I don't own Pokémon, or any of the characters and if I did, I will have Necrozma use the Z-Move Light That Burns The Sky to defeat Eternamax Eternatus.

After Elio stepped down as a Champion and gives his title to Hau, he decides to return to his home near Hau'oli Outskirts and to spend some time with his mother.

While he stays at home, he still continues to train his Pokémon at the outskirts when he has a free time. His team party were Incineroar, his ace, a newly discovered Dusk Form Lycanroc, a Vikavolt, a Lucario, an Araquanid, and a Lurantis.

Even though he had Solgaleo, Necrozma, or Naganadel, he didn't want to use them and keeps them under the Aether Foundation's protection. And he will only use them in case another crisis in Alola will occur, or he would rather pay them a visit to check on them.

Elio also had a number of strong Pokémon as well, but they're under Professor Kukui's keep. Dragonite, Carracosta, Snorlax, Crabominable, Alolan Ninetales, just to name a few. He often visits the Professor sometimes by helping him doing some fieldwork and analyzing the power of some Pokémon moves.

Despite having a good routine everyday, he feels somewhat lonely. He admits that he missed travelling, but there's more than that. He feels like, he misses someone.

Someone that he used to travel with during their Island Challenge, in which they both succeeded. She is also with him saving Solgaleo from the hands of Necrozma in Ultra Megalopolis with Lunala's help. And they also had a battle fighting for the title of Alola's first Champion, which he eventually wins. She also assisted him rescuing Lusamine from the hands of Team Rainbow Rocket alongside Lillie, Hau, and Guzma.

After all of that events, due to having his Champion duties, they're not seeing each other since then. The last thing that he heard that she is travelling with Lillie in Kanto, his native region.

He didn't have a chance to say goodbye to her, and he didn't have a chance to tell her about his feelings that were developing inside of him.

He reminisced the moments that they had during the course of their journey. But at the same time, if he confesses his feelings for her, this will might ruin their long-time friendship.

"I wonder what she is doing right now. I hope she will come back here soon enough. I really missed her."

Two weeks later...

"Hey, Elio! Don't push yourself and your Pokémon too hard while training, got it?"

"Duly noted, Mom!"

"Just come home early before it gets dark!"

Since Elio has nothing to do on that particular day, he decides to train his Pokémon all day at the outskirts.

Along his way to the outskirts, he met Professor Kukui while jogging on his way.

"Alola, Elio. Let me guess, you'll gonna have another training routine with your Pokémon, yeah?" asked Kukui.

"Alola, Professor. And yup, I'm having a training routine with my Pokémon, especially Incineroar. Just one more push, and he will master the move Cross Chop in no time, Professor!" Elio said.

"That's great to hear, Elio! You sure are really a hard worker, that's what I'm expecting for a former Champion like you! Oh, you seem to be fully packed, Elio. Are we going for a trip or something?"

"Oh, this?", Elio said, as he showed his backpack. "It's just loaded with some Pokémon food that I prepared earlier this morning and my food for lunch, Professor."

"Wow, that sure is a lot."

"Yes, Professor, you know Incineroar. He has a big appetite after all," Elio said while chuckling.

"Yeah, I guess your right. Oh, I gotta go now, Elio. My wife Burnet needs me at her Research Lab. Have a good day training with your Pokémon, and keep soaring high like a High Jump Kick, yeah!"

"Thanks, Professor! Sure thing!"

After he bid goodbye to Professor Kukui, he continues to walk on his way to the outskirts and upon arriving there, he let out all of his Pokémon to come out of their Poké Balls.

"All right everyone, come on out!"

He tossed all of his Poké Balls in the air and his team of Incineroar, Lycanroc, Vikavolt, Lucario, Araquanid, and Lurantis have popped out.

"We're gonna have some serious training to do, guys. Are you ready?"

His Pokémon cheered loudly, a sign that they are ready

"I'll take it as a yes, then. This is gonna be fun. Let's get started-OOF!"

He didn't finished what he said when all of his Pokémon had suddenly gathered around him for a group hug.

"Guys...get off...can't...breathe!"

Realizing that their Trainer cannot breathe as he became blue, the Pokémon let go of him and quickly gave him an apologetic look, which Elio accepts.

"I know that you're excited and so pumped up to train but warn me next time, okay? I thought that I'll gonna be crushed for good. Especially you, Lucario! Your spike chest will gonna kill me!"

The Pokémon only grinned sheepishly at their mistake but after that, they started to do their training.

Two hours later...

"Alright, I think that's enough for now. Great job for all of you. You all deserve a good rest and you can have your lunch now, guys!"

Elio had called his Pokémon for a lunch and went to a small cabin that he used to stay when they are having a break from training. The cabin was not too big nor not too small, but it still fits for a small group of people or Pokémon to accomodate and to use.

Elio started to distribute the foods to his Pokémon equally, with the exception of Incineroar, who has got three plates compared to the others that has only one plate each.

"Alright, guys! Dig yourselves in and enjoy your lunch! It's time for me to eat!"

