Simba tried to hold onto the ledge for dear life as Scar looked on, saying. "Well, now. This looks familiar. Hmm. Where have I seen this before? Let me think. Hmmm. Oh, yes, now I remember. This is just the way your father looked before he..."
Before he could finish, a flare shot rang out.
Seeing that it came from the ComVee, Scar turned to me, asking. "Your family, I presume?"
I only frowned as he said. "Well, it's a good thing they're here..."
As Scar spoke, Shenzi, Banzai and Ed pushed me off the ledge.
But I grabbed ahold of Simba's tail as Scar went on, saying. "So they can see the two of you perish...the same way I did to Mufasa!"
As he heard those words, somthing snapped inside Simba.
Letting out an angry roar, he lunged up, while I held onto his tail, and pinned Scar on his back, crying out. "Murderer!"
As Mom and Dad watched from inside the ComVee, they heard the CongoCom starting and driving towards Pride Rock.
And who was riding the CongoCom to Pride Rock?
"Debbie!" Mom called out.
"No, Simba, please!" Scar begged his nephew, who demanded."Tell them the truth!"
"Truth? But truth is in the eye of the behold."
That was what Scar said before I pulled on his goatee beard, bringing him closer.
"I did it." he said finally.
"So you blamed Simba for your own brother's death. Why?" I asked.
Scar glared at me, stating. "If I can't be king...neither will he!"
At those words, the hyenas attacked Simba in a wall of teeth.
"Leave him alone!" I demanded, only to be pushed aside by them and cornered by Shenzi, Banzai, and Ed.
"You were right, Banzai." said Shenzi. "We should've gnawed at them the moment we met."
"I call dibs on the ponytails!" sneered Banzai.
But just as they closed in on me, a voice called out. "Get away from my sister!"
It was Debbie, who swatted the hyenas away with a stick.
"Whew, thanks for the save, Deb." I said.
"You owe me big time when this is over." Debbie said in response as she handed me a flare stick, before being tackled by Banzai.
"Debbie!" I cried.
While trying to push back Banzai, who gnashed his teeth at her, Debbie said. "Get off of me, you slobbering, mangy..."
As he got closer, Banzai was knocked out cold.
Debbie looked up and saw that Rafiki had whacked him with his staff.
With a loud cry, he bounded down into the battle.
"Gotta admit, that monkey's got skills." Debbie said as she and I saw Rafiki fighting off the hyenas that stood in his way. "Let's go!"
"Debbie, wait." I said. "We can't leave Simba now. He needs our help."
"It's the lion or your life. Now, come on!" Debbie said, putting me inside the sidecare of the CongoCom, despite my protests.
"Debbie, no!"
Darwin, Pumbaa, and the meerkats had just arrived at Pride Rock, only to see Debbie and I driving away from the burning Pride Rock.
"Eliza...WAAAAAAAHHHHHH!" screeched Darwin, who started to run with the meerkats as Shenzi and Banzai chase after them inside the cave, where, upon seeing them, Zazu, still in his cage, pleaded. "Let me out! Let me out!"
"Let us in! Let us in!" said Ma as she, Timon, Uncle Max and Darwin hurried inside the rib cage.
"Please don't eat us." Darwin begged to Shenzi and Banzai, who licked their lips with hunger, when they heard a voice ask. "Problem?"
Shenzi and Banzai turned to see Pumbaa at the cave entrance.
"Hey, who's the pig?" asked Banzai.
"Are you talking to me?" Pumbaa asked back.
"Did you just call him a pig?" Ma asked Banzai.
"Are you talking to me?" Pumbaa asked again.
"Shouldn't 'a done that." said Timon.
"ARE YOU TALKING TO ME?!" Pumbaa asked louder.
"Now you're gonna get it!" said Uncle Max.
"They CALL me...MISTER PIG!" said Pumbaa, who let out a cry as he charged at Shenzi and Banzai.
Once free from the cage, Zazu, the meerkats and Darwin joined in the fight, driving the hyenas away.
As he scanned through the ongoing battle between the lionesses and the hyenas, Simba turned and spotted Scar slinking away.
Seeing his nephew chase after him, Scar rushed to the top of Pride Rock, where he noticed the sheer drop.
He stepped back just before Simba leapt through the wall of fire.
"It's over, Scar." he said, walking towards his uncle, who pleaded. "Simba. Simba, please. Please have mercy. I beg you."
"Not after what you did." said Simba.
"But, Simba, I am...ah...family." Scar said, chuckling nervously. "It's the hyenas, who are the real enemy. It was their fault, it was their idea."
Little did Scar realize that Shenzi, Banzai, and Ed heard what he said, growling angrily at his betrayal.
"Why should I believe you?" Simba said, staring angrily at his terrified uncle. "Everything you ever told me was a lie."
"What are you going to do?" asked Scar. "You wouldn't kill your own uncle, would you?"
"No, Scar." said Simba. "I'm not like you."
Scar sighed with relief. "Oh, Simba, thank you. You are truly noble. I'll make it up to you, I promise. How can I, ah, prove myself to you? Tell me. I mean, anything."
"Run!" Simba said coldly. "Run away, Scar...and never return."
Realizing that he meant it, Scar calmly said. "Yes...of course.
"As you wish...Your Majesty!" he growled, swiping a bunch of hot coals into Simba's face.
With a cry of surprise and pain, Simba brushed them away before Scar lunged at him.
The two lions, nephew and uncle, fought it out before Scar knocked Simba on his back through the flames.
Just as Scar closed in for the kill, Simba flipped him over the cliff.
Down below, Pumbaa, Darwin and the meerkats watched as Scar landed on the hard ground.
"I'd say Scar is down and out!" said Pumbaa.
As Scar weakly helped himself up, he noticed Shenzi, Banzai and Ed glaring down at him.
"Ahh, my friends."
"Frie-he-hends?" Shenzi laughed. "I thought he said we were the enemy!"
"Yeah, that's what I heard." agreed Banzai, who, along with Shenzi, turned to...
"Ed?"
...who started to laugh, but it sounded evil than usual as the other hyenas menacingly walked towards Scar, who protested. "No. L...l...l...le...le...le...le...let me explain. No. You don't understand. No! I didn't mean for...No! No! Look, I'm sorry I called you...No! NO!"
But it was already too late. The hyenas pounced on Scar as the flames rose higher.
