''What happened?''
Brittany turns to her sister and sighs. ''I will tell you about it after school.'' She turns to look at the time and smiles slightly. ''Glee will be over in five minutes sis.''
Emily frowns in concern and sighs. ''Where?''
''I will go to Puck, meet me there in Twenty?''
''Can..'' Brittany chuckles covering her sisters mouth with her hand and leans down kissing her forehead.
''Yes she can come with you, no matter who you bring they are welcome you know that.'' She slides off of the piano and turns to Will after hugging her sister. ''See you soon Will.''
''I am sure we will Brittany, it was nice to see you again.''
Brittany nods her head and walks out of the choir room after saying goodbye to the students, she walks out of the school reaching into the side pocket of her bag and takes a painkiller the doctor gave her.
She slides into the cab she called and gives them the address of her old apartment she left to Puck after she joined the army, she leans back against the seat trying to stretch her leg for a bit and groans softly. ''God dammit.''
After five minutes she reaches into her pocket as the driver stops the car and holds out the money, she slides out of the car after thanking him and walks up to the apartment. She knocks on the door covering the peephole as she hears Puck yelling and chuckles softly, she drops her bag as she hears him grumble muttering something under his breath and smirks as the door flies open.
''Who the fu…''
She laughs as he stops mid sentence and smiles. ''Hey Puck.''
''Britt!'' He squeals out smiling brightly tackling her in a hug, Brittany grunts feeling the added weight on her leg and quickly wraps her arms around his shoulders as she feels them stumble.
''Fuck!''
Puck frowns immediately lifting her up as he notices her losing her balance and looks up at her. ''You okay?''
''Will be.'' Brittany gasps out as pain shoots through her knee, she taps his back silently telling him to put her down and leans against the wall dropping her head to breath through the pain.
''Wow, I never heard my brother squeal before.''
Brittany's head snaps up as she hears Jake voice and chuckles as she sees her sister, Jake, Quinn and Santana standing at the top of the stairs, she quickly straightens up as she sees her sisters concerned frown and smiles reassuringly. ''Hey kids.''
Puck blushes rubbing the back of his head and points at his little brother. ''Never mention that again!''
Brittany laughs reaching down to grab her bag again and runs her hand over Puck's Mohawk. ''I always get him to squeal, you will hear it often now little Puckerman.''
Puck rolls his eyes and slaps her hand away. ''Shut up Britt.'' He opens the door of the apartment wider and smiles. ''Come on in.''
Brittany walks inside and looks around chuckling as she sees that it's exactly the same before she left Puck in it. ''Damn you didn't change a thing.''
Puck shakes his head dropping down on the couch and smiles. ''Nope I love how you decorated everything and the teens are over quite often.''
''It gave me the feeling of you being near us.'' Emily murmurs softly as she sits down beside her sister on the couch, Brittany smiles scooting over pulling her sister with her and reaches over patting the spot beside them looking up at the girls.
She turns to Jake as Santana and Quinn sit down next to them and nods her head to Puck's gaming chair. ''You can sit in your brothers chair.''
Puck turns to his best friend after his brother sat down and smiles brightly. ''How long will you be here B?''
Brittany turns to him running her hand through her sisters hair and smiles. ''I am back for good.''
''For real?!''
She jumps as her sister and Puck both yell and rubs her ear. ''Damn inside voices please!'' She throws the girls a fake glare as they snicker and shakes her head as they just smile, she turns to her sister and nods her head. ''Yes for real.''
''But why? I thought you loved serving.'' Puck exclaims frowning, he raises an eyebrow as he sees the unfamiliar glint in his best friends eyes and slowly stands up sighing. ''I sense a difficult story coming up, I will grab us something to drink.''
Brittany nods her head and turns to her sister smiling as she sees her playing with Quinn's hand in her lap. ''How long are the two of you dating?''
'' Almost a year and a half now.'' Quinn answers smiling slightly, Brittany turns to her sister and raises an eyebrow.
Emily nods her head and sighs. '' Yes they know and they are okay with it as long as I meet up with Quinn away from the houe.''
Brittany rolls her eyes and sighs. ''Why doesn't that surprise me.'' She mentions her hand around the apartment and chuckles. ''So this is your meet up spot?''
''Sometimes yes, we mostly hang out around here with Jake, Puck and Santana.''
