Hello everyone DWG here back with another chapter of RWBY: The Swarm Unleashed! Now yes, this chapter is a bit early...well at least that's how I see it, but it's okay! I just thought about it, but some of my professors don't check if some students are attending via having our face cams turned on. So, in a way, I can just ignore what they're discussing (if I can) and just keep on typing. I can just review afterward by asking my friends or taking a look at the material.

On a random note, this chapter was supposed to be uploaded a couple of days ago, but when I heard of the problem of people not being able to read the latest chapter no matter how long time has passed, I just waited. So I'm sorry about that.

Now let's check the reviews!

Janny092- Thanks! I hope this chapter and the future ones will satisfy you.

For the Swarm- Dead? I was only gone for a couple of weeks...or months...I dunno...

Well, thanks for the reassurance with Weiss, I was worried for a while there. And if you do think about it, Alain IS being more subtle by complimenting and being playful. All the while we have Jaune trying his best to appear suave. I love the noodle but his flirting skills are atrocious...and that's coming from someone who never has a girlfriend...!

*cries in the corner*

Well yeah, in the game, it'll only take a few minutes or in Kerrigan's campaign a single click of a button to get a Leviathan. And if you consider the fact that Remnant has no Minerals and Vespene gas, then yes, it would take a lot of resources and time.

Well, keep on reading, I already have an enemy in mind.

Thanks for the support, but as of now, this story hasn't been getting much hate...well, from what I can see anyway...

Acqua ofThe Back- I...don't speak Spanish, the only thing I understand is the Gracias...so, you're welcome? I hope?

Anyways, let's get it on with the chapter!

I don't own anything except some stuff

Chapter 5- Job finished...you want me to what?

"We have arrived Miss Schnee, Sir Kerrigan," Klein announced as he parked the car in front of a large mansion.

Looking at the said mansion, Alain mentally smirked. 'Looks like Willy's doing quite well for himself, too bad all of it ends tonight.' He mused as Klein opened the door and bowed as he left the car and stood there. "Weiss?" He gave her a gentle smile as he held his hand out to her causing her to blush a fair bit before she grabbed it and left the car gracefully.

Meanwhile, at the side, Klein looked at the two, more specifically at Weiss, proudly.

'Miss Schnee has acquired her first crush! I wish you all the luck, Miss Schnee!'

"Now, let's make our way inside, shall we?" He said as he and Weiss began walking towards the mansion. "This is going to be an experience," Alain said to Weiss with an eye smile as the pair of guards outside watched them closely before opening the double doors, welcoming them inside.

Immediately after entering the room, the attention went towards them. The only thing heard is the music being played by the musicians hired across the room.

Many of them were looking at Weiss, while others looked at Alain. Which would make sense since news of what happened earlier has spread rather fast.

'Not that I'm surprised.'

After a few more seconds, everyone went back to what they were doing.

Weiss looked around and saw her father watching both her and Alain with an indifferent look before continuing his conversation with a few high-class heads.

"Weiss." Her eyes widened as she heard a familiar voice calling out to her. Turning to her side, she was greeted by a woman dressed in a white military uniform, with her white hair tied into a bun. She was sporting a small smile as she walked towards the both of them.

She looked like an older Weiss, except with more...developed curves. With the similarities between the two of them, there was no mistaking that this is Weiss's sister.

"Winter!" Weiss's tone indicated that she didn't know that she was here. But once those words came out of her mouth, Weiss's demeanor seemed to change as she immediately stood straight at attention and faked a cough. "I mean, sister."

Seeing and hearing this, Alain raised a brow as he glanced at Weiss. She looked serious.

After reaching the both of them, Winter stared at him for a few seconds before turning her attention back to Weiss. "Come, and bring your date with you." She turned and began to walk, hiding her teasing smirk from the both of them.

'D-Date?!' Weiss's pale cheeks turned red as she looked down at the floor. Seeing this, Alain only chuckled as he held onto Weiss's arm causing her to jump a small bit before looking at him. "Can't keep your sister waiting now." He gently smiled as Weiss nodded meekly before taking a deep breath to calm her nerves.

