Episode 10: Type R for run

The Episode starts in the boys Dolphin cabin. Jackson is reading Milly's journal. Travis casually looks over to him. He's curious and he squints at the title but is unable to see it. Meanwhile Jackson is fully focused in his studying. He highlights pages in the book.
"I never knew you were studying for school… you don't strike me as a studier," Says Travis smartly. Jackson glares as he looks over.
"Shut up, I'm just doing personal work," Jackson says as he looks to Travis. Travis looks somewhat scarred but swallows his fear. He sighs.
"Ok…" Travis puts on his glasses and then he sees it. His eyes widen. He flinches at the site of the title. Its her journal that he gave her. Jackson looks on the other side of the room and realizes what Travis sees. He gasps as he turns the book away from Travis.
" .Nothing," Says Jackson coldly as he glares at Travis' shocked face, "Because if you did...then I'll have to do something about that,"
Travis gulps.
Jackson Confessional
"Hmm it appears Travis saw my little secret. I hope he knows that that makes him a threat. I hope he knows I was looking at his specific page in the book. Milly wrote a surprising amount of stuff on his...considering that shes a lesbo. Eh, probably just a test rat. Eh, but I swear he's going down," Jackson says as he points to the camera.
"Can you please stop pointing at me, I feel uncomfortable," Joe the cameraman says somewhat shyly.
"No," Jackson says as he crosses his arms.
End Jackson Confessional
"Don't ever touch me Jackson," Says Travis horrified. He's now gone into a personal ball.
"Whatever," Says Jackson as he rolls his eyes. Travis looks over to Jackson somewhat traumatized. Jackson smirks back at him before he flips over on his stomach and over dramatically reads the book, mocking and taunting Travis who ultimately runs out off the room. Jackson drops the whole act and runs after him. They bump into Chris who is hopelessly sipping a light, ocean blue liquid on a white lawn chair in the middle of the plaza. His intern, Mimi is taking pictures of him.
"Chris, there you are!" Gasps Travis as he runs in the frame of the picture and photo bombs to promo. Chris lowers his sunglasses and looks at Travis.
"If I were you I would save your energy for today's challenge. Anyways, what's up?" Chris says as he casually looks over at the two boys. Jackson has arrived before Travis.
"Nothing, we just wanted to...train," Fibs Jackson as Travis enters.
"No! He's lying, what happened is!" Says Travis urgently.
"What are you talking about," Says Jackson smoothly as he glares down at Travis. Chris however can see through this. However, he is unsure how to respond, should he add drama to the situation? The camera is already on them, perhaps he should be more moral and show how good of a person Chris McClane is.
"Good point, what do you mean, Travis?" Asks Chris as he looks empathetically the warn out Travis.
"He- he," Travis says, worn out.
"Hold it, Michale Jackson, just tell me when you're ready," Says Chris as Travis disappointedly, Jackson follows him with a smirk. However, Milly watches in a black, stained wooden window.
She looks from the window to the camera peeking in her window, which she quickly and swiftly flips off.
Milly Confessional
"Hmm, I wonder what that was about? Could it possibly be about me letting that Jackson guy gain an advantage on me," She punches herself, "Ugh! How could I give him the key to the game," Milly says somberley and disappointed.
End Milly Confessional
The camera transitions to the boys Spiders cabin. Lance strums his bass, Andrew is watching TV, and Lucas is watching Tv along with him. However, something big was about to happen. Lucas turned to Andrew and says something.
"You know, I don't see why you're so attracted to that girlfriend of yours," Lucas says somewhat passive aggressively. Lance stops strumming and Andrew looks over to Lucas.
"I like Matt for her morals, not only that but she's just a friendly person. Unlike you, I don't go for girls who treat me and others like trash while looking hot. I mean Matt is hot but you know, she's just a pleasant person is all I'm saying," Say Andrew somewhat defensively. He turns away from the Tv to Lucas.
"Well, I mean yeah, but like your girlfriend can't even walk, she's basically useless," Shrugs Lucas. Lance gasps in the background as Andrew's eye twitches.
"She's what?" Asks Andrew unnaturally calm.
"She's useless," Says Lucas, "Unlike my admirer, Brittany,"
Andrew begins to burn with anger but asks one more question, "What do you mean?" Asks Andrew with a polite smile.
"I mean why would you date a girl who can't even walk, at least Brittany can do that and more, your girlfriend is basically a waste of space," Says Lucas arrogantly. Lance is left in shock and Andrew can only maliciously grin.
"Dude! What's your problem?" Yells out Lance, disgusted.
"Nothing," Says Lucas innocently.
"You will not insult my girlfriend EVER!" Shouts Andrew filled with rage. Lucas backs up defensively.
