"How lucky I am! Looks like my target came directly to me!" Warden Wrath laugh again, preparing now two big fireballs on his hands "Don't believe that I have forget what you did to me in the Conformatorium!".

Luz took a step forward and with both hands activated a glyph of fire and one of ice together, the collision of temperatures made a cloud of fog cover her for a moment, when Wrath attacked she was no longer there, but now she had 5 of them running towards the soldiers with their glyphs at the ready. The soldiers raised their magic spears and from them fired a lightning each, each attack passed through the illusions created by Gus, the last Luz launched herself next to where Eda, Camila and Lilith were and placed another glyph of ice to create now a thick and tall wall that would cover them at least for a few moments from other attacks. The coven soldiers tried to go around the wall, but Willow with her vines and Viney on Puddles managed to repel them and make them back a few steps, while they did this, Gus kept creating illusions of both them and he to try to overwhelm his attackers or that at least they won't get hit with one of those lightning spells. It was not the best strategy, but it would give them time.

"Mamá!" Luz immediately hugged Camila like if she haven't see her in years, the mother was speechless, what were those moves? What was that magic? Where did Luz learn to be like this? This confidence, this determination, it was something that Luz had never shown at ... home, it is because the human world was not really her home, in the isles her daughter was totally in her element and Camila could appreciate it. She returned the hug, her daughter was no longer a little girl who needed to be protected, or at least not all the time.

Their little moment was interrupted by the loud crash of something crashing against the wall of ice, Warden Wrath had transformed his hands into giant hammers and was hitting the wall to knock it down. Luz separated from her mother, and with a determined look she pulled out more glyphs from her pocket. "I will give you time, please take care of Eda".

"Luz wait!" Camila took her hand to stop her from leaving, "I don't know what exactly those papers are but it's pretty obvious that they contain magic, just be careful please, I manage to save your vile sack but but still in a delicate state, don't use large amounts of magic or you might collapse again".

"Wait! I can do magic the traditional way?!" Luz said with genuine surprise, she made a small circle with her fingers, and on her hand a light spell was formed. The girl eyes become stars as her smile grew big enough to occupy almost her entire face "I CAN DO MAGIC!". Luz was in a total estate of happiness, making light spell after light spell with her free hand "Oh I can't wait to show this to Amity!" Camila was happy to see that even with all that had happened, her daughter was still the sweet girl that was fascinated by magic, still, she made some little coughs to get her attention. "Oh right! No excess of magic from now on!".

As Luz went back to try to contain Wrath, Camila returned her attention to the injured Eda. She could heal her wounds, make her get up again, she could make everything for her except cure that curse, that was something out of her capabilities.

Lilith put a hand on Camila's shoulder, she almost got hit again by the surprised woman. "Lilith?! What are you doing? Are you seriously going to continue with this after the emperor betrayed you?!".

"No".

"Are you that fanatic or have you been brainwa- Camila stop, looking directly at Lilith's face she could see shame for what she had done and a new conviction.

"I may not be a good sister, but I wish to be a good sister-in-law and a good aunt," Camila quickly processed what those words meant, Lilith was giving her her blessing to be with Eda. At a time like this? "I should have done this a long time ago".

The woman knelt down and stuck her forehead with that of her unconscious and transformed sister. "It's that?..."

"With this spell declared, let the pain be shared". And a flashing light covered them both, blinding Camila for a few seconds.

The battle against Wrath and his guards was not going very well for the children, Gus had been cornered by two of the coven soldiers and now he was using his illusions not to be caught, in that distraction he had left Willow and Viney uncovered, the second was shot down of Puddles when a strong wind spell sent her companion flying into the forest. Willow did what she could to defend herself, but her opponent was piercing through her vines with fire spells. Luz was almost out of glyphs, if this continue she would be forced to use her own magic and she really wasn't in a condition to do that.

"Alright "human", it's time for you to finally give up and come with me."