The Pokémon ate their food happily as Elio had started to eat his own food that his mom had prepared for him.

"Mmmm, Mom's cooking is the best!"

After lunch and washing the dishes, Elio told his Pokémon to get some more rest before they get back to training.

"Guys, I'll just go outside to get some fresh air. I'll be back for a couple of minutes."

The Pokémon nodded their heads and starts to chat with each other with their own languages.

As Elio goes out of the cabin, he stretched out his arms and savoring the fresh air of Alola that gently blows all over him.

Although it's sunny day, Elio decides to go for a little walk while enjoying the Alola's wonderful nature.

After walking for about twenty minutes in the outskirts, he said, "I think its time for me and my Pokémon to train. Might as well get back to the cabin for now and start training."

The former Champion walks on his way back to the cabin, not knowing that someone is following him.

"It's been a while, Elio. I see that you still haven't changed a bit since the last time. I've really missed you, my shining sun."

With that, the figure continued to follow him secretly on the way to Elio's cabin. What Elio didn't know that he will meet his friend again that he didn't see for a long time upon his return to the cabin.

When Elio reached the cabin and entered inside, he noticed that his Pokémon are taking a nap.

"Oh bummer, its too early for them to take a nap by now, but it looks like they fall asleep while I'm gone. Might as well not gonna disturb them now. That training that we have was tiring after all."

The former Champion went back outside of the cabin before he gave a quick glance to them while closing the door. Then he decides to go for another walk far from the cabin and looked at the sea, enjoying the view of the crashing waves of the sea.

"Now, what I'm gonna do now? I don't want to disturb my Pokémon in their siesta right now."

As he continue to look beyond the horizon sea, he reminisced again the times that he had when he started on his journey partaking the Island Challenge alongside Hau and his friend that he developed a crush with.

He was thinking of her again.

He didn't know that a mysterious figure is approaching behind him, ready to surprise him.

"I wish she's here with me. I didn't get a chance to tell her how I feel about her. I will do everything to make up with her once-"

He didn't get to finish what he's about to say on his mind when his vision became black and upon realizing it, his eyes were covered with... a human hands.

He tried to get the hands off on his eyes, but to no avail. It seems that this figure is strong enough to hold off his eyes like a Suction Cups.

"Okay, whoever you are, get your hands off to me! I can't see a thing!"

However, he got no response, as the figure still covering Elio's eyes.

"I'm serious! Again, get your hands off to me! I have no time to play games with the likes of you!"

This time, the figure only giggles. The figure seems to be enjoying to tease him.

"I swear to Arceus, if you don't get your hands off to me, I have no choice but I have to do-"

"You're so fun to tease up to now, you know that?" the figure suddenly spoke up with a sweet but teasing voice.

"What are you-..."

But he suddenly cut off after hearing the figure's voice. "That voice... that... sweet voice... It sounds... familiar. I think I've heard that- Wait! Could it be...?"

"Guess who?"

"Get your hands off to me, Selene! I know it is you!"

The figure, now known as Selene, starts to get her hands off on Elio's eyes, and placed her hands on her hips as Elio turned around to face her.

"How do you know that it was me, you dweeb?" Selene asked with a puffy cheeks on her face.

Elio rolled his eyes upon hearing that word and replied, "You are the only one I know with a sweet and lovely voice with a little bit of sarcasm here, who else? Don't you think I didn't know that, despite the fact that we've used to travel all over the Alola region together?"

Selene blushed a little bit after hearing what Elio had said, but she retorted, "Hey! I'm not sarcastic here! Maybe you!"

"Ha, me?! How so?" he said in a mocking tone.

"Seriously, is that how you greet a friend that you didn't see for a long time? And hey! I'm not here to mess you all day. I..." she trailed off for a second before lowering her voice. "...just wanted to see you after a long time."

"Huh? I-Is t-that so?"

Suddenly, Elio felt his heart was beating fast like a Rapidash. "Maybe, I still have a chance after all. Thank Arceus." But at the same time, he was having doubts to himself whether he should do it or not."What if... if she didn't feel the same about me? I'm afraid that our friendship will end things badly once I confessed to her. I don't want that to happen."

"Hey, Elio! Down to Elio! Are you alright?" Selene asked.

Elio came back to his senses and said, "Oh, yeah. I'm alright."

"You're spacing out back there. Are you thinking of something, or is something bothering you in the past days?"

"N-No! I-It's nothing, really," Elio said while waving his hands.

"Okay, if you say so. So, how are you by the way? You're still wearing that outfit of yours. You still haven't changed your style a bit after all, I see," Selene smirked.

"Heh, what can I say? This is my style. Although I bought some new clothes, I still prefer to wear this. About me, here, training with my Pokémon when I have some free time. I see that you're still wearing that casual outfit of yours, Selene. You still look cute in that," Elio stated while grinning.

"C-Cute?! Uh... t-thanks," Selene stuttered, while blushing and scratching her cheek with her finger.

