HERE WE GO AGAIN.

So... yeah enjoy and review me, if you feel like it, I guess.

Running from the authorities is harder than one might think, keeping yourself hidden from view and moving around takes way more time too, so when I reached District 19 again two days had already passed.

In other words, it's very goddamn hard.

But now that I'm here I can find one of the locations, I quickly pulled out my laptop and looked at the map there was one apparently under a park fountain... the one where I fought O'hearn, well that's just a kick to the balls.

I looked down from the rooftop I was staying, same clothes that I wore since this shitstorm started well that's the lowest of my priorities right now... it should take me an hour to reach the park if I try to stay low, which I should bother less with since this District is the more 'wild' of them all.

At the same time, whoever is trapped must be waiting for something to happen.

I sighed and put the laptop back in my backpack, I'll make it in ten minutes then.

Taking a running start I ran and jumped off the building making it further up with the help of a burst of wind at my feet, right before I fell down on the nest rooftop I would slow my fall with the same principle.

It took little time to reach said park again, still empty as ever too.

The fountain has to be in the middle of it so It shouldn't take long to find, I walked forwards with my Sky Eye in its full range just in case there are any guards... nothing for now.

Ah there it is, it's just your average fountain, well it looks like one but the map said otherwise, there has to be a manual mechanism to open it I hardly doubt they would want an electrokinetic to feel the electricity of a scanner or something like that.

The lion statue had only two places that seemed to be able to put one on the jaw and the tail... time to give it a try.

I first went back and pulled the tail and nothing happened, then to the mouth and it went down with a click I took a couple of steps back and saw the lion rise up under It was an entrance with stairs on it.

Well now my feet are wet but this is worth it, I walked down the stairs for about a minute I heard something behind me, that may be a problem when I reached the end of it I saw a big pair of metal doors in front of me.

I'm not sure how thick it is but maybe if I pull everything in on blow... "if there is anyone on the other side, stay back!" I called out.

Then I started concentrating on my hands, constantly pulling air together in a sphere the size of a beach ball, with enough pressure applied to it... I should be able to at least bend the doors enough to squeeze through a gap.

When I threw the attack I'm not sure what I was expecting, the doors did bend backwards enough to enter albeit just barely but the smell that hit my nose was a good indicator that something went horribly.

Just from the gap, I could see various bodies, some with bones bent the wrong way slash marks here and there, pretty sure I saw bite marks too... it was more like animals fighting rather than humans.

Then again when push comes to shove, Humans ARE animals.

I looked at my legs and saw that I was shaking... I chuckled nervously at that, so much for trying to play the hero.

Taking a deep breath I entered through the gap and clenched my teeth hard to try and force back my need to vomit at the sight, but I could see someone at the middle of it all staring at the ceiling as if waiting for God to give her a sign that this was all just a lie.

I stopped dead on my track and felt as if someone poured ice on my back, I recognize that girl...

"Saten?" she looked down and stared at me as if I was just a lie, like when you see the unbelievable happen in front of you but still deny it.

We stared for a while longer then she took one step back, her eyes still on me like I was some kind of ghost.

"Hey, calm down..." the words felt awkward in my mouth this was alien territory for me, I had never really deal with this kind of situation since it was just me and my family.

Caring for others was easy, actually helping them was a completely different thing.

Saten took a step back... wait no she was leaning forward- then with speed she shouldn't have jumped at me like a wolf that was starving for days, I dived to the left and ignored the sound of my feet walking on flesh and blood.

I believed she would need a moment to stop her momentum but when her feet touched the ground said force seemed to disappear, she spun on her heels and her body was low.

Calling her a wolf was more on point than I thought, she looked scared yes but her eyes held visible insanity there... she must think I'm part of the Gu and is just going by her survival instincts to fight me.

Her stance was aggressive too, right foot back and left foot forwards her knees are bent so that she would have the lower ground at all times, arms slightly spread at her sides at chest level and her hands were slightly open obviously ready to turn into fists at any moment.

The word 'animalistic' came to mind when I looked at her "I'm telling you, that I'm no-" she pounced at me from below, calling it what she threw an uppercut would be wrong, at least to me it appeared like a beast trying to bite of my jugular.

