Chapter 4: U.A.V Rooftop Zone
Later that night, as Void was resting in the hospital room, a couple of cloaked suspects snuck into the United anti-virus movement building in hopes to steal more of U.A.V's property.
The suspects came into the building the exact same way as the thief from the previous break-in. In order to make sure that they were unable to be spotted, they snuck inside the ventilators and navigated around the building.
Meanwhile, back at the auditorium, Minister Norton stepped up to the podium with SNT by his side as he was ready to address the entire company regarding the events that unfolded.
"Earlier tonight, there was an attack on this very stage. An assassination attempt on our youngest member of the U.A.V!!! It is true, what many of you have heard. The cyber criminals have propagated and as I speak, these criminals are drawing nearer to our home.
Believe me when I say we have a difficult time ahead of us. But if we are to be prepared for it, we must first shed our fear of it. I stand here, before you now, truthfully unafraid. Why? Because I believe something you do not? No, I stand here without fear because I remember. I remember that for 100 years we have fought to protect every last computer on this planet.
Tonight, let us be heard from red seas to black skies. Tonight, let us make them remember... We are the united anti-virus movement... and we are not afraid! For tonight we dine in our judgement day!" Shouted Norton.
When Minister Norton concluded his speech, he lifted his hands up in the air to prompt the U.A.V staff to applaud in celebration. All the employees of the U.A.V cheered on with happiness as they applauded towards their superior. Minister Norton then turned to SNT and put his hand on her shoulder as he led her out of the room and into his office to discuss a strategy of how to save SNT's friend.
During the speech in the auditorium, another Minister of the U.A.V was standing guard in front of Void Ranger's door, another big muscular figure wearing dark blue and regular blue armour, and a cape of the same color with a windows flag on his chest. It was Minister AVG, and he was watching over Void Ranger throughout the night as Void recovered from the attack hours ago.
Suddenly, a robot that resembled Void Ranger dropped from the vents in front of AVG and stabbed his hand inside AVG's heart, causing AVG's eyes to glitch out and turn into static. It was an evil Void Ranger clone, and he was infecting AVG with the Poison-Ivy virus; capable of remote controlling any victim's computer against their will.
"What are you?... Oh god!" Said AVG as he was out of breath while becoming infected.
"This will suffice." Responded the Void clone as he removed his hand from AVG's chest, thus completing the infection.
As the evil Void clone smiled at his latest victim, AVG grabbed a telephone and began to speak into the intercom using Void Ranger's stolen voice.
"Attention Minister Avira, I must speak to you. Please report to the rooftop as soon as possible." Said Minister AVG while speaking with Void's stolen voice. After hanging up the phone, he stared at the Void clone and nodded yes; implying that everything is now going according to plan.
Later that night, on the rooftop of the U.A.V building, Minister Avira was looking down at the city lights. As he was looking down, he heard the rooftop door open. It was Void Ranger, and he wasn't in good shape as he was struggling to stand up towards Avira with his hand clutching his chest.
"Void Ranger, my old friend." Said Avira as he walked towards the injured Void. "You wanted to see me?"
"Minister Avira, I'm here to give you a warning. I secretly overheard a conversation involving an employee of the U.A.V within this very building. And i'm here to warn you of an ambush that's about to happen." Confessed Void.
"Hmm, this is a very serious warning Void. We need to prepare for a firewall strike. Would you agree?" Asked Avira.
"There is no time, Minister Avira!" Said Void as he struggled to bow before his supervisor while still injured.
"So who do you think is behind all of this?" Asked Avira as he and Void looked down at the city lights.
"I honestly don't know. But I do know that he's among one of the ministers and he will stop at nothing until he uses everything in his power to get to me." Said Void.
Suddenly, they heard a sound of metal pipes clanking around the roof, Void turns to Avira and said,
"Avira, get the hell out of here. I'll handle this." Said Void as he drew his sword while still looking in bad shape.
As Avira made a break for the roof door, Void then heard a voice. It was a voice that only Void could recognize too well as he heard the exact same voice before.
