Brittany grunts softly as she feels a hand slapping her cheek pulling her out of her dream and tries moving away from it. ''Go away Puckerman.''
''B!'' Her eyes shoot open as Bella's tearful small voice reaches her ears and turns to look at her sitting up as she sees the tears in her tired blue eyes.
''What's wrong sweetie?'' She asks softly, she picks her up as she lifts her arms and runs her hand down her back as she snuggles into her sniffling.
''Mami.''
Brittany frowns looking around for Santana and sits up as she hears groaning and crying coming out of her bedroom, she kisses the top of Bella's head and looks around biting her lip as she sees Puck asleep in his room with his door open. ''Do you want to go to Puck while I go look at your mami?''
She slowly stands up hissing as her stiff leg protests and slowly shakes it out, she walks into Puck's room and shakes him awake. ''Noah can you watch her for a second?''
Puck wakes up with a start looking up at his best friend and frowns in confusion as he sees her standing by her bed moving her injured leg with a grimace holding Bella in a secure hold, he tiredly nods his head moving over and groans. ''What's wrong?''
''Santana has a nightmare.'' Brittany murmurs softly placing Bella on the bed beside him and places a pillow behind her back.
''No!''
She whips around as she hears Santana's panicked yell and quickly jogs out of Puck's room ignoring the pain, she walks into her own bedroom and walks over to the bed as she sees the girl in her bed look around with tears streaming down her cheeks. ''It's okay San, Bella is with Puck.'' She says softly stopping by her bedside.
Santana stops looking around for her daughter as Brittany's calming voice reaches her ears and quickly covers her face with her hands as she burst into tears, Brittany sits down beside her slowly reaching out to rub her leg and bites her lip as she flinches away from her whimpering through her tears. ''Hey it's me, you are safe San.''
Santana keeps her face buried in her hands while she sobs and sniffles. ''It felt so fucking real.'' She forces out through her sobs.
Brittany frowns slowly moving to lean against the headboard keeping her distance and turns to look at her. ''Want to talk about it?''
Santana sniffles keeping her face hidden and shrugs. ''Same dream every fucking day, Dani assaulting me but also hurting Bella.''
''Want me to get her?'' Brittany asks softly, Santana shakes her head and sniffles.
''I don't want her to see me like this, she already sees and hears enough.''
Brittany bites her lip and runs a hand through her hair. ''Bella is safe with Puck, San I will make sure nothing happens to her. How long do you have this dreams?''
''Since the day I met Dani.'' Santana whispers fearfully, she shakes her head and sniffles. ''Nothing happened yet but only because I jumped in front of Bella every time Dani was pissed, I accepted every damn blow of her rage and pushed her away making her turn her focus and made her leave the room to chase me and to leave my daughter alone.''
''She tried to hurt Bella?'' Brittany asks anger filling her voice, she shakes her head biting back a growl trying not to scare Santana as she nods her head still keeping her face hidden and gulps. ''I will get you out of there as soon as possible Santana, I don't fucking care about the possibility of your parents suing me or Dani going off at me as long as I know that you and Bella are safe.''
Santana shakes her head and bites back a sob. ''You can't Brittany my dad is one of the best lawyers and he will bring you to jail I don't want that to happen, Dani's dad is his partner and he will make up a story so you will get all the blame! I will survive the next eight months and will move far away from this hell hole with Bella.''
''I don't care about any of that Santana as long as you and Bella are safe, I won't let you go back to them.''
''I have to, I don't want to be the reason my best friends sister is in jail.'' Santana murmurs tearfully, she slowly turns to look at Brittany biting her lip as she sees the rage burning in her normally bright blue eyes and gulps. ''I need to go back after school today, officer John didn't message me yet so it looks like Dani is still at the station. I only have to deal with my parents.''
She wipes away her tears looking at the time and sniffles. ''I need to get going, I need to bring Bella to pre-K and go to school myself.'' She slides out of bed ignoring Brittany's concerned gaze as she winces and runs a hand through her hair. ''I don't know how to thank you for everything you did yesterday Brittany.'' She murmurs softly, she walks around the bed and slowly leans down kissing her cheek. ''Thank you for making sure my baby girl and I were safe and letting us stay over.''
Brittany bites her lip noticing Santana pull away and putting her guards up to survive the day and sighs softly. ''No need to thank me Santana, you are more than welcome to stay over every time you want.''
Santana nods her head walking out of the bedroom after slipping her shoes on and walks into Puck's room smiling as she sees him watching cartoons with Bella cuddles into a pillow by his side, she leans down picking her up and smiles sadly as Puck turns to look at her in concern. ''Thank you for last night Puck, see you soon.''
Puck nods his head frowning in concern as he notices the walls she put up and sighs reaching out to squeeze her hand. ''Any time San, call us if you need us okay?''
''I will.'' Santana murmurs softly, she turns around kissing her daughters head as she cuddles into her and closes her eyes trying to lock every emotion away and sighs softly. ''Say bye, mija.''
Bella lifts her head looking over her mami's shoulder and waves at Brittany and Puck. ''Bye!''
Brittany smiles lovingly waving her fingers and sighs softly. ''See you soon, little B.''
''Bye, little B!'' Puck calls out from his room slowly standing up to talk to his best friend, Santana walks out of the apartment rubbing her daughters back as she cuddles into her and smiles lovingly as she glances up at her.
''Ready to play with your friends mija?'' She asks as she jogs down the stairs, she chuckles as she excitedly nods her head and places her down as soon as she walked out of the apartment building.
She takes a hold of her hand walking down the boardwalk to her daughters pre-K just around the corner thanking god Brittany's apartment is not that far away from both of their schools and squeezes her daughters hand softly. ''Judy will pick you up tonight mija, you want to have a sleepover with Tia Q?''
''Wif Tia E too?'' Bella asks cutely looking up at her mami, Santana nods her head and smiles lovingly.
''I am sure Tia E will be there too mija.''
''B?''
Santana smiles sadly and shakes her head. ''B won't be there mija, but we will visit her soon okay?''
''Otay mami!'' Bella squeaks out smiling brightly, Santana smiles walking into the building and crouches down in front of her daughter as soon as she led her into the room.
''Be good mija, te amo.''
''Amo mami!'' Bella squeaks out wrapping her little arms around her shoulders squeezing as hard as her little arms can, Santana pushes back her tears kissing her daughters head and hums softly.
''See you tonight mi amor.'' She stands back up waving at her daughters teacher and walks out of the room, she quickly wipes away the tears that managed to escape her eyes and pulls out her phone as she jogs out of the building shooting Judy a text.
Good morning Judy, would it be alright if Bella stayed with you tonight? I will probably pick her up late but I have some things to do before that. Love San.
She jogs down the street towards her school knowing she will be late and sniffles slowly shaking her head as thoughts flood her mind.
They will kick my ass the second they find out what happened with Dani. She glances behind her at the building of her daughters pre-K and sniffles. I will protect you mi amor, you will be safe.
