Timon was curled up on Pumbaa, who was lying on his back, while mumbling. "Grubs, grubs."
While they were snoring, Nala tapped Timon with her paw, saying. "Hey. Hey, wake up."
Timon did, but upon seeing her face in a view, he let out a bloodcurdling scream.
"AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!"
That woke Pumbaa up and he started to scream in panic too.
"It's OK. It's...whoa, whoa! It's OK. It's me." assured Nala.
Having been scared enough, Timon said. "Don't ever do that again! Carnivores, oy!"
"Have you guys seen Simba?" asked Nala.
"I thought he was with you." said Timon.
"He was, but now I can't find him. Where is he?"
"Oh, I don't think you'll find him here." said Darwin as he and I walked up to them.
"Wait." said Nala. "You mean he's..."
I nodded my head, saying. "Mm-hmm, he's gone back."
"Gone back?" repeated Timon. "What do you mean he's gone back?"
"Simba's gone back to challenge Scar." explained Nala.
"Who?"
"Scar!"
"Who's got a scar?" asked Pumbaa.
Nala shook her head. "No, no, no. It's his uncle."
"The monkey's his uncle?" Timon asked, pointing at Darwin, who asked back. "I beg your pardon?"
"No!" Nala said, already annoyed. "Simba's gone back to challenge his uncle to take his place as king."
Finally got it understood, Timon and Pumbaa said. "Ohhh."
Simba charged full speed across the desert, not stopping until he came across...the desolated Pride Lands.
Upon reaching the lip of a cliff, Simba looked out over his former home. Mostly lacking in life, it was painted in grays.
As Simba stared with determination and fury, a voice called out.
"Simba!"
To his surprise, he turned to see that the voice belonged to...
"Nala?"
...who trotted up next to him on the ledge, asking. "It's awful, isn't it?"
"I didn't want to believe you." said Simba as he looked at the devastation of the Pride Lands.
"What made you come back?" asked Nala.
"I finally got some sense knocked into me. And I've got the bump to prove it." explained Simba. "Besides, this is my kingdom. If I don't fight for it, who will?"
"I will." said Nala.
"It's gonna be dangerous." said Simba.
"That's nothing."
At my voice, Simba turned to see me, Darwin, Timon and Pumbaa walking up to him.
"I faced one danger after another all the time." I said.
"She really does." added Darwin.
Suddenly, just as before, the ground begins to crumble under Pumbaa's feet.
"Hey, hey, hey. Move your tush, honey!" called a voice.
Pumbaa backed up, as two familiar meerkats popped out of the newly opened hole.
"Ma? Uncle Max?" Timon said with surprise.
"Oh, Timmy!" exclaimed Ma.
I couldn't help but giggle at her calling Timon...
"Timmy?"
"What are you doin' here?" asked Timon as he hopped off of Pumbaa.
"Looking for you!" explained Ma as she hugged her son. "Aww. Mommy's here."
As much as I liked to see this tender moment, I had to break it up by clearing my throat and motion towards the Pride Lands, which Timon saw, asking. "Uh. We're going to fight your uncle...for this?"
"Yes, Timon." replied Simba. "This is my home."
"Oh. Talk about your fixer-upper." said Timon. "Well, Simba, if it's important to you, we're with ya to the end."
"We all are." I added.
Simba smiled appreciatively, while Uncle Max said. "I've said it before that you're beyond nuts. But now...you are WAY BEYOND NUTS!"
Once we snuck up to the edge of Pride Rock, I looked through my binoculars from behind a log, saying. "They must've doubled security since we left."
"With what?" asked Ma, whom I gave the binoculars to so she can see that Pride Rock was heavily guarded by...
"Hyenas." groaned Timon. "I hate hyenas."
"That makes three of us." said Darwin.
"So what's your plan for gettin' past those guys?" Timon whispered to me.
"Live bait."
"Good idea. Hey!"
"Eliza's right, Timon." whispered Simba. "You guys have to create a diversion."
"What do you want us to do?" asked Uncle Max. "Dress in drag and do the hula?"
That was exactly what they did.
At the sound of a drum, the hyenas turned to see Timon, Ma, and Uncle Max in hula outfits, Darwin playing some Hawaiian music on a makeshift ukulele while wearing a hat, and Pumbaa all set like a roasted pig with an apple in his mouth.
Timon: Luau!
If you're hungry for a hunk of fat and juicy meat
Eat my buddy Pumbaa here because he is a treat
Come on down and dine
On this tasty swine
All you have to do is get in line
Ma: Aaaare you achin'
Pumbaa: Yup, yup, yup
Darwin: Foooor some bacon?
Pumbaa: Yup, yup, yup
Uncle Max: Heeee's a big pig
Pumbaa: Yup, yup
Timon: You could be a big pig too.
Timon, Ma, Uncle Max and Darwin: Oy!
Seeing the hyenas coming up to them hungrily, they took off, screaming for their lives.
