A/N: This is the final chapter and I'm freaking out. I can actually not believe this is the final chapter in this fanfic right now. This was literally like a joke in my head. I was not going to actually ya know… actually make like a full-on fanfic and just simply finish it in like a month.

I feel so… I really hate the word blessed, but so lucky to actually have so many incredibly kind readers. The response to this fanfic was madness.

I know I have a lot of other undone fics currently, but I realize that a lot of you want more of this, which is what I will give you. And I know, even before I've started writing this chapter, that a lot of you will not be happy with me when I finish this. This is the formal warning, even though I feel like nobody reads the notes anyways so who cares. Anyone feels like commenting that they actually read this note? I bet nobody does xD

In April NaNoWriMo camp starts, and I put the goal to 20k words. Now that is totally doable, considering I did 20k for this fanfic in a month and 50k on home is where the heart is in November. That means for you that you are getting a whole other 20k fic in April as well! And I could have done 20k on HIWTHS and finish that one… or "finished" it. But I've decided I want to make another one for this Wanda and Nat series.

I also have another second! Fic I in mind. Not in this series but something very different. And that's ALSO another Wanda and Natasha moment fanfic.

So yes, EVEN MORE WANDA NAT. I think you guys are going to really like that one as well. Like A-LOT.

Also complete sidenote. I don't know how to write action scenes, like at all. So you just have to pretend this is more badass than what I make it, okay.

Okay.

Perfect.

Anyways. It's time… to finish this…

Happy reading. Don't kill me.

Wanda was shaking as she watched Natasha look at her with two tired, beaten up eyes. She had cuts and scrapes everywhere. Painted by her own blood after crashing and shattering the big full-sized mirror behind her. What little clothes she had had on had clearly not protected her skin and Wanda could see long cuts down her arms and legs. It looked like she had been completely beaten up, not standing a chance against Harrie who was resting the gun against the redhead's temple.

Harrie looked fine. Maybe slightly banged up, but it didn't look like Natasha had actually been able to get her hands on the other woman. Instead, it looked like Natasha had lost.

But she was Natasha Romanoff, she wasn't supposed to lose like this.

Wanda continued to shake but decided against trying to fight, instead, she continued standing still as she felt Carl move past her still pointing the gun at her. He was wearing a grin on his face. The kind that made Wanda feel sick in her stomach.

"Why so angry Wanda? We might not have recognized you immediately, but we got there." Harrie said as she looked at her with a small grin. When she didn't get the reply she wanted, she turned around to the woman on the other end of the gun.

"But I swear from all of the stories I have heard about the infamous Black Widow, her crashing to the floor in only a few seconds wasn't part of those myths. What happened deary, not feeling great?" Harries asked with an almost mocking tone as she lowered the gun only to let her hand grab Natasha's chin to force her to look at her.

"Man, what an absolute failure. You know. I admired your work back at KGB. You were legendary. And now you are here flirting your ass off and STILL failing. Come on Natasha." Harrie continued as pushed Natasha away and started to circle the room instead.

"Now, I don't know why Shield thought they would find anything here. I mean is it that hard to believe that we just wanted to go on a vacation with our significant others. They always do want to take everything away from everybody, don't they? Well, they won't find anything here. We weren't even planning on doing anything" Wanda watched as Natasha slowly moved her head to follow the woman as she talked, locking her eyes as Harried finished up her speech.

"Yes, that is right deary, you two, came her for nothing. Sure, now you know we are Hydra, but you pushed yourself so hard your body failed you, just to get that information. And you will, very sadly, be too dead to tell the rest of your precious little organisation." Harrie kicked softly at Natasha. Making the woman groan low as she connected the kick with her stomach not even trying to fight back.

"And don't you even try. Wanda Maximoff." Harrie turned around looking at her with a small pout. "We haven't forgotten you. Little miss, I have powers. You know I am impressed. You hid it very well. Didn't even see you use them once. Sadly, you slamming the door open with two red glowing hands didn't work in your favour this time. And while I'm sure you can just float the gun from Carl's hand off and away, I don't think Natasha would want that."

Wanda just stared at the woman as she continued to threaten them. She didn't know what to do. She needed to do something, but she couldn't take on the two of them alone, and Natasha didn't even look like she wanted to try. It all felt wrong. It felt off. She couldn't believe Natasha was in front of her, giving up.