True to Elio's words, Selene is still wearing her red flower-like beanie hat with a Poké Ball design in the middle of it, she wears a loose cream-colored shirt with pink and gold floral patterns around it and is tied at the bottom of it, a teal-green shorts, and her casual shoes with a Litten-themed design.

On the other hand, as Selene had said, Elio is wearing his black baseball cap with a Poké Ball design with a blue brim on it, he wears a white and blue-striped shirt, a black cargo shorts with red linings, and his casual shoes with a Popplio-colored theme design.

"You look more even cute when you flustered."

Selene's blush is getting redder, she don't know what Elio is implying whether it's a compliment or not, so she decide to change the subject. "Stop teasing me, you dweeb. You're making me blush even harder."

"Okay, change of topic. By the way, is Rotom still with you?" Selene asked, as she recovered from her embarassment.

"Rotom? He's staying at my house. Why'd you asked?"

"Oh, nothing. Just making sure if he's still around. That gizmo can be annoying sometimes, you know."

"Yeah, you're right," muttered Elio. "Oh, since when you have returned here in Alola, Selene? Last time I've heard, you were travelling with Lillie in the Kanto Region, right? So that means, Lillie is here, too?" he asked.

"Yeah, Lillie and I travelled to Kanto to look for a person named Bill. While in Kanto, I challenged some of the Kanto Trainers and they were amazed with the power of Z-Moves. Luckily, we have found Bill and agreed to come with us. I have even met the renowned Professor Oak, and he even gave me a little present for me. Wanna see?"

"Really?! You met Professor Oak?! That's awesome! What's the gift Professor Oak gave to you?!" Elio asked with an excitement.

"Here!" Selene rummaged through her bag and shows a red device that looks like a phone with a Rotom face behind it.

"This is a Rotom Phone. Not only it serves as a Pokédex, but it has also have some other cool features here, too."

Selene showed Elio the other features of her Rotom Phone, while explaining each of them in detail.

"Wow! This is so cool! I wish I had one, too!" Elio said in amazement with a sparkle in his eyes.

"I know, right. This is much better than Rotom Dex. And before you ask, yeah, she's here. Lillie and I arrived here in Alola three days ago. We parted ways with Lillie, along with Bill, when Gladion came to the airport to fetch Lillie and Bill to take them to the Aether Paradise. Before they leave, Lillie and Gladion thanked me for helping them. Upon arriving at my house, I still feel jet lagged, so I decided to rest for a whole day. Any questions?" explained Selene.

"Wow, how did she know that?" thought Elio in wonder, but instead, he smiled and shaked his head, satisfied on what he heard.

Soon, silence fell upon them. They kept silent for a while, not knowing what they want to say to each other. They didn't notice the blush that were appearing on their cheeks.

"Why am I feeling nervous all of a sudden? I'm just fine a while ago, but..." Then, an idea suddenly came on Elio's mind, a light bulb appearing above his head. "Alright, that's it!"

"Um... Selene?" Elio started.

"Yeah, what is it, Elio?" Selene asked, as she turned to face him.

"I was wondering if... uh, if you wanna hang out with me, you know, go to the mall, go shopping, a-anything you want. Eat malasadas, just exploring the city, the like... just like the old times. What do you say?" Elio suggested while fiddling his fingers bashfully.

Selene was confused on what Elio had been saying. She noticed that he was acting weird when they became silent a while ago."Is he asking me for a date or something?" she thought to herself, but quickly shook her head. "N-No! That can't be! It's just a friendly hangout, that's all."

"I-It's fine if you don't want to, but I'm just feeling bored right now, uh... I-I'm so-..."

"Hey, what are you talking about, Elio? Of course I'd love to go hang out with you! Besides, I have nothing much to do right now," Selene agreed.

Elio's face beamed with excitement. "R-Really?! Y-You mean it?!"

"Of course! We're friends, right? Now then, let's get goin-WOAH!"

But she was taken aback when Elio suddenly tackled her in a tight hug, causing her to widen her eyes in shock. Selene was blushing furiously at that moment, not knowing how'll she gonna react.

"Thank you, thank you!" Elio exclaimed with a pure bliss on his face.

Unable to contain herself, Selene hugged Elio back. She wrapped her arms around his neck and buried her head onto his shoulder. They have missed each other and stayed that for a while, savoring each embrace for every second.

"I missed you, Elio," she murmured.

"I missed you, too, Selene," he answered back.

After a couple of minutes, they broke apart on each others arms, unaware that something, or rather someone is spying on them.

"So, shall we keep going, milady?" Elio asked while acting as a butler, bowing his head.

"Let's go, my dear butler," Selene said while acting as a princess, as Elio offered his hand to her.

Selene hold Elio's hand and gently squeezed it. Deep inside, Selene was squealing in delight, she can't believe he was holding Elio's hands after such a long time.

But they suddenly stopped when Elio remembered something.

"Hey, Elio. Is something wrong? Why did we stop?" Selene wondered

"I think I forgot something. I don't know what it is but..."

Then, a flash of lightning had struck in his mind and...

