She listens to the tape and hears herself, one message after the other. She covers her face as she listens. She can't believe how graphic she's being on the tape. She described every step of what she likes and how she likes it, and how she wants him to give it to her. Leaving nothing to the imagination or any room for misunderstanding.
When the messages stop; she's left feeling some embarrassment, but she's not completely freaked out. Because he's now holding her from behind, with his arms wrapped around her, and Josie is sitting in her lap. He feels the tension in her body lessening, and says, "It's not so bad right?" She turns toward him, still holding Josie.
She smiles as she says, "Tony I was drunk as hell." He laughs and she laughs too. She truly was gone with the wind, and after listening to the messages. There were some sexy parts, but there were more funny parts than anything.
He loves the fact that she's laughing about this, and they are able to laugh together. She thinks about Colby's comment. He was right, they are able to laugh about this and move past it.
He says to her, "I'm glad you can find the humor in this babe." She replies, "Well a good friend told me that I shouldn't take myself so seriously all the time." He responds, "That's good advice." She replies, "I agree. He has his moments."
He says, "Speaking of Columbus, he told me you had an expletive filled rant about Bellamy on the way home." Her face contorts as she says, "Oh my god, he did tell you everything. I truly don't remember saying any of it. But I am sure I used some colorful language."
He smiles at her as he says, "You being jealous is adorable, but you being drunk and jealous is insanely entertaining, and I am glad he had the good sense to save you from yourself." She sighs with relief, she's glad he's not mad at her. She says, "I owe Colby big time; he really saved me." He responds, "Yeah, he did."
Feeling the mood lighten; they decide to sit back and eat. She's hungry too. So he serves the pizza and he sips on his apple juice, while she sips on her tea. They talk about their day today on the set.
He asks, "What did you think about the first few scenes today of the episode?" She replies, "I loved them babe. My mom loved it too. She said we looked and sounded amazing." He responds, "Yeah, she mentioned it to me too; she said it was super romantic."
She replies, "Yes it was, and kind of reminiscent don't you think?" After he finishes his bite and takes a sip of his drink; he smiles as he says, "You mean like the way you captivated me." She grins as she says, "Yes." Her smile is beaming, and she has some bashfulness in her eyes.
She looks adorable, as he says, "I couldn't stop staring at you. You truly took my breath away." The way he's looking at her; she is swept up in his baby blues, just like she was when he held her in his arms for the first time.
She remembers the day very well; she was on Capitol Hill, and she bumped into him, as he was coming out of a door she was going through. She almost fell when he bumped her. But he caught her, and prevented her from falling.
However, the stickers and pamphlets she had in her hand went flying, and he desperately helped her pick up each one, and reorganize them in the boxes. When he put the last one in the box; their eyes met again, and they must have stared at each other for what felt like an hour. Before they crashed back to reality.
Eventually the reality bell rung loud, and they snapped out of their haze. He realized after looking at the literature she was carrying, they were on the same team. She was there for one of the democratic fundraisers.
As a result they walked into the meeting room together, and ended up talking for most of the night. He remembers going home that night and not being able to think about anything from that day, except meeting her, and she had to admit, he was on her mind as well.
As they both fall out of their thoughts he says, "That was an incredible moment." She replies, "Yes, it was." They share a smile and finish eating their pizza. After they finish their meal, Josie is begging for a walk, and they feel that walking off the pizza isn't a bad idea. So they take her for a walk.
They walk their usual route with her, and they talk about how she left things with her parents. She explains her feelings from the other night, being short with him. He lets her know he understands, and all is forgiven. She promises to get better at conveying her feelings, instead of pushing him away.
He hears her, but he knows she's not being honest. She's a control freak, and when faced with the possibility of not having control, she panics and shuts down, and pushes people away. She also uses situations of convenience to hide the truth of the moment.
She sees him thinking after she speaks and asks, "T, what's wrong?" He replies, "Nothing's wrong Ker, I just want us to communicate better. I am tired of fighting for no reason, other than one of us not hearing the other person out."
She has to admit he's right. How she handled this was wrong. As they enter the building, returning from the walk. She stops him in the elevator bay, and says, "I'm sorry babe. I was wrong for how I handled this, and I can do better."
He replies, "I know you can Ker. We both can, it's not just on you. We both have to work on this. We can't keep leaving the other to muddle through their feelings, just because we are feeling emotional." She looks up at him and says, "I hear you and I agree with you. It's time we put a stop to it, namely me."
He wasn't trying to lay it all at her feet, but she's right. That's her motive all day. He says, "We are in this together Ker." She smiles as she says, "Yes, we are." After she presses the button, they share a quick kiss, and step onto the elevator.
As they walk into his condo; his phone rings, and he answers. It's Tess, she tells him they are on their way over. He relays the news to Kerry, and they shower and change clothes. As they set up for company, Kerry gets a text from her mother that they made it back to New York.
After picking out a movie to watch; there's a knock on the door, and in walks Liz, Tess, and Anna. They are greeted with hugs, and they settle into the living room. The ladies share their pictures of the fashion show they went to, as well as some of the fashions they purchased.
Kerry is in awe of the dresses both Anna and Tess purchased, and how cute they look in them. While Kerry talks with the girls, Tony and Liz are in the kitchen prepping the plates for the food. Liz picked up Thai food, on the way over.
As they plate the food; Liz says, "So how is it playing house?" He responds, "It's good. Why do you ask?" She replies, "Just checking in, that's all brother. I'm glad you two are happy." He replies, "Thanks Liz. We owe a lot of that to you. You've been a big help."
She smiles as she says, "What are sisters for? Besides, you being happy makes me happy." They share a sibling hug, and go into the living room carrying the food and discussing them leaving this evening.
They decide to eat together, instead of watching a moving while they eat. The girls talk about their impending plans of school and work. Tony beams as they both talk about their plans in depth. Kerry enjoys hearing the girls each describe their ideas for their futures, but takes the most enjoyment in seeing how proud Tony is. He listens intently, and asks questions. He's completely engaged in his girls, he's a true daddy in every sense of the word.
