Glitchy enters the Dojo-style gym next to Sabrina's gym out of curiosity. Inside she meets the owner who is more than happy to greet her.
"Karate King, the Fighting Dojo's master, is in a cave in Johto for further training" he tells her
With nothing else to do in the older gym, she leaves and heads next door to challenge Sabrina instead. Navigating the maze-like teleporting gym the long way, defeating any trainers in her way, she finally reaches Sabrina and her psychic Pokémon.
"I knew you were coming…" Sabrina tells her
"You probably saw me use all those teleporting pad things to get here" Glitchy says
"Three years ago I had a vision of your arrival"
"Three years ago? What was I doing three years ago?"
"You're after my badge"
"You didn't need to envision my arrival three years ago to know that. Anyone and everyone wanting to challenge the league need your badge… unless you didn't have a gym three years ago"
"I don't enjoy battling, but it's my duty as a Gym Leader to confer Badges on anyone who has proven him or herself worthy. Since you wish it, I will show you my psychic powers!"
"So… your Pokémon's psychic powers? You're a confusing gym leader"
Sabrina starts off with her Espeon against Max. Max took her Pokémon down with a sucker punch then faces against her Alakazam with another sucker punch, once he was able to hit them, and fly. Gatcha takes over afterwards to take on her Mr. Mime, taking them down with a couple of bites.
"Your power… if far exceeds what I foresaw… maybe it isn't possible to fully predict what the future holds… okay, you win. You earned yourself the Marsh Badge" Sabrina presents Glitchy with said badge along with TM48
Glitchy leaves Sabrina's gym and heads to Nugget Bridge in Cerulean City. There were no trainers to battle on the bridge itself but there was a new challenge on the way to Bill's House curiously named Sea Cottage. Battle and defeat all six to win a fabulous prize. Glitchy agrees to take up this challenge and proceeds to defeat all six. Her prize, a nugget and one more battle with Tidus has no trouble taking on. Although she did come across Misty who had been on a date until she scares him away just by breathing.
"Aww! Why did you have to show up and bug us now? Do you know what they call people like you?" Misty asks
"Bad timers? Living?" Glitchy shrugs
"Pests! You heard me right, pest! Oh? Those badges you have, are they Johto Gym Badges?"
Glitchy nods, "Tidus has tried to eat them on several occasions so they're kinda… slobbery"
"If you have eight, you must be good"
"And you can't count cause I currently have ten"
"Okay then. Come to Cerulean Gym. I'll be happy to take you on. I'm Misty, the Gym Leader in Cerulean" Misty then leaves and heads back to her gym in Cerulean
"so my breathing interrupts a date and now I can get my eleventh badge from a gym leader who failed at maths…" Glitchy sighs as Tidus looks at her badge case, "no, you still can't eat them"
Glitchy heads to Misty's gym and makes her way to Misty herself.
"I was expecting you, you pest! You may have a lot of Johto Gym Badges, but you'd better not take me too lightly. My water type Pokémon are tough!" Misty tells her
"As is my electric type Pokémon, go get her Miles!"
Miles goes up against Misty's Golduck, taking them down with a Thunderpunch. Gatcha takes on her Quaqsire with Dragon Rage. Miles takes down her Lapras with Thunderpunch then Edgar defeats her Starmie, earning Glitchy her eleventh badge.
"You really are good, I'll admit that you are skilled. Here you go, it's the Cascade Badge" Misty presents Glitchy with the badge and TM03
Glitchy makes her way out of Misty's gym. She decides to head to Rock Tunnel and make her way to Lavender Town.