"Crap! I forgot my Pokémon! I told them that I will come back later. I'll gonna go fetch them quick!"

As fast as Quick Attack, he rushed off on his way to the cabin, leaving Selene alone in the dust.

"Hey, Elio! WAIT FOR ME!"

Elio was heavily panting when he reached the cabin. He sat down on the ground while he's catching breath. Then, he noticed Selene, trying to catch up with him.

"*pant* Since when *pant* did you *pant* run fast... like that?!" Selene asked while catching her breath.

"S-Sorry, Selene. I shouldn't left you in a dust like that. I'm just worrying for my Pokémon," said Elio with an apologetic look.

"Apology accepted," Selene said. "But you should warn me next time when you're gonna run off like that, 'kay? Here, let me help you."

Selene helped Elio to get up by reaching her hand to him. She pulled Elio gently and helped him to regain his composure.

"Thanks, Selene."

"You're welcome, Elio," she said with a cheeky smile on her face.

"Come with me."

Elio entered the cabin with Selene following behind him, and as soon as they entered, Elio spotted his Pokémon now already awake and they are happy that their Trainer came back.

"Guys, I see that you are all woke up now. I'm sorry that I kept you waiting, but I'm here now."

The Pokémon were surprised at first on how Elio knew they took a nap, but they shrugged it off and approached Elio.

That's when they noticed Selene behind Elio, and Incineroar is the first one to greet her.

"Hey, Incineroar, good to see you again," greeted Selene, while patting Incineroar's head. "Good to see you guys, too, Lucario, Lycanroc, Araquanid, Vikavolt, and Lurantis."

Elio's Pokémon were happy upon seeing Selene again.

"Oh, that's right. I know you missed them, too. So, let's head outside. Elio, let's go!"

They went outside the cabin and Selene let out her Pokémon to come out.

"Alright, everyone. It's time for a reunion."

She tossed all of her Poké Balls in the air and her team of Primarina, Kommo-o, Toucannon, Manectric, Shiinotic, and Lunala have popped out.

It was a happy reunion to them. The Pokémon quickly exchanged conversations among themselves and were happy that they met again. Elio and Selene can't help but to smile at the sight in front of them.

Incineroar is having a great time talking with Primarina, Lucario and Manectric showing off their new moves, Lurantis and Shiinotic seems to be playing some sort of hand-gesturing game, and the rest are running and playing tag, with Lunala joining them.

"So, you still brought Lunala with you, huh?" Elio said.

"Yeah, I still have it. But I didn't use it in battles. What would the other Trainers say if I use a Legendary Pokémon against them, huh? It's unfair for them," Selene stated.

"You're right," Elio nodded. "But I'm happy to see them interact with each other again. I missed those times that we had with our Pokémon."

"Agreed."

After thirty minutes of catching up and playing, Elio and Selene decided to recall their Pokémon.

"Alright, I know you still all want to train, but there has been a change of plans. You can rejoice now by taking a break from training."

"You too, guys. I know you're happy to see your friends again, but you can see them again some other time. For now, return!"

Their Pokémon only nodded with satisfying smiles on their faces and already knew that their Trainers will gonna have their own time to spend together, before they were all sucked in a red beam to get back to their Poké Balls.

"Now that's done, shall we keep going?" Elio asked.

"Yup, let's go!" exclaimed Selene.

Just as they're about to go on their way, a red 'gizmo' looms in front of them.

"BINGO! Caught you... zzzt!"

"GAH!" they both yelped in unison.

"Rotom! Don't scare us like that!" Elio said annoyingly.

"Elio, I thought Rotom was in your house," Selene said.

"Y-Yeah, but by the way, why are you here, Rotom? And how long have you been here?"

"I was tasked by your mom to check on you... bzzzt," Rotom started. "When I came here an hour ago in the cabin that you were staying, you're not there so I searched all over the outzkirtzz to look for you. When I found you, I alzo found Selene with you, so I decided to have a spy on you and azz I expected, I was right! ...bzzzt!

"Right about what?" Elio asked, puzzled by what Rotom is implying. "And wait? You spied on us?!"

"Yes, and you know what. You're having a date with Selene, you silly... zzzt! I've liztened to your conversation earlier... bzzzt!"

"D-Date?!" they both exclaimed. Elio and Selene looked each other for a while and they both blushed while looking away from each other's gazes.

"This is embarrasing," thought Elio.

"Zzzt... You didn't think I don't know what you're doing lately," Rotom said as he shows the picture of Elio and Selene hugging at each other.

"ROTOM!" they both exclaimed while their faces were turning red.

"What? I was just taking your picture as a memorabilia for you two ...zzzt!" the Rotom Dex said.

"I'm gonna shut you down for good if you didn't stop this!" warned Elio.

"C'mon, Elio. Admit it. Didn't you tell Selene about your fee-mmmph!"

The neck-length haired Trainer grabbed Rotom and stuffed him into his bag, with Rotom trying to say something but his voice was muffled and quickly zipped his bag.

"There. Much better. No more annoyances," he said. "Phew, that was a close one."

