Chapter 25
"They are making a move,"
Suiryu returned with somber news. The brothers froze as Yuuji listened closely. "The village they took out was located in the remote regions, they also took out those who were investigating the area. The thing is this, I don't think where they attacked is going to be our battle destination. As well, there are other instances coming up, one is far north from here… it's a trap for Gojo." He stated.
"A trap?" Yuuji whispered.
"Similar to the Shibuya incident, same principal as they are using now, isolate Gojo, take him out of battle, then the rest falls into place… at least that's what they assume. They are going to try and systematically take out the schools since they believe that with Satoru gone, everyone else is a sitting duck."
Suiryu began to pace about a little, going over in his mind a proper plan and procedure. Yuuji knew that look too, he had it before when he wanted to teach and was carefully considering his options and methods on going about it. "Suiryu, do we know how many we are up against? Who is doing this? Which member?" he asked.
He appeared to try to think, but then suddenly, he looked uncomfortable. He held his head oddly until he let out a painful scream! "AAAHHHHHH!"
"SUIRYU!"
He was brought to his knees, but froze. "No… I can't…" he whispered.
"Suiryu, Suiryu what's wrong?!" Yuuji asked with worry.
"I can't recall them… I can't bring up any of the memories…" he paused as a look of worry came over him. "Sukuna…"
Yuuji himself froze. He remembered Gojo sensei state that there were remnants of Sukuna in his possessions, if they were to gather all of them there may be enough to bring him back. But if that's the case, why is Suiryu in pain of trying to remember?
"He's blocked me," he whispered. "I can't recall the past members, I can't… Yuuji, this isn't right. Why can't I remember!?" he demanded.
"Brother, you are stressed and have endured a lot recently." Said Shouoso, "Perhaps you need to rest."
"Shouoso is right, you have been non stop for over a month…" Yuuji began to say.
"Fatigue should not have an effect on me!" he protested. "No, this is something more." He then paused, "Oh God… if I am blocked from seeing his past, does this mean he can see through me?"
The idea never struck him before, Yuuji however checked himself as he lifted Suiryu's head to look him in all four of his eyes. He could see things through his brother, but he didn't see anyone trying to use him. "No, I don't think so. You also have Ryujin's tools on your, hiding your curse energy and also your form. It's more divine than curse so they cannot use you."
"What about brother Yuuji?" asked Sho.
He smiled to them and shook his head. "No, I'm in the clear, you have to go through someone else in order to possess me!" he laughed.
"Someone else?" asked Junpei. "What do you mean someone else!?"
"Long story, but it beats my former roommate."
Suiryu nodded. "Okay then, let's double our efforts! Brothers, let's see what we can do!"

Yuuji was left in charge of the brothers. Suiryu knew he had to get the Kyoto school in top shape before the war to come. With that, he kept watch as the brothers all worked together. Who was rather good at coordinating everyone was Junpei! With his curse ability, blood bonds, he is able to not just help his brothers use their abilities to the fullest, but he is able to do some of theirs in return. Junpei has also been working on building up his reserves, as well as holding more blood in his body than before. They were running low on cursed finger bearers, but so far his limit has become 12 of them!
Not only that, but Junpei's mind was always thinking and innovating ways of using his potential to the best he can. Suiryu even told Yuuji that he was impressed with how much he learned in such little time. Junpei also took his knowledge of horror movies and used them in his abilities as well. His greatest accomplishment was making blood wings, despite their liquid state, he is able to fly with them!
They were very proficient in their skills as well as battle techniques. They know to watch out for each other and to have everyone's backs. The brothers were powerful, very powerful. "Thank goodness they are on our side…" Yuuji whispered in admiration.
He watched on as they practiced in a field near by. They were all skillful in watching out for each other as well as their attacks. When they were done, Junpei took back all the blood that was used and contained it within himself. "Well done little brother!" cheered Sho. "You are getting stronger by the day!"
Junpei nodded and thanked him for the compliment. "I have a long ways to go," he said offhandedly.
Yuuji went to greet them when one paused. "Say Yuuji, how come we haven't seen your ability? No offence, but you don't come across sturdy to me, nor does Suiryu," said Sanso.
Yuuji merely smiled. "Most of my power is contained so no one knows how strong I am. It's for the best or I would scare people." He explained.
"Could you show us a little?" asked Sho.
Yuuji smiled. "Okay, just a little… you may want to stand back."
They all took three steps back, Yuuji then focused as he unleashed his curse energy. His body resonated with it, he could feel the pressure around him alter and change as the ground trembled under his power. When he looked to the brothers, they froze. He was quick to stop but the damage was already done. The ground around him caved in quite a bit, some trees fell over from the force. "Oh… sorry!" he said.
"Whoa…" Junpei whispered. "That's just… a little?" he asked.
Yuuji nodded. "Yeah… I don't show it off since as I said, it scares people and I don't want any unwanted attention."
There came a look of confusion. "Brother Yuuji… if you don't mind me asking… if you are this powerful, can you not fight the war yourself?" asked Eso.
He thought about it, for the most part, if push came to shove, he could. He would in order to keep everyone safe. "I think so, but at the same time. I shouldn't. I want to keep my friend safe, at the same time I cannot be the one to save them all the time. If they become too dependent on me, they wouldn't be able to defend themselves," he explained. "Something like that happened before too not too long ago… it was a mess… I don't ever want that to occur again."
"True, but if that's the case, why bring us to life? Why give any of us a body?" Choso asked.
"I think you would have to talk to Suiryu about that, he was insisting on bringing you in for help. At the same time… I got to know some awesome brothers. And I got a friend back," he said and looked to Junpei. "Perhaps he may have felt that you all deserved a chance to live too… I got a feeling Suiryu isn't the only one behind this either…"
"What's in you…" Junpei whispered.
Yuuji paused. "Oh… right… that… Did… Suiryu tell you?"
"Sort of. Suiryu he said you were once possessed by Sukuna, but now it's something else, but he didn't say what it was."
He smiled once more as he scratched the back of his head a little nervously. "Yeah, about that… it's a dragon," he said offhandedly.
The brothers didn't move. "A… dragon?" asked Sho. "You mean a dragon fits in that body of yours?"
"Oddly enough yes, I am quite spacious!"
"He did house all of us," muttered Eso. "I wouldn't underestimate our brother here,"
Sho paused but then realized his mistake. "Sorry brother Yuuji,"
"Oh it's fine, really." He insisted. "Let's call it a day, huh? Let's make a great dinner and watch a movie!"
"Ooo I found a lot of DVD's here, you guys want to see Repo the genetic opera?" Junpei asked.
