I'm also uploading all chapters that I have written instead of holding some back as I am wright them. For here on out, you get updates which are up to date with my current writing.

Chapter Two: A New Life

When Victoria first woke up, she didn't know what to think. Her vision was blurry and every sound was loud and attracted her limited attention. She knew the person who took care of her was a red-haired woman; she knew that there was a red headed man who came home at the end of the day, and always tucked her in and read her stories.

During the day, five other red headed children would come and go, and she was always next to the sixth who was of the same age. Victoria had come to the realisation very early on that she had been reborn, since the size difference, the access to her senses and the unrelenting urge to cry, eat and sleep were big give always.

After a few weeks her eyes had settled, her ears had opened, and she was able to see and hear clearly for the first time. It was at this point that she realised that she was no longer in her own world.

Victoria's mother was named Molly Weasley. And she was constantly doing something – cooking, cleaning, and assigning more complex material for maths, reading and writing to Charlie and Percy (each assignment adapted for their respective ages of nine and three); telling Fred and George off, or just cuddling with me and Ron on the sofa.

Then there was her father, Arthur. He worked long hours and Victoria knew Molly was worried about him because the war was still going on even if Victoria knew it would soon come to an end (but not before Molly lost her brothers). But no matter how tired and upset he was when he got home, dad would always read Victoria and Ron a bed time story (Victoria's current favourite was the Tales of the Biddle and the Bird).

Her eldest brother was Bill, he was eleven and would be going to Hogwarts's soon (he had missed the cut for this year since his birthday was November). He was really smart and when mom went to stop Fred and George from fiddling with something they shouldn't be, he would normally be the one left to look after the younger twins. He would tell them stories about their uncle Fabian and Gideon, or stories about Hogwarts that he had read about (their dad had already started getting him his school books and had gifted him with an old copy of Hogwarts a History that used to be his, since he didn't want to spent an entire day shopping in these times).

The next eldest was Charlie who was eight when Victoria was born, and already had his fascination with Dragons. She didn't know how he had learnt any of the information he was telling them, but he would describe different aspects of dragons whenever they were left in his care while mum was distracted with chores. Victoria suspected his fascination started with a gift from their uncles, which was then facilitated by their paternal grandfather in books with lots of sketches of dragons.

Percy was two (and seven months) when Victoria and Ron were born, and was fun to play with since he would pull funny faces at them, or he would point at an object in their home and proudly state its name (sometimes using funny voices if he was having trouble holding our attention).

Finally, there was the twins. They were a month shy of two when Victoria and Ron were born (Fred and George had been born six and a half months into Molly's pregnancy since they were twins, and magic had helped them develop quicker) and already causing mischief. They would regularly get their hands on mom's wand, resulting in chaotic magic, or they would get their hands on something they shouldn't. Their favourite game was to see how many of mum's forks they could hid in the garden before they were caught or before the Gnomes came to investigate. Victoria suspected they were actually trying to incite a gnome rebellion by arming them.

Victoria was glad that she was born as Ron's twin and not as a younger or older sibling in the middle. Being born only five minutes after Ron made her the seventh daughter of a seventh daughter. As well as being a twice powerful magical number, it brought Vitoria something to work with as she grew up. She knew when Ginny was to be born, it meant Molly wouldn't watch her quite as closely because she would have another 'little' girl to spoil all the time. Being a twin also had a more immediate use, as her measuring stick.

Since she disliked not being able to move, Victoria starting training her neck and arm muscles as soon as she realised that she was actually a baby and that she wasn't having some kind of disturbing dream because she wasn't experiencing it in flashes (nor could she manipulate anything like she could in a dream). However, she didn't role and attempt crawling until Ron had manged it at five and a half months (being surrounded by five mobile older brothers seemed to have motivated Ron into learning). It took Ron another six months to stand without aid, but Victoria was able to manage it after four months of continuously falling over (and normally being caught by Bill or Charlie who always found this stage amusing having watched it in Percy, Fred and George and in the elder's case, Charlie).

Victoria said her first proper word at eleven months 'Bill' followed swiftly by her next set of words in the coming month as she tried to train her tongue: dada, Charlie, brother, Gred, Forge, Percy, home, table, mama and sister. Ron said his first word at twelve months, and much to Victoria's amusement it was 'food'. He also started picking up some other words, but he was having more trouble learning words because he didn't have a mind of an adult stuck in an infant's body.

It was the November before Ron and Victoria's first Christmas that Molly discovered that she was once again pregnant. Victoria was absolutely adamant that she was getting a little sister, while the elder twins, Percy, Charlie and Arthur thought it would be a boy. After all, it took Molly seven attempts to get a girl. Molly agreed with her youngest and said she was having another daughter, and had already separated Victoria's room so that it was inhabitable for two children (instead of the half storage it had been before). Bill decided to side with his little sister in this simply because she had repeated again and again that it was a girl and then attacked him with her puppy eyes until he submitted.

