatient for a response. "My name is Mitsu, Mitsu Onikami, and this is my partner and meister, Iris Faeborn" Mitsu answered. "And as for what we're doing here, it would help if we even knew where 'here' is." At what they percieved as feined ignorance, several large wolves emerged from the shadows, encircling the girls. "Dont play dumb with us, how could you possibly not know where we are?" The human asked angrily. "One minute we were sleeping in our room, and the next thing we knew, we were suddenly here." Came Mitsu's reply. "This 'partner' of yours is clearly not human, so what's to stop us from simply killing you both right here and now?" at this the wolves snarled and bared their fangs. "That wont prove so easy," came Iris' response. As she reached out her hand and took hold of the now weaponized Mitsu. "STOP!!" Came a female voice just beyond the wolves, causing all to halt in their places. At this, a young woman, maybe a few years older than Mitsu and Iris approached, riding a russet colored wolf. The way she carried herself left no question in Iris' mind that She was the one in charge of these wolves. "We are not here to kill people needlessly, and we dont even know if these strangers are our enemies," the new arrival said. "Please let us try to reconcile any possible misunderstandings, My name is Renesmee Cullen. I appologize for the treatment my pack has shown you," the girl said as she dismounted her wolf. Seeing that this 'Renesmee' person was more interested in talking than fighting, Mitsu returned to her human form. "Your apology is accepted, this situation has been a bit of a shock for us as well as your pack." Mitsu answered. "I believe you asked where we are, we are in the forests between Forks and the Quileute reservation La Push. It is intriguing that you can become a whip, you're not quite human yourself, are you miss Mitsu Onikami?" "It's a long story and difficult to explain," Came Mitsu's honest reply. "I think my father might like to meet with you, or at least to determine if you are trustworthy." Renesmee said the second part, mostly to her wolves' benefit. Not seeing much choice in the matter without having to fight their way out, against this pack which they feel they've only seen a part of, with unknown abilities, the girls conclude to go along with this Renesmee. Perhaps they can gather some much needed information while meeting with this mysterious girl's father. Less than an hour later, a large house, seemingly made of mostly glass, came into view. In what would equate to the front yard, there were multiple people, all human in appearance, but just beneath the surface Iris could sense that they were not quite like the humans she had met anywhere else. There was a cold and almost hungry feel to these people that had the girl a little on edge. They seemed to be expecting the arrival of not only these wolves and Renesmee, but of Iris and Mitsu as well, yet Iris couldn't figure out how or when they would have been informed of the girls' arrival, either in the woods or at the mansion-like estate. As they neared the house, a blonde man with a rather calm and almost charming demeanor approached, "Greetings, I am Carlisle Cullen, I see you've met my granddaughter Renesmee. I welcome you to my home, but be warned, if you're intentions prove to bode ill, for me or my family, it will not end well." "Strange that I did not forsee their arrival here until a few moments ago," A young woman said. "This is my daughter Alice, she has the ability to forsee future events, it was her who informed us of your immenent visit" Carlisle says in introduction. "They showed up out of nowhere in the middle of the woods, they say they have no idea how they got here or where we are. Strangely I believe them." Renesmee informs the others, hopping down from the wolf she was riding, which piques the interest of all whom are close enough to hear this. Edward is the next to approach, picking up on fragments of Iris' telepathic reassurance with Mitsu, "This one is telepathic, and trying to calm her partner," he vocalizes to the surrounding group. "I can only pick up bits and pieces of the conversation, it's both intriging, and frustrating honestly," He says. "This Mitsu girl is normally shy and soft spoken, but with her friend here being mute, it forces her into the uncomfortable position of being the voice for both of them. They share a powerful link unlike anything I've seen before." Edward says. "Do you believe they mean us harm Edward?" Carlisle asked his son. "No, they seem confused and more scared of us than anything," came the reply. "Being greeted by a pack of werewolves, in a strange forest in the middle of the night, with no clue how you got there or even where you are will do that I suppose" Carlisle mused. This caused the surrounding Cullens to relax a bit, seeing that the "intruders" didn't mean any harm. This however had much the oposite effect on the girls, learning that the area they found themselves in was inhabited by such creatures as werewolves. That explains Renesmee and the other "human" they met upon awakening having such control over the pack of wolves. Werewolves would be able to understand human speech, and what other means of communication these creatures possessed, has yet to be revealed. They were different from any werewolves the girls had encountered before, so their abilities and motivations remain unknown. All that Mitsu and Iris knew for sure was that they were outnumbered, surrounded, and probably overpowered if it came to a fight. Iris takes a moment to lament her decision to remove her gauntlets when going to bed, they sure would come in handy, if