"Hey, I didn't do anything to you," Complains Travis.
"Well, you offended me, me and Matt," Andrew says visibly angry.
"Well sorry that your such a snowflake," Says Lucas as he rolls his eyes.
Andrew gets up and walks out of the room leaves Lucas and Lance.
"You're welcome to leaving," Lucas tells Lance as he points to the door. Lance looks at him bothered. But throws his hands in the air frustrated, before he walks after Andrew.
Lucas smiles as he's left alone.
Chris yawns as he gets off his lawn chair, he sees Andrew and Lance walking around, he leans in to Claire.
"Should we do the challenge now or later?" Asks Chris.
Claire shrugs, "I guess, don't you need to go to New York later?" Claire asks Chris as he nods.
"Yeah, I'm not exactly the most excited for it, I mean, Evelyn is okay but I don't feel like getting on my hands and knees for another season of this stupid show. I mean these dudes are pretty chill but, you know they're not hands and knees worthy," Chris says as he sits back down on the edge of the lawn chair. He gets back up remembering the challenge.
"Oh right, I should get our run set up,"Chris says as he points through the abandoned area into the woods.
"Ok...I really want to help but, I think leaving these people alone is a super bad idea," Says Claire as she looks over to Nui and Brittany having a heated argument. Claire when looks back Chris has already left and is walking in the abandoned area towards the stage and the woods.
Claire rubs her neck shyly as she's left in the crowd of teenagers. However, her beeper in her pant pocket vibrates, she looks to check it. It's Chris, he tells her to tell the campers to walk to the boat house. Claire turns around to all the campers including Lucas who just came out of his dorm.
"Umm ok… you people, umm just follow me to the next challenge," Claire says as she turns around. The campers follow her as they cross the abandoned area. The enter the woods walking past the wooden stage. A metal pole is next to the stage, it seems to be in the middle of the path. Travis has a slight shiver, as he sees someone run into it in his mind. Milly looks at him as he becomes cold. She looks for her notebook but remembers it's in Jackson's custody. She looks and mentally notes it. They walk past it on a dirt road through a bed of lovely flowers, mostly red, white, purple,and orange.
"Wow...I thought this show was pretty underfunded. How can you basically afford an entire forest of flowers? Are you holding Mary Stewardt hostage?" Nui says jokingly as she looks to Claire.
"No...I did this… I garden in my free time," Says Claire shyly as she walks and gently touches the flowers. Lucas opens his mouth to speak but Lance closes it for him. Brittany touches a little red lily roughly. This immediately make Claire turn around to glare at her as she puts the flower in her hair. She doesn't say anything and continues walking. They pass by a large oak tree, Andrew stands and admires it. He sees as the rest of the group continues walking, he runs after them nervously. They overpass the grandest thing so far, an open stone bridge covered in beautiful green vines it's over a bed of hard, gray rocks. However Travis seems a bit concerned.
"Hey… this thing doesn't have any railing or...anything!" Says Travis worried. Claire continues looking in the northern direction.
"You won't need railing when you're running,"Says Claire somewhat up tight. They continue on until they find Chris. He's standing there tapping his foot somewhat impatiently. He has a slight frown but is silent.
"Where were you guys? Did you get lost?" Chris says somewhat concerned.
"No...we were just checking the place out… I mean they haven't ever seen anything in the woods outside of what? The stage?" Sighs Claire. Chris admits he's wrong with a single shrug as he looks toward the campers standing behind her. He sighs.
"Ok...can you guys please split into your teams?" Chris says, still slightly annoyed as the campers separate. Travis realizes how small their team ultimately is. Travis gulps as he sees the split.
"Today, you guys will be running from here, all the way through the abandoned area. The guys have a slight advantage because they did do a similar challenge so watch out for them ladies," Chris says as he looks toward Nui and Brittany who are both standing there next to each other.
"Why did he look at us like that?" Whispers Nui. Brittany does a small shrug.
"So… when I pull the trigger of this...unloaded gun, you guys will take off," Chris says as he slowly and cautiously as he takes the gun out of his pocket with the same notion.
A slide by camera shot sees the campers stretch and get ready to take off.
Chris shoots off the gun. Brittany trips in the mud as everyone else takes off. Disgusted she shakes herself off before she runs after them.
The camera follows the campers race for the front. Most notably is Nui, Jackson, and a small Andrew racing off the side. Up ahead in a pile of large pine trees is a sharp right turn. Jackson slows down and ends up side to side with Travis who is currently second last. Nui takes the turn as Andrew topples over. He quickly gets up and runs slightly in front of Lance. Upcoming is the stone bridge which Nui absolutely dominates, Andrew runs ahead, Brittany also runs ahead of both Travis and Jackson, Lance and Milly stay in the middle and seem fairly mediocre. Nui, Lance, Andrew, Milly, and Brittany run across the bridge.
