The flurry of thrusts they both unleash, leaves them both breathless, and unable to move, once their orgasmic haze kicks in, taking away their mobility. However, there's humor in the moment, as Kerry's leg continues to shake, post release. She giggles, and he smiles at her, as he asks, "Are you okay?" She replies, "Yes, another job well done." He laughs as she kisses her, and she kisses him in return.

As her body returns to normal, they cuddle for a briefly, before washing up and getting dressed again. But then he realizes, he left his watch in his room. Glad that his room is across the hall, he goes to grab it before they leave, and sees his phone on the table. He sees the flashing light, and checks it. There are several text messages, most of them being congratulatory messages from friends and family, who saw their appearances on the different talk shows this morning, as well as over the last few weeks.

However, after fingering through most of the messages, he sees there's a missed call from Jane. He wishes she'd use text messaging, but she never does. However, he's glad to see she did leave a voice mail, he takes a breath and checks the message.

From the moment he hears her voice, he knows this is one of her ranting messages. One of the ones he simply erases, and acts like he didn't receive, for the sake of the girls. He hears most of it, and the gist of it is her rambling on about him gallivanting around the city with Kerry.

He finds her alleged anger hilarious. Her gall annoys him, and instead of listening to the full message, he deletes it. If he's heard one crazed message from her, he's heard them all, so no need to hear one more.

After taking a breath, he attempts to clear his mind and think about his love. She's waiting for him, and the thought makes him smile, as he walks out the door.

Meeting Kerry in the hall, she smiles at him as he approaches, and she notices the look in his eyes, despite the smile on his face. When he's within distance she says, "I was beginning to think you left without me." He replies, "Me leave you; that will never happen." She responds, "I'm holding you to that." He replies, "Good."

She wants to ask him what's going on behind his eyes, but before she can speak, the elevator doors open, and they step on, with other people already on it. They take the elevator downstairs, and the valet has the car waiting.

As the bell hops load the car with their bags, his phone rings. By the ring tone, he knows who it is so he doesn't answer it. But she sees the look in his eyes. She says, "Why aren't you answering the phone?" He replies, "Because I don't have anything to say, and she doesn't have anything to say I want, or need to hear."

She knows now, this is what she saw in his eyes a moment ago. She's at it again. It never fails, whenever they are happiest, she shows up like a herpes flare up. The way she negatively impacts them annoys her, and it's starting to make her think that maybe it's time to put an end to this.

But does she have the courage to say the words. Can she say the words that will undoubtedly change everything? You can't unwring that bell once it happens. So she'd better be sure.

Thanks again for continuing to follow the story, I am sorry for the delayed update. But I appreciate all of the instant messages about the story and the continued support for it. Things are turning the corner with the story, and the next installment will definitely put some things in perspective, we didn't consider, when they were happening.

Next we see what Kerry is willing to do, to protect her relationship with Tony, and if she's willing to go as far as he is or not. The idea behind them becoming public gets real, and how they handle it, sets the course for their future beyond Scandal. We also find out how they handle the rise of the Olitz phenomenon. All this and more in the next edition of Timing is Everything.
