"Yoshi, you seem nervous. If I'm going to guide that little note back into your melody, I need you to relax!"
Joshua tensed up, and his breathing became labored "I'm trying, Snark-chan...but something is wrong with Shibuya. My city is angry. She is frightened. No...she worries like Neku woprries about the Challenge. Shibuya doesn't want Uzuki to win."
The angel frowned at him and smacked him lightly over the head "Rhyme Bito would be jealous of your relationship with your district, Yoshi. I definetly would be."
"My relationship with Shibuya is symbiotic. Raimu has zero compotition. I'd say she had you, but we both know that ship has sailed. We will ever be Partners, but I was violated, and you ascended beyond the need for such...base emotional bonds."
Haineko snorted "Prissy Bastard. I see your tact has not improved over time. You're lucky I'm not easily insulted or hurt by mere words. Besides, you're wrong about one thing. I do still have feelings for you."
"As do I for you, Haineko." Joshua murmured "But even a love novice such as myself knows from observation that having two soul mates is neither safe nor smart. I'm sorry, but...I cannot abandon Raimu. Especially not after she gave me back what Apollo stole from me."
"I understand, Casanova you." The angel said flippantly "But she is but a mere mortal, and I've been waiting decades for you. I can wait a bit longer. Now, relax, or I'll imprint you so hard it'll knock your ass out!"
The Composer sighed and tried to relax, sinking into the couch and trying to enter his Concert Hall so he could sooth the district he so cherished. Unfortunately, Shibuya was not the first Song he ran into on the way.
Haineko sighed and stopped her work as her patient suddenly gasped for air. "Looks like you brushed swords with your challenger, eh Yoshi." She muttered as she continued despite the ash-blond's turmoil.
Inside the Composer's Receptionist area, there was quite the commotion taking place.
"Uzuki...such noise your Music is making! I never thought you harbored such hatred. Something tells me this is for more than just not promoting you..."
"You THINK?! You haven't the guts to face me in person, you send the Spicey Tuna Roll to fight your battles for you! Well fine, but when I;'m done ripping your little pet's throat out, I'm coming for you...Yoshiya Kiryu! Yes, I know that name...how could I forget it? YOU LEFT ME AT HACHIKO YOU ASS! "
Joshua's music fluxuated, "I assure you, my dear Officer, I have no idea what you're talking about. You were teamed up with Kariya before I died. I'm certain I would have remembered such an abrasive personality, not to mention such fabulous taste in fashion, had I truly known you in life."
This both flattered and enraged the hotheaded, vile tempered Uzuki, and her Song sputtered and changed before deciding to explode.
"Your memory must have been warped, Kiryu. Bevause I remember very clearly that you DUMPED MY ASS right when I was getting comfy with having the city freak as my boyfriend!"
"City...ah perhaps you did know me then. I'm very sorry, Uzuki, but I have no memory of you. Could it have been an entry fee? But that would mean I lost, and I certainly wouldn't have become Composer if that were the case. Unless..." His purple eyes widened "My second Game...I chose to forego my fee. It was something I decided to abandon, as it had no place in my new life. Could my regret for leaving you, and thus the memnory of ever seeing you, have been it?"
"I don't care!" Uzuki raged, her Music lashing out at him like a whip, which he effortlessly batted away, "Your time is done, Yoshiya! It's time I get the ultimate promotion!"
He giggled at her intence hatred "Patience, my Officer. You'll get your chance. Neku is my Proxy, and as such it is within my rights to send him in my place. But do wait a little, and stop harrassiing my Gate Reapers before they tire of your noise and descend. Out with you! Shibuya is calling and I am late for my recital!"
"I am going to shred that little porcupine into strips and feed them to the Noise! He better be ready to face erasure, Composer, because I will show him no mercy!"
She left the area, and Joshua sighed, shaking his head. He entered the Concert Hall, anmd then was lost to the rest of reality as the symphony of the city he cherished washed over him.
"Neku will be fine. But now, my dear, dear Shibuya...I must tend to you."
