Trust is something which is essential in a relationship. Once it is broken, then the relationship is broken as well. Trust comes along with communication and with good communication, its means that there is trust. Luckily, both Fleur and Hermione trust each other more than anyone else in the world. With a relationship as long as theirs, some would often wonder if the two did ever get into fights or get jealous. They most definitely did but because of their trust in one another, they always moved past it. Because they belonged to the other and there was no reason to string things along when they could just make up and be happy.

Obviously, childish jealousy did get in the way of things, especially with Hermione since she was still in her mid-teens when she met Fleur and had never been in a romantic relationship before. That was probably the only time when Hermione had some distrust in the blonde, though it was proven to be unnecessary as Fleur's heart belonged to the brunette. Fleur's past relationships and reputation were the core of why Hermione got jealous and distrustful in the beginning of their relationship, as she was unsure about everything and on how to deal with Fleur's past. As well with Fleur being a Veela, her thrall caused a people to throw themselves at the heiress with no thoughts. And that was something Hermione had to adjust to.

Although it was not entirely her fault. While a thrall is served as an added-on effect to a veela, it does serve as a shield or attacking line for a veela so Veelas can control the intensity of the thrall. And with Fleur being remarkably playful with the younger witch, sometimes she would purposefully intensity her thrall just to get others to fawn over her just to see the jealous and flustered look of her girlfriend. Hermione did not believe that Fleur would purposeful do this at first, but eventually she did come to learn about it.

When Hermione did learn more about Veelas and their thrall, she then did learn that Fleur was using her thrall intentionally to make her jealous. And that was Hermione got truly hurt by the blonde's intentions. She has come to love the blonde so early in her life and for a partner to flaunt themselves to others while being in a committed relationship, it was truly disrespectful and hurtful to the partner. And that is how Hermione felt when she learned that Fleur was doing it on purpose.

So, when the two of them were on a date at Hogsmeade and Fleur had intensified her thrall in the Three Broomsticks, causing many male customers to come flaunt to her, did Hermione actually snap. She slammed her hands on the table, startling Fleur as she was not expecting it, and she glared at the blonde as tears pricked at her eyes.

"If you so desperately want the attention of others on you, then go at it. But don't humiliate me in the process!"

The customers hadn't taken notice of Hermione's upset state, due to being influenced by the thrall and focusing on Fleur entirely. But Fleur was the one who could clearly see the hurt and pain Hermione was in and she leapt up to her feet when Hermione turned and fled from the table, rushing out the exit.

"Hermione!" She yelled, quickly pushing the men who were in her way and immediately rushing after Hermione, desperate to catch the girl.

Hermione was just running, her head down and her arms and legs moving at the fastest speed as she ran away from the Three Broomsticks and all the occupants in it. She heard Fleur yelling her name, hearing the blonde's sprinting footsteps in the snow as she chased after her. But Hermione didn't stop. Tears were falling and all she was focusing on was to just escape Fleur. She didn't want to see her at the moment.

But Fleur thought otherwise.

Due to being more athletic than the brunette, and having longer limbs, Fleur managed to catch up to the brunette and she all but tackled her into the snow, turning in mid fall to take all the impact in the snow. She didn't want to injure Hermione at all, she was already hurt enough.

Hermione immediately tried wriggling out of the blonde's embrace, but Fleur would not let her. She tightened her arms around the brunette and hugged her, hushing her in French as she tried to calm her down. Hermione punched against the blonde's shoulder, tightening her fists as she tried to escape. Tears were running down her cheeks and she recklessly tried wiping them away, not wanting Fleur to see them.

"Let me go Fleur!" Fleur only tightened her grip on the younger witch.

"Non."

"Fleur, let me go!"

"I will not. Not when you are so upset."

"You are the reason why I am upset! Go back to Three Broomsticks and be with your admirers!"

"Why would I want to be with them when I can be with you?"