"Don't you get yourself a headache now Wanda. It isn't much you can do you see. I mean look at you, look at her." Harrie said as she slowly sat down on the bed looking at her with a small smile.

"I mean if you want to be helpful, you can tell me what way you think Natasha would prefer to die. Do you think with a knife or gun?"

"Don't you even la-" Wanda started trying to take a step forward before she was forced to stop as Harrie pointed the gun straight at Natasha again the same time she felt Carl move closer to her as well.

"That's what I thought" Harrie laughed as Wanda moved back breathing heavily.

"Anyways, you didn't answer my question," Harrie said as she watched Wanda lower her arms and calm down in front of her.

She didn't know what she could even do at this point. Harrie clearly had them here and she couldn't risk doing something that might hurt Natasha, but at the same time, the last thing she wanted was to hurt Natasha.

"Listen if you aren't going to talk at all we are going to make it very easy for the two of you. Two bullets it is – "

"HARRIE!"

It felt like it all happened in slow motion. One second Wanda was standing there listening to Harrie talk to her and the next second the door slammed open with Lexie looking at them with big eyes.

It all happened with just reflexes. From her throwing herself at Carl with two flaming red hands and Natasha on the other side of the room throwing a glass shard straight at Harrie making the woman scream in furry.

She didn't even know what she was doing, it was definitely not her head that was in charge of what she was doing right now.

It felt like anger. Anger aimed at Carl and Harrie who had trapped Natasha. Who had tricked them all and now was going to kill them. Who even dared to think the thought of laying a finger on Natasha's body.

Wanda's head snapped back to earth when they heard a loud shot from a gun.

She threw her head to the side the same moment Natasha in just the last second got the grip of Harrie's wrist and re-aimed the gun right into the wall.

Wanda let out a loud exhale of relief as she watched the redhead redirect what should have been a fatal shot for anyone else than Natasha Romanoff. And with both Harrie and Carl thrown off by the pure power of the redhead, Wanda turned to the man taking advantage of the situation as she forced Carl's gun out of his hand, floating it straight across the room and into the wall with a force that was stronger than she intended.

Even with just a very minimal knowledge of martial arts she was able to hold her ground with her powers as a sidekick. It helped to have Natasha in her side view, watching Natasha barely getting touched by the other woman before she with ease threw Harrie over her head and onto the floor with a loud bang.

Feeling the insane need to prove herself Wanda connected a kick with Carl. She could feel the man crumble under her leg but soon after a fist she wasn't prepared for came flying towards her face.

For a moment she was only seeing white. And even when she got back her sight, she was seeing stars as she stumbled away from the wall, thrown off by the power Carl had put into the punch.

"Hands off" Wanda blinked as she heard Natasha growl to her right. What had seemed like a completely broken and tired woman was now gone, and Natasha's eyes were on fire as she punched Carl the first time. Only based on the man's loud groan she could tell that was a very hard punch.

With Natasha's left hand forcing Carl's right up in the air, and her right hand doing the punching, the man had no chance of punching back. And after two rapids, but devastatingly hard punches to the gut the man fell to the floor as well.

"You, okay?" Natasha turned around and looked at Wanda with two extremely upset eyes. She walked straight up to her, not giving the two other humans in the room even a second of attention, grabbing Wanda's head carefully to look at her face.

Wanda could feel Natasha's cold hand on her skin. The cold feeling from her fingertips mixed with blood on the woman's hand as she moved Wanda's face around inspecting the damage.

She had already forgotten the other two before they again heard the sound of a gun. And with a hard shove, Wanda slammed into the wall again as Natasha shoved her out of the way before dragging a fifth person into the situation.

"Let go of the trigger. I dare you." Wanda could only see Natasha's back as she challenged the other woman. With a giant glass shard in her bare hand, Natasha was standing in a way you could tell, she would not hesitate for a second to let go of her weapon if they did.

Where or when she had picked up the glass Wanda had no idea, but now Natasha was pressing one of the ends right against Lexie's neck dangerously close to her skin.

Wanda had forgotten she had been there. That she had been the trigger for this fight, but now the woman was standing in front of her, shaking wildly in Natasha's strong arms.