"Of course." Alain nodded as he and Weiss followed after Winter, their arms interlocked with each other. Alain did not mind everything and everywhere around him. Escorting a girl as beautiful as Weiss is worth it in his book. Add in the fact that she is developing a small crush on him only gave him more than enough of a motivation to give her the push she needs to truly fall for him.

'And there is also Winter.' Alain held back a grin as he inconspicuously took a look at Winter's well-developed ass. 'As Tychus would say, she thicc...' He blinked as he chuckled, catching Weiss's attention. "What's wrong?" He shook his head with a playful smile. "Nothing, it's just that I realized that I am meeting up with your sister who is also a part of the military." Weiss nodded with an understanding smile. "Trust me, even if she is a part of the military here in Atlas, she is a good person."

"I'll trust your word on it."

After a few more seconds of walking, they came across a lone table with a few chairs around it. Winter took a seat as she watched the both of them.

Taking this chance, Alain went ahead and pulled on a chair before turning to Weiss. "Thank you, Alain." She smiled as she sat on the chair.

Winter was observing the interaction with a small smile, keeping her attention mostly on Alain. 'Weiss got quite the catch.' She silently hummed in approval. From what she saw from a security tape, he took down a group of kidnappers with no effort, and thanks to said action, Weiss was able to sing her piece in the so-called competition.

There is also the fact that Alain has a Semblance that is the same as the Witch of Beacon, Glynda Goodwitch.

But unlike Glynda, Winter can tell that Alain has also trained his body well. Try as he may to hide it, he cannot hide it from her.

The way he moved and talked in that video, he was confident in his abilities. The strength of his punch looks as average as it seems, but it was how the punch moved, it moved fast. There was also the fact that he managed to disassemble many guns at once. Semblance or not, it would take a lot of time to be able to quickly disassemble even a single pistol.

She could easily come up with a conclusion from what she observed.

Alain Kerrigan is a Huntsman-in-training and a very strong one at that.

She mentally hid a smirk from the two teenagers. 'Strong and as well as a gentleman, Weiss really got lucky this time.' She wasn't looking for a boyfriend, but that doesn't mean finding one hasn't crossed her mind. It does from time to time, but she has her duties as a Specialist.

"So, how was it?" It was a vague question, but Weiss is close to her that she knows what she is talking about. "It went smoothly after Alain's intervention. It is thanks to him that the competition went on as planned." She smiled as she turned towards Alain.

Time to see if she can give Alain a hundred percent of her approval.

"Thank you for protecting my sister. I hope she hasn't been anything but good to you." He just chuckled as he held on to Weiss's shoulder with a smile causing her to blush a small bit at his touch. "It's nothing, can't let anyone get hurt, Weiss especially."

'Oh?' Winter hid her teasing smirk with her hands as she glanced at Weiss's face that is almost as red as a tomato. Turning her attention back to Alain, Winter decided to prod why exactly did he say that.

"Why Weiss specifically?"

"Well there's a fact is that she is not only the Heiress of the Schnee Dust Company, but she is also very beautiful." Weiss let out a quiet gasp as she turned to Alain, her cheeks turning a darker shade of red. "I couldn't just stand by and let a bunch of thugs do anything they want. Especially with how some of them looked rather unstable..." He made sure to keep the more...unsavory words from leaving his mouth.

After all, having a beautiful girl like Weiss about to be kidnapped is worrying enough. Even worse if those kidnappers happened to be rapists.

Best to make sure both sisters don't get uncomfortable. That's a big no-no. It also helps that his powers allow him to be able to read what's going on in both their minds.

In Winter's case.

'At first, he may seem like someone who is trying to find a way to get some connections to the company using Weiss, but it looks like he genuinely cares for her...but I guess I'll still keep an eye on him.'

Alain made sure to keep himself from smirking.

Sure, it may seem like he is trying to get an in in the company. But she is overthinking it. The SDC will be a powerful ally to anyone, but that doesn't mean he needs to find a way into the company itself.

Why does he need to when he can just easily convince the big head, Jacques?

The beauty of Psionic powers.

Now for Weiss.

'He called me beautiful...is it a sign? Is this the part when he tells me he loves me? No! Those are only found in stories! Besides, I only just met him! Ah! He's looking at me! Don't look at me like you didn't call me beautiful, you idiot!'

