Haha, this is the chapter I've been waiting for!

Kayla prepared a set of pillows and blanket on the sofa for Waylon's stay. Waylon wasn't sure at first but Mr and Mrs Harper has another television set in their room so both Kayla and Waylon can have the TV in the living room. Waylon was feeling tired today so he bids both Mr and Mrs Harper goodnight and went to the sofa.

Kayla rushed upstairs to her room and came back with a book in her hand. " Something for you to read if you get bored," she winked at him. Waylon gave her a smirk. " Thanks and goodnight."

" Goodnight Waylon," said Kayla she pecked him on the cheek. Waylon can't believe it! His best friend just kissed him even though it's just a peck, he felt like there's a kaleidoscope of colors rushing into him. He touched the part where she had kissed him. ' I have to tell her that I love her. Starting from tomorrow.'

He collapsed into the sofa, still clutching the book in his hands. Waylon thought that he can read the book now before going to sleep. " The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton," he reads the cover of the book. To be honest, Waylon kept on reading the book until he feel asleep, finishing halfway of the book.

The next morning, Waylon woke up and found out that he had finished halfway of the book and today he's going to spend the rest of his day with Kayla. He got up and saw Mrs Harper and Kayla having breakfast at the ding table.

" Morning Waylon," Kayla chirped. " Come and join us for breakfast. We're having pancakes!"

Waylon sat down next to Kayla and as the three were eating, Mr Harper came down, wearing a white shirt with a dark brown coat. Mrs Harper gave him a quick kiss as he join the family for breakfast. The family were discussing about the activities they are going to do.

Mr Harper has to go to court for Tom's trial and Mrs Harper will accompany him. They will be back in the afternoon so Kayla can spend the morning with Waylon. " If you want to go outside, lock the doors and windows."

" We will dad," said Kayla. Waylon nodded in agreement.

" See you in the afternoon kids!"

Now Kayla and Waylon are the only ones in the house. " So what do you want to do?"

" Well Waylon, I'm thinking of watching some movies in the living room if that's fine with you."

Waylon gave her a reassuring smile. " I'm fine with anything. But can I finish the book first?"

Kayla was surprised. " You actually read the book?"

" Yep. All night and only half way there," said Waylon proudly. " It was a very interesting book."

" Alright," said Kayla. She was biting the inside of her cheeks so that she doesn't want Waylon to see her smile. " You better dress up a bit. Dad has given you a pair of clothes in his bedroom so you could get dress."

Waylon, sighs and then goes upstairs to get himself dressed. Kayla was busy choosing some movies for the rest of the morning. She picked three of her favourite movies that she hoped Waylon would love it.

While waiting, Kayla was finishing her book, ' Gone With The Wind'. She heard footsteps from upstairs and saw Waylon in his new outfit: white shirt with black pants. His muscles are nice and a bit buff but not too buff. This made Kayla blush a little.

" You look great Waylon!" Kayla cried. Waylon rubs the back of his head.

" Thanks. So you wanna what the movies now?"

" Sure thing."

Kayla plays the first movie. The movie was a comedy, ' Revenge of the Nerds.' Waylon couldn't help but laugh out loud at the parts where the nerds are trying to pour liquid heat in the jocks' jock straps. Kayla also laughed but not loud as Waylon.

" Who knew nerds could be this sneaky," Waylon chuckled. He did noticed that Kayla was leaning her head on his chest but he wraps an arm around her shoulder.

During the end of the movie Kayla got up to get the next movie. This time, it was a romance movie.

" Dirty Dancing," Waylon raise an eyebrow. " You sure?"

"I'm sure, Waylon."

The movie was beautiful for Waylon. He can't imagine that a sweet guy would teach a girl how dance and soon they fell in love. In the end, of the movie, where Johnny Castle lifts Baby as the finale, Kayla got up and cheers. Waylon can't help but do the same thing.

" No one puts Baby in the corner," Waylon quoted.

Kayla laughed and gave him a playful punch. The more she sees Waylon feeling happy,the more she fell in love with him.

The next movie gave Waylon quite a surprise. It was like the book he was reading, ' The Outsiders'.

" So do you like anyone from the book?" asked Kayla. Waylon nodded. " Yes and it's Johnny Cade because I like his personality and I know how he feels being abuse and tormented."

Kayla gave him a small pat on his shoulder and switches the button to start the movie. The movie was just like how Waylon imagined it would be. When they got to the part where Johnny told Ponyboy to ' Stay gold', Waylon started to let a tear slide down of the corner of his eye. Kayla was shaking a bit so Waylon wraps his arms around her.

" Poor Johnny," sighs Waylon. " First he was abused by his parents, jumped by socs and now he's dead!"

" And Dally too," Kayla added. " He loves Johnny like a little brother and that is really tuff."

Waylon chuckles at this. It has been four hours the two are spending their time watching movies. At twelve o' clock, Mr Harper and Mrs Harper came back with good news.

" Good news kids," announced Mr Harper. " Tom is not guilty!"

Waylon got up to here the news. " That's great! So what happened?"

So Kayla and Waylon listen to Mr Harper's story on how the lady who was 'raped' seduces him for she's bored with her current husband and decided to turn her attention to Tom, who was busy in the cotton plantation. She calls him over and make out and an eyewitness saw them and reports to the police. Tom was only following orders.

" Wow Dad," was all Kayla could say. Waylon nodded in agreement.

Mrs Harper calls the three of them to tell that it's lunch time. The family including Waylon did not speak much except for Kayla telling her parents about the morning she spent with Waylon.

" Well that's nice sweetheart," said Mr Harper. " But I want know, did you two make out while we're out?"

Both of the teenagers blushed and Mrs Harper smacks her husband playfully on the shoulder. " Ted! Don't rush in and jump to conclusions!"

" I just want to know," Mr Harper smirks at his daughter.

" We didn't do anything sir," said Waylon. Kayla nodded in agreement. To both of their surprise, Mr Harper has a disappointed look in his eyes.

" Oh, I thought...never mind."

While the parents are talking, Waylon whispers into Kayla's ," I want to show you something this evening."

Kayla nodded and asked her parents if they can go out in the evening. Both parents agreed and told the two to be back before nightfall.

Few hours later,

" Alright Kayla," Waylon instructs her. " You can open your eyes now."

Kayla opened her eyes and gasped. Waylon had brought her to a place where there's a small river flowing and thick trees with the marsh and swamps that made it looked like something out of a fairytale book. Not to mention the sunset.

" Oh,Waylon," Kayla whispers. " It's beautiful!"

Waylon smiles. " This is the place where I go when my aunt doesn't bother me. This place gave me a time to relax. But that's not what I wanted to show you.

He took Kayla's small and delicate hand in his. " The real reason I want to bring you here is because you changed me. When I saw you for the first time, I thought you're going to laugh at my appearance but you for the first time in my life, smile at me. And when we became friends I feel like I belonged somewhere and the more you helped me, the more I'm falling for you."

Kayla was speechless at first but she placed her hand on his cheek and strokes it gently. " Waylon, I have feelings for you too."

This made Waylon's heart soar like an eagle. Soon, both of them leaned in, eyes closed and shared their first kiss. The kissed felt like magic between them and it's just the two of them. Alone in Louisiana. Finally found each other's love. After the kiss, both of them gasped for air. Kayla blushed while Waylon smiles and wraps his strong arms around her.

" I love you, Kayla," Waylon sighs, kissing her temple.

" I love you too, Waylon Jones.
