Chapter 2:

Yes I do. He's my dad. That's what I told Touka that day. The look on her face was.. how do I explain it? Well... it wasn't pleasing to say the least.

"Are you sure that he's your dad?"
"Yes I am. He left when I was only 5 but I saw pictures of him around the house. My mom also left when I was 5 so I grew up alone."
"Wait... what did your mom look like?"

"She had purple hair and brown eyes, but I always saw them as blue. But when ever she was angry her eyes would turn this red color and then bam!, something was thrown."

"Was she married to Kaneki?"

"Yes. Why?"

"I'm so sorry son!"

She ran up to me and gave me a hug, but I didn't know how to respond at all. The only thing going through my mind was that she was my mom, and she left me for this place, and why did she not recognize me from when she met me. Why, Why, Why.

"Why would you leave me all alone?! Why mom, why. Why the fuck would you and dad leave a five year old child on his own with no way to support himself?! Hu, WHY THE FUCK WOULD YOU JUST LEAVE ME YOU PIECE OF SHIT!?"

I quickly ran out of her arms and out the front door and ran back home. Then "It" happened.

I was running, faster then I ever had before. I had heard on tv one day that ghouls, when ever their really mad, that they can run as fast as 60 mph. I don't think that I was close to that. It felt like I had topped over 60 miles or faster.

I was running then I bumped into a girl. When they fell they got scraped and started to bleed. The smell of the blood made one of my eyes turn red. I went to go help her up she saw my eye and freaked out. She started screaming and called the CCG. They quickly came to her.

They asked her which way I had went she pointed towards my house, so I went into an alleyway instead.

The CCG split up, and one group split into two groups, so now I had more people to run from.

The CCG then had someone go into the alley that I went into. I started to run, and then they saw me.

I quickly started to run faster and so did they. They guy chasing me, I believe his name was Amon Koutarou.

He started to shout at me "Stop where you are ghoul, and we wont kill you on sight."

I just ignored him and started running again.

"Fine," he said. He then pulled out his quinque.- A quinque is a type of weapon made from a ghouls Kagune-

His quinque was a bright green that almost looked like a crystal. But it looked more like glass to me.

He charged at me, but I didn't know how to fight, so I just curled up into a ball, and then that's when she came.

"Mom!"

"Are you alright Ren?"
"Yeah, I'm fine."

"Ok. I need you to listen to me ok. You may not like me for what I did, but I swear, I will explain everything to you, if we make it out of this alive."

I nodded at her out of agreement.

"Ok, Ren, you need to activate your kagune, ok?"

"What?! But I don't know how to do that."

"That's ok. All you need to do is to make... just try to make it happen ok, and that should work."

"What? That is the worst explanation someone can ever give you. Don't you have any better advice?"

"Well, maybe if you see me almost killed it will trigger it."

"What? DON'T EVER TALK LIKE THAT AGAIN OK!"

When she said that, it made my rage go up and activate my kagune, so I'm thinking that was her plan all along.

"Alright, now we can kick their ass'. Now son, don't fuck this up, ok?"

"Ight. I'll try not to. I've never been in a fight, so, if I do mess up, then, don't blame me, ok?"

"Fine. Now charge!"