A pale hand touch Wrath's shoulder, causing him to turn, "Not if I have something to say about it," At full speed a fist connected against his chin, sending him flying a couple of feet away and slamming into the ground. Eda was back on her feet and in her mostly normal shape, save for a totally discolored new eye and a totally white line in her hair.

The coven soldier that was about to put his hands on Willow felt himself lifted up like a toy, Garrick had arrived with one of his construction coven glyphs "Do you need a hand my sprout?" He said to Willow, the girl just responded with a "Dad!" and he threw the soldier he was about to catch Viney against, knocking them both out of action. Gus felt his back against a tree, no longer having escape from the pair of soldiers who had him literally had him cornered, then Puddles appeared with Elon on her back, taking both soldiers between his claws and throwing them at Garrick, who was already waiting for them to hit both of them knocking them down.

"You are doing great honey!" Elon said as he watched as his husband took down four other soldiers who tried to support their fallen comrades. Eda was also busy, having a melee fight with Warden Wrath who was struggling to try to land a punch and block at the same time, still, Eda knew that if that huge brute managed to land a punch at her it would all end there, she had to take him down fast. "Eda!" Elon scream, the witch turned in time to receive in her hands what he had thrown at her, Owlbert "A reunion gift!" He added before flying with Puddles to where Camila and Lilith were.

"Just a little more Lilith" Camila said, after dividing the wounds between the two, Lilith had taken the worst part so Eda could go and help in the battle. Her wounds were almost gone when the little griffin landed beside her "Elon! You are back!"

"And I got something for you," getting off Puddles who immediately returned to help in the fight, he took down from his back an enormous wooden case that almost reached his shoulder in height "I think she is eager to get back to you".

Opening the case, a wooden staff immediately fly towards Camila hands and she took it almost doubting if she could still do it. "Bébinn…" At the top of the staff was sitting the figure of a fawn with antlers and wings craved on its back, that was Camila's palisman. "Bébinn!" Camila squeezed the staff as if she were giving it a hug, she had left her palisman in Elon's care when she heard that the Facilier family was famous for damaging palismans in brutal private encounters in order to provide entertainment for their guests, and in her haste to escape she couldn't go to pick her up. "I'm sorry I left you alone for so long Bébinn, are you willing to continue by my side?" The fawn's eyes lit up with a slight orange light.

Camila nodded, feeling a security that she had not felt in so many years, in a few hours she had used magic again, performed an operation, saved her daughter's life, and now she had her palisman back. She was ready to go help Eda and Luz. "Camille," Lilith said, with one arm around Elon's back helping her to stand up and her own staff in her free hand, she offered it to Camila, "Your daughter probably needs a hand".

The battle between Eda and Warden Wrath had now escalated from hand-to-hand combat to a magic duel, the custodian's bird mask had been broken after the witch hit him again and now his demonic face was showing. In addition to attacking with his fire breath, Wrath transformed his hands into tentacles with which he tried to overwhelm Eda, but Luz was there supporting him with the few glyphs he had left. It's not like Eda had much magic either, really Owlbert was the one doing all the work and she was guiding him, and if things continued like this he would get tired too soon. The balance was tipped in his favor again when a powerful lightning bolt hit the demon in his stomach making him retreat, between Luz and Eda Camila stood with her staff in her right hand pointing at Wrath and in her other hand Lilith's staff.

"Ohmygodmomyouhaveastaffto!" Luz was consumed by joy, looking at her mother being so powerful like Azura was on the books.

"And for some minutes, you too mija." She offered Lilith's staff to Luz, the girl hesitated for a second, but thinking about a team of three witches was too much to say no to the offer.

Eda was dumbfounded, staring at her with a lost in love face and slightly red cheeks, "That's it, I'm marrying her as soon as we're done with this." She thought as she made the effort to close her open mouth.

Wrath recovered as best he could but was immediately greeted by a constant wave of magical and physical attacks. Luz, Eda, Camila, all three of them were attacking him at the same time, in total synchrony as if it were something they had practiced for a long time. If the custodian had a breath to attack, his target dodged and another of the two witches gave him a direct hit that stunned him even more. The three of them threw a lightning bolt at him at the same time, sending him straight into a tree.

