Walking back to Amber's apartment, I only now noticed that I had no idea what my next course of action was; Well I did, but that was… a forethought really.

I never imagined I would have second thoughts of traveling the pokemon world since I've always dreamed of it, but here I am I suppose. On the trot back, I got to know more about Leonidas, my riolu. Amber told me that riolu was most likely outcast from his family for being the runt, since the riolu line had natural instincts of survival of the fittest, as most pokemon do (Which reminded me of dogs from my world, I wonder if they exist here?) at least according to Amber.

It seemed that Pokemon were connected to people in more than one way though, as even pokemon fall victim to things like being outcast and not accepted. People also had those same kinds of tragic backgrounds, it was one of the reasons I enveloped myself in games, to escape the tragic reality… However, what did catch my attention was the fact that Amber had more information on that thug.

Apparently thugs were common around this region, as they often are. But the most notorious group was "Team Icarus" Who apparently took their name from an ancient mythological adventure… The part that caught my attention was the fact that this team was clearly using it's basis after the legend of Icarus, the son of Daedalus who flew too close to the sun and died from it.

Even though there have been many similarities in this world with my own, I was glad that one constant remained, history; to an extent. Although I'm sure it's slightly altered to appreciate the value of Pokemon more, it seems near identical besides that fact. We continued to walk, my pondering getting the best of me. "Hey Amber, I know this is a hypothetical question, but since I'm not from around here I just wanted to know what this world is called?"I didn't want to out myself JUST yet so I was careful asking; Amber shook her head casually and replied, "That certainly is an odd question, but we live in a world called "Te aeternum" now that one really caught me off guard.

I was fairly certain that was Latin, which meant this world was way more heavily influenced in the Greek arts then I originally imagined; at least it's not all that bad though, it could have been layered in Persian influence, and god (Arceus now?) would only know how well that could go. This trek to Amber's apartment was a lot longer than last time, but I felt that I really not only got to know more about this world and my partner, and also learnt a lot more about what I'm dealing with here.

But a few things here are for certain, I'm not going to let team Icarus go that easily, and I should definitely search up whatever Te aeternum means. But, that thought wavered when we finally got to Amber's small cottage of an apartment and entered. Even though I've only been here once, it felt nice to be back. I guess now would be a perfect time for some quality studying.