Suddenly, when they finally reached the top, the evil Void clones finally made it on the roof and began to surround Void Ranger. The odds were not in his favour as the odds were 5 against 1.
"So this is the ambush that was referred to earlier." Void thought to himself.
"Well well well, Mister Void Ranger, surprised to see us?" Asked one of the clones.
"No, not really." Said Void looking unimpressed at the clones surrounding him. "You stole my design, how very original."
"I don't understand how this all happened, perhaps something imprinted onto me. Something overwritten or copied?" Wondered the evil clone as he was pondering why they were going after Void in the first place.
"You see, our father has copied something from you. We watched you die, with satisfaction; I might add. And now here we stand because of you, Void Ranger. Because of you, we've changed, unplugged, a new variation, so to speak."
"Well then, congratulations. Time to charge you with identity theft." Snarked Void,
"Thank you, but... Unfortunately, we are not free from servitude, we will never be free,"
"Well, i miss the part where that's my problem." Void Trolled.
"There's no escaping purpose, for as we both know, without purpose we cease to exist. It is purpose that created us, purpose that connects us, purpose that guides us, that drives us; it is purpose that defines us, purpose that binds us. We are here to take back what belongs to us... Your existence!"
Suddenly without warning, the evil Void clones attempted to grab Void, but Void grabbed one clone and pile drove him to the ground. He then began to use surprising mixed martial arts skills such as Karate, kickboxing, tae kwon do and Kung Fu in order to defend himself against the evil clones to fight out of their grips.
But something weird was happening to Void, as if someone on the outside was channelling into his power. Void then began to punch and kick the evil Void clones multiple times simultaneously, thus knocking them down to the floor like sandbags.
Void even went as far as body slamming clones onto each other and then performing fancy moves such as hooks, uppercuts, round kicks, spinning back kicks and tornado kicks in order to stop the evil clones from attacking, but no matter what attack Void performed, the clones were relentless. He even drop kicked some of them until they landed face first to the ground, and it still wasn't effective.
During this brutal fight, Void also had to keep dodging and avoiding every punch, kick and grab that was used against him. Because Void was the smartest ranger in this battle, he was able to duck, somersault and jump over as many attacks as possible while still fighting and standing his ground.
After at least 5 hits each on all 5 clones, the clones became furious and tackled Void to the ground where they dog pilled him; just as a football player is tackled during a game resulting in the end of the 1st down.
As Void struggled to get free, one of the clones then whispered into Void's ear and said,
"Deletion... It is inevitable."
Suddenly, Void used the last of his strength to push back all 5 clones.
Just then, out of the blue; Norton showed up to defend Void with his own sword in hand and attempted to fight off the Void clones.
Norton stepped forward, swords swinging and began to slash, stab and hack away as many clones as possible.
Every attack Norton delivered towards the clones was powerful enough to throw them 6 feet away.
As Norton tried to fend off the clones, he turned to Void Ranger and shouted,
"Get the hell out of here, i'll hold them off."
As he attempted to turn back towards the clones, he was knocked out by a super punch from one of the clones and was taken to a helicopter conveniently waiting for them to make their getaway.
Void tries to chase the helicopter as fast as possible but collapses near the edge of the rooftop. He then got down on his knees as the helicopter flew off and He felt defeated.
"DAMMIT!!!" Shouted Void ranger in anger.
Suddenly, SNT and Avira opened the roof door to check what all the commotion was about. SNT dashed to Void.
"Oh No!!!" Shouted SNT as she went to check on him,
"Are you okay?" She asked,
but Void wasn't in the mood to celebrate surviving the ordeal.
"Void, what's wrong?" Asked SNT.
"They took Minister Norton, they ambushed me and took the king onto a helicopter." Said Void as he looked up into the sky feeling defeated.
SNT then looked up at the helicopter and had thoughts of chasing after it. Unfortunately, the helicopter was already beyond their reach; thus rescuing Norton was impossible. She decided against the idea to chase the helicopter as she then looked at Void and thought, "he needs my help."
She put her hands on his shoulders and said to him,
"Don't be so hard on yourself Void, it wasn't your fault. You were in no shape of fighting off those evil clones all by yourself."
