So, if Kayla forgives Waylon's actions, what about her parents? Let's find out! I just finished my finals.

Both the united couples walk away from that dreadful place. Waylon could feel the darkness from his heart, lifted away from his body. He is feeling a flutter in his heart. Something that he never felt when he was young. That was before he met Kayla. It was happiness.

The two of them met Kayla's parents at the carnival. Her parents were so happy to see him. Especially Mr Harper. They decided to bring Waylon back with them and start all over just like ten years ago. Mrs Harper can't stop asking him of where and how did he escaped from prison. But Mr Harper told her to calm down and let Waylon rest.

I mean, the first thing you want to do after a hellish life is taking a bath or eat. Right?

But Kayla's glad that her parents are accepting Waylon to be part of the family again. She sighs as she was seating at the back with Waylon while her parents are in front. Mr Harper is the one doing the driving. She cuddles into Waylon, feeling a warm feeling in her heart. Waylon couldn't help but blush as if it was the start of his first love all over again.

Once they reach home, Waylon's overwhelmed by how simple yet comforting Kayla's home was. Mrs Harper decided to help Waylon get a new set of clothes while he takes a shower in the family's guest bathroom. Mr Harper wanted to help but his wife told him to help with the dinner with Kayla.

...

" Kayla, where is the mustard?" asked Mr Harper as he takes the roast beef from the oven.

" In the cupboard, dad!" Kayla replies. She's busy setting the tables. Both of them were doing a dish that is out of the ordinary. They were doing, beef wellington. An english dish. After Kayla's done, she'd ask her dad if he needs any help.

" No need, Princess," he chuckles. " Your old man is almost done."

Both of them didn't say anything until Mr Harper broke the silence. " Must be hell for him to work with that ringmaster. I mean, first his aunt and now, this!"

" I know, dad," Kayla sighs. Mr Harper, sensing his daughter's problem, places his arm over her shoulder in a comforting manner. Kayla finally let tears fall from her eyes.

" It's alright Kayla," her father comforts her. " He's safe. He won't be in danger again."

" But," she sniffs. " I feel guilty back then. When the police got him. Instead of helping him, I stood there with shock. I will not forgive myself for letting him being taken away..."

" You were scared and unsure of what to do," Mr Harper told her. " It happens to everyone." Kayla smiles and hugs her dad.

" Thanks, dad!"

...

During dinner, Waylon was sitting opposite Kayla with Mrs Harper next to him. Waylon couldn't thank Kayla and her family enough. No one, except them accepted him for who he is. He really appreciates that. Mr Harper suggests that Waylon should stay with them like the last time. He asks Kayla to show him the guest room after dinner.

After dinner, Kayla shows Waylon the guest room, which was located at the opposite of her parent's bedroom at the top floor. Since their house is a double story. When entering, Waylon could feel the sense of comfort and welcome as he steps into the room.

Along the way, Kayla told him about her job as a librarian. Waylon chuckles. He knew that someone like her would love to work at a place where there are thousands of books. He listens to her story about the event that will be held on Monday.

" And I was wondering," Kayla blushes as she looks away. " If you would like to come."

Waylon's smile drops. " But Kayla, I'm not sure if I could-"

" We'll find a way," said Kayla. She places a hand on his chin, since he's very tall. Waylon wraps his arms around her in an embrace.

" I miss you."

" I miss you too," Kayla whispers, leaning into him.

Meanwhile, two figures were peeping at the corner of the room. " Isn't it cute, Ted!" Mrs Harper squeals.

" I would have said the same thing," sighs Mr Harper. " If you weren't gripping on my shoulders!"

It's good to be back, everyone. The next chapter is going to be a fun chapter. But I am not sure what activity I am planning for them. We'll just have to wait!
