It's late Friday night and Kerry is preparing for bed. Her thoughts are with her love. Having just spoken to him, she misses him terribly. But, he had to go check on his dad. He hadn't been to see him, since they started shooting. Despite knowing he'll be back tomorrow, she's cringing at the thought of sleeping alone tonight.

As she looks at her empty bed, she calls Josie over to sleep with her, and her phone rings. She looks at the caller id and smiles as she answers, "So now you two are tag teaming me?"

The voice replies, "That definitely didn't sound right." Kerry giggles as she replies, "I'm sorry. You're right. That sounded really weird." They share a laugh, and Kerry climbs into bed and gets comfortable, with Josie lying next to her.

Liz asks, "So by your response, I take it you've been on the phone with Tony?" She responds, "Yeah, we just hung up. He said he and Robert were about to go grab a drink and then he was heading to bed."

Liz replies, "Well, you know he has to have his knight cap before bed." They smile and giggle in agreement. Feeling the need to check up on her, Liz says, "So how are you doing after seeing Jane today?" She sighs as she responds, "I am doing much better after our chat earlier, and after Tony and I talked again before he left." Liz hears the strength in her voice, and is happy to hear her settling back in, and wants to reassure her.

She says, Kerry, you know I've got your back right?" She smiles as she says, "Yes, I do Liz, and I really appreciate the support. But honestly, this is about me and about how I am choosing to let her affect me. I know it seems silly to be going through this now. It's not like I haven't been around her before; you must think I am crazy."

Liz replies, "No, I don't think you're crazy. I think you're perfectly normal, and this situation is what's crazy. I certainly can't blame you for being emotional about it. She's gone with the wind one moment, and blows in like a sudden bad storm the next, just to get a rise out of people." Kerry can't help but laugh, and Liz is glad she's finding the humor in her words. It shows she's moving through it.

Liz says, "So I heard she was in rare form while on the set." Kerry replies, "Yes, she was. She and one of her colleagues were quite chatty on set, and insisted that Tony join them for lunch." Liz responds, "Yeah, she went all out, and I am sure it was in front of everyone right?" Kerry replies, "Yes, of course. So he had to accept, which he did. But I didn't give her what she was looking for. I merely smiled, and remained calm until I got to my trailer."

Liz replies, "Good for you Kerry. I am glad you didn't let her see you upset." Kerry responds, "Me too. I just wish she'd stop doing things like this. The sudden pop ups drive me nuts, and are so unnecessary." Liz replies, "I agree. But it's all she has Kerry. She knows that as long as people believe they're happily married publicly, her appearance will always cause a stir. It's basic manipulation."

Kerry agrees with her and says, "I guess you stick with what works, when you don't have many tricks to play huh?" Liz responds, "I guess so. But that trick is getting old, and needs to be retired. Tony has done right by her, and given her what she's asked. They've lived separately, and he's been discreet. This agreement has benefitted both of them over the years, quite well. So her selfishness in attempting to inconvenience him, bugs the hell out of me."

Liz's protective nature concerning Tony makes Kerry smile; Kerry knows she'd do anything for her brother, and he feels the same way about her. Kerry admires their friendship and their kinship. Being an only child; she doesn't know what it's like to be a sibling, or have one. Other than her relationship with Colby.

Kerry says, "It's aggravating for sure Liz. But, it's a part of the situation, and I have to own it. I'm not backing away from Tony because of this; it's going to be different this time. So she can continue to do what she does, and we will continue to do what we do." Liz smiles as she says, "I am so glad you said that Kerry. He really would end this if you asked him to."

Kerry replies, "I know, and I know that you're probably wondering about my motives right?" Liz responds, "No, I'm not. I get it. You're not ready yet to stand in your truth publicly, because of the possible professional and personal repercussions you'd face, and although I think you'd survive it. It's not about me, it's about you. I think you'll do it when you're ready."

Kerry settles with her words, and says, "Thanks for being so understanding Liz; I can always count on you to put things in perspective, and give me support, or a kick when I need it." Liz smiles as she responds, "What are friends for girlie? You know I've got your back. Her visit was nothing more than a tactic to throw you off. But you have no reason to be thrown."

Kerry responds, "I know, and I feel silly for getting worked up about it afterwards; because I know it's her game." She responds, "Yeah it is, you've just got to continue to stay calm, and play your hand. Don't let her see you panic, because if you do. She will continue to do things to make you uncomfortable more often."

Kerry listens to her, and it makes sense. It's the same thing Tony said to her too. She's got to let it go and embrace the situation for what it is completely, so she can stop giving her leverage. Feeling even better about her feelings concerning this. Kerry says, "I am slowly but surely coming into a better understanding of all of this, and I am hopeful everything shapes up soon."

Liz responds, "I am sure it will. But enough about that craziness. Let's talk about your work and the upcoming press tour you two are going on." Kerry laughs as she says, "It's so amazing Liz. We have four different photo shoots lined up, as well as several appearance dates in New York, as well as here in LA to get pub for the show. Not to mention the material we're working with. It's so eerie sometimes how real it feels."

Liz responds, "I am so excited for you two Kerry. Tony was beaming about it today. He says the latest few episodes are quite powerful. You're not done shooting the season yet are you?" She replies, "No, not yet. We will be finished in the next week. The first season only has seven episodes. We have our watch party tomorrow for the last episode."

Liz smiles as she hears her accomplishment and excitement in her voice and says, "Yeah, Tony told me about the trail. He says it's sure to be the hottest scene he's ever done on camera." Kerry beams with glee, he told her the same thing, and she has to admit it's definitely her hottest scene too. Most likely because it's with him.

She responds, "Yes, I will have to agree with him on that Liz. I didn't notice until after the fact, but Shonda wasn't present at the end of the shoot. I later found out it was because it was too hot for her to stay in the room."
