Carlisle POV

"Jasper please" Esme calls as they walk out the door without looking back.

Esme turns to me and sobs in my arms as I come to the realization that Bella is right about everything she said to us.

Edward scoffs in anger, "How is she right about everything, Carlisle?"

"For the last time Edward, stay out of my fucking head. My thoughts are my own and private for a reason."

"Carlisle, you've never had a problem with it before."

Taking a long silent look at Edward, I reply, "I've always had a problem with it Edward. I just hoped that you would mature with age over the years and learn to stay out of people's heads."

"I'm not going to argue with you right now Edward, we have more important things to discuss – like how everyone is going to be on their best behavior when they come back. Did we forget about the Volturri breathing down our necks, Alice still has not been able to see what provoked their visit."

Emmett POV

I finally speak up tired of everything, "Why don't you call Aro and see Carlisle? Maybe he'll tell you since you guys are supposed to be friends and everything, after I suppose we all could face the truth about what Bella said and admit that we were wrong in betraying Jasper and beg his forgiveness" before walking away shaking my head mumbling, "I'm going hunting."

However, the moment I am out of range I start trailing Jasper's scent to Port Angeles. Before making any decisions I wipe my mind clean and focus on hunting for the next four or five hours, anything to get away from the drama filled house where nothing is as it seems.

Sitting on a rock watching the stars I realize that even though I knew at the time that Jasper would not have wanted to hear anything, I should have stood up for him instead of remaining silent, because my silence did not help anything. All it did was make me lose my favorite brother because let's face it Edward is just a whiny pansy ass bitch.

After all the drama they caused they didn't even stay together, they fucked behind his back for years, their affair comes out into the open and the family knew all about it except for Jasper. Damn, I should have said something, anything, and now it's too late all I can do is beg his forgiveness and hope he will forgive me and allow me the chance to be back in his life.

Smelling Rose's scent coming I huff in irritation because ever since Jasper has come back it's been all about his children this, his children that, why does he get to have children, they should be mine, blah, blah, blah.

Hearing her slow to a walk, I close my eyes and try to relax so I have some amount of patience for the argument about to happen again. It makes me wonder if she is so focused on children and not being able to have them, maybe I am not enough for her anymore. If so, what does that mean for us as a couple?

Carlisle POV

Watching Emmett run out the door I think about what he has said and remember what Bella said, wondering if after everything it could be that simple. Admit to Jasper that we were wrong and maybe we are going about this situation in the wrong way.

Edward slouches onto the couch saying arrogantly, "What should we have admitted to Carlisle?"

Releasing Esme, I get angry snarling at him, "How about the truth Edward?! The fact that we all knew about your horrid affair with Alice and didn't bother telling him about it? Hell, Edward you can't even be in the same room with Bella without trying to take a bite out of her. She is Jasper's true mate and he will protect her at all costs, including destroying you."

I turn to Alice sneering, "How about you Alice, being jealous of Bella who appears to be the only one in support of Jasper."

He steps closer to Alice whispering condescendingly, "Maybe you're jealous because she now loves the person you so willingly threw away for a few moments of stolen passion."

Stepping away and lowering his head, "I can't even speak since I let you two spoiled rotten excuse of vampires control everything around us, relying on your gifts instead of running this coven like the family that it's supposed to be. You think you're special because of your gifts, well you are wrong."

"Rose, you couldn't even stand up for the brother you claim to love and now both you and Esme are making attempts to get back into his good graces because he has children."

"We all constantly look at his only other family members with contempt, anger and distaste but have never tried to see them the way Jasper sees them. Our actions today only confirmed that."

Striding away to gaze out the window Carlisle whispers lowly, "What family doesn't have faith in all of their loved ones? What kind of family are we to have treated Jasper so horrendously and expect him to forgive us so easily as if it's our right. WE wronged him, not the other way around."

Rose POV

"Edward and Alice were the two who wronged him" I spit out scathingly, "why should I apologize for anything? I had nothing to do with the breakup and pushing him out of the family. All I care about is getting to know his children and spending time with them, because of course I can't have any."

I seethe silently running out the door after Emmett hoping I can get him to listen to me so I can get closer to the children and little baby Abby.

Carlisle POV

Walking up to my study I close and lock the door before sitting down at the desk and starring at the phone. Finally I take a deep breath and pick up the phone dialing Aro's number.

Ring….Ring….Ring… "Hello"

"Hello Aro, how are you my friend?"

"Ah, Carlisle, my friend how are you? Are you prepared for our coming visit?"

"Yes, Aro that is the reason I am calling. I was wondering if you could give me any more information regarding why you are visiting."

Silence lingers on the phone before Aro asks quietly, "Do we need to come sooner Carlisle? You said you could handle bringing Jasper back into the fold? Does your family know the real reason we are coming, have you told them yet? Does Jasper know you made a deal for his little shield, your family's safety for her and Jasper?"

Carlisle sits quietly wondering how he got into this situation before clearing his throat and answering, "No, Aro they do not know the deal we made, however there are complications that have arisen. His former family are here, Peter and Charlotte and it does not look like they are going anywhere anytime soon. Also..."

"Yes Carlisle?" Aro questions.

"It appears they have made the decision to change her sooner rather than later" Carlisle says signing deeply.

"Hmm, that makes no difference, my guard can control a newborn and with Jasper being her sire he will come with her if she is threatened in any way. Also with her being his mate, he will do anything to keep her alive and whole. Have you considered using Alice to break them up or appealing to his sense for family safety?"

"I did, however at this point he is not acting like he cares about being part of this family only about his previous family."

