The kiss heats up, and he carries her into the bedroom. As they lie on the bed kissing, and disrobing at the same time. They are interrupted by his phone ringing. He tries to ignore it; but they hang up, and call back. When he goes to kiss her again; she says, "Just answer it.
It may be important." He refuses to let her go to answer the phone; so he angles his body across the bed, and reaches for the phone. She giggles realizing what he's doing. When he looks at the caller id he sighs. But he answers. She can tell by the look on his face, he wishes he hadn't answered. By the conversation she knows it's Jane. She tries to pull away; but he doesn't want her to get up. So he continues to hold her; but she gives him a look of annoyance, and he lets her go.
She hears him talking to her, and while his tone isn't loving or attentive. The fact he's talking to her annoys her. He sees her get dressed, and walk out of the room while he's on the phone. When the call ends; he puts on a shirt, and some shorts, and goes out into the living room. He sees her standing on the balcony, holding Josie, and looking at the magnificent view.
He opens the glass door, as he asks, "Why are you out here? Come back inside." She replies, "I needed some fresh air. I don't want to come back in yet." The tone in her voice tells him she's upset. He sighs as he says, "Come inside Ker; come back inside, so we can finish what we started."
She replies, "No thanks, I'd rather stay out here a bit." He's now getting annoyed at her attitude. So he asks, "Okay, let's talk about why you're mad right now." She looks at him as she says, "I don't want to talk Tony. I am fine."
He shakes his head as he says, "So you're mad about me talking on the phone right?" She turns to face him as she says, she's you're wife. Of course she's going to call you. So how can I be mad?" He swipes his hands over his face from top to bottom out of frustration; then says, "Kerry, come on. Don't do this again." She replies, "Do what? What are you talking about?" He feels his anger rising; but he's trying to keep it under control. He says, "Forget it. I don't want to talk about it either then." He walks away, closing the door behind him, as he goes back inside, leaving her on the balcony.
Tony using her own words against her, is driving her crazy. She follows him inside; she puts Josie down, and closes the door behind her. She's angry and wants answers. She follows him into the bedroom and says, "Say what you want to say." He looks at her and says, "Why do you want me to talk? When you're not willing to talk. That makes no sense Kerry, and I am not going to fight with you about it."
She scoffs as she says, "I don't want to fight with you either; but you started this." He can't believe she's trying to put this on him. He says, "You're not doing this. You're not going to make me the bad guy here, and I am not going to buy into your sudden discomfort of me taking a call you urged me to take." She's staring at him; she knows he's right. But she didn't expect him to say it.
Both of them are ridiculously frustrated in the moment; they are now staring at each other, but are saying nothing. He's waiting for her to talk, and she's waiting for him to do the same. But neither is willing to speak; so he starts undressing. She asks, "What are you doing?" He replies, "I am going to shower."
She says, "We are in the middle of a conversation." He responds, "Really? Because it doesn't feel that way, and besides, you said you didn't want to talk. You want me to leave you alone. This is me leaving you alone!" He strips naked in front of her, and walks into the bathroom. She responds, "Do you want me to leave?"
He replies, "You've never waited to hear if that's what I wanted or not, before making that decision in the past. So what's the difference now?" He sees the look on her face; she has tears in her eyes. But he's too aggravated to respond with care. So he says, "I don't want you to go. But do what you want to do Ker." He turns around, and walks deeper into the bathroom. She hears the water turn on, and sees him step into the shower.
She watches him, as he stands under the shower head; he's clearly angry at her. Normally she'd leave; but not this time. This time she's staying, because she promised this time would be different. She manages to make it 2 minutes before she's standing behind him in the shower. He turns to her, and she's looking up at him. Both of their eyes are much kinder now.
He reaches out for her, and she steps into his arms; she hugs him, and he hugs her back. He holds her for several minutes, as they share kisses, and then he says, "Kerry, you have to stop picking a fight with me just because your parents are coming. There are easier ways to keep me out of your hair, while they visit. We already talked about me inviting the girls and Liz down. So what's with the added drama?"
She gives him a look of surprise; sometimes she hates that he knows her so well. He knows that Jane calling has never bothered her that deeply before; so why would it be enough to evoke an argument now? He's right. When her parents visit; she always pushes him away, because she's deathly afraid they will give themselves away.
Regardless of her knowing he's right. At first she thinks to deny it; but what will be the purpose? She sighs as she says, "I'm sorry baby. I hate when we fight." He replies, "Even the ones you provoke?" She responds, "Yes, especially those. If my parents find out about us T; I will be mortified."
He takes a breath as he replies, "I understand the importance of them not knowing about us Kerry. But I am not going to do the angry dance with you while they are here; just so that you can keep me at bay. I'll play the friendly coworker at work, who happens to live in the same building. But that's it." His tone is direct and firm; she likes it when he's forceful. He notices the look in her eyes shift, as she pushes up on her tip toes to kiss him.
He allows the kiss, which heats up quickly. He picks her up, as she wraps her legs around his waist, and just like that. The anger that once separated them, turns in to passionate love making.
She melts into him, as he slides into her effortlessly, and they both fall into a seamless ebb and flow, that elicits a bevy of moans from both of them. She stares into his eyes as he presses her back against the wall, and pounds her hard and deep. Their panting, and thrusting mindlessly, as they race toward the edge.
