Loud gasps could be heard echoing through the streets...

I had finally gotten to the town, and the storm hadn't made things any better. At the moment I was drenched, and the riolu was too, I had attempted to use my purple hoodie to wrap around the riolu so it wouldn't get a cold from the storm, and it seemed to be working for now. Only time could tell how long I had left until this little guy kicked the bucket.

My feet slammed against the concrete, I was pushing myself to limits I didn't think possible attempting to save this Pokemon; It didn't help that I was ultimately grasping for any form of air from my Asthma. But I had to ignore that, I have to focus and just move forward.

The outskirts of the town had limited people, and even more limited Pokemon. The ones I did pass by would look at me like I was a strange anomaly, and none looked more than a few seconds at me,if those were even considered looks; they looked more like glares then looks, but whatever they case it would only be a few seconds of staring before they would then just mind their own business like nothing happened… These townsfolk really weren't all that nice huh? Perhaps it was because I was a stranger, but this certainly didn't feel like a warm welcome to me.

Finally, after a minute or so, I had reached the poke center, it radiated a sense of hope and warmth, the red roof contrasting against the dark gloomy sky, I was almost transfixed to it until I heard the riolu cough, snapping me back into reality. I sped towards the center, near meters away, when I tripped over a brick on the street that was a bit out of place. I could feel myself losing grasp of the ground and slip/fall, but as I was falling I instinctively flipped myself around, so my back took the force and impact while also protecting the tiny Pokemon in my hands.

I gasped, the pain creeping across my body; what's worse, the pain of constant running and the injuries from before had finally caught up to me. I was breathing very slowly, and was looking around for any help, I couldn't even crawl to the center in time.

I figured I had about enough energy to say one sentence, so I had to use it wisely here. As I was rolling around in pain, I noticed a feminine figure had appeared next to me, holding an umbrella. I could barely see much of their face but I managed to let out a sentence "Please, heal this riolu, it's in critical danger" I then fainted, my eyes closing and my vision blurry, before I saw complete darkness.