Cute. Weiss is beautiful and graceful on the outside, but in the inside, she is a cute girl. Why cute? Well, she is a girl who has yet to experience having a crush on someone.

And for some reason, Weiss calling him an idiot makes it sound cute in his head.

In fact, Weiss is acting really cute right now.

The way she looks away and is attempting to drown out their conversation by keeping her mind occupied is just so adorable that he can't ignore it.

"Are you okay, Weiss?"

She jumped a bit as she turned to him, her blush dying down a fair bit.

"M-Me? Of course, I am!" She replied quickly, flustered. Winter just chuckled silently as she watched the two of them.

He gave her a gentle smile as he nodded. "Well if that's the case, hope you can sing for me later." He joked, getting a raised brow from Winter as Weiss just nodded silently.

2 hours later

It has been two hours since Alain arrived with Weiss, and even if he was on a job right now, he couldn't deny that he enjoyed his time with the two sisters. While all they did was chat and eat on the same table, it didn't change the fact that it was quite fun.

But even with all that, it doesn't change the fact that he has a job to do.

Closing his eyes in concentration, Alain focused on his sense of hearing. Attempting on eavesdropping on a certain someone.

While there are a lot of people around him who are also talking, all he needs to do is concentrate on that one person.

Will Triston.

"Excuse me gentlemen, but I must excuse myself for a bit."

Opening his eyes, Alain nodded to himself as he stood up, catching both Winter and Weiss's attention. "What is it, Alain?" He just shook his head at Weiss. "It's nothing, I just want to stretch my legs for a bit." Winter nodded in approval as she looked at her sister. "Okay then, but don't go off too far, okay?" Weiss said while he just gave her a firm nod as he turned and began walking in a random direction.

Turning her full attention towards her sister, Winter smirked.

It's time to hear what Weiss has to say about him and why it seems like she wanted him to stay with them.

Hallway

'To think that my plans were foiled by a single damn brat! Now I'll have to find another way to kidnap her! Damn it!' Will Triston thought to himself as he looked at himself in a mirror, rage evident on his face as he gritted his teeth before shaking his head a few seconds later.

"Can't go back now. I got this far, I'll have to hire more capable men next time." He said to himself as he sighed and took out a handkerchief and wiped his hands with it.

'Still doesn't change the fact that I lost a ton of money, and that idiot said that he was a pro at it too...' He thought sourly as he clicked his tongue.

CLICK!

His eyes widened as he heard the door behind him click, indicating that it was now unlocked before being opened.

His eyes widened in fear as it was revealed that the one who opened the door is the man who ruined his plans. The one who took on the men he hired with no effort using his Semblance. The one who is giving him a confident smirk like a parent who caught their kid with the cookie jar in their hand.

It's Alain Kerrigan.

'S-Shit...did he hea-'

"Did I hear what you said?"

His eyes widened in fear as Alain's eyes glowed a terrifying orange.

"Y-You heard!" He exclaimed as he attempted to take a step back before realizing that he was actually backed against the table.

'What are my guards do-" His eyes widened as he saw a pair of bodies lying down on the floor.

'H-He killed them...'

"Wh-What do you want?" He asked fearfully before Alain chuckled as his eyes suddenly went from bright orange to a dark hue, causing it to make him more look sinister.

"Roman Torchwick sends his regards."

And with that single statement, his heart froze as his mind went back to when he made a deal with Roman Torchwick before running off with the prized item.

"No...no please..." He begged before Alain started to approach him, with the same smirk on his face.

10 minutes later

Looking at the starry night above his head, Alain took a deep breath as he smiled softly. 'Now I just need to wait until midnight.' He thought before closing his eyes.

Right now, after finishing the final touches to finishing his job, he is just at the back of the mansion. All around him are flowers and hedges. There are even a few statues of bushes of a few people.

'After this, the job is finished...could have done it better though.' He frowned a bit.

It wasn't an easy job, but it wasn't hard either.

After all, it took him a few days to accomplish it.

CLICK! CLICK! CLICK!

Opening his eyes to the sound of heels clicking, he turned to his right and saw Weiss, approaching him. "So this is where you were. I was looking for you." She huffed as she crossed her arms over her chest. "Oh? Why so?"

