Taking her first steps onto the pier leading to Vermilion City, Glitchy began her return to Kanto by re-exploring the city. She look forward to seeing what has changed in her absence. Then she saw Suicune standing on the water. As she approaches the legendary Pokémon, then Eusine runs towards them scaring Suicune off.

"That was close! I thought I could corner it by ambushing it here. But running on water… is beyond me. Still I am starting to see a pattern. That means…" Eusine thinks aloud then turns to face Glitchy, "sorry, Glitchy! I've got to go!" and with that he leaves.

"And here I thought we left him back in Johto… when did Suicune leave Cianwood City?" Glitchy thinks to herself, "no matter, we have more important things to do"

Glitchy walks through the city, quickly finding the Pokémon Fan Club. She remembers when she spoke to the Chairman back during her journey through Kanto. After hearing his original rambles about Rapidash he had given her a bike voucher.

"What ever did happen to my original bike? I guess we must have left it behind during the move" she shrugs and heads inside.

She quickly finds the Chairman and approaches him.

"Hey Chairman"

"Why hello Glitchy, long time no see. I've raised over one hundred and fifty Pokémon. I'm very fussy when it comes to Pokémon. Did you visit just to hear about my Pokémon" he asks.

"You know it~"

"Good! Listen up! So… my precious Rapidash… it's… cute… lovely… smart… adorable… irresistible… plus… amazing… don't you think so? Oh, so wild… beautiful… kind… I love it! Hug it… it's warm and cuddly… oh, it's…. spectacular… captivating… simply divine… I treasure it… oops! Look at the time! I've kept you too long! Thanks for hearing me out again. I want to give you this present" he gifts her with a rare candy.

Glitchy heads out the fan club, "still loves his Rapidash. Some things never change"

She remembers during her travels seeing a construction site and decides to see how far along they have gotten. She runs over to find they had done nothing. Machop is still preparing the land of construction of… something. She can only hope they were paying them well to just stomp around and do nothing.

"My Pokémon is preparing the land for construction" the old man explains

"I know, your Machop was doing that last time we spoke"

"But I have no money to start the project"

"Wh… what? Th… then what have you been doing all this time?"

"Preparing the land, can't you see?"

"S-sure… of course… I'm gonna… go over there" Glitchy backs away slowly and rushes away from him.

Glitchy decides to check out Diglett Cave only to discover the bane of the existence laying at the entrance. There lay Snorlax, napping away as if it wasn't an inconvenience for anyone. She whips out her radio and attempts to play the PokéFlute station only to find she couldn't access the station. Defeated, she turns around and heads back to the city. Then she remembers there is one thing she can do now.

She heads to Lt. Surge's gym and proceeds to battle all the trainers whilst solving his bin puzzle. It is just as annoying as she remembers it, she still hates it. After several attempts she finally came face to face to Lt. Surge.

"I challenge Lt. Surge!" Glitchy announces.

"Hey, you little tyke! It may not be smart to challenge me, but it takes guts. When it comes to Electric-type Pokémon, I'm number one. I've never lost on the battlefield, I'll zap you just like I do all my enemies in battle" Lt. Surge responds and starts with his Raichu.

"Okay Slushie, its all on you. Lets show them your Earthquake" Glitchy commands.

Raichu tries to outrun Slushie with double-team but earthquake proves to be too much for them. Next up is his Magneton which Edgar takes down with psybeam. Slushie comes back out to face his Electrode with earthquake. Slushie then earthquakes his Electabuzz and Electrode. Glitchy won her ninth badge.

"Arrrgh! You are strong!" Lt. Surge yells

"And you love double-team too much" Glitchy sighs.

"Okay kid. You get the Thunder Badge"

Glitchy receives a second Thunder Badge and Tm34, shock wave.

"When you go north, you will see a big city called Saffron" Lt. Surge suggests.

Glitchy nods and heads out, her sights set on Saffron City.