It was very obvious Lexie hadn't been aware of the situation and Wanda could already tell she wasn't part of this whole show. The woman was horrified. And with Natasha standing there with the sharp edge against her neck, and Harrie, her supposed girlfriend pointing a gun at them, it was no wonder she was scared.

"Not so fun being on the other end is it," Natasha said, and Wanda could feel the mocking tone. It was game over. Wanda and Natasha had shown they could take the upper hand. And even if Harrie ended up letting go of the trigger and somehow shooting a fatal shoot at Natasha, it would not in any scenario end without Natasha being able to shove her own weapon straight into Lexie's neck probably killing her faster with just the shard and her hands than Harrie could with a gun, ending up just dragging both of them down. It was just a matter of hitting a painful spot before snapping her neck, which Wanda was very aware the woman was able to do.

Wanda could see the pain in Harrie's eyes. She could see the hesitation and the fear before she let go of the gun. Letting it fall to the floor with a thud. It was a defeat. And while part of Wanda was surprised they gave up this easily, she was happy they did.

She looked at them for a second before Natasha nodded at them and Wanda collected herself enough to float the two handguns over to the redhead. And only then she let go of Lexie, lowering her own hands.

Natasha looked at Lexie with a small, tired smile before letting go of the glass. It was a concern in her green eyes Wanda noticed. In a way, it looked like Natasha felt with Lexie. And while Wanda didn't know what had happened before she had entered the room, she found it weird Natasha was so sympathetic with Lexie. Even if she didn't seem to be part of this mess, she was still more on the enemies team than theirs.

"They will be here any second now," Natasha said, turning to Wanda for the second time. "When they get here, and they are secured I want to look at you okay?" Natasha's voice was both strict but filled with affection at the same time, and Wanda could only nod before she watched the redhead put her attention back at the two enemies.

After the team got here Wanda felt the relief wash over her. Maria together with a rather big team walked into the room only a few minutes after they had ended the fight. And while Wanda wasn't aware Maria was included in the team even, she was happy she was here. She trusted Maria more than the other people here.

Natasha had ended up letting the two stay untied in the room, knowing none of them would try to move with Lexie in Natasha's reach.

After Maria's team arrived, they got them in handcuffs and pushed them out of the room with Wanda, Natasha and Lexie trailing behind letting them clean up and look in the room in peace.

While Shield didn't exist anymore Wanda had a feeling what Maria and Natasha between each other were mainly built on and around Shield, or at least it had started that way. She knew they were close. And Natasha had told her she trusted multiple of the women in Shield with her life without mentioning any names. It was the kind of relationship Wanda didn't understand. And in a way, she felt both left out and out of place when the two started to talk to each other.

They took Natasha and her room to use as a space for them to talk. And as Maria questioned them, she could feel Natasha lower her walls finally letting Wanda see the state she really was in.

The first thing they did when they entered the room was to make sure Lexie was okay. Natasha apologized at least five times for what she had done as she made sure Lexie hadn't gotten hurt while she was in the fight. After that, they tried to explain to her, but Lexie ended up not wanting to hear too much about the explanation just telling them to continue to do whatever they needed to fix this.

After that Natasha let Maria look at her completely broken right hand. Cut open by the multiple glass shards she decided to throw around. While they did that, they talked about what had happened. It felt surprisingly relaxed, and Wanda was surprised this wasn't more… serious.

The last thing that happened was, Natasha, got her hands on Wanda again. After Maria finally let go of her hand Natasha immediately walked over to Wanda to look at her again. It was no hiding Natasha was truly affected by what had happened and had a very big need for making sure she and lexie were fine when she clearly was the one that needed some looking after.

It killed Wanda that she seemed so broken when she didn't let any of them ask or help her. Sure she had let Maria sitch up her hand, but the second maria had tried to ask about her and not the actual event Natasha had turned silent and cold.

Wanda could tell Maria too noticed how the woman was dodging the topic as well as keeping a close eye on Natasha as the redhead slowly cleaned over Wanda's face. Maria's eyes were concerned, but even so, she didn't say anything.