"Good riddance on Rotom, Elio! But about Rotom had said earlier, is there something that you didn't tell me about?" Selene asked suspiciously while raising her eyebrows.

"Oh, shoot! She heard what Rotom had said! What am I gonna do now?!" he asked himself in thought.

"Elio?" she said, tilting her head.

"Oh, hehe, don't mind Rotom. Let's talk about that later. For now, let's have some fun in Hau'oli City, shall we?" Elio said, chuckled nervously.

"If you say so. One more thing, Elio. This hang out that we'll gonna have, is this a date?" Selene asked bluntly.

Elio blushed a bit, looking away from her before saying, "Uh... I guess you can call it a date."

"A-Are you serious? So it is r-really a date?"

"Y-You can tell that," he answered back.

"Why didn't you say so, you dweeb? I didn't know you're such a gentleman, Elio. C'mon, let's go and let's make this date a memorable one!" Selene said excitedly, dragging Elio's arm in the process.

"W-Wait! Don't drag me! Y-You don't need to do that!"

However, she didn't mind him and instead, she looked at him and playfully blew her tongue to him.

The duo had sprinted on their way to Hau'oli City.

"This is gonna be fun. I still can't believe that I'm having a date with my 'shining sun'. I still have a chance to tell my feelings for him. Sweet!" Selene thought, squealing to herself. "But still, about what Rotom said is still bugging me. He's hiding something from me. I need to figure out what could that be. And I'll talk about it later after our date. I will even force him to tell what's on his mind if that's the last thing I do."

"I hope this date goes well and after this, I'm gonna confess my feelings to her. Just take it easy, Elio. You can do this!"

Twenty minutes later...

The duo arrived in Hau'oli City and started to have fun on their date.

They enjoyed the hours spending time together by checking out the Shopping District, strolling around Hau'oli City, eating Malasadas, talking about their Pokémon training, battle-raiding the Battle Buffet, played games on a mini-arcade stall, and bought some few clothes from Apparel Shop.

They are now at the Hau'oli Beachfront, sitting on a bench while eating some left-over Malasadas and enjoying the view of sun setting on a horizon sea.

"Thank you for the date that we have, Elio. It was fun being around with you," Selene said.

"You're welcome, Selene. Me too, it was fun hanging out with you." Elio said, giving her a smile.

They talked for a few minutes until they became silent for a while. Still gazing the sunset, Elio feels something on his shoulder and realizes that it was Selene, who is resting her head on his shoulder.

"Um... Selene. I-I'm sorry," he said with a sad tone on his voice.

She darted him with a confused look.

"You're sorry for what, Elio? And what did I do wrong?"

"No, you did nothing wrong. That's not what I mean." He paused for a second, before continuing. "I'm sorry because I didn't had a chance to say goodbye to you when you were about to leave with Lillie. I thought... I'll never see you again. And I... I-"

"No need to apologize, Elio. I know you're busy at that time, I understand." She gently took his hand, still looking up to him. "But I'm here now and I will stand by next to you, got that? That's what friends are for, right?"

"Yeah, right."

Elio snuggled closer to Selene. He slowly reached her shoulder with his one arm, moving her closer. They stared at each other's grey eyes, before they lost into their own world. They feel like the time has slowed down to them. Closing their eyes, they slowly leaned forward, until their faces are only a few inches away.

Until...

"Oh, there you are, Elio. What are you doing out there?"

The two quickly opened their eyes and regained their senses, as they turned to see Elio's mother from behind.

"M-Mom!" the former Champion was surprised to see his mother. "W-What are you d-doing here?"

"I went to the market to buy some ingredients for our dinner, dear. I want to try to cook a curry that is popular in a far region." Then, she turned to Selene. "Oh, Selene! It's good to see you again! You can come with us on our dinner if you want," she offered.

"I'd love to! Thank you for the offer!"

"Well then, let's head home now. It's getting pretty dark." Elio's mother said, with Elio and Selene gathered their belongings in the bench and followed suit.

"Oh, sorry from intruding you two earlier. Were you two having a moment?"

Remembering what they did earlier, their blushes were as red as a Tamato Berry, and their faces will about to explode in an awkward embarassment as a result of that.

"No need to say anything. Your blushes said otherwise. How romantic! I'm happy to see that my boy has finally grew up," his mom cooed, as like if she was daydreaming about them.

"MOM! You're embarassing me! Stop this!" Elio protested.

"Well, that's your mom for you, Elio," Selene grinned.

"Oh, boy," the Trainer with a black cap sighed.

"It was so close for me if my mom didn't found us."

"Rotom is with you, right?"

"Yes, mom! He's here in my bag-"

"Hey, what brzzt... did I miss? brzzzt!" Rotom suddenly popped out of Elio's bag. "I almozt zlept out in hours... zzzzt!"

"You don't need to know everything, Rotom, I'll just tell it later when we get home," Elio groaned, rolling his eyes.

Elio, his mother, Rotom Dex, and Selene, while talking were now heading on their way to Elio's place.

Three hours later...