I took a step back and my eyes widened when whatever force behind her swing was gone and was rapidly throwing a left punch at my chest, I jumped back with a gust of wind to help me go back.

It wasn't enough, the punch 'landed' even if her fist barely impacted the worse you would get from that is bruised skin but to me, I could feel something trying to crack, probably a rib? I'm not a doctor so I wouldn't know, I lurched forward in pain but still kept my eye on her.

She looked even more predatory now like she had me right where she wanted... I took one step back hit a solid wall of steel.

I didn't even have to be surprised, she took the opportunity and sprang forward right fist raised high I jumped over her with a strong gust of wind and looked at the cracked and bent wall she just punched.

This is not normal, if I had to guess for everything I have seen she must have the ability to manipulate kinetic energy it would make all the feats she just did all the more logical, but kinetic energy just doesn't disappear every time she throws a punch she somehow stops the force in it by sending the Kinetic energy somewhere.

But from my high point of view, I could take a good look at the room... as hard as it was to see all the bodies and limbs, I could see cracks on the ground, and all of them had on the middle a foot imprint.

So that's what she is doing, throwing all kinetic energy to the ground she can stop her movements whenever she pleases and if my hunch is right then trying to knock her out with blunt force is out of the question.

Asfixiation? I'm not sure that the control of my power is good enough to do that and if I can I'm not sure if it would kill her if I do it, maybe a chokehold? but the strength she is displaying would make her capable of using her ability to crush my arms when I'm holding her.

When I fell I looked one more time at the cracks on the ground, an Idea was formed... hopefully, I get the timing right.

I lowered my body and prepared myself to charge the moment she did, which she did the moment she turned away from the wall I charged right back and saw her right fist was raised and ready to end me right then and there, in normal circumstances I wouldn't have been able to stop my charge and would have been hit.

Luckily I wasn't normal anymore, a strong jet of air appeared on my chest and pushed me back my legs screamed in protest, and felt something tear from the sudden movement but powered through the pain I saw her eyes land on me and threw a fist.

At the same time, I threw a powerful gust of wind through my feet making her raise slightly in the air along with various things that I ignored for my own good, her eyes widened and I stoped my punch right before hitting her but I did throw a moderate wind canon at her.

It seemed to do nothing but push her back on the air but her eyes were wide with fear, she had nowhere to transfer the kinetic energy she accumulated, that attack was only to make sure she wouldn't be able to transfer that kinetic energy to me.

In the air I saw her spasm and spit some blood, then she fell to the ground unceremoniously, I fell back and gripped my right leg in pain.

I think I ripped a muscle, I looked at her and saw her chest rise and fall a little making me sigh in relief...

That was really stressful.

Carrying someone with a damaged leg is one painful experience, Saten was on my back while I was putting all of my weight on my left leg at this point I was dragging my right leg along the ground.

There was also the growing pain that I was feeling in my chest which is not helping me at all, my backpack was now on my chest so I could carry Saten with less problems.

I was also trying my best to not let many people see me even if from time to time I got weird looks thrown my way but that was just unavoidable in my current condition.

Looking around I saw that an empty alleyway at my left, I glanced at my shaky right leg and accepted the fact that I need a damn break before I collapse, when I entered the first thing I did was pull Saten down next to a wall in a gentle manner then fall on my back and start taking deep breaths.

What the hell do I do now? anywhere I go would not be ideal I'm not sure if the hospitals are even safe for me or her... this is a pretty bad situation, maybe a little shut-eye wouldn't-

NO, to drop my guard for even a moment would be suicidal and if Saten wakes up there is no guarantee that she would be in a right state of mind anyway.

...!?

I quickly looked at my left were a familiar shape took place, wearing a green and white hoody was Shirai staring at me with a... complicated expression on her face, she glanced at Saten with a pitying expression on her face then back at me.

...

"You look like a mess" she commented and I raised an annoyed eyebrow, I would have made a rude comment but I could see she was trying hard to keep herself calm.