"The dance has already started back inside..." She blushed as she looked to the side. "And everyone is finding and dancing with their partners...so I wonder if we could...?" She looked at him with her bright blue eyes all the while her snow-white hair danced with the wind.

"You want me to dance with you?" He chuckled as he approached her gently.

She nodded meekly.

"But why not dance with me here?" She blinked a few times before looking at him like he grew a second head. "But there's no music here." She pointed out, causing Alain to nod with a smile as he gently took her right hand with his left, before pulling her closer to him by putting his right hand behind her back.

Her eyes widened as she suppressed her yelp from coming out from her lips.

"Who needs music to dance?" He gave her a wink before she meekly placed her left hand above his right shoulder.

He nodded as he led her to the right before using his toes to go up slightly.

Then to the left.

Then to the right.

Again, and again.

Waltz is such a simple dance that requires the male partner to lead his partner to a series of repeated movements. To Alain it was completely unnecessary, but who is he to reject his sister's lessons? In fact, how did his sister find the time to learn about waltz? He will never know.

"You're really good." Alain nodded with a smile, clearly proud. "Of course, my sister taught me the best." He puffed his chest out with pride. Weiss giggled slightly as she looked at him affectionately.

A few seconds of silence enveloped them as Alain silently spun Weiss around him before closing into her back as he wrapped his right arm around her. Her eyes widened as her face blushed red for the umpteenth time.

"You know, you have soft skin." He whispered directly to her ear, causing her to flinch slightly before looking at him, embarrassed.

"O-Of course I have! As the heiress of the Company, I have an image to maintain." She said it so proudly, but Alain knows, she is trying to hide the blushing girl behind that face.

Alain mentally smirked. 'So cute, makes me want to take your lips right now.' He thought to himself as he closed his eyes as he slowly but gently tightened his grip on her right hand. "True, but even more than that, I don't see an heiress." She lightly glared at him before her breath hitched as he gently let go of her before looking at her deep into her eyes, all the while leaning forwards, their nose almost touching.

"I see an attractive girl with beautiful blue eyes and snow-white hair, the fact that your name fits you is another proof that I see a girl who has her own charm." With each word, it causes her heart to flutter, she felt her stomach twist out of nervousness. She tried to look away, but he gently lifted her chin so that he can look at her in the eyes.

'Now for the finishing touch.'

"I also can't help but want to protect you from harm." He finished as he gave her a smile before letting go of her chin. He took a few steps back and did a bow with a hand over his chest. "Thank you for the dance, hope that we meet again in the future."

Then he left, leaving Weiss Schnee, a blushing mess alone in the garden.

"Idiot..."

After getting away from her, Alain took a deep breath as he focused on his powers before diving into Weiss's mind.

'Idiot...don't compliment me and leave after...'

He smirked.

Girls who wish to find friendship with others are quite easy to manipulate. That is why it is quite easy to tease them and leave them wanting some more. Sooner or later, she'll personally seek him out.

But at least she'll gain a friend in the form of him. After all, he also needs to find friends too.

The things he'll do at the words of his sister.

12 midnight

The party went off without a problem, or at least that is what would many would normally say. To one man, to Will Triston, it is a complete disaster. He had already lost plenty of money by hiring people to kidnap Weiss Schnee, but having enough food and drinks, the entertainment, everything in the party cost him quite a fortune.

He sighed as he finished writing on a piece of paper. Behind him is a tall and well-built man wearing a black suit, standing straight.

Will nodded as the man approached him before reaching for a knife and with one swift move, sliced his neck open.

The man's gurgled cries of pain were silent as he fell back on his chair, his eyes, which was somehow glowing slightly, were wide as his killer looked down at him before leaving him.

"Ack...he...lp..." Those were the man's last words as the light in his eyes faded.

And on the paper, despite it being partly red thanks to his blood, were written a single phrase.

Roman Torchwick sends his regards.

With Alain

Leaning on a deserted alleyway, he opened his eyes as he turned to a tall figure, all alone and with two briefcases in hand.

He smirked as he watched the man approach him.

If one were to take a closer look at the tall man, one can notice that his eyes look dull.