"I am going to talk with the team, okay. Taking Lexie with me. Meet me by the jet in a couple of hours, okay?" Maria said after a while of silence, turning to them as Natasha nodded shortly back. It wasn't really a question clearly. It was definitely more like a statement, and Wanda had to just accept that she was stranded with Natasha here alone now.

Wanda watched as Lexie left with Maria. She gave her a small smile before exiting the room. And while she really was in custody of the Avengers and couldn't really do anything, she seemed surprisingly relaxed now. Wanda wasn't really sure if that was a good thing, but she couldn't do anything about it either.

Wanda looked after them until they were out of the room. And when she turned back, she met Natasha's eyes being locked at her. Two very concerned eyes were staring her down, making her feel very uncomfortable very fast.

"You should never have gone after me." Natasha finally said after what felt like a million years of silence.

"What do you mean?" Wanda was genuinely surprised, and in a way almost hurt. How could she say that?

"you put yourself in danger. You didn't know what was behind that door." Natasha continued casually as if this was the most obvious thing in the world.

"Natasha, I knew you were in danger how can you say that? You were on the floor. I could feel you in pain. You are still in pain!... I"

"that doesn't mean you put yourself in danger instead of me. Something could have happened to you. And what if I couldn't protect you?" Natasha's voice was higher now. And Wanda could see some anger in her pupils. Maybe she shouldn't have pushed, but it was such an unfair scenario. Was Natasha really that blind? Was she really this stupid to not see that Wanda cared and needed to protect and make sure she was safe too?

"What about me helping and protect you too? I don't care if I maybe put myself at risk. Shouldn't I be able to help you and protect you when I know for a fact that you are in da -"

"Not if it comes at the expense of you, no!"

"But I care about you!"

"Well, I DON'T NEED YOU TOO!" Wanda stopped completely when Natasha snapped. Her eyes were filled with pain and Wanda could almost feel the heartbreak in Natasha when she finally lowered her voice.

"I don't need you to care about me when all I care about is y…I need you to stay safe." Natasha paused before looking at her slowly letting her expression change.

"Do what I say. That's an order." Natasha looked at her one last time before moving over to her suitcase. Closing it with one swift motion picking it up and leaving the room and Wanda behind.

A/N: I told you, you wouldn't be happy with me. And I'm not sorry. I will not take it back. Keep you at the edge of your seat ya know.

The next instalment of this will probably be posted next weekend, ish, maybe (lol that's a lie because I wrote that note like Wednesday this week and yeah it will not be published this weekend because I haven't started at all).

Like I said in the description in this series "how to *not*fall for a superspy" - "Small series of mini-stories and one-shots of Wanda basically just falling in love with Natasha and Natasha not doing anything about it making Wanda really frustrated as well as even more desperate to finally get the woman to embrace her, or at least fuck her.

Doesn't really have a timeline. Just me having fun with writing. Mixed ratings and lengths."

And what does that mean for you and the need for the continuation of this fanfic prearticular? Well, I cannot promise I will answer all the loose ends I left in this fanfic, and every fanfic in this series really. Every single one of these fanfics should be able to be a stand-alone without any knowledge from the other fanfics. Kinda like (most) marvel movies can just be seen without having to see any or all of the previous movies. They will be good alone but even better if you actually have seen the rest of them.

As a small teaser for the next one, I guess. We are kinda going in that direction where I left Natasha and Wanda now. Not following just this event but some more things in the middle and kinda this whole Wanda being really unsure about what and how Natasha is.

It's going to be the same style with the ish 2-3k word chapters where I don't go into every single detail about everything like I would in like my big main 100k stories. It's a lot more fluffy and not as much drama in this one as well. Very cute in general, I think. I really think people will like this because this is like gay panic Wanda ALL-THE-TIME.

And also, I'm gonna introduce some new regulars into this series, and if you know me at all, I think you know who. If you actually read this and know who I mean, comment down below and I'll let you give me a prompt to dedicate a chapter (or part of a chapter) in the next fanfic.

I hope you loved this fanfic as much as I did. Thank you so, so much for reading this. Thank you to everyone who commented. Everyone who left kudos, bookmarks, anything really. Thank you so, so much.

I love you all and hope you have a wonderful day, a wonderful week. Sending you all much love. And I will talk to you in a few days!

Lots of freaking love, Red 3.