She must have read the flash drive "not my finest moment" I replied with a tired voice.

She snorted and walked up to me and offered her hand "I have a lot of questions, you should have answers right?" there was that fear that she tried to keep away but it was hard for someone so young to know how to do that.

"some, I won't say that I'm aware of everything... but I know of some people that may" the other survivors for example, and whoever the hell 'Dr. R' is.

She nodded "now to take you two to somewhere safe" I took her hand and she helped me lean into her shoulder helping me with my injured leg, she is in pretty good shape.

We walked to Saten and touched her "we are using constant Teleportation for this, hopefully you don't mind" I don't think that is very important right now.

"How did you find me?" I asked before she could start teleporting.

She looked up at me "I have a friend that said someone she knew disappeared a while ago, tried to look into it but it appeared like she was still around... I stopped her before she could report it though, for better or for worse she knows too" well that's not good.

"doesn't really answer my question" I said and Shirai laughed, it was a bitter laugh.

"She had been hacking cameras all day, it was pure luck she found you" that has many implications both good and bad.

And at that moment, I found out that Teleporting can make you dizzy.

I stared at my leg while sitting on the ground now with an ice pack, the pain was slowly leaving... my chest isn't hurting a lot anymore so maybe it wasn't that bad, Shirai was seating at my right trying to catch her breath and holding her head in pain.

But most of my attention was on Saten that was laying on the bed still out cold and the new girl sitting far at the left on a chair and a desk while constantly typing on a laptop, since we arrived here she has yet to say anything aside from a 'hi' to Shirai.

I managed to get a look at her face... it wasn't pretty, she was busy with something, and when she is done with whatever she is this whole thing would go bad for me.

That's when I stopped hearing the sound of her keyboard being used she walked up to Saten's Bed and just kinda... fell apart, she leaned on her and started crying, and while I couldn't get everything she said most of it was about her worried and her relief at seeing her okay.

I glanced at Shirai who just showed guilt on her face, my best decision would be to stay silent "what happened to her?" that was the first clear words I heard since I came here, the girl with the flower crown gave me this desperate look from her position.

"she only got into a scuffle with some ruffians" Shirai said quickly, too quickly.

The girl stared at her friend nothing but sadness and disappointment filled her eyes "why are you lying to me?" I feel horribly out of place in this situation, she looked at me again and waited for a response.

I glanced at Shirai again who just avoided looking at anyone "Gu, you could call it a deathmatch with a great number of insects put into one enclosed space... just change insects for people" I said while staing at her, if I looked away it would be just another thing to add to a long list of failures.

She stoped and just stared at me "why?" that...

"I don't know"

"there has to be a reason right?"

"maybe"

"it just wasn't for nothing?"

"probably"

"it should be worth it?"

"..."

"she isn't like this just because of a random reason... right?"

I never took a closer look at Saten until we were in a safe area, she had bite marks all around her some bruises here and there and a large gash on her back... the girl in front of me did what she could but she was no doctor.

The pain of seeing someone you care about hurt just because...

It takes me back

A woman simply doing her job.

A man desperate because of an addiction.

A family ruined

I took a deep breath and sighed, that was my first time into the 'real' world, I prefer to call it the 'true man's world'... to never let yourself be held down by what happens but to never forget it, learn from it.

To keep going forward even if it seems pointless, stoping would only mean you gave up.

To live your life with your head held high because you survived an unforgivable place even if it was amoral, morals are just an excuse to limit your actions the opinion of others isn't your opinion.

At the end of the day, you are the only one who can decide if it was worth it in the end no one else.

So... "only she can decide if this will break her" I responded, she gave me a long stare.

"and you won't help here?" she all but demanded of me but I shook me head.

"I can't help her, but I can support her... wouldn't you do the same?" I asked her with a straight face, they might be kids but if they don't accept 'the true man's world' it would eat them alive.

"I would help her!" she exclaimed and I narrowed my eyes.

"How? can you make the pain go away? would you tell her it's going to be okay?" I asked and she stopped for a moment, one has to know when they aren't fit for a job.