''What about Dani?'' Brittany asks curiously, Emily shakes her head and sighs.
''Nah she hates hanging out with us.'' She squeezes her sisters hand as she sees her opening her mouth to fire out another question and shakes her head. ' Later' She mouths.
Brittany nods her head and turns her head as Puck walks back into the living room, she takes a can of coke out of his hand and thanks him softly, Puck sits down next to his little brother and turns to his best friend raising an eyebrow. ''Talk.''
Brittany rolls her eyes taking a sip of her coke and sighs. ''They honorably discharged me.''
''Honorably is good right?'' Puck questions, Brittany nods her head and sighs.
''Yeah that means that my service was great.''
'' Why did you get discharged though?'' Emily asks frowning in confusion, Brittany drops her head looking down at her hands and sighs.
''Because I got shot.'' She mutters softly.
''What was that B?'' Puck asks as he notices the younger Pierce look at her sister in confusion, Brittany looks up biting her lip and sighs.
''Because I got shot and badly injured during a mission.''
''You what?!'' Emily and Puck yell in unison as Jake, Quinn and Santana gasp.
Brittany jumps hissing as she bumps her knee against the table and quickly grabs it. ''Son of a!''
Quinn immediately grabs her girlfriend pulling her in her arms and shushes her. ''Babe, don't scare her like that.''
''Yeah bro, don't make her jump.'' Jake says trying to calm his brother down, Brittany looks up still holding her knee and gulps.
''Some bastard shot me and shattered my knee cap, they operated me and set everything straight with pins and screws but the function of my right leg is down to seventy percent with a lot of pain so Army is out of question.'' She closes her eyes swallowing away the pain as she hears everyone gasp softly and shrugs. ''Same goes for dancing, that is why I didn't show you all that I can dance because I can't anymore.''
''Fuck B.'' Puck murmurs shocked, Emily turns to her sister and bites her lip.
''It's that bad?''
Brittany slowly nods her head and sighs. ''They told me I got lucky though, if that bullet hit my hip it could have been worse.''
''Shit sis.'' Emily mutters tears filling her eyes, Brittany shakes her head and smiles.
''Hey I am okay, I can live with a bit of pain every day.'' She glances at her best friend and smiles sheepishly. '' Just remind me to train my muscles, they told me that if I continue training the muscles can strengthen but they forbade me to continue with the army.''
''You have painkillers?'' Puck asks, Brittany nods her head and sighs.
''Yeah but I only take them when I really need them.'' She turns to her sister pulling her in her arms as she sees silent tears run down her cheeks and kisses the top of her head. ''I am okay Em, really.''
''Are you staying in Lima?'' Jake asks smiling, Brittany nods her head and sighs.
''Yeah I will stay right here.'' She turns to Puck and winks. ''Think we can share the apartment again Puck?''
Puck nods his head and smiles brightly. ''Hell yes! Your room is still the same.''
''Wait the two of you lived together?'' Santana asks smiling, she points in between them and raises an eyebrow. ''Are you…''
''Hell no.'' Brittany exclaims cutting her off, Puck laughs and shakes his head.
''Yeah no, never happened and it will never happen San.''
Emily turns to her best friend and laughs. ''B is the alpha gay San.''
''What is that supposed to mean?'' Brittany asks laughing, Emily turns to her sister and smirks.
''Exactly what it means, if the LGBT community calls out a leader it would be you.''
Puck burst out laughing as he sees his best friends face and stands up patting her shoulder. ''Your sister is right B.'' He leans down hugging her and kisses her cheek. ''I am glad you are back.''
''I am glad to be back Puck.'' Brittany murmurs softly jumping slightly as a cellphone rings, Puck nods his head sitting back down beside his brother and looks at the teens after Santana excused herself to answer her phone.
''You all want to stay for dinner and a movie?''
''Can we?'' Emily asks smiling slightly, Brittany nods her head and smiles.
''Of course you can Em.'' She leans forward looking at Quinn and smiles. ''You and Santana are more than welcome to stay too.''
''I will take a rain check on that one, I gotta go.'' Santana says as she walks into the living room grabbing her jacket, Brittany glances at Puck as she hears the slight hint of tears in her voice and frowns.
Puck shrugs his shoulders glancing at his best friend and hugs Santana as she says goodbye, Brittany smiles shaking her hand nodding her head as Santana softly tells her that it was nice to meet her and watches her walk out of the living room.