"Did you follow my instructions?" The man just nodded dumbly causing his smirk to widen. "Good, leave the briefcase, go back to Willy's mansion, and kill yourself." The man did as he said as he dropped the briefcases unceremoniously to the ground before turning and leaving.

Alain frowned as he looked at the briefcases.

"Should have said to drop the briefcases gently." He muttered in irritation as he took the briefcases and left the alley.

'Well whatever, I got the cash.' He thought to himself as he made his way back to his temporary home.

Next day

KNOCK KNOCK!

Alain turned to the door from his chair as he sighed, closed the book he was reading, and approached the door.

"Coming!" He announced just loud enough as he got to the door and opened it, revealing the butler that accompanied him and Weiss last night.

"Klein?" The portly man nodded with a smile. "Yes, Mr. Kerrigan, I am quite surprised that you remember me from last night." He just shook his head with a lighthearted smile. "I always make sure to at least remember someone from their face. Besides, you drove the car for us and Weiss last night."

"Then I am glad that you remember me. Oh! Dear me, I almost forgot. Master Jacques requests your presence." Alain blinked for a few seconds before slowly nodding his head. "Okay? Lead the way then." Klein bowed his head for a moment before leading Alain away from the hallway of the hotel.

Closing his door and locking it, Alain narrowed his eyes as he bit his lower lip.

'Did they find out?'

Schnee Manor

Silence.

Klein and Alain didn't say a single word the moment they went inside the same car he got in last night. It was nerve-wracking for Alain to say the least. Especially since there is the possibility of having been found out for what happened.

"We have arrived, Mr. Kerrigan." Alain nodded as he opened the car door and left the car. The portly man smiled jovially at him as he nudged his head towards the front door. "Come now, Master Jacques is waiting for you in his office."

He nodded numbly as he followed after Klein.

Everything was silent as he began to form plans inside his mind.

'If they find out, what should I do? Should I kill him? No, that's too risky. I can't risk having my cover blown. Should I make a run for it? No, that would make me suspicious and I'll give myself away. Should I mind control him? But I don't know what will happen after, can't risk it. Wh-'

"We are here Mr. Kerrigan. Please do make yourself presentable." He was brought out of his thoughts as Klein turned to him.

"Right." He muttered out as he took a deep breath and maintained a poker face. The butler nodded before opening the double doors, at the center was Jacques staring at him seriously. His desk was well maintained with a few papers and documents lying about.

"Take a seat, Alain Kerrigan." He did so as he swallowed his spit. "Do you know why I asked for your presence here in my office?" He shook his head a no. "No sir." The man nodded as he reached for a Scroll and viewed its contents once he opened it.

"You see, I have just received news that Will Triston, the host of yesterday's events had died."

'I knew it.' Alain thought as his eyes began to glow orange, his body tensing, and his grip on the chair's handles starting to tighten.

"And it has come to my attention that you have quite the combat experience."

"Is that so?"

"Yes, not only did I watch you apprehend those mongrels from kidnapping my daughter, but you also managed to keep them long enough for the security to take them into custody. Those skills of yours, I need them."

Alain blinked as he looked at the man in confusion.

"Sir?"

"My daughter, Weiss, has been targeted during the competition, and if it were not for you, then the kidnappers would have likely done so successfully. Now, Will Triston has died just after the event happened. So, I have come to a conclusion." The man smiled proudly as he looked at Alain in the eyes.

"I would like to hire you as a bodyguard."

"A-A bodyguard?" Jacques nodded. "Yes, a bodyguard for Weiss to be specific." Alain's eyes widened, catching the attention of Jacques. "Of course, I do this because she is my heiress. I already have plans to have a small part of the Atlas military to guard me, but my daughter is at risk. Most likely, they will target her again. To counter that, I wish to hire you. All you have to do is to name your price."

Alain blinked as he took a relaxing breath. 'So, all this time, while I was trying to think of ways to get out of this alive and keeping myself anonymous, all he wants to do is hire me? If I decline, that would only make me a bit suspicious, only a little bit, but suspicious the same. Guess I have no choice...'

"Fine, I'll do it. But I can only stay for two weeks." That caused Jacques to raise a brow. "Two weeks? May I ask why?"