However, with Molly once again pregnant, Victoria did try and be a good infant, going to Charlie or Bill if she needed something instead of her mother, and allowing her brothers to distract her. She had also learnt the art of distracting Ronald before he could cry by handing him soft toys and they developed this passing, tugging and fetching game with the toys that she didn't really understand but she just viewed it as bonding time with her twin.

Finally, little Ginevra Weasley was born on the 11th of August, eleven days before Percy's fourth birthday. Molly decided that she was content with the number of children she had for now, but she may change her mind by the time her twins (both of them) were off to Hogwarts and leaving her with only Ginny, but even then, that would only last for a year before Ginny too would start at Hogwarts. Just thinking about it was enough to convince Molly that she would have more children in seven or eight years if they could afford to support another mouth and find room for them.

When Ron and Victoria were eighteen months, Bill started his first year at Hogwarts. Knowing that she wasn't going to see him for three months, Victoria clung to her older brother the night before he was to depart. She refused to leave his side for the entire day, and when she finally fell asleep in Bill's arms, her grip wouldn't be loosened. Father eventually convinced mum to let Bill take her to bed instead of trying to separate them since Bill needed his sleep (and Charlie didn't mind sharing a room with Victoria since it wasn't unheard of for her to fall asleep on the two older brothers and not want to be removed).

Arthur had taken the morning off work to see his first son off too Hogwarts, which meant that Molly was left at home trying to calm Victoria who was upset that Bill had left for Hogwarts without her. It wasn't until Percy (who had just turned four) and Charlie (who was nine) got her sat down and reading one of the simple practise books that Molly had been given by her mother-in-law (back when she was pregnant with Bill and fretting about her children's education) that Molly was able to breathe in relief and focus on cleaning the house and keeping an eye on her elder twins who were playing crayons with Ronald.

Victoria clung tightly to her older brothers, including Ron, now that Bill wasn't in the house any more. She had accepted that she couldn't cling to Arthur, since he had work, but she would always wake up early enough that when she cried out it was Arthur who came to get her. After a few days, Arthur learnt to pick her up before going down to the kitchen so that the other boys weren't woken very early in the morning (having been woken late at night by Ginny's cries made them very irritable if woken early). This allowed Victoria to say goodbye to her father, and she even trained her vocal cords enough to inform him that she loved him (or rather that she 'lofe him' since she couldn't quite get the sounds right yet).

Every week after Bill went to school, he would send home two letters. The first letter was for mom and dad, the second was for the children. Charlie would read it aloud (being the oldest and most able reader). Sometimes the letter was generalised for all of them, other times there would be specific paragraphs directed at one of his siblings. Victoria was glad that Bill was at Hogwarts, safe from the war that she knew was ending at the end of that October. But that didn't stop her from missing her big brother – especially considering she hadn't had a brother prior to entering this world and now she had six (and a younger sister).

It was two weeks before Halloween (and the fall of Voldemort) when Fabian and Gideon visited the Weasley's during the day for the first time since Ron and Victoria were born. Normally they would come and speak with their sister and brother-in-law after all the children had been sent to bed to keep them up to date about what was happening with the war and the state of their respective families since Arthur only knew so much from his work at the ministry where he was always watching his back for any Death Eaters who may have infiltrated the institution.

Fabian and Gideon where exactly like the twins would be when they grew up. Pranksters to the core. If they had ever met the Marauders at the Order gatherings, Victoria had no doubt that they would get on famously. However, Victoria knew that her uncles died, taking down five of the six Death Eaters who attacked them before the fall of Voldemort. And one of them made a mention of going to 'Mould-on-the-Wold.' Which meant, this was the last visit to their sisters before they were killed. And Victoria couldn't allow that.

So, when she was passed to Fabian to hold, while Ron was passed to Gideon, Victoria did her best impersonation of a limpet. She refused to let go of the twin who was holding her (it reminded Molly and Charlie (the only ones old enough to understand) of the day before Bill left for Hogwarts). Molly couldn't get her to let go, even when it was lunch time or nap time. She only let go once.

Ron and Ginny had been put down for nap, Percy and Charlie were entertaining the twins and Molly was still trying to convince her daughter to let go of her brother, but all she was getting was a very stubborn 'no'. Gideon laughed and reached over to grab his niece after a few hours of this back and forth. When Victoria realised who was grabbing her, she happily allowed the other twin to take her into his arms, and preceded to impersonate a limpet while attached to that one, causing Fabian to descend into peals of laughter when he realised that although he was now free to go – Gideon wasn't.

Molly grumbled and complained about being replaced before adding two more seats to the dinner table because it was quite obvious that her brothers wouldn't be able to leave as they had planned. Although she was happy that her brothers were staying longer than a few minutes, she was annoyed that her daughter was stubbornly holding on.