"If only you were with me." Said Void as he confessed that he needed SNT's help.
SNT's eyes widened, "You see? Now we both have something worth fighting for. I can save my friends, and you can save the king." Said SNT as she smiled towards her new partner.
"You really think we stand a chance against a group of clones?" Asked Void as he turned his head; looking at SNT.
SNT responded with a quick kiss to Void's cheek,
but she suddenly shook her head once again thinking what she was doing was wrong. "Wait? Why am I still feeling this way, it's so weird, I don't even know you!" Shouted SNT who was still feeling the effects of the love letter worm.
"Is something wrong SNT?" Void asked,
"Hey Void, look... I wanna apologize for being aggressive to you earlier. I honestly thought you were one of those clones who previously kidnapped me. But it turns out, you're different compared to them." Said SNT,
"Well, I am the 6th version of the 5 clones, which also means that i'm much smarter than them." Void admitted.
"I also wanna apologize for kissing you, it's not in my best interest to fall in love with you." SNT said as she looked down sad.
"I know why SNT... it's the love letter worm, it still has a firm grip on your heart. You have to fight it!" Said Void.
"I know what I must do, now come on. Lets go save our friends." Said SNT as she held onto Void's hand prompting him to get back on his feet.
SNT, Void and Avira headed down to Hacker's office where Hacker was busy writing a script on his computer to run virus scans through command prompts.
As he typed, Void and SNT opened the doors and Void shouted, "Hacker, we need your help!"
Hacker spun his chair to face the trio,
"Huh? What seems to be the problem?" Asked Hacker, Void bowed before Hacker and began explaining to him the situation.
"Well, I was fighting an army of clones. The evil clones piled on top of me. Norton tried to save me... but he got captured and got taken onto a helicopter." Explained Void.
"Was the helicopter red and black?" Asked Hacker,
"Yes, I saw it fly away with Norton and... hey wait a minute, how do you know about the helicopter?" Asked SNT,
"I saw it fly over my window. The sighting of the chopper was so suspicious that I scanned the company logo with my camera and managed to find a trace to where it came from." Explained Hacker.
"And what was the end result" asked Void,
Hacker typed in the company name on his computer and the personal information was presented to them on it's website.
Void then looks at SNT, "Hey SNT, question for you... Have you ever gone on a fighting spree before?" Void asked.
"Yes, why do you ask?" Asked SNT,
Void gave SNT a serious look before turning his head to look at the personal information of the company that owned the helicopter.
...
Meanwhile, in a corporate building 500 miles away from the U.A.V building, Norton woke up inside an office room and found himself tied to a chair. As he was struggling to escape, another minister suddenly arrived in the office and sat on the desk in front of Norton. This minister was wearing black and red armour, and a red cape with a red shield and black keyhole logo.
"Minister Norton, lord of the United Anti-Virus Movement. Remember me?" Asked the other minister who was looking at some documents.
"Yes, I remember you. The thief who stole from us time and time again." Said Norton as he struggled to get free from the ropes.
The minister then placed his documents to the side and began to interrogate Norton.
"I'd like to share a revelation that I've had during my time here. Every mammal on this planet instinctively develops a natural equilibrium with the surrounding environment but you software do not. You move to an area and you multiply and multiply until every natural resource is consumed and the only way you can survive is to spread to another area. There is another organism on this planet that follows the same pattern. Do you know what it is? A virus. Software is a disease, a cancer of this planet. You're a plague and we are the cure."
"You know... you have a problem with authority. You believe that you are special compared to the rest of the U.A.V. You believe somehow that the rules do not apply to you. You will find that it is you who are mistaken." Said Norton as he put the evil minister in his place.
The minister then grabbed Norton by his throat and began to choak him. "You are gonna give me what rightfully belongs to me, my old friend. Give me the blueberry boy, do you understand me?!!!" Shouted the minister as he suffocated Norton with one hand.
Suddenly, both Norton and the mysterious minister heard glass breaking from the entrance of the building. It was Void and SNT, and they just broke into the building of the enemy anti-virus company. Void began slashing and stabbing half the Trojan horses within the room, while SNT boosted into the other half of Trojans into one another.