the situation turns ugly. Diplomacy would be the best course of action, at least for now.. With a reassuring hand placed gently and soothingly on her partner's shoulder, she looks to Mitsu, as if to tell her "Everything will be okay, as long as we stick together". "They're so young looking.." Bella says as she approaches, "how old are you girls?"she asks. "I'm 13 and Iris just turned 14" Mitsu replied. "Just children, where are your parents?" Bella asked. "Murdered" was the only reply. At this, Renesmee looked to her mother with a sadness in her eyes. "Mom, I want to help them. Can they stay with us, at least until other arrangements can be made?" "We don't know anything about them, who they are, where they came from.." Bella said before being cut short by her daughter, "We know they literally dropped out of thin air, right on our doorstep, alone, confused, and with no where to go, and no one to help them." Renesmee said plainly, as if these facts were a call to action and aid, rather than further reasons to be wary. "Come on Bella, being a bloodsucker doesn't mean you have to be cold-hearted.." the now human Jacob said as he approached, wrapping his arms around Renesmee from behind. "Blood sucker?!?" Mitsu almost shrieked, "you mean to tell us the reason everyone here feels different is because you are all..." Mitsu's voice trailed away, trembling with undesquisable fear. "Vampires.." Jacob said with a teasingly smug grin. Before anyone else could react, Renesmee turned on Jacob, smacking him on the shoulder and glaring at him for his thoughtless comments, and the fear they induced. "Leave it to a mutt to let the cat out of the bag.. do you even realize or care how much you just scared these poor girls?" Before any other response was possible from Jacob, all eyes turned to see Iris reach out and take hold of Mitsu as she weaponized herself. Iris lashed out defensively a few times whenever anyone tried to approach. Wraith speed allowing her to keep pace with the cullens. A tense standoff then ensued, the cullens being kept just out of reach of Mitsu's whip form, as Iris used the distraction and space to decide if the girls could honestly fight their way out, though she had serious doubts about it. "They are trying to decide if they should flee, or if they can even survive trying to fight their way to safety." Edward said as he quickly approached. Carlisle meanwhile was trying to defuse the situation and advised everyone to calm down, as there was no need for violence and undue conflict. "We have no desire to harm you girls, you are safe here. Please just try to relax and calm down." Carlisle said in his most calming and charming voice. Iris then glanced to the skies above, noting that there was an almost clear path to the clouds. Extending her wings, she quickly took to the sky, much to the shock and awe of those she sensed now circling her. Once safely out of reach, the girls paused and gathered their thoughts for a moment, Carlisle's words reaching their minds through the fog of fear. Then Renesmee's words to her mother flashed through their shared "soulspace".. they were alone, and mostly helpless in this familiar, yet alien world. If these people were willing to help them, then it might not be so bad.. perhaps this entire world was little more than werewolves and vampires, and as such, they might be flying above the only people who could or would help them. Without her gauntlets, and the magical gem that focuses her powers, Iris was unsure how to open a portal home, or if such a thing is even possible. The reality of being stranded with nothing, was becoming all too real for the girls. They decided they would at least give this Renesmee girl a chance to help, if she were still willing that is. Looking to the top of a nearby tree, Iris saw the girl in question. "Please come here, I'm not your enemy." Renesmee assured the now visibly calmer Iris. "What do you think?" Iris asked her partner. "In this form, I can't talk with anyone but you, and you cant fly and carry me easily enough to escape in my human body.. she seems to be alone, and didn't attack us when she had multiple chances.. I say we land on the tree branch and try hearing her out.. it's not like we have many options, honestly." "Ok but at the 1st sign of trouble, we're taking off and we wont stop until we're not able to fly further." Iris responded as she carefully lowered to an adjacent branch, strong enough to hold the girls' weight, close enough to talk, but far enough to allow them to take off if needed. "Thank you, I'm alone, and not going to hurt you" Renesmee said as the sun broke over the distant horizon. The girls were calmed a little at her words, and surprized when instead of bursting into flames, the sunlight caused Renesmee's skin to glow. Perhaps the vampires in this world were nothing like the horror movies the girls were familiar with. Mitsu and Iris were surprized to learn that they were in Washington State, living in Navada in their world, but the DWMA didn't exist here, and sadly their money was useless as well. They learned that vampires and werewolves were naturally enemies, but that the local packs had a unique arrangement with her family, Renesmee herself being the reason the packs initially split into 2, as well as being the "bridge" between the packs and Cullens. Renesmee learned of Kishin and the DWMA, of weapons and meisters, of minions and towers, and how Iris and Mitsu met and were paired together. After almost 2 hours of conversation, and contrasts and comparisons between this world and the one Mitsu and Iris were used to, the 3 girls all returned to the Cullen estate as fast friends.