"I need to prepare for Beacon." His answer was quick and curt, this caused the man to sigh. "Alright, but since you are only staying for two weeks, you will receive twenty thousand lien. I'll have my secretary send the money to you personally." This caused Alain to mentally smirk. 'So he's giving me that much money, he's thinking that I'm the greedy type, how...amusing.'

"And in order for you to do your job more efficiently, I need you to stay here during the duration of your job."

Deciding to bow his head, for now, Alain nodded.

"Yes sir."

Back in the hotel

After being hired by Jacques Schnee, he was sent back to the hotel so that he can move his things.

While packing, he sent a message to Junior about his situation. His things are minimal, to say the least and he would have packed it a lot faster if his Scroll didn't ring in his pocket.

Grabbing it from his pocket, he opened it and narrowed his eyes as he saw an unknown number.

Deciding to pick it up, Alain brought it to his left ear.

Big mistake.

"SO YOU GOT HIRED BY THE SCHNEE DUST COMPANY?!" He hissed in pain as he quickly pulled his Scroll away from his ringing ear. After a while, and hearing the voice in the Scroll ramble on and on, Alain finally has enough of it. "Roman, what the hell are you doing calling me, and how did you get my number?"

"Does it matter? What matters is that you got the jackpot! Do you know how rich the Schnees are? They're fucking LOADED!" Roman ignored his question entirely. Something that caused Alain to grit his teeth in annoyance.

"And what do you want, Roman?" He said in annoyance as he continued to pack his things.

"Nothing, I just want to say from one thief to another, take the chance. Others rarely get the chance to get close to the damn company as it is."

He frowned, who does he think he is? Of course, he's gonna go for it! The amount of money he could steal from the company would help him out in the long run.

"I'll think about it." But there's no need for others to know that he will do it, that would just attract too much attention.

"Besides, I don't think I'll be able to snag some lien that easily from the SDC. There is also the fact that I can only play as a bodyguard for two weeks." He said as he took a look at the two briefcases full of money, the two things he can't afford to bring with him.

"That's good enough. Now about the cash you got." Alain smirked as he patted a briefcase loud enough for Roman to hear through the Scroll, this got a laugh of approval from him. "I got it right here. The only problem is I can't bring it with me to the Manor. Once someone sees what's inside, it's over for me. It'll be suspicious if I get caught with this much money on me, I could get in trouble if they find out that Willy's cash is missing. So, you'll either have to send someone over or I'll have to hide it." Of course, he can just erase the memory from their minds, but does Roman need to know that? No, of course not.

After a few seconds, Roman hummed to himself.

"Good thinking, Jacques is quite greedy and I think he's smart enough to realize what's inside the damn case once he sees it. I swear that man is a bloodhound, except with money and opportunities." A few seconds of silence. "I'll send Neo over, until then keep those cases to yourself."

"Got it. Tell me when she lands so that I can meet up with her immediately."

Pocketing his scroll with a sigh, Alain took a look at the cases with a small frown. "I don't want to deal with hiding these." He said to himself lazily as he racked his brain with various plans.

A couple of minutes has passed.

Until...

"Oh yeah, there's that cute girl downstairs..." He blinked for a couple of seconds before a wide smirk made its way to his face.

Looks like this just got a whole lot easier.

AND DONE! Now I know that Weiss getting lovey-dovey with Alain just after they met seems kinda off, but come on! She's a tsundere!

...

Well at least that's what I think, but please do keep in mind that what Weiss has for Alain right now is just a crush...there is also the fact that Alain is flirting with Weiss every so often, so there's that. And you also have to understand that Alain can literally READ what's going on in their MINDS, so in a way, he is cheating when it comes to flirting.

Now remember, Alain is a playboy thanks to his past. He has two sides, the caring and cute little brother of Sarah Kerrigan, and the other is a cocky playboy of a strategist who does what he thinks is necessary, even if it was to kill or steal.

Also, with Alain becoming the bodyguard of Weiss, what do you guys will think would happen?

And what's with the innocent bystander that is the clerk from last chapter being involved in Alain's plan?

Look forward to it in the next chapter!

Ciao! Peace!
