Pokémon Glitchy Return to Kanto Chapter 3, a pokémon fanfic

Glitchy arrives in Saffron City and began by talking to the people around the city.

"Hi, I came from Johto" Glitchy tells the first person she saw, "this is my new greeting"

"You came from Johto?" the man asks, getting a nod from the trainer, "you can zip back home by hopping on the Magnet Train"

"There's a train? I have to see this"

Glitchy went to look for the train station to see the train that can transport her back to Johto. On the way she finds Mr Psychic's House. His sign read 'don't call me Uncle Psychic!'

"I wasn't going to… I'm talking to a sign…" Glitchy sighs and walks inside.

Speaking to Mr Psychic, he gifts her with the TM for psychic. She thanks him for the gift and heads back out.

Glitchy finds Saffron City Station and heads inside to have a peek at the Magnet Train. The station look busy with many people waiting for the train. She decides to try and speak to a few of the passengers at the station.

"Before the Magnet Train Station was built, there was a house here. A little girl who was called Copycat used to live in it" a woman tells her

"where did she go when the station was built?" Glitchy wonders.

"The Magnet Train is a super-modern rail liner that uses electricity and magnets to attain incredible speeds. However, there isn't any electricity. Its just an iron box" a man tells her

A little girl runs over to her "hi. Do you have a Magnet Train Pass?"

"No… I guess I need one?" Glitchy asks

"I have one"

"Good for you?"

"All the people in Saffron who ride the Magnet Train have passes"

"Good for all of you? Is there a point to all this besides I need one?" Glitchy asks, getting no answer, "okay… moving on"

Glitchy approaches the Station Master to learn more about the Magnet Train Pass.

"This is a problem!" the Station Master said

"I know, I don't have a Magnet Train Pass" Glitchy responds

"No, not that! The machine at the Power Plant is broken, and we're not receiving electricity! I don't know how long it will be until we can get the Magnet Train going" the Station Master tells her

"So… there's problems with the Power Plant. I should go and check it out. If I remember rightly, it was located near Rock Tunnel, past Cerulean City" Glitchy thinks as she makes her way out of the Station.

With a new goal in mind, Glitchy makes her way to the Power Plant. She makes a point to heal up her Pokémon at the nearby Pokémon Centre. There she runs into a scientist.

"Hey, have you been to the Power Plant recently?" Glitchy asks

"The last time I came by the Power Plant, I heard somebody screaming, 'oh no, it must be a thief!' I think it was the Manager's voice" he tells her

"And you did… nothing… guess it's up to me once again to sort things out" she sighs as she makes her way back out

Surfing on Tidus, Glitchy makes her way to the Power Plant. Inside she speaks to a Police Officer standing guard.

"A thief broke into the Power Plant… what is the world coming to?" they asks

"Couldn't tell you, I had to beat Team Rocket again not that long ago" Glitchy says

Glitchy finds another Police Office who tells her, "the Power Plant's Manager is up ahead. But since someone wrecked the generator, he's been both sad and, at times, furious… sometimes he would burst out laughing out of desperation. We've had to go through so much…"

Glitchy begins to feel bad for him. She walks up to him, hoping to offer to help him catch the thief.

"I-I-I'm ready to blast something!" the Manager yells

"Please, calm down, I'm here to help" Glitchy tells him, trying to reassure him

"Who would dare steal a part from the generator? I spent so much time fixing it! If I catch him, he's going to see what I can do with my Charge Beam!"

Glitchy sighs, she feels like she is unable to get through to him so decides to ask his employees for help. She just needs a clue, anything to help her find the thief.

"Someone made off with a part that's essential for the generator. Without it, the new generator's useless" one employee tells her

"The Magnet Train consumes a lot of electricity. It can't move if the new generator isn't operating" another tells her

"This Power Plant had been abandoned in the past. We got it back up and running to provide power to the Magnet Train" another tells her

"Until someone stole a key component for the generator… I guess I have to look else where for clues" Glitchy tells herself

Just as she was about to leave, she overhears one of the employees speak to a Police Officer of a call they had just gotten.

"I just got word from Cerulean. It appears that a shady character has been loitering around" they tell the Police Office

The Office notice Glitchy has not yet left and approaches her, "could I ask for your cooperation?"

Glitchy nods, "what do you need me to do?"

"The shady character was hanging around the Cerulean Gym" the Police Office tells her

Glitchy nods and makes her way to the Cerulean Gym. Upon arriving at the gym, she couldn't find any shady character outside. Speaking to a man close by she learns they had gone inside the gym. Going inside, the thief runs right into her and, to no surprise, he is a Rocket Grunt. He jumps back in surprise when he sees her.

"Oops, I so sorry. You not hurt, okay? I very busy. No time for talking with you. Not good for me if seen by somebody" the grunt tells her then realises something, "oh no! You seen me already! I make big mistake! Hey, you. Forget you see me, okay? You seen, heard, nothing, okay? Bye! Bye-bye a go-go!"

The strange Rocket Grunt runs out the door. Despite seeming like a nice guy, Glitchy has no option but to pursue him for the missing component. She pursues him, finding him on Nugget Bridge. Upon seeing her, he hid between two people so she taps him on the shoulder. She didn't want to harm him.

"Oh no! Hiding I was, but you did me found in no time… me only from another country. Yet! No big business, okay? Think I did, if stop the energy, be big panic and unlucky for here people. Secret it is my mission, so tell you I not! But! If win you do versus me, a man I be and mine secret to you tell. You understand? Battle begin we do!"

