Glitchy returns to Vermilion City and to the Snorlax blocking Diglett's Cave. Fiddling around the her radio, she finds the Poké Flute channel and uses it to wake the large Pokémon up. Tidus went up against the wild Snorlax, hitting it Crunch a few times. Once weakened, Glitchy attempts to catch the Snorlax with an Ultra Ball. Upon her success she names it Slaxton and sends it to the PC. With the way now clear, she makes her way through Diglett's Cave towards Pewter City.

She heads to the Museum of Science. She learns the Museum is currently free due to most of the exhibits being displayed in other museums. Fossils and small bones are currently on display but nothing of much interest as it stands. She decides to speak to some of the other visitors inside the museum.

"There are two places that I love, One is the Ruins of Alph in Johto. The other is the Pewter Museum, It's so quiet and makes me feel calm. Do you feel it's admirable history silently creeping up on you?" on woman asks

"Yeah, it is nice here" Glitchy replies before moving on

"They say that meteorites struck somewhere near Pewter City, We would love to display them here in our museum but… these meteorites are said to emit strange energy and cannot be carried away" a scientist tells her

"I should be grateful for my long life. Never did I think I would get to see the bones of a dragon" an elderly man tells her

"It is pretty exciting" Glitchy says back

She soon comes across a scientist who claims he can bring fossils back to life. He suggests smashing rocks back in the Ruins of Alph and other places in order to try and find some. With nothing else to do, Glitchy leaves the Museum and heads to Pewter City's gym to challenge Brock to his gym badge.

Glitchy defeats the trainers who stand in her way with Tidus' help. She soon reaches Brock and confronts the Pewter City gym leader.

"Wow, it's not often that we get a challenger from Johto. I'm Brock, the Pewter Gym Leader. I;m an expert on rock-type Pokémon. My Pokémon are impervious to most physical attacks. You'll have a hard time inflicting ant damage" Brock states

"My water-type beg to differ" Glitch tells him

"Come on!"

Brock starts off with Graveler so Glitchy sends out Gatcha. Gatcha uses surf against his Graveler which soon falls. Next up he sends out Omastar which Gatcha takes down with another surf. Edgar goes against his Kabutops, using Psybeam to take the one fossil Pokémon down. Next up is his Onix which Tidus takes out with surf. Finally Gatcha takes out his Rhyhorn with surf.

"Your stronger than I expected. Go ahead, take this badge" Brock hands Glitchy the Bolder Badge, "I really enjoyed the battle with you, Glitchy. I'll give you the move Rock Slide, too. The world is huge. There are still many strong trainers like you. Just wait and see. I'm going to become a lot stronger, too"

Glitchy leaves the gym with her newly acquired Bolder Badge and TM80. She decides to set her sights on Cinnabar Island and her fifteenth badge.
