Fleur is a very prideful woman and for one, is incredibly stubborn. When she believes in something, it is very difficult for her to change her mind. She is by far one of the most stubborn people there are, probably even more so than Hermione, Ron and Harry put together. Fleur almost never believes that she is in the wrong and she has caused more than a few headaches to those around.
Except when it comes to Hermione, Fleur doesn't seem to have much of a problem admitting when she is in the wrong when she is in the wrong. She will yield to Hermione and allow the brunette to be right when she is, not putting up much of a fight when she admits it. It is honestly a shock to everyone who know the blonde well. Hermione was a walking case of magic to ever get Fleur to yield to something.
But more like Hermione is the only one Fleur will yield to.
It was quite shocking in the beginning of the two girls' relationship just how easily Fleur yielded to Hermione. And it all happened because Hermione was trying to study in the library while Fleur and the rest of her friends were studying with her. While the two did enjoy their private time together, Hermione did find herself hanging out with the rest of the clan at times, the group of veela absolutely adoring Hermione to bits.
In the beginning there was peaceful silence, Hermione enjoying it as Fleur seemed to be studying herself, something which she did not do often because most of the time she enjoyed distracting Hermione from her own work, taking great delight in seeing just how flustered she can make the younger witch. So, it was a rare treat for the blonde to be quite and Hermione was revelling it for as long as she can. But unfortunately, it could not be that long because soon enough Fleur was getting into an argument with one of her friends Estela.
"You are wrong Fleur; it is the Hungarian horntail which is more deadly! You had the much easier dragon to deal with!"
"Excuse me, but I believe I have first-hand experience on just how dangerous those reptilian giants are, and I am telling your right now you are wrong. The Welsh Green Dragon was far more deadly."
"Fleur, the dragon breed books specifically say-"
"Complete nonsense. I do not care what such books say. I have personal experience with the matter, and I am telling you that the information in the book is wrong. The Welsh Green Dragon can stun you with its roar. It is quite more manipulative than a Hungarian."
"You literally are just being stubborn. The Hungarian is infamous for its temper and even that red-headed dragon keeper said that the Hungarian shouldn't have been put into the tournament! That is clear enough that it is more deadly!"
"And I am telling you again, that dragon keeper is wrong. The Welsh Green-"
"Fleur." Hermione interrupted, looking up from her book and glaring at her girlfriend in annoyance.
Hermione simply could not handle it anymore. The Hungarian Horntail was the obviously more deadly dragon, the dragon breed being studied seriously by Hermione and Harry when she was helping him prepare for the first task and with Ron's brother Charlie saying that it was dangerous to have the dragon breed in the First task is enough proof that what Estela was saying was correct. Fleur was simply not wanting to admit that she was wrong, and it was distracting at the same time it was annoying.
"Yes, ma belle?" Fleur asked, an innocent look on her face as she turned away from Estela to look at Hermione. She couldn't help but flinch back when she noticed that Hermione was in fact glaring at her.
"You know very well that Estela is right. Yes, you have faced a dragon head on, but The Welsh Green Dragon isn't nearly as deadly as the Hungarian Horntail. You saw how it behaved at the first task with Harry. Your dragon was practically tame compared to his! So, stop trying to get the last word in and fighting a losing battle. You are just making yourself look like a fool. Apologize for being a stubborn idiot and get back to studying."
The veela girls immediately stiffened, glancing nervously between Hermione and Fleur as the brunette is the only one to talk to Fleur in such a way before and they were unsure how the heiress would react. Fleur narrowed her eyes slightly, not at all liking the slight insult at the end of sentence and she opened her mouth to argue but the annoyed glare which Hermione level with her made her hesitate. She closed her mouth and instead sighed, shaking her head.
"Okay ma belle." She then turned to Estela, who flinched at the blonde turning to her, not at all expecting it. Fleur pouted and sighed again before speaking. "You are right Estela. The Hungarian Horntail is mor deadly than a Welsh Green Dragon. I was wrong. I was being a stubborn idiot. I'm sorry."