"Thanks for the food, Mom! That Sausage Curry was very tasty, and I'm sure the Pokémon liked it, too," Elio said enthusiastically, while looking at their Pokémon enjoying their dinner.

"I agree with Elio. I liked the curry very much. Thanks for the food!" Selene said politely, bowing her head.

"You're welcome Selene, and thanks for your help, too," Elio's mom said.

"Oh, let me help you wash the dishes. That's the least I can do for inviting me here for dinner," Selene offered.

"That's nice of you, dear. Will you help me collect these plates?"

"Sure."

"I'll just go to my room, Mom."

"Okay, Elio."

Elio and Selene recalled back their Pokémon on their Pokéballs after the dinner. Elio headed to his room while Selene went to help his Mom on cleaning the dishes.

When Elio entered his room, he was greeted by Rotom.

"Hey Elio, mind if I talk to you a bit, zzzt?" Rotom asked, as Elio closed the door.

"Uh, what is it that you want to talk about, Rotom?" Elio sat down on his bed, placing his hands on his lap as he focused on Rotom.

"Thiz iz your chance, Elio! You must tell Selene about your feelings for her, zzzzt! Don't let this opportunity pass up!"

"I know, Rotom. It's just... I'm just waiting for the right time to tell her what I feel for her."

"Well, the right time iz now, Elio! NOW! ...zzzt! For the love of Arceus... are you still afraid that it will ruin your friendship because of it? I think she feels the same way too, Elio. ...zzzt."

"And how do you say that, Rotom?"

"Oh, c'mon! You think I didn't saw you how close you are to her earlier? You two were about to kizz, brzzt!"

"Wh-wh-wha...! Y-You saw that?! I thought you were sleeping!"

"I was just kidding when I said I zlept for hourz, but I'm keeping an Miracle Eye on you two, heh," Rotom snickered.

"You sounded like the Professor," the former Champion sweatdropped of what he heard from Rotom, his blush were spreading across his cheeks. He is about to open his mouth when he heard a knock from the door.

"Elio, can I come in?"

Realizing it was Selene, he glanced at Rotom, who gave him an amused look.

"~This-is-your-chance~," Rotom said in a sing-song manner. "Go get her, Elio! Don't get too nervouz. Juzt take it easy... zzzt!"

"Thanks, Rotom," Elio flashed Rotom with a smile. "Oh, come in!"

The door opened, as Selene entered his room. "Hey Elio."

"Oopz... I'm gonna leave you two some privacy. Later, Elio... zzzt!" Rotom past his way out of the room, before he give him a last glance with a wink.

"What's with Rotom? He's weird," Selene said, as she closed the door.

"Nothing. We just talked about a few things. That's all," he explained.

The short haired girl hummed and sat down on the bed beside Elio, brushing her side-swept bangs with her fingers. "Oh, I asked your mom if I can stay here overnight, and said that I'm welcome here to stay."

"Really?"

"Yes, so I can spend some more time with you. Now then..." She moved her face closer to Elio, his sweat was dropping on his face with a shiver that went down on his spines, a faint blush was showing on his cheeks. "...would you care to explain what you are hiding from me? Spill the beans, Mr. Former Champion!"

"Uh, Selene... w-what are you t-talking about? W-Why the s-sudden change of attitude?" he stuttered, while his heart is beating as fast as an Extreme Speed.

"Don't act like you don't know, you dweeb! You know what I'm talking about! It's about Rotom had said earlier. You said that we'll talk about it later. Now is the time! So, what is it that you want to tell or admit to me, Elio? What is it?"

"I guess it's all or nothing now!" he thought. Sighing in defeat, he started, "Fine! I guess you really want to know, huh."

"Let's get it straight, Elio. I don't need any explanations. Just tell it already. What is it? Or I will hit you with my mallet!"

"M-Mallet?! Do anything to me but not that!"

"Okay, now tell it right now!"

"Um... I... I-"

"What?"

"I... I...I-"

"C'mon, or else..."

"Alright, alright! I LIKE YOU! I LIKE YOU!" he blurted out, and quickly covered his mouth in shock.

Selene's eyes widen and taken aback at the sudden confession of Elio. She can't believe that her friend, her crush, liked her back. "He... he likes me, too! I... I can't hold this anymore. I really want to do it so badly!" Clenching her fists and unable to control her emotions, she did the unexpected.

"So, now that my secret is out now, there's no point of hiding it, at least you now know what I truly feel about you. I guess you-mmmph!"

He didn't finish his sentence, as Selene tugged his shirt and crashed her lips onto his, causing his eyes to widen. It happened so fast like a flash of Thunderbolt. He can't believe that he had his first kiss.

His literally first Sweet Kiss.

At first, the neck-length haired Trainer didn't know what to do but later then, he was lost in his own world. He slowly closed his eyes and reciprocated in Return by kissing her back. They both took off their headwear and tossed it onto the floor, ruffling each other's hair.

