Chapter 8

It became a hell on earth.

No matter what they did, what they tried, they couldn't stop him. Let alone land a single hit on Suiryu as he laughed aloud as he destroyed building after building. "COME ON, I THOUGHT YOU WERE JUJUTSU SORCERERS!" he cackled aloud.

His arms slashed, the main building was being attacked now. People were screaming aloud as the brick and mortar exploded all over the school. The smell of blood soon followed as the bodies began to pile up around them. "We have to do something! Why the hell is he doing this?! WHY!" shouted Momo. She had attempted to land wind slash after wind slash with her broom but to not avail, he deflected it with ease.

Todo didn't know the reasoning either, but he still had to try and stop Suiryu's carnage!

He toyed with them so easily.

No matter the attack, the strike or even attempt to work together to land a single hit, no one was able to do it. The school was turned to nothing but shambles and fire. People lay dead under the debris, as the fire slowly consumed the world around them.

Suiryu paused to marvel at his work, before he turned to everyone else. They were broken down, battered and bloodied. He gave a curious look to them. "So, this is how you would fair huh? Granted, the lot of you would have been dead the moment I got here so…" he muttered.

"What… why did you do this?" wept Kasumi. "Why…"

He peered down at her. "To show you how weak you are, and how much stronger you need to be…" he snapped his fingers.

Suddenly, everyone jolted and sat up off the ground! Looking about, nothing was destroyed. Suiryu stood before them and yet shook his head. "Okay so we need to get started right away…"

"What, what the hell was all of that?!" demanded Kamo.

"An illusion," he said rather plainly. "I manipulated the event in your mind, but the battle we had was what would have happened… if I didn't kill you from the get go."

"He could have too…" muttered Todo. "So why are you here?"

"Merely returning the favor that you, yourself have given my brother,"

Principal Yoshinobu froze as he double checked the school and saw nothing was destroyed nor lives lost. "You fail to see old man, that your best chances for their survival lies in me. I am not doing this out of the kindness of my heart to say the least. But your students got to step up if they are going to be of any help to us."

"Help? Help for what?" asked Kamo.

Suiryu paused as he turned his glare to Yoshinobu. "You haven't told them yet?" he demanded. "You are a greater fool than you look!"

"Suiryu, what are you talking about?" Todo asked.

He sighed aloud and started to explain to them of Sukuna's fifth hand, also known as Yubi-kotsu. They are sorcerers from back when Sukuna was reaching his panicle of power and were looking to become his disciples. He refused them all and joked that if they had a thousand years to cultivate, they could perhaps be his equal. "There is no record of them, but I got it all in here," he said and pointed to his head. "I got all of Sukuna's memories too, well… most of them. Somehow some have become blocked to me… anyway, the fifth hand… we are going to be going up against them, because guess how much time has passed since their faithful encounter with the King of Curses?"

"The fifth hand…" whispered Mia. "What does that have to do with us?"

"Everything," Suiryu stated. "My brother is going to be going up against great odds, and I don't want him to deal with dead weight like yourselves, he can't worry about everyone around him. So, I am taking it upon myself to make certain that those he cares about, can hold their own without him babysitting your sorry asses!" he stated rather coldly. "With that being said, what you just went through… wasn't even my full power… hell, I could have beaten you all in my sleep!" he laughed.

Todo sneered at the notion, but he began to understand and see where he was coming from. After all, he's looking after his brother too. "So what do you suggest?"

"Aoi!" hissed Yoshinobu.

"So you don't quite have time to prepare, randomly, I will come here and give you a test, it's the same one I use back in Tokyo on the others…"

"Wait, you're teaching there!?" demanded Yoshinobu.

"After my demonstration of being a capable teacher, yes," he replied. "Now then, these lessons need to be given to you as well to get your strength up. Again, we don't want dead weight for what is to come. You will ALL have to be capable of taking out at least three special grade curses on your own. Not many of you can to say the least."

"What do you know?" demanded Yoshinobu.

Suiryu smirked. "Oh, so NOW you'll listen? Well that's the thing, I am not going to say another word of this until I get your students stronger," he said rather proudly and bore a smug look on his face. "If you thought the battles of the past were tough, they are nothing compared to what is to come."

Worry began to etch on their faces, with that Suiryu arms cross over each other as he bent his hands back, making a diamond shape gesture. "Personal domain, summit!"

Everyone in the area were drawn in. They looked about but saw nothing more than a mountain behind them. "What the hell…" whispered Todo.

"This is my test for you all. Pass it, and I will leave you be. Fail… and it is Suiryu Sensei from this moment on." He stated. "Now then, the task, the mountain itself has many levels, your goal is to get to the first safe point on the mountain at the foot. But you won't reach that far."

"What?" demanded Momo.

He merely shrugged his shoulders to them. "Prove me wrong," he simply stated. "If it's easy, go and get it already,"

The challenge was accepted, Todo turned to the others and nodded. With that, they turned their sights to the mountain and rushed at it with everything they had!

Suiryu was grinning from ear to ear as he watched them run blindly towards the foothills. He saw the look of concern on Principal Yoshinobu's face. But he only smiled to him as he counted down on his fingers.

The domain suddenly vanished, they returned to outside of the school, yet the students were in rough shape! "Ow… what the hell!" hissed Kamo.

"I was just in the air when suddenly… out of nowhere…" muttered Momo.

"What was that?!" Todo demanded.

Suiryu's smile grew as he leaned down to everyone. "What you just witnessed was the foothills of my test… you didn't even make it to the mountain." He said and began to put his dragon ear cuff back on, the necklace followed as it hid his curse marks. "Now, I'll be back. Take into consideration what happened today when you had your first run, and try again. When you reach the safe point, you will face me. However to be fair I won't be at my full strength." He stated. "Now, the rest is up to you. What do you want to do next? How will you change your plan of attack… also, I won't be taking no for an answer if you refuse to participate, I will personally drag you to the lesson myself."

"Don't listen to him! We don't accept your help here!" Yoshinobu shouted. "Why should we believe anything…"

He suddenly reached into his pocket and tossed something towards Yoshinobu.

No one moved.

They stared down at the severed finger, but there was confusion. "Wait, this isn't…"

"No, which is why it should be all the more concerning to you. This is from one of the members of Yubi-Kotsu. They figured out they can make a false special grade curse object using their own fingers and transfiguration. I have already tested the finger on a curse, the moment it is consumed, it achieves special rank statues and becomes a finger bearer curse."

Suiryu saw the look on the old man's face wither away with concern. He had no idea these things were around. "And you know that ain't mine… or Yuuji's finger either, the decay of that is five years old."

"Oh God…" whispered Mia.

"Now then, I'll return, as such I want no excuses as to why you are late, or why you refuse to learn from me. I am no longer taking no for an answer from any of you."

Suiryu was quick to retrieve the finger before he headed back to Tokyo. He wonders though how Yuuji's talk with Ryujin went…