"I think it's time to take out the trash, don't you think Cam?" Eda said with a cocky smile.

"I think you are right, my beloved." Camila didn't miss the moment when Eda's cocky smile turned into a goofy, loving smile. "Mija, do you remember your book report at school?".

Luz was confused for a second, but then her mind connected the dots and she smile knowing what she meant, Eda seemed to know too. The three witches united their staff and together make a big circle of light. "Hey Warden Wrath!" Luz screamed to the still stunned demon that had just got up again.

"Now."

"Eat this."

"Sucka!"

The circle of light shot out a gigantic multicolored flash, one powerful enough to finally knock out the custodian.

The battle was finally over, once having Wrath and all his soldiers together it was just a matter of waiting for Perry and King to arrive. Eda and Camila did not know what the others were referring to, until the man and the demon appeared carrying several pairs of Memory Tweezers with them. "Unless you have enough magic to cast a memory spell for each of them, I suggest that you start to remove the memories you don't want them to keep, I don't know about you, but I don't want my son to be wanted for crimes against the Emperor when I haven't even graduated." They all laughed together at Perry's comment.

They were totally in charge of eliminating the entire fight from the memories of Wrath and the soldiers, they could not do anything about the Luz matter but at least they would not know that the children were involved, nor that Camila was back on the islands.

Eda was standing looking at the broken remains of the tree that had once symbolized the love that existed between her and Cam, she also no longer needed it, with all that they had just experienced, she already knew perfectly well that that love was still there.

Camila approached, standing next to Eda to look at the remains of the tree. Neither said anything even though it was obvious that they wanted to say something to each other, "So now what?" Eda was the one who talk first.

"I… I don't know, now that Luz knows the truth about her I'm sure it will be impossible to make her go through the portal back to the human world"

"Yeah, the kid's very stubborn once she makes up her mind, just like her mother" Eda teased, and Camila just let out a little laugh.

"Well, maybe I could come visit occasionally just to have an eye on her, not that I don't trust your care for her, but she is my daughter too after all".

"Yeah, that sounds like a good plan, but I have one better," Eda steeled herself and did what she should have done more than 30 years ago when she saw her leave. She gently took her hand and faced her, then knelt on one of her legs.

Camila was speechless for a second, then her eyes began to widen as the red on her face intensified, "E…Eda?".

"Cam, maybe I haven't kept my promise back then, but I have a new one for you, let's stay together, let's stay together this time. Will you marry me?" She finally said it, what she had always wanted to say but never had the courage to do. Still the silence that followed her words was starting to scare her.

"Yes." It was almost like a whisper, but still Eda heard it, "Yes, yes, yes!" Camila practically threw herself into Eda's arms, and the next thing she knew was that they were kissing, and then another kiss, and another, kissing passionately just as they did when they were young.

The small commotion made the rest of the group turn to see them, everyone reacted in their own way, the adults smiling happily at seeing their old friends really reunited this time, except for Perry who, still smiling, let out a heavy sigh like If it was a routine for him to see them like this. Viney and Willow smiled happily at the sight of such an emotional event. King and Gus both made a gesture of displeasure at the sight of such a honeyed show. But the biggest reaction was that of Luz. "Eda! That's my mom!".

"And I will be too from now on kid! Ha! So get used to it!" Eda separated for a moment to answer, although she still had Camila in her arms.

"I don't know Luz; didn't you call Eda your Mom too when we arrived?" Willow said in a teasing tone.

"I'm sure that I heard a "Leave my moms" before the fight started." Viney quickly join to tease Luz too. The girl tried to hide her embarrassment behind her hands, but her new witch ears were wagging nonstop denoting her emotions.

The whole group laugh again, Luz included. Everything felt so good, so right, so natural. Camila felt something that she hadn't felt completely since they were her, Luz and the Noce- no, mom and dad. All these people here were her family, and as long as she had them she would always be happy.

In her happiness, no one noticed that among the remains of the destroyed tree, a new sprout had bloomed.