He found it somewhat comforting, while savoring the taste of Selene's Lovely Kiss. They deepened their kiss more passionately and they both lied down on the bed, with Selene laying on top of him. He wrapped his arms around her waist, embracing her tightly, while Selene cupped his face, pressing further into the kiss. They felt the warmth sensation emanating from all over their bodies, as they continue battling their lips with dominance. Selene glided her tongue out to intrude his mouth, begging for entry, in which he let her explore it. They swirled their tongues wetly into each other's mouths, trying to keep up with the pace. In every kiss they had, they let out small moans that escaped through their mouths that only the two of them can hear. They never want this to end.

After what it seemed like an eternity for them, the two Trainers finally pull apart, both gasping and panting due to lack of air, a trail of their saliva is still connected to their tongues. They stared on each other's grey eyes, with heavy blushes still present on their faces.

Selene, still on top of him, wiped off the saliva with her hand, and the first one to break the silence.

"Why didn't you tell me sooner? I like you too, Elio. I really like you... a lot. Are you afraid that it will wreck our friendship because of this?" she whispered.

"Y-You do? Well, yeah, I was afraid to tell you because I think this will be the end of our friendship if I did it sooner. But since we feel the same, does this mean that... we're a 'thing' now?" he whispered back.

"I guess you can say that, but yeah, we're a 'thing' now." She gently caressed his cheek while muttering, "I love you, Elio." She gave him a peck on the lips.

"I love you, too, Selene." He casts her a smile, stroking her side-swept bangs, as he received another kiss from her.

"Um, Selene, will you get off me now? I can't almost feel my body," he said in a gentler tone.

"Uh... Woah! I'll get off now, I'm sorry!" she panicked, as she get off to Elio.

"It's alright. No need to panic like that," he chuckles, as he stands on his bed. "So, uh, do you want to watch something on TV? Or if you want, we can play some video games on my console. Just to have some fun!"

"Oh, I love to! What games do you have?"

"There's plenty of them on the closet. Choose what game do you like. I'll go get some snacks," Elio said.

"Okay."

Elio went out of the room to get some snacks while Selene searches for the game discs on his closet. As she rummages the closet, her eyes darted on a collection set of his Z-Crystals placed in a box and his Z-Power Ring with a strange yellow Z-Crystal attached to it, both are placed on top of the closet. The most notable feature of it is a design of a shape of lightning bolt crystal above it that looks like a Pikachu tail, and a symbol of a black horizontal lightning bolt in the center of it. Intrigued by it, she examined the strange Z-Crystal.

"What is this? I never seen a Z-Crystal like this before. Where did Elio get this?" she wondered.

She is still examining the strange Z-Crystal, not noticing that Elio entered the room with a tray full of snacks and a pitcher of Pinap Juice.

"Hey, Selene, I got some-" he was stopped when he found her staring and holding his Z-Power Ring.

He put down the tray on his desktop and approached her.

"Um, is something the matter? And why are you holding my Z-Power Ring, Selene?" he asked.

"Oh, I didn't realize you're there. Sorry. I was just wondering about the Z-Crystal attached to your Ring, and I never seen this one before. Where did you get this, Elio?" Selene asked curiously.

"Oh, that? It was given to me by a wild female Pikachu for unknown reasons when I visited the Pikachu Valley a week ago. I also wondered why she gave me that strange Z-Crystal. Looks like a Pikanium Z to me, but it is not. I think there's more to it, not to mention that it is different compared to other Z-Crystals," explained Elio.

"Have you tried using it to a Pikachu? Is Professor Kukui knows about this?" Selene asked again.

"Honestly, the Professor doesn't know about this. Only Rotom and I are the only ones to know about this. Even Rotom does not have a data about this new Z-Crystal. And I tried to use it on my Pikachu, but it didn't work."

"If I remember correctly, your Pikachu's movesets are Thunderbolt, Iron Tail, Quick Attack and Volt Tackle, right?"

"Yeah, but none of those match any of my Pikachu's movesets, and the Z-Crystal is not reacting when I tried the Z-Pose for Pikanium Z and Electrium Z. Maybe it has its own Z-Pose, too. I'm starting to think that since it is a specific-type Z-Crystal, could it mean that there are some undiscovered species of Pikachu lying somewhere?" Elio theorized.

"Hmmm, maybe you're right. But let's talk about it sometime and consult it to the Professor to know more about this. For now, let's play some video games now," the short haired girl said.

"Oh yeah! So, what game did you pick?"

"Um, hehe. Sorry, I was hooked up examining that strange Z-Crystal of yours. Let's see... " Selene went back choosing what game they will play, until she found one. The image cover of a game shows Pikachu using a Thunder Punch against a Lucario trying to block it by using a roundhouse punch with red surging electric effects emanating from its fists. The background of it was a battle stadium and they were fighting inside the arena.

"How about this one, Elio?" she suggested, showing the game cover.

"Hmm, the Pokémon Iron Fist Tournament. Let's play it! That fighting game packs a lot of fun! You'll see!" he exclaimed.

"I can't wait to play it! Let's go!"