When Arthur made it home that night, he was very amused to learn why his brothers-in-law was holding his daughter who had squealed in happiness when she saw him but hadn't made a move to be hugged like she normally would. Instead, he grabbed the camera from his office and asked Charlie to take pictures for him during the night. They had done the same thing when it had happened to Bill. It was something they planned on teasing Victoria about when she grew up – not that she was going to be embarrassed about it since she had consciously decided to do these actions.

It was nearly ten o'clock – all the children were in bed – and Molly was also cuddling with Ginny in her bed, leaving only the twins, Arthur and Victoria up. Victoria, who had been napping during the day, was wide awake as she rested against Gideon and listened to what Arthur and her uncles were discussing. Since they didn't know she could understand them, they were discussing the war and the Order. Apparently there had been a string of attacks on the members over the last month, meaning that there was a spy. Fabian theorised that the spy had been in the order for a least a year, since it was only a year ago that they lost someone outside of direct combat, but it has only been in the past months that the attacks increased meaning something big was planned and Voldemort didn't want them interfering.

They were interrupted by the flare of the fireplace signalling that someone was flooing in. Gideon stepped back to the staircase, holding Victoria tightly as he drew his wand. Her dad and Fabian took up defensive stances in front of them. Despite having a password protected floo, they weren't taking any risks with the safety of their family.

When Albus emerged from the flames calmly, but the twinkle in his eye absent, they relaxed. Albus assessed the room, the twinkle in his eye returning when he realised that the twins were perfectly fine. He had thought he would be delivering terrible news to Arthur and Molly today only to find that the young men he had feared lost were perfectly fine.

"Headmaster, what can we do for you?" Arthur asked, relaxing and taking a seat.

"I came because there was an attack at Mould-on-the-Wold, although I am gladded to learn the potential victims are fine." His eyes twinkled brightly as he looked to Fabian and Gideon who looked shocked.

Victoria relaxed her grip on Gideon, and settled back into his hold now that she knew the danger had passed. She hopped that now they knew they had been targeted they would be more careful and they would survive the next two weeks.

"We couldn't return to the safe house like we had planned." Fabian explained their absence.

"Oh, may I assume that it has something to do with the sweet little lass you are holding Gideon?" Albus inquired, trying to find out why two of his best fighters (and two of the best Aurors next to James and Sirius) decided to not set up their watch in the village a night early like they had planned.

"My daughter, and second youngest, Victoria." Arthur introduced. "Much like the day before Bill headed off to Hogwarts Victoria has attached herself to her uncles. She refused to let go of them, unless it was to be passed to the other, not even when she was asleep."

"Aye, the little princess has a very stubborn nature." Gideon agreed.

"And a tight grip," Fabian recalled.

"She even used accidental magic the last time Molly tried taking her from us. It was around then Molly gave up and ordered me and Fabian to stay the night." Gideon agreed with a chuckle. The look of amused frustration on his sister face when they had been ordered to stay the night not leaving him.

"Well when she refused to let go of Bill, it only lasted the day. She let him go with only a few tears when I had to take him to the train." Arthur shrugged; the amusement clear in his eyes that his daughter was so easily getting her way.

"Interesting," Albus hummed before looking at Victoria. "Will she let Arthur take her now?" Albus inquired.

Arthur stepped forward and easily lifted the unresisting infant into his arms. Victoria snuggled against her father with a happy gurgle, pleased that she could hug him. She hadn't completed her normal ritual for when he got home of hugging him as tight as she could because she didn't want to risk letting go of her uncles.

"I wonder why she is letting you take her now?" Fabian asked with a frown as Arthur settled back in his seat.

"Perhaps it's because she somehow knew you two were in danger?" Albus suggested. "After all, if it wasn't for her insistence that you stay, you could both very well be dead."

"But how could she possible now that? She's not even two years old." Arthur protested as Victoria's eyes dropped.

Before Albus could respond, Victoria answered. "Family." She gave a sleepy yawn before drifting off to sleep.

"Infants always have a powerful connection to their mothers. It is possible that a similar connection has formed between Victoria and her family. When she knew she was going to be separated from Bill for an extended period of time, she sought contact. When a member of her family was in danger, she sought contact." Albus hypothesised. "This isn't the first insistence where I have heard of such a connection manifesting, although this is looking to be the most powerful."

"Is it something that can harm my daughter?" Arthur asked in concern.

"No, it shouldn't cause her any harm. It just means Victoria will be more sensitive to the emotions and state of her family." Albus reassured.

The next morning, Arthur explained what had happened to Molly who hugged her brother's tightly realising that she could have lost them. Then she hugged her daughter and kissed her on the forehead before setting her in the play pen with Ronald and Ginny. She was grateful that she hadn't lost her brothers but now she was concerned about how this connection would affect Victoria as she grew up, no matter what Albus had to say on the matter.