"Payback time," Whispers Jackson as they approach the beginning of the bridge. Travis looks at him as it goes to slow motion. Travis' brown hair waves as Jackson's arm reaches out. His eyes narrow as he slowly pushes Travis off the tropical bridge. Travis' arm flies as he falls towards the rocks. He lands hard and passes out. Jackson has a small grin as he looks and runs. He sprints toward the campers who are now running through some thick moss and a few muddy puddles. This causes Milly and Brittany to fall in.
"Just my luck," Mutters an angry, wet Brittany as she's covered with mud.
"Your luck?" Says Milly who looks up from her mud puddle slightly ahead of her.
"Hey, at least you deserved it," Brittany scoffs as Milly glares at her.
The camper goes to the campers who cross the beautiful flowers. Lucas trips over a root growing on the ground. This suddenly twists Lucas' ankle.
"Oww!" Shouts Lucas in pain, this gains Andrew's attention. He earns a smug smile.
"I'm usually not this cruel but… it looks like now, you're useless," Andrew smiles as he runs off.
"STOP MOCKING ME AND HELP ME!" Yells out Lucas still in pain. Andrew runs off as Jackson cold heartedly passes Lucas who is sitting on the floor clinching his ankle.
The shot goes to the final obstacle. Nui and Andrew race side by side as they reach close to the stage. However, from behind Jackson is quickly and swiftly gaining on them. He rips through the middle of them and shoves a running Andrew out of the way who knocks himself into the stage's metal pole. He falls over quickly. Nui looks behind herself to notice at this point it's just Nui and Jackson left. She looks at Jackson as they run past the stage.
"We never had drama," Says Jackson as they battle for the lead "Don't add it,"
"Nuh uh," Nui says as she continues her run. Jackson looks at her then back at the abandoned area. The line is so close. He sprints through the line and makes it as Nui comes in merely seconds later.
"And Jackson wins!" Yells out Chris as he meets them, Claire is closely behind.
"How did you guys even get here?" Asks Nui, confused. Chris and Claire smile as they point to the helicopter sitting behind them/
"Oh…" Nui says as everyone beside Travis comes limping in.
Claire counts the campers, "Hmm I thought we had 8 contestants," Claire looks concerned as he recounts and recounts once again.
"Does anyone know who we're missing?" Asks Chris somewhat angrily. Milly rubs her arm uncomfortably. Chris sees this and immediately knows she knows.
"Milly! Do you know?" Chris says impatiently and getting angry, "Someone went missing! I know you know!"
"Look...on the bridge," Milly says mysteriously as she looks to Jackson who glares at her.
"I don't know who did it though," Lies Milly. Chris and the campers disappear by the bridge.
They stand their from shocked and horrified to mediocre watching over a bloody passed out Travis. His glasses lay smashed on another far rock.
"F***" Blurts out Chris. "WHO THE F*** DID THIS!" Yells Chris angrily. Then campers stand gathered around as Chris throws down his sunglasses which shatters.
Claire climbs down the rocks and picks up Travis; she walks with him as the campers and a pissed off Chris follows her. Mimi immediately sees him, she's sitting in the Dolphin's cabin and sees him for the first time in such manor.
She taps Travis lightly with no response before she sets him down. CHris looks to them.
"Umm yeah, Spiders….go vote," Chris says as he anxiously looks from Travis to the campers. The members of the Spider team scatter away.
Time jump
Chris is in the cafeteria. The Spider team are gathered traumatized in front of him,.
"I can't do this today, umm the votes show that Lucas is eliminated," Chris says worried as Lucas disappointingly walks out of the cafeteria. He passes by Travis still knocked out.
"Attention stealer," Mutters Lucas angrily. Claire sees this in the corner of her eye and quickly walks up to Lucas.
"You realize he's going to have to go to the hospital….with you?" Claire questions him quietly. Lucas' confused look turns into a smile.
"So he's eliminated," Lucas said. Claire gives a non verbal nod.
"Yesssssss," Says Lucas as Chris comes out and carries Travis before he holds onto Lucas' collar and drags him onto the helicopter.
"Good luck in New York!" Shouts Claire as she waves the 3 boys goodbye. The camera slowly fades to black.

Umm wow, ok that was a very interesting chapter for me to not only write but read. I originally planned Travis to win the season, however, with the Milly plotline ending I didn't have much to do with him. With Lucas, I feel like he doesn't deserve to be a merge contestant, his only "thing" is mainly being in an unofficial alliance with Brittany. I also wanted to add a mystery element to my story. So umm yeah. Anyways, merge will be happening next Minisode so watch out for that and the new contestant. And thats all.