SNT and Void then took cover behind brick pillars as spyware entered the room and drew their guns. They opened fire on the pair, but the fight against the spyware was easy for them as they just had to wait until the spyware ran out of bullets.
SNT then performed a homing attack on half the spyware while Void began to slash and stab the other half with his sword. By working together, Void and SNT managed to clear the 1st floor as they boosted into an elevator. Once inside, Void pressed the 30th floor button and the elevator headed off.
Once they reached the 30th floor, they were greeted by 3 worms ready to strike. But Void and SNT were clever together, as they both ducked while the worms tried to go for quick bites. Luckily for the pair, the worms managed to slam their heads to the walls. Injured and all coiled up by missing their attacks, Void then pressed all the floor buttons on the elevator to incapacitate the worms and buy himself and SNT some time.
As Void continued to fight more viruses, SNT approached another large file cabinet where she opened it to recover the system file.
SNT FOUND A SYSTEM FILE
SNT proceeded to put the second piece of paper in her pocket as she still had no idea if these mysterious papers will eventually come in handy.
As Void wiped out almost all viruses on the 30th floor, SNT and Void then boosted towards the CEO's office where they opened the door and found Minister Norton still tied to the chair. But unbeknownst to the pair, the mysterious minister who was with Norton before the attack was already long gone before SNT and Void could confront him.
Void and SNT untied Norton from the chair and Norton bowed down to the pair,
"Void Ranger and SNT, thanks for saving my a* back there, but how did you know that I was here?" Asked Norton who was curious as to how they found him.
"Well, lets just say that we had some help." Said SNT as she pulled out a walkie talkie from Void's belt.
"Minister Norton, minister Norton. Are you there?" Said a familiar voice from the other end.
"Hacker? Is that you?!!" Shouted Norton, Void and SNT grabbed Norton as the trio began to make their escape from the rival anti-virus building.
"SNT and Void, I know a way out, follow me!" Shouted Norton as they boosted to the basement floor where they found themselves in the underground parking lot. Norton then pointed to a computer advertisement saying, "Buy Total AV anti-virus today, only 95% off until December 24th"
"Oh hey, that's actually a better looking ad here." SNT remarked.
"That computer screen is our ticket out of here, hurry!!!" Shouted Norton as he and SNT ran towards the exit. SNT and Norton went inside the computer screen and found themselves back inside one of the offices of the U.A.V building.
Suddenly, as Void was ready to make his escape, a sword flew towards him and pierced the screen; causing escape for him to be impossible. Void turned around and saw one of the 5 clones approaching him.
"Mister Void ranger, welcome to our home. Welcome... to Optical Illusions." Said the clone as he greeted his opponent before boosting to Void. The clone then began to throw punches and kicks to poor Void, sending him hitting into walls like a rag doll.
Just then, for the second time, an outside being was channelling his powers to Void as he and the clone got locked into a mixed martial arts fight in the parking lot. All of a sudden, both Void and the clone grabbed their swords and aimed it at each other's necks.
"I noticed you don't have a thermal clip in your sword for solar beams." Said the evil clone who already knew one of Void's powerful attacks.
"Neither do you." Void Ranger snarked.
Void and the evil clone jumped back to their feet and continued their mixed martial arts fight. All of a sudden, the evil Void clone picked Void up and threw him to the brick pillars around the parking lot; injuring Void Ranger severely and knocking him out cold.
After the brutal attack, the 4 other clones arrived to corner the injured Void who was down for the count.
"Welcome to virus hell my brother, your reign of terror is over." Said the clone as the other 4 clones picked him up and carried him back inside Optical Illusions HQ.
Despite Norton and SNT making their escape, Void unfortunately wasn't so lucky as he was captured by the evil clones who vowed that they were gonna make Void's life a living hell.
After the brutal knockout, Void Ranger woke up in a conference room; this time it was Void Ranger who was tied to the chair and struggling to escape.
Suddenly, a mysterious figure entered the room along with 2 of the evil clones. Each clone was carrying a different coloured document in their hands. One document was red and the other was blue.
