Once we had gone past the hyenas, Simba turned to...
"Nala, you find my mother and rally the lionesses. We'll look for Scar."
While Nala went on her way, Simba and I made ours down to Pride Rock when we heard Scar call out. "SARABI!"
From where we were, Simba and I watched as Sarabi walked up to Pride Rock, ignoring the snapping hyenas.
"Your mom?" I asked Simba, who nodded his head.
"Yes, Scar?" asked Sarabi.
"Where is your hunting party?" Scar asked back. "They're not doing their job."
"Because there's no food." expalined Sarabi. "The herds have moved on."
"No." Scar protested. "You're just not looking hard enough!"
"It's over. There is nothing left." said Sarabi. "We have only one choice. We must leave Pride Rock."
"We're not going anywhere." snarled Scar.
"Then you have sentenced us to death!"
"Then, so be it!"
"You can't do that."
"I am the king. I can do whatever I want."
"If you were half the king Mufasa was, you would..."
Fed up with his brother's name mentioned again, Scar struck Sarabi down, stating. "I'm ten times the king Mufasa was!"
"No, you're not!"
At the sound of my voice and the following roar from Simba as lightning stuck, Scar jumped back, thinking it was...
"Mufasa? No. It can't be."
Leaping down from the ledge we were on, I got down from Simba, who gave his mother a nudge.
Slowly, Sarabi opened here eyes and stared at...
"Mufasa?"
"No. It's me."
"Simba? You're alive? How can that be?"
"It doesn't matter." said Simba as he rubbed his face with Sarabi's. "I'm home."
As he watched, Scar realized that, instead of Mufasa, it was...
"Eliza? Simba! I'm a little surprised to see you two...alive?"
As Scar said this, he angrily eyed Shenzi, Banzai and Ed, who gulped nervously, then slinked into the shadows.
"Give me one good reason why I shouldn't rip you apart." demanded Simba as he cornered Scar, who said. "Now, Simba, try to understand. The pressures of ruling the animal kingdom..."
"...are no longer yours." Simba finished for him. "Step down, Scar."
"Oh, oh, ye...well, I would, heh, naturally, heh." Scar said, chuckling nervously. "However, there is one little problem.
"You see them?" he asked, pointing at the army of hyenas on the rocks above. "They think I'm the king."
"Well, we don't!"
At the sound of Nala's voice, Simba and Scar turned to see her with the other lionesses, helping Sarabi up on her feet.
"Simba's the rightful king." Nala went on.
"And you know it." I added.
"The choice is yours, Scar." said Simba. "Either step down or fight."
"Oh, must this all end in violence?" asked Scar. "I'd hate to be responsible for the death of a family member. Wouldn't you agree, Simba?"
"That's not gonna work, Scar." Simba said, already knowing what he's up to. "I've put it behind me."
"Eh, but what about your faithful subjects?" asked Scar. "Have they put it behind them?"
Upon seeing the look on his eyes, I realized what he was doing.
"Simba, don't listen to him. He's trying to manipulate you."
"Ahh, so you haven't told them your little secret." Scar said to his nephew, whom he walked around. "Well, Simba, now's your chance to tell them. Tell them who is responsible for Mufasa's death!"
The lionesses and I turned to Simba, who just stood there, then took a step forward, saying. "I am."
Stunned with what we heard, Nala and I stared at each other while Sarabi approached Simba, saying. "It's not true."
In shame, Simba stepped back as she pleaded. "Tell me it's not true."
Simba stared at his mother with regret and said. "It's true."
"You see!" Scar said to me and the lionesses. "He admits it! Murderer!"
"No. It was an accident." Simba tried to explain, but Scar overpowered him, saying. "If it weren't for you, Mufasa would still be alive. It's your fault he's dead. Do you deny it?"
"No."
"Then... you're... guilty!"
"No. I'm not a murderer."
I tried to put a stop to this, but Shenzi, Banzai and Ed wouldn't me get near Scar, who backed Simba up the length of Pride Rock, saying. "Oh, you're in trouble again, Simba. But this time, Daddy isn't here to save you, because now, EVERYONE..KNOWS...WHY!"
At that, Simba slipped over the edge, clinging by his forepaws.
"No!" I cried.
"Simba!" cried Nala.
Lightning struck again, this time, setting the Pride Lands on fire, just as the ComVee arrived at Pride Rock.
While Mom and Dad stared in shock, Debbie said. "Oh, that's so not good."
