"Ummm, Lei you okay, you're rubbing your ears a lot just like uncle Kevin?" Riley asked.
It was a few hours later after everything had happened, along with Riley getting busted by her mm, along with heruncle, Chomper getting busted by her mom about ditching school a lot, so had snuck over to Lei's house while her mom was doing regal things with her grandma which surprised Lei who had done her homework knowing her cousin was asking for more trouble, after letting her into her massive room.
"I'm fine which you won't be, if your mom finds out, you snuck out." Lei told her, making the female purple minion pup roll her eyeat her cousin, stating that purple minions were percieved as troublemakers anyway, so she was just rolling with it, which made Lei sigh, seeimg Dave and Kevin there surprised that their sweet little pup had sore ears, besides Riley playing Lei's uke like an electric guitar seeing Kevin grab it from her, because she was making Lei's ears worse.
"We just phoned your moms, Riley, so go home, alright?" he said baring his fangs making her gulp, leaving.
"Thanks daddy, as she's been acting weird lately, you know?" Lei told him and Dave making them get it.
"She's just going through a phase, it'll pass but let's get you checked out." Dave told her.
She nodded in reply as Kevin was phoning their doctor, Dr June who was very good with them, like her human patients, taking their pup to her house, knowing their doctor was Pricat's adoptive mother, plus Dave noticed Kevin rubbing his ears like their pup, guessing his ears were sore too huggimg him making Jund understand, after checkimg Lei's ears, saying she had ear bugs like Kevin, makimg Kevin frown, while she was checking him out.
"Yep, his are also sore, good thimg you noticed, but that's a good ghing." June said to Dave making him relieved.
After prescribing antibotics and eardrops, they were leaving, plus Dave would go to the drugstore i the morning, as they went home, making Lei guess that Riley was in major trouble for sneaking out with her moms making Dave and Kevin agree.
"You okay, how's the ears?" Dave asked Kevin and Lei.
"They're pretty sore, you know?" Lei answered seeing Kevin agree.
Later that next morning which happened to be Saturday, Lei was pretty tired from last night so was sleeping in like her dads, ignoring her phone as Riley and Sora were texting her but she would see them later at Gru's house, hopimg Riley would not pull anything, because she was not in the mood, knowing Pricat was not amused with her pup's behaviour and worridd about her, even though Chomper and Kari had assured her, Riley was just acting out.
She heard the door opening softly, as it was Dave bringing her pancakes, making her smile sitting up, thanking him makimg Dave smile because he cared about her and Kevin a lot, leaving her be going to join Kevin in the downstairs living room who were watching Netflix while eating breakfast along with drinking decaff coffee since normal coffee made them hyper, especially Kevin and Lei knowing that they were going to Gru's lAyer.
At Gru's house, Sora noticed that Lei was tired, guessing she had been up all night just like her dads, plus she noticed that Riley was not with Chomper or her mom and aunt Kari guessing she was grounded after last night, seeing Pricat say that Riley was with June and Lara making the yellow-furred minion female understand, hopimg that it might help Riley calm down.
"Yep, as Pri is worried that Riley might end up in jail, when she is older." Chomper said to her.
"That's true, but maybe it's just a front, you know?" Dave told him.
"Maybe, as she's been weird, since they started school." Pricat admitted, makimg both minion males wonder what she meant, hearing her describe, making them guess, that Riley was feeling insecure compared to Lei and Sora, making Dave and Kevin wonder what she was going to do.
"Home-school her as she is very sweet and herself, when not at school." she replied stunning Sora knowing Riley would be mad at her mom and Kari, hopimg Chomper would stop this, seeing said purple minion male with Edith Segway racing makimg Lei and Sora exchange a look hoping that Riley was alright with her human grandma and cousin.
After getting back to their place,Lei was texting Riley, hearing her say that she was going to be home-schooled, and sorry for how she had been acting rscent.y yet her mom said they could still hang out, after her work was done, relieving Lei because she thought being home-schooled, Riley could not hang out, with her and Sora, while eating a lot of cupcakes, to help her belly grow.
"That's good that we can still hang out, because Sora and I were worrying we could not hang out." she said softly to herself puttimg her phone down, making Dave and Kevin smile, finding the frosting on her purple-furred cheeks adorable making her grin hoping she was starting to get cute like her dads.
"Zweetie, gettimg cute and chubby takes time, alright?" Kevin said to her wearimg an extra-large set of pyjamas, seeing Dave noddimg in agreement with him, guessing last night along with what had happened today had made their pup stress-eat hugging her which made Lei feel better saying that Riley would still be her and Sora's friend, despite being home-schooled.
"That's good sweetie, as we were worried too." Kevin said to her.