"it would be an insult to her, you can't even understand what she is feeling right now... and you think that you could help?" one who knows nothing can't understand nothing, she could end up making it worse.

She gaped at me and clenched her teeth "but... keeping her away from going the wrong way, keeping her company when she feels weak... that might be enough" I stated.

She looked up at me and... while she didn't show it, I could feel something akin to understanding, Shirai glanced at me and frowned but said nothing.

If she does.

Then she won't end up like me.

After that talk things have been mostly silent which I was not against, it gave me a chance to finally rest the girl that I have yet to get the name off was busy doing three things the whole time, checking her friend's injuries, sitting right besides said friend and go back to her laptop.

Shirai was in better shape now and left from time to time, she was probably keeping an eye out.

That was the routine for the next 4 hours, it was enough for me to probably be in my top condition, I'm not a doctor so that fact eluded me but considering that the pain wasn't there anymore I'll assume I'm fine.

I glanced at Shirai that just came out of the only door in the small apartment "I need to find the other survivors" I stated, at this point they are the only ones I can actually ask about what is happening.

She stared at me with narrowed eyes "and the other sites? shouldn't those be a priority?" I frowned... I met Saten about three days ago and she had already been part of a Gu.

My guess is that the only sites had already started their Gu's and maybe already finished them by that point, there could be the last survivors but the only reason I saved Saten was more because I knew her if anyone else attacked me like that... well the less I say about that the better "those are probably already completed... and I would prefer to stop it from happening rather than just following their failures".

"then I'll look in the sites then" she stated and I looked up at her... was that bravado a lie? We'll see soon enough, I nodded and she looked over to the girl on the computer.

"Uiharu, I need you to do me a favor" she asked with some hesitation while pulling out the flash drive and leaving it right next to her, the girl now named Uiharu looked at it then up at Shirai.

"would you help him find the people named in the flash drive?" she asked and Uiharu nodded after a brief moment, she must have been out of words after... yeah.

Shirai sighed and patted her on the back "and everything else you could be curious about is in there too... just don't call Anti-Skill or Judgement, it's complicated" after a moment of seeing what looked like pain flash through both of their eyes, Uiharu nodded again and started using the flash drive.

Shirai looked at me "I'll start looking at the other sites, you... just don't let anything happen" without waiting for a response she left through the door, making me sigh.

That seems like a really tall order right there "she is asking for a bit much" I said out loud.

Uiharu glanced at me "maybe, but I'm busy enough trying to keep us hidden from the security systems of the city... also Aoogami Pierce lives in a bakery back on district 7" she... is scarily quick.

I got up and looked at the laptop's screen "... the Happy Maid? really?" I asked in bewilderment.

She sighed "yup".

With an internal groan, I glanced to my right and saw my backpack, well time to change the blood on me would attract attention.

I glanced up at the... very interesting sign of the bakery, it was basically like looking at a toy store for little girls that thought princesses are real and the moon is made out of cheese, so really damn childish.

My clothes this time are a simple grey hoody with white wind motifs, black sports pants with pockets, sneakers and under the hoody, I was wearing a simple white sleeveless shirt the hood on my hoody was up because I like it that way.

Uiharu said this was the place... I'm a little skeptical of that but she seems to be good at her job, the door had a maid-cat girl waiting and opening the door to customers, I'm unsure as to how to feel about that.

Better be done with this now, I walked up to the door and received a greeting which I returned because I'm not rude and looked around what I would only describe as... fetishist haven.

Maid girls, tomboys, tall girls, small gi- yeah I'm about done here, my eyes landed on the only male worker in the entire building who is on the counter happily seeling people with his ever closed eyes and the smile of a snake, his clothes are that of a street man with a black jacket and black pants along with a white button-up shirt his other most distinctive trait was his blue hair.

Thankfully I was next in line so this shouldn't take long "hi there! welcome to the happy maid where all your dreams come true... maybe" he said with that ever-present smile of his that just annoyed me.

Let's get straight to the point then "I would like some Gu with a side of answers" for a brief moment his eyes opened and I could see the glaring yellow eyes underneath, calling him a snake seems even more fitting now.