''That fucking bitch.'' Quinn murmurs shaking her head as she hears the front door slam shut, Brittany turns to her and frowns as she watches her jump up walking out onto the living room Emily quickly following to calm her down.
''Okay what the hell is going on?'' She asks confused, Puck turns to Jake and raises an eyebrow.
Jake shakes his head and raises his hands. ''It's not my place to tell.'' Brittany nods her head sighing softly and slowly pushes herself up in a standing position, she walks over to the door leading to the balcony and knocks on it before walking out.
''Hey girls, you okay?''
Emily slowly nods her head and sighs softly. ''We will be sis.''
''What's going on?'' Brittany asks frowning as she sees the anger still clearly written on Quinn's face, Emily sighs exchanging a glance with her girlfriend and turns to her sister.
''Dani hates it when Santana hangs out with us.''
''Why?'' Brittany asks raising an eyebrow.
''Because she is a bitch.'' Quinn mutters rolling her eyes, she runs a hand through her hair as she sees her girlfriends sister look at them in confusion and sighs.
''Dani started dating Santana almost a year ago and in the beginning everything was alright until it suddenly wasn't, we both noticed Santana pulling away from us and confronted her with it.''
Emily intertwines her hand with her girlfriends as she hears the anger building in her voice and sighs sadly. ''Dani is quite controlling and told San that she can't hang out with us because Dani if jealous of our relationship.''
''The fuck?'' Brittany asks surprised.
''We promised Santana to keep it for us but you are Em's big sister so I think we can tell you.''
''Tell me what?''
''Dani is aggressive and whenever Santana.'' Emily lifts her hands air quoting herself and sighs sadly. ''Misbehaves' she gets punished, aside from Dani her parents are also fucked up and yeah her life really sucks.''
''Nothing you can change?'' Brittany asks frowning, Quinn shakes her head and sighs.
''Santana is too scared to take action and begged us to not do anything because she is scared for the consequences.''
Brittany runs a hand through her hair and sighs softly. ''Well fuck.'' She looks at both girls and breaths out a sigh. ''Look I can't promise anything, but I will look what I can do to get Dani to back off.''
''She won't we already tried and right after Santana almost landed in the hospital because of us, please don't do anything sis.'' Emily murmurs sighing sadly.
Brittany sighs dropping her head and nods her head. ''Alright but if I see something happen I won't just stand there and watch.''
''We understand but Dani is sneaky and manages to hide it well.'' Quinn says sighing, Brittany shakes her head and smirks.
''Everyone makes mistakes and I will make sure I see something, I still have a few friends at the force so they will have my back as soon as I notice something.''
''You are friends with the Lima cops?'' Quinn asks surprised, Brittany nods her head and chuckles.
''Yeah Puck and I both have, things like that happen when you are often at the station during your teenager years and they are happy to see us throw our lives around and make something out of it.''
Emily laughs and shakes her head. ''Only you would make friends with people who arrested you for god knows what sis.''
''Hey they never arrested me, they just gave some warnings and I had to bail Puck out once even though what happened wasn't his fault.''
''I sense a hilarious story coming up.'' Quinn mutters snickering, Brittany nods her head and smiles as she hears the doorbell ring.
''Yeah but that will be one for next time, let's eat some dinner and I will try to come up with a plan to help Santana out.''
''Sis please don't, we don't want Santana to get hurt.'' Emily murmurs concerned for her best friend, Brittany pulls her in her arms and kisses the top of her head.
''I will promise the both of you that nothing will happen to her alright?'' She pulls back and raises an eyebrow. ''Why don't her parents do something though.''
''Because they are just as bad.'' Quinn murmurs sadly, Brittany drops her head and sighs.
''Alright no need to say more.'' She bites her lip and shakes her head. ''Fuck.'' She looks at both girls and sighs. ''Look I will try to talk to Santana first and ask her if she has a plan, Figgins offered me a tutoring job until I found something better so I will be around more.''
''Which subject will you tutor?'' Quinn asks curiously.
''Arts and English.''
''You will probably spend more time with San, she sucks at Arts and her teacher convinced her today to take tutoring.''
Brittany chuckles and smiles. ''Perfect.'' She turns her head as she hears a knock on the balcony door and nods her head as she sees Puck holding up a pizza box. ''Alright let's eat dinner.''