"I-I-"
Estela was shocked, along with the rest of the other veela girls who just stared in shock and amazement as Fleur turned back to Hermione and pouted cutely before resting the side of her head on her arm and gently trailing her fingers along Hermione's arm to get her attention. Fleur actually admitted that she was wrong and all but obeyed the younger witch's words and was now hopelessly trying to suck up to the girl who just batted the blonde's fingers away with annoyance.
Hermione was a magical item all on her own who just worked a miracle.

Fleur's protective nature is something which Hermione has learnt to deal with. At most times she is flattered by the blonde's protectiveness, but when it comes to literally pinning Cobalt Drakerly to the wall because he was gossiping about the brunette's work ethic during a Christmas party was not the type of protectiveness, she finds flattering.
Despite it constantly being busy in the ministry, there is not a lot of time for leisure among everyone, hence why Hermione decided to make some sort of fun for everyone and therefore started a muggle tradition to have office parties during Christmas time. Mind you not on the day, but during the week before she gives them all off for the end of the month to recuperate and enjoy the holidays with her families.
It has actually become quite a hit among the wizarding folks and others have begun to appreciate Hermione's muggle knowledge to come into play with the wizarding world. Muggles always seems to be a fascinating topic among some wizarding folk and to have a minister who grew up in a muggle home, they can only expect more surprising traditions, items, and acts.
But again, just as there are people who like the brunette's muggle think in the wizarding world, there are always that don't and Cobalt Drakerly was one of them. He was one of the higher ups in the ministry, being one of the high officers that work alongside Hermione and the other advisors of the magic council. But he was quite the notorious snob and being the pureblood that he is, he obviously has quite a few choice words to say about having a muggleborn minister in charge of the Ministry magic, as well about the muggle implementations she has made.
He was being sure to spread his opinion about the minister during the Christmas party, gathering up some of his colleagues to discuss his views. Only he was very much unaware of the minister's wife lurking around near him and he barely got another word out when he was suddenly pulled from behind and all but shoved again the wall, pinned by the throat while a snarling veela stood in front of him, golden eyes glinting threateningly as held him off the ground against the wall.
"You dare say such things about my wife?"
Hermione at first was unaware of the commotion, just coming back from the bathroom, but when she was suddenly getting pulled along by her colleagues and shoved to out of the small circle which was surrounding her wife and Cobalt, she couldn't help btu sigh in annoyance. Why couldn't Fleur just keep her temper under control for once in a social setting?
"Fleur, just what are you doing?" She asked, stepping forward and stepping a tired look at her wife. Fleur turned around to look at her.
"This idiot was spreading gossip about you to those-"
"Yes, I am aware that Mr Drakerly has a fondness of spreading rumours and gossip about me. But just why are you strangling him?" Fleur frowned.
"Because he deserves to die for saying such words for-"
"Fleur, while I do appreciate you defending my honour, that will not bode well with the public. It will just create more work for me if I have to explain why one of my advisors was killed during a Christmas party."
This time Fleur frowned, her grip on Cobalt lessening slightly which was like a lifeline to Cobalt as he finally had access to air.
"But-"
"Fleur, please let him go. He will be dealt with in a different way. I promise."
"…Fine."
Fleur let go of Cobalt and the pureblood all but fell to the floor in a gasp, gulping in the air he had been so much deprived. Fleur then walked over to Hermione and wrapped her in a hug, sighing as she rested her chin on her shoulder.
"He deserved it though."
"Oh, he most definitely did. Thank you for defending me." She could feel Fleur smile as she moved her head to press a kiss to the brunette's jaw.
"Any time."
So, Fleur may have the knack of causing fights and making them explode because of her inability to admit that she is wrong. That is just how her stubbornness gets her into trouble. But Hermione is the one who can get her to do such a thing and therefore it was a miracle itself that Fleur found someone to yield to. But then again, Fleur did not mind. After all, Hermione is right most of the time and who is she to tell that Brightest witch of her age that she is wrong? She has more sense than that.