He glanced at the tallest and most voluptuous lady in the room, she has purple/violet hair the color was like a blend between the two and is... wearing a cop outfit that seems too tight for my own liking, there was some muscle although it was barely noticeable, she was wearing glasses and her also yellow eyes were staring a hole through my back... wait is that a whip?.

At first, I thought she was another one to add to the fetish party but she obviously carried herself differently, like a soldier almost... "she seems lively" I quipped and saw Aoogami glance at me for another moment then the woman nodded.

"follow me" he stated and went to the back of the counter where I could see a door, I glanced behind me to see the tall woman telling something to one of the girls, feeling a bit paranoid I used the vibration on the air to hear them.

It was hard to get since there are many people here but the gist of it was 'cover for him and keep an ear open if it gets bad', she clearly didn't trust me that much.

I walked towards the door Aoogami was waiting right next to, seems like I just walked in a way more hostile territory than I expected to.

I glanced around the alleyway we found ourselves in, it was surprisingly clean... and empty.

"Whatever you have in your pocket... better keep it there" I said with a small glare, Aoogami stiffened for a moment but quickly composed himself, I'm unsure if it's actually a weapon my 'Sky Eye' just tells me the rough shape of thing in a wide area around me, but there was obviously a slight bulge in his left pocket.

He turned around to look at me with his eyes barely open "you aren't with them then, they wouldn't have bothered this much with formalities" he stated still smiling.

I rolled my eyes at that "I'm sure there are many things we could discuss but my main problem is knowing what the fuck is this Gu stuff all about? not expecting a lot here but anything would help" He pondered for a minute holding one of his hands under his chin like he was thinking about it.

"Nah, I don't wanna get involved in that mess all over again" this was delivered with an indifference that I could understand, he had no reason to care about it after all.

Sadly I do "another question then, how much will I have to beat you senseless to make you give me some answers?" I was being very aggressive but I have the feeling he wouldn't be up for diplomacy.

Now his eyes landed on mine and his smirk turned slightly upwards making it look a little unnatural "sorry but I really don't like pain a lot you know? it's bad for my looks" his left hand slowly dropped down towards the pocket on his pants.

"one last chance buddy or I'll have to get mean... and I don't want the people in the bakery getting involved" the last part was added as an afterthought from my part but the reaction I got from him was definitely unexpected.

His eyes widened and he gave me a direct stare that would have made me flinch if I was less experienced with this stuff "I may not want to go back... but that doesn't mean I forgot how Academy City's Darkside works, I still have it in me you know?" well someone sees some value in this place.

Time for some... coercing then "come on pal I found you, what makes you think they don't know where you are already?... if you didn't want to involve them then you shouldn't have come here, to begin with" now I actually received a glare in response, I'll count it as progress.

"if it's going to happen anyway, why not help me try to take them down? you have nothing to lose" I stated and it looked like it was about to work.

Until he sprung forward with what looked like a butter knife in hand, there was something weird about it so I raised my hand and was about to drop him on his ass with a wind canon.

I'm... unsure as to how to explain what happened next, my 'Sky Eye' was not like my normal senses so it didn't follow the way eye vision worked, there was a point where something moves fast enough that you can't see it, that wasn't the case with my 'Sky Eye' I could see what happened but my brain had a hard time understanding it.

It was like seeing the most fluent and organic animation being played at max speed and still being able to see every second of it but had no actual time to appreciate it, I know someone was behind the door we just went through but the moment they opened the door when me and Aoogami were about to fight they moved and while I found it impressive I was also terrified beyond my goddamn mind.

The same woman that was staring at me back in the bakery was looking down at me with her yellow eyes in... contemplation?, Her shoulder-length purple/violet hair was still billowing in the air because of her incredible show of speed.

"Murasaki-san?" Aoogami muttered surprised, probably for something different than me.

She glanced at him and my mind finally took hold that she was also grabbing both of our arms and nodded once "we'll talk more in my office" she stated and I found myself unable to deny her request so I nodded.

So that's what meeting someone 'strong' is like huh?.

Yeah, you can tell I'm not sure what to say in this area... BYE!
