As Kerry sits in hair and make-up she's in thought. It's been a wild five days; she knew things would be a challenge with their families visiting, but she couldn't have predicted this in a million years. Her parents arrived and all was well; they decided to stay in a hotel nearby, because her father needs to be near a data center for work.
The cast and crew love them, and they even paired well with Tony's family. It was a great time right from the start; her parents were able to see her work, and also able to spend time with her and her coworkers.
Everything was fine, until two days ago, when she woke up completely clothed. But with Columbus in her apartment, appearing to have slept over, and her mother and father knocking at her door. She is still trying to shake herself from the discussion that was had, once he left.
In addition to the embarrassment of Columbus seeing her naked. Apparently, her explanation of what happened, after getting the story from Columbus, was satisfactory. But it surely didn't sit well with her parents at all. Despite her explaining this wasn't a regular occurrence.
They wrapped late on set, and her parents had gone to their hotel for the night. Tony wasn't shooting that day, so he spent the day with his daughters and his sister. She was going to call him, to see if they could have a late night meeting.
However, she remembered they'd traveled to Big Sur for the day. So that wasn't an option. The crew had pressed her about not hanging out with them yet; so she gave in and went clubbing with them.
Several hours and too many drinks later, Columbus helped her get home and stayed over-night to make sure she was okay. When Columbus woke up he decided to shower and make breakfast before waking her, and that's what she walked in on.
She woke up, not able to remember much. After stumbling out of bed, and into the kitchen. She realized she was still fully dressed, except for her shoes. As she looks down the hall, she sees the light on in the bathroom. She instantly smiles, thinking its Tony. She thought he probably showered in the hall bathroom, to prevent waking her.
She strips as she walks toward the bathroom, and when she reaches the door. She is completely naked and the door swings open. To her surprise, it's not who she thought it was, and it's certainly not what he expected either. They both scream and she scrambles to find something to cover her body, as he closes the door.
She yells, "Oh my god! What are you doing in my bathroom?" He replies, "I am showering like normal people. Why are you walking around naked? Do you greet everyone that way?" She is embarrassed and furious at the same time that he's making jokes at a time like this. "Damn it Colby, this isn't funny!" He replies, "You know I crack jokes when I am nervous Kerry. I didn't mean anything by it."
She knows he's telling the truth. She wants to stay mad, but how could she be mad? She hears him ask, "Are you dressed yet?" She replies, "Yes, I am. Come out here please." He opens the door and she's standing in the living room, at the end of the hall. When he approaches her he's smiling and she shakes her head as she throws a pillow from the couch at him.
She says, "Stop laughing Colby." He responds, "Okay, I will stop. But first let me say, you are smoking hot." She cracks a smile and he says, "Come on, take the compliment." She responds, "Whatever Colby. I can't believe this happened. What is going on?"
He replies, "Clearly you don't remember, so I am glad I decided to see you home last night." She replies, "Oh God, what happened?" He tells her how they tied on a few drinks at the club, and she was in no condition to drive.
So he took her home and stayed with her. But the night didn't end so smoothly, because she was upset she couldn't get in contact with Tony. The cell signal in Big Sur is scarce, so she would only get his voicemail.
As he tells her the story, her eyes light up as she says, "Oh God. Did I leave messages?" He smiles as he says, "Man did you ever. I took the phone after the third message." She puts her head in her hands and says, "Three messages, Colby why did you let me do that?"
He responds, "Kerry, I didn't know you were going to go there, and by the time I realized what you were saying, it was too late." She replies, "What did I say?" He responds, "I can't even repeat it Kerry. But let's just say, when he gets those messages you and him are going to have a blast."
She responds, "Oh my God! This is a nightmare. What am I going to do? He's going to be mortified getting those messages." Columbus says, "Kerry, calm down, we've all left a few drunken voicemails before. It will be fine." She replies, "I've never done that before. I have no idea where that came from." He responds, "It came from those five shots of tequila you had. You were lit like a Christmas tree girl."
She says, "You're not helping Colby." He replies, "Seriously, it's no big deal. He will get the messages. He will listen to them a few times and laugh about it with you later. Trust me, nobody has to know about last night except you and him." She asks, "What about the cast? They were there too." He replies, "Yeah, but they didn't know how drunk you were. I covered for you, and got you out of there before you said anything bad."
Kerry says, "Really?" He replies, "Yes, I caught you before you had a chance to say to Bellamy, what you said to me in the car about her." She has her hands clasped over her mouth as she says, "Oh no Colby." He replies, "Relax, I am serious she will never know you called her everything but a child of God, as we drove away." His laughter makes her laugh. She doesn't want to laugh, but he forces her to.
He sees her catching on to his response, and afterwards he says, "Don't be so serious Kerry. If you always take yourself too seriously, you will miss out on how fun life can be." She smiles at him as she says, "You're a good friend Colby." He replies, "Yes, I am, and don't you forget it."
They share a grin, as they sit down to eat the breakfast he'd prepared, her parents knocked on the door. Which furthered her embarrassment as he briefed them on the events of the night, without the drunken talk being mentioned.
That situation did put somewhat of a damper on the day going forward. Her parents were disappointed and unsure of what to make of her actions. Despite them saying, it would be fine, she could tell things were different. They spent the day at the set, and were rather quiet, which stressed her to a degree.
She tried to keep her cool, because she soon noticed Colby was right. The cast were oblivious to her drunkenness. So apparently he did get her out of there right on time. They were all super nice and polite as always; so either they were keeping their thoughts to themselves, or they had no clue she was heavily inebriated. She wasn't sure which story it was, but whatever it was they were able to work without it being a factor, and that's the most important thing.
Despite maintaining a professional decorum at work; she wasn't able to be completely unbothered in her personal life. When Tony called her after hearing her messages, he thought she'd be happy to hear from him. But she wasn't in the mood to talk, and they ended up being at odds.
He thought she fell back into her old thinking, of keeping him at bay, while her parents were visiting. But she didn't have the patience to explain her mood. So she let it be. Which has led her to her current situation, of them not speaking at all for the last twenty four hours.
The only good thing she can think of about today, is that her parents are leaving this afternoon. She's thinking that once they leave, she can get things back on track with Tony, and they can get this whole thing behind them. However, she's rather nervous because she's texted him three times this morning.