"Hmm, no matter we will come at the same time and evaluate the situation as it stands then. When will you see them again?" Aro asks quietly.

"Probably after Bella is turned. He may need to bring her back here for assistance in keeping her from eating people in the town. I believe he will want to teach her our diet."

"Very well, and Carlisle…does he know that drinking from animals keeps him from fully using his whole gift? If he teaches her your diet, her gift will be subdued as well and that will work in both our favors. Right Carlisle?" Aro commands.

"Yes Aro, I will speak with him about that as well. But are you sure all of this is necessary just to get her for your guard?" asks Carlisle quietly.

"I know about the children, use them if you have to." Aro commands before hanging up.

Peter POV

I grab my head in pain as Charlotte hurriedly hands Abby off to Sophie and rushes over to me, running her hands through my hair as she whimpers.

"Peter are you okay?" she asks as I attempt to breathe through the information that my gift is giving me.

As the information overload slows down I sit up straight and stare at Charlotte before quietly saying, "Carlisle is going to burn and I am going to light his pyre."

Charlotte looks at him worriedly before glancing behind her to the children and whispering, "What do you know Peter? Will this affect the children?"

I take a deep breathe to answer her when I smell Jasper and Bella approaching the door. "We'll discuss this all together after Bella's change, she will only burn for one day and will be the most controlled newborn ever."

I look towards the door as it opens and Bella walks through heading straight for the children as Jasper stares at me hard.

Glancing in Bella's direction once he asks, "You received more information, Peter?"

"Yes, Jasper, lots of information, most of which you are not going to like, but we will have the advantage so it won't matter. The children will be safe until they are turned because new vampire Bella and you together will protect them from anything that comes our way."

Jasper looks at me and asks, "Why?"

I smirk darkly and say, "Because Bella's shield is going to be more powerful than we first thought, and together with you NOTHING will ever harm us again."

Before he can ask anything else I jump up and clap my hands, "Now let's get this show on the road."

Jasper looks at me for a moment before smiling and going over to gather Bella in his arms as the children huddle around them. Bella opens her arms for them as Abby toddles over and Jasper picks her up. Charlotte and I stand there gazing at them for a moment before Jasper nudges us with emotion and we walk over to join in the group hug.

Bella POV

I wake up cuddled in Jaspers arms with Abby snoring quietly beside me as I yawn and snuggle further into his arms smiling when they tighten around me.

"Good Morning, sweetheart. Are you sure about this?" Jasper asks quietly.

Throwing my leg over his I straddle his lap and gaze down at him lovingly before replying, "I have never been as sure as I am right at this moment. We are meant to be together forever and I am NEVER letting you go."

Just as I lean down to kiss him, Peter yells, "DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT! We don't have time for the two of you to get lost in each other…..remember lots to do, people to play with…" I giggle buried in Jaspers chest feeling the rumbling of his laugh.

"That's not what I meant." Peter snaps from the doorway.

"Fine, we're getting up." I say maneuvering myself out of Jaspers arms and picking up Abby who is giggling and pointing at us.

We all walk down to the kitchen where I see Sophie and Trevor eating at the table and a bowl of cereal waiting for Abby. After getting her settled in her chair and greeting Sophie and Trevor I walk over to Jasper who hands me a cup of coffee as Peter begins to explain our plans.

"First, there is more to what's happening than we thought but I think we should wait until after Bella's change to talk about that. From the information I have received your change will take about a day, maybe more and you will be able to control your bloodlust. Charlotte and I will take the children to some amusement parks for the duration of your change and you will be able to greet them upon our return. After that we will start on your self-defense training which should take about another day and a half, you will learn quickly for some reason. Then another day for relaxation and off to see the Cullen's who will be in for the shock of their lives."

All of us just look at Peter for a moment then quietly, "Okay" before heading out of the room to check out and head to the cabin we rented.

Jasper POV

"We love you Mommy," Sophie and Trevor say together while hugging Bella tightly. She squeezes them back just as tightly murmuring, "This is the last time I get to feel you as a human, I want to remember that."

Sophie and Trevor step back as Sophie says, "You'll still be our mother, nothing will change that."

Trevor looks at Sophie then back to me squeezing my hand, "Yeah, Mom."

Charlotte motions them to her while I step closer with Abby in my arms, handing her to Bella for her final goodbye I walk over and kneel in front of the twins.

"I will take care of your mother, I promise. Listen to your Aunt and Uncle and watch over Abby for us."

"Yes, Dad" they both say before leaning over to hug me tightly.

Charlotte coaxes them out of the room to stand at the door while Bella hands Abby to Charlotte before saying in a determined voice, "Let's do this."

She kisses me passionately one more time before laying down on the bed and getting comfortable. Charlotte, Peter and I approach calmly as Peter says, "Finally get to sink my teeth into you Bella and you'll taste delicious."

Charlotte smacks him in the back of the head while the children laugh as I lean over and kiss her one more time as a human.

Nuzzling my way to her neck I whisper "I love you forever" before biting down and moaning from the decadent mouthful of her blood that I swallow before filing my mouth with venom and pushing it into her then sealing the wound. As I continue to the other side of her neck, then her heart and her femoral arteries between her thighs Peter bites her wrists then the bend of her elbows and Charlotte bites her ankles and the back of her knees.

Bella whimpers once then quiets before sitting up with her eyes wide open and whispers, "Jasper we need to change our diet animal blood will make us both weak and dilute our gifts. Carlisle knows this and uses it to keep the family subdued."

I look over at Peter saying quietly, "Two of you."
