I DO NOT OWN THE SELECTION SERIES. SHOUT OUT TO NIKT WANZY AND RUBY CASABLANCA FOR CREATING THESE CHARACTERS. I AM GETTING RID OF THE FINAL 3 THROWAWAY/UNCLAIMED CHARACTERS. SO NOW, WE CAN FOCUS ON THE OC'S THAT ACTUALLY MATTER.

Schreave Palace. Province of Angeles. 32 days into Selection.

Yesenia Avalos was grimacing in the chair as her stylist worked on her. The remaining 16 selected were going to have a sanctioned photo op with the Illèan press. King Maxon II had arranged it so that they would all be rated by the Angeles Standard newspaper. The 3 selected that scored the lowest would be eliminated. Yesenia had no desire to be one of them. She would put on a good show for the reporters if that is what it took. Her stylist had put her in a long lacy red dress with her typical red makeup. The maid had to admit that she looked absolutely stunning.

Once she had received her stylist's seal of approval, she joined the rest of the selected in he courtyard where several journalists and photographers were there waiting for her. There were over a hundred cameras snapping and flashing as a literal ton of pictures were being taken of Yesenia and the other men, women, and humans.

"Over here miss Smallwood!" one photographer cried out as she turned to give them a decent pose. It had gotten easier for Yesenia to feel comfortable in her role as Everly Smallwood over time, but it was still incredibly surreal for her to pose on the royal runaway like some kind of supermodel; which in her mind, she was not. Luckily for her, the paparazzi seemed more focused in the selected that had established themselves as fan favorites: the photography student Lily St. James, the blogger and author Anna Bristol, and surprisingly, the mechanic Noah Addington; to name a few. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw that Princess Melody was shooting the breeze with some other selected. Yesenia was pouting inwardly, because knew better than to let it show on her face and risk getting eliminated. Since her arrival, she'd had a few choice moments with the crown princess, but the fake Everly Smallwood knew full well that those few moments alone would not be nearly enough to keep her in the competition. Selected were getting eliminated left and right and unless she could manage to make an impression on the heir to the throne of Illéa, and a serious impression at that, Yesenia would eventually be sent home. The only problem was that she didn't quite know how to be in a serious relationship. The threat of her deception being exposed also did not help her chances at all.

Eventually, the photo op came to an end and Lucrezia Bellincioni could not have been more pleased with herself if she tried. She had clearly been the star of the photo op and by the way the photographers and journalists had been fawning over her, she was clearly not the only one who thought as such. At the end of the event, the selected had been ushered back into the palace where the King's Personal secretary: Benvolio Jackson informed that based on the feed back that he had received from the press, it had been decided that the three selected that were going to be sent home were the non binary person from Tammins, the boy from Whites, and the trans girl from Yukon. As could be expected, there were tears and curses a plenty as the eliminated were ushered back to their rooms in order to pack their bags and book their flights.

As Lucrezia was eating dinner, she excused herself to use the ladies's room. She went inside and did her business and once she came out to wash her hands, the actress was stunned to see no other than Crown Princess Melody Schreave sitting on the floor next to the sink.

"Your majesty." Lucrezia said as she curtsied.

"Hello Lucrezia." Melody said with a weak smile as she moved to wash her hands.

"What are you doing in here?" miss Bellincioni inquired as Melody shrugged.

"I just needed a break, my mom was giving me Hell about spending time with selected outside of sanctioned dates." she replied as she heaved a sigh. Her mother had seen her kiss with Rosa Quinton and she had not been pleased at all.

"I'm sure that your mother just wants what is best for you, she is a very smart lady." Lucrezia reasoned as Melody nodded.

"I know...I just wished that I could be normal." the princess insisted.

"Normal, why would you want to be normal when you're a princess, your life is perfect!" the actress exclaimed as the heir to the Schreave throne gave her a nod.

"I suppose you're right, thanks for talking to me Lucrezia." Melody said even though she didn't agree with Lucrezia at all.

"You're welcome Melody." she replied as she decided to lean in and kiss Melody on the cheek before leaving. Even though it felt nice, it didn't take away Melody's longing for a life outside the palace and away from the press and her tyrannical parents.

WITH ONLY THE SERIOUS OC'S LEFT, THINGS ARE ABOUT TO GET EXTREMELY INTENSE. REVIEWS NEEDED AND APPRECIATED.