Fleur pulled back just enough so that she could see her girlfriend's face, her heart twisting when she saw the tears on those tanned cheeks. She gave a squeeze, leaning forward and resting her forehead against Hermione's keeping her close even though the brunette kept trying to pull away.

"Ma Belle, please…I am sorry that I have upset you so. It was not intentional."

"Oh, like I believe that!" Hermione snapped back, glaring angrily into those blue orbs staring at her. She has given up now trying to pull away, Fleur having a tight grip on her and showing no signs of letting go. Fleur's eyes softened and she gave another squeeze.

"I am serious ma belle. I would never purposefully hurt you. I care for you far too much to do that."

"Then why are you so adamant on using your thrall on everyone around us! I know that you do it on purpose Fleur! And it honestly hurts that you would ant all their attention on you! You have said several times that you hate it when they throw themselves at you and let you make them do simply that when we are together! You are such a hypocrite!"

While usually Fleur would be angered by any type of insult being thrown her way, she decided to let it go this one time, seeing that what Hermione was saying is true and that her actions would be seen as hurtful from the brunette's perspective. But Hermione just didn't understand why she did such a thing.

"Hermione, you honestly have no idea how much I care about you. You are the only one I want the attention of. And yes, you are right that it is unfair of me to do that. But I only do it because I love seeing you get so fired up. You are mon petite lionne, and I love seeing you become so protective of me. It is the first time ever has become so protective of me."

Hermione's eyes softened slightly when she heard Fleur's words, but just remembering how those male customers threw themselves at the blonde flashed through her mind and she immediately got angered again and she began to struggle.

"That is still not an excuse that you would do something like that! It hurts to see those men throw themselves at you and treat you like a piece of meat. I know you can handle yourself, but I honestly just wonder sometimes if you truly like me at all."

Fleur furrowed her eyebrows at Hermione, disbelief in her eyes as her words reached her ears. Like her? Hermione only thinks she likes her?

"I know that I shouldn't be worried about your past because you told me that it is nothing. But when you do things like that, I honestly just begin to worry if all of this is just some kind of game to you. It hurts Fleur and I have never had a girlfriend before and if you think that you can just-"

"Hermione, do you honestly think I just like you?"

"Huh?" Hermione said, glancing up to see Fleur looking at her in a disbelieving expression. Her eyebrows were furrowed, and disbelief were in her eyes, the blonde slowly shaking her head as if she were disagreeing with what the brunette was saying.

"Hermione. I don't like you." When those words left the blonde's lips, it was like several needles were stabbing Hermione in the heart and she was ready to just bolt away. But Fleur quickly righted what she said as she leaned forward and brushed her nose against Hermione's. "I love you."

Well, that Hermione was not expecting.

"H-Huh?" Hermione snapped her head away in shocked, her jaw slacked and her eyes wide as she stared at the blonde. Fleur smiled softly at her girlfriend's shocked expressing, so she tugged her closer and leaned down to press a kiss to Hermione's nose.

"I love you Hermione. You are the only one I care for. Yes, you are right, I shouldn't have used my flaw intentionally to make you jealous and I am sorry for that. And I will admit, some of my past actions are quite atrocious that I am ashamed for some of them, but please never doubt for even a second that I don't care about you. Because I do. I care about you more than I should. A Veelas love is a complicated thing but I will happily go through it all just to see you smile. So please Hermione, trust me when I say I love you, because I do. More than anything."

Hermione stared wide eyed at Fleur's confession and her heart was now beating a mile per minute as butterflies fluttered in her stomach and her cheeks began to flush pink. No one has ever said such sincere and romantic words to her before and just hearing them from Fleur just made it feel like the words should be written in the sky. Of course, if Hermione asked for it, Fleur would do it without hesitating and just knowing that made the bright minded witch to go completely speechless.

Fleur smiled at the brunette's speechlessness and leaned down and pressed a kiss to Hermione's lips to bring her back to reality. She smiled as she pulled away and rubbed Hermione's sides as she continued to hold her in place.

"I am sorry about what happened just now. Why don't I make it up to you in my room at the carriage?"