The strange Rocket Grunt sends out his Golbat which Glitchy combats with Gatcha. Gatcha uses bite against it, defeating the Pokémon in two hits and winning the surprise battle.

"Okay. Tell you mine secret will I. Machine Part steal by me. Hide it I did in gym of the Cerulean. Near inflatable tube put it I did. Look for gym at. But you forget me not! Beat you for sure will Team Rocket" he tells her, "come from Johto will they, mine allies, yes. Will revenge they are"

"I'm sorry to break it to you but… Team Rocket has disbanded" Glitchy tells him "… You say what? Team Rocket bye-bye a go-go? Broke up it is says you?" he asks

Glitchy nods, "Team Rocket go by-bye a go-go"

"Oh, no! Should I do what now on from, me?" "Start over? Rebuild your life, do something… good?"

"... okay. I my country go home. Make Team Rocket I will. Good-bye! So long!" he rushes off

"Or do that… you could do that…" Glitchy sighs and heads to the gym.

Glitchy finds the Machine Part by the inflatable tube just like the Rocket Grunt had told her. She picks up the black item and carefully places it in her bag then makes her way back to the Power Plant.

Glitchy returns the stolen part to the Manager, "ah! Yeah! The thing you have… is the part that was stolen from my beloved generator? You found it? Thank you so much! Now all I have to do is… attached this part here…" once the missing part is back in the pace the generator came back to life. "Whirrrrr! Yes, it's running! Whirrr, whirrr! Wahah! Thanks! Here! Go ahead and take this TM as a reward!" he gives her TM57.

With the Power Plant up and running again, she makes her way back to Saffron City to give the Station Manager the good news.

"Thanks to someone who got the Power Plant up and running, the Magnet Train is available again! Passengers need to go through the gate for the automatic ticket check" he tells her

"So… I still need a ticket… guess I need to go find one cause buying one would be far too easy" Glitchy sighs and heads out

As she leaves the station, she remembers passengers speak about a girl called Copycat who use to live where the Station now stands. It was a long shot but she decides to go speak to her. Glitchy quickly manages to find her new home and finds her in her room. As soon as she taps her shoulder, the girl transforms herself into… Glitchy.

"Hi! I heard that you lost your cherished Poké Doll. If I find it, you'll give me a Magnet Train Pass? I'll go find it for you, You think you lost it when you went to Vermilion City?" she transforms back into Copycat "pardon? I shouldn't decide what you should do? But I'm really worried… what if someone finds it?"

"I… I didn't say anything but thanks for the instructions… I'll just go there now" Glitchy slowly backs out Copycat's room and out her house.

Glitchy heads to Vermilion City to look for Copycat's doll. She decides to see if anyone in the Pokémon Fan Club had found it first. Lucky enough, a man inside had found it and had decided to keep it due to being unable to catch a Clefairy of his own. Glitchy quickly explains the doll already has an owner who is missing it dearly.

"What?! The girl who lost this Poké Doll is sad…! Okay, could you take this Poké Doll back to that poor little girl?" he asks and Glitchy nods, "I'll befriend a real Clefairy on my own one day" he gives her the doll

"Good lucky with that" Glitchy places the doll in her back

As Glitchy heads out of the Pokémon Fan Club, a man approaches her,

"Hi! My name is Steven" he says

"Hi, is this how you make friends? I've just been throwing Pokéball at everyone I meet. No wonder I don't have many friends"

"The Champion from the Hoenn region"

"Oh, you had more to say… Hoenn region?"

"Have we met… before? That's not possible. All the trainers I have battled seem to have the same look. Especially the ones who gave me tough battles…by the way, have you heard of a Pokémon called Latios? I am investigating why Latios, a Pokémon from Hoenn, decided to leave Hoenn to come here"

"No but it looks awesome… wait do I have another weirdo following me now? I already have a stalker, I don't need two"

"Latios is a Pokémon that has a lot to do with Soul Dew, a gemlike orb"

"And he's ignoring me. I have a doll to return so could you please…"

"Considering the fact that Latios is now in Kanto, it is possible to assume that this has to do with Soul Dew. Latios is a Pokémon that travels a great distance. It'll be difficult to find without any machine to track it with. But any trainer will be drawn to it, won't they?"

"Listen, I haven't even looked for the legendary dogs, they just run into me then run away. So shouldn't it be the other way round, you know, Pokémon are drawn to trainers?"

"I must go. May our journeys cross again" Steven then leaves Glitchy

"How about no. Goodness, people just won't leave me alone. Now to give Copycat her doll back for a ticket"

Glitchy quickly heads back to Copycat's home in Saffron City.

"Yay! That's my Clefairy Poké Doll!" she gleefully takes her doll from Glitchy, "see the tear where the right arm is sewn on? That's proof! Okay, I'll give you this Magnet Train Ticket Pas as promised!"

Copycat gave Glitchy the ticket which she puts in her bag.

"The rail-company man gave me that when they tore down our old house for the station"

"Good to know, now if you'll excuse me"

Glitchy quickly makes her way to the station, shows her ticket to the barrier then boards the train. One train journey later, she finds herself back in Goldenrod,

"That was fun" Glitchy says with a smile on her face, "back to Kanto, I still have stuff to do"Glitchy arrives in Saffron City and began by talking to the people around the city.