Elio turned on his gaming console and inserted the game disc onto the disc reader. He gave one controller to her, and the couple started playing the game while indulging their snacks.

One hour and thirty minutes later...

After they had fun playing video games, the couple prepared themselves to sleep for the night. Elio went to his changing room to change his clothes and wore the new white pajamas that he bought in the Apparel Shop. After he changed clothes, Selene went next, and changed into her light pink pajamas. He lend Selene a mattress for her to use overnight and set it on the floor.

"Um, Selene. I'm gonna switch off the lights now, is it okay with you?"

"That's fine with me, Elio. I don't mind."

"Okay, if you say so."

As he turned off the lights, Elio crawled up to his bed.

"Good night, Selene."

"Good night, Elio."

Elio lied down on his bed. He gazed on the window and saw the light of a full moon sifting throughout his room. He admired the beautiful stars shining everywhere in the middle of the night sky, scattered like a shining Diamond Storm in the skies.

He was about to close his eyes when he felt an arm wrapping on his waist. He turned around and shifted his position to see Selene, cuddling beside her.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to wake you up," she whispered.

"No, that's alright. I'm not sleeping yet. I guess you can't sleep, too?" the former Champion said.

Selene only nodded, as she snuggled closer to him.

"Mind if I sleep beside you?"

"Sure. No problem with that," he nodded. He also wrapped his arm on her waist, gently moving himself closer to her.

The two of them locked their eyes with each other, admiring the beauty of their facial features that can only be seen by a Moonlight passing through the room.

"She's beautiful, her face is like a moon shines through the night."

"He's pretty handsome, just like a sun that outshines everything."

"Elio, be honest with me, am I your first crush?" she asked.

"Uh, well... not really. I'll have to admit, I had a crush on Lillie when I first saw her way back at the Mahalo Trail, but that's that. I mean, I saved her a lot of times and keep Nebby safe."

"Oh yeah, you two are rather close to each other with more than just friends. I've always seen her blushing whenever you said something good," she said with a tone of sarcasm on her voice.

"Oh, jealous are we?" he smirked, in which Selene casts him a Glare.

"I-I'm not jealous, you dweeb!" she pouted in denial.

"Then, why are you acting like that?"

"Well... I... " But she was lost at words, not knowing what to say to him, until she sighed in defeat. "Alright, fine! I'm jealous, alright? You're happy now?"

"I had no idea you were jealous at us," he chuckled, before continuing. "I know Lillie was harbouring some feelings for me, and I was right. One day, she confessed her feelings for me. I don't want her to get hurt at the end, so I made a decision. Luckily, after we talked in good terms, we're still friends after all and she understands that my heart belongs to someone else."

They continued to talk about their past journeys for a few minutes until they became silent. Elio looked on the bright full moon again on his window that shines upon them.

"The moon is beautiful, isn't it?" Elio said.

"Yeah, sure is," his girlfriend agreed.

"That's not what I meant, Selene. I wasn't referring to the moon," he said.

Puzzled, Selene asked, "What do you mean by that? What are you-" She paused for a second, before knowing what Elio is implying. "Wait. Is this another one of your metaphoric phrases? I told you I'm bad at that. What are you trying to say, Elio?"

The former Champion, still looking at the bright full moon, explained what that phrase mean. "'The moon is beautiful, isn't it?'- an old metaphoric expression/phrase used in ancient times to express affection towards someone. In other words... " He turned to face Selene with a gleam on his eyes. "...it means 'I love you', Selene."

Selene just stared him in awe. Blushing furiously, her heart was melting after hearing her boyfriend's romantic phrase. Out of the blue, she leaned her face forward to touch his lips onto hers. She gently caressed his cheek after she kissed him.

"Elio, ever since you came into my life, you are my shining sun that lighten up not only my world, but my heart as well. I love you, my dearest shining sun."

"Selene, you are my beautiful moon that gave me a ray of hope into my heart and soul. I love you, my dearest beautiful moon."

After expressing their emotions, they both kissed passionately again and their minds were drifted off in a paradise in their own world.

A few minutes later, they pulled apart from their make out session and cuddled each other.

"It's getting late now, Selene. We should get to sleep now. Good night." He gave her a peck on her forehead.

"Yeah, good night too, Elio." She hugged him tighter and buried her head on his chest.

A new found blossoming relationship was formed and tomorrow is a new day for them to start their life as a couple. What they didn't know that there was a new journey awaits them in the future. A journey that will change everything as they continue to achieve their dreams into the palm of their hands. With Pokémon by their side, they will continue to pursue their dreams of becoming the very best Trainers in the Pokémon world.

"The sun and moon will share their powers to the sword and shield to put an end to the black night once and for all."

Hi.

So this is my first time writing a fic. I rarely seen Elio/Sun being paired with Selene/Moon, so I decided to write one.

I think this is a bit too long for a one-shot, don't you think? I hope you all enjoyed reading this. Is it good? Is it bad? Let me know what you think of this in the reviews.

I'm planning to make one or two extra chapters for this story, so look out for that!

Until next time!