Hearing those words, Hermione immediately flashed pink, and she began to stutter as she began to shake her head.

"F-Fleur! We can't do…such things after…I…You."

Hermione was going so red that she could make a tomato look pale, and Fleur couldn't help but smirk and raise an eyebrow as she watched her girlfriend turning redder and redder by the second. She knew just what the brunette was thinking.

"Mon dieu Hermione, I was simply referring to some cuddling on my bed with some of the sweets we purchased at Honey dukes. But…if you want to pursue such a defined way of making up, I am not opposed to-"

"Y-You are such a pervert!' Hermione yelled, shoving the blonde away with surprising strength and then storming off, her ears red from all the blushing as she marched away in embarrassment. She could hear Fleur's laughter and her footsteps behind her, following after the embarrassed teen while she as delighted with such a reaction.

"I am not the one who was thinking the things you were ma belle!"

"S-Shut up!"

The ceremony was so beautiful at the wedding. Harry and Ginny were so well suited for each other and Hermione did not stop herself from crying as the two exchanged their vows and sealed their newly married life with a kiss. Ron clapped Harry on the back once he pulled away and Hermione gave a wide smile to Ginny as the redhead turned to face her Maid of honour, so happy that she could finally be married to the mad who saved them all and who stole her heart.

The reception was of course very lively, as all Weasley ones were. Harry and Ginny were speaking to all their guests, thanking them for all the attendance and smiling at the praises that were sang to them. Hermione just smiled as she watched the party live on, sipping her glass of champagne while watching the newly wedded couple conversing with their guests.

"Hey Hermione, want one?" Ron appeared by her side, plopping down in the seat beside her and offering her a plate which was filled with cheese puffs. Smiling, Hermione accepted one and politely nibbled at it as she continued to watch the scene while Ron began to scoff down the puffs like a vacuum would with dust.

"Hey, should I step in or something over there?" Ron suddenly asked, causing the brunette to turn to him in question.

"Step in what?" She asked, confused at what he was referring to. He then pointed over her shoulder.

"To that."

Hermione turned and followed the direction which Ron was pointing to and she saw that he was referring to the dancing between his older brother and her wife. Will was leading Fleur in a joyful dance, laughing and smiling at Fleur while Fleur seemed focused on the dance, glancing up and sharing a smile with the older red head before focusing on the dancing again. It was definitely not the type of dance which Fleur was used to but due to being friends with the English folk for a long while, she has learned to broaden her horizons. She is also married to an English witch, so she had to learn eventually.

Hermione just smiled and shook her head, leaning into her seat as she took a sip from her glass. "No, it is okay. They look like they are having fun."

Ron looked at her in confusion, glancing at the dancing couple and then at her. "You do know that Will fancied Fleur in the past, right?"

"Yes, he did not make it a secret." Hermione said, reaching out and taking an uneaten puff from Ron's plate. Ron scowled slightly but let it go.

"Aren't you worried that he will, you know, try take her away?"

"Will wouldn't do that and besides, I trust her." Hermione said, glancing back to the scene to see Will twirling Fleur under his arm, smiling widely as he brought her back to himself. Hermione smiled. "Besides, she has made it clear quite a few times to him that she is happy with me, and I know Will won't go as far to steal someone else's wife just to make himself happy. You know Will isn't like that."

Hermione gave a pointed look at Ron, who just grumbled under his breath before he went back to eating his remaining cheese puffs and then stood up to get some more. Laughing at him, Hermione turned around and smiled when she saw Fleur was looking at her as she was dancing, a smile on her face. Hermione waved her hand at her and Fleur returned it, flashing her a wink as well as she ducked under Will's arm in mid dance. Hermione just smiled at the sight.

She trusted Fleur just as Fleur trusted her and she knew that the blonde will never stray away. Hermione has the Veelas heart just as Fleur has Hermione's, so neither worried about the other running away with it. They belonged together and were happy. And that will never change, no matter what hurdle is tossed to them.
