As he leaves she says, "Colby, do me a favor and be careful okay? You know how Shonda can be." He nods as he says, "I will Kerry. I am going to do my best to fix this." She nods a she says, "Okay. Be safe."
He replies, "I will. Bye. See you tomorrow night." She smiles as she says, "Agreed." When he leaves, she's smiling at the thought of planning this party for her man. This is the first time she's done this for him, and somehow, she feels like it won't be the last.
Looking at the time, she realizes, Tony could be back any minute, and it's almost dinner time. She's unsure of how his day has gone, so she wants to be prepared for whatever mood he might be in. She decides to make one of his favorite dishes, she makes called, Chicken Lombardi, and for dessert she's making chocolate lava cake.
After putting Josie in her doggy bed, and turning on some old school music, she goes into the kitchen and gets started cooking. While she preps the chicken, and preheats the oven, her phone rings. She sees it's her agent, so she answers pleasantly.
"Hello Robin, what's up?" Robin replies, "Hello dear lady, are you busy?" She responds, "I'm cooking dinner, but other than that no. What's going on?" Robin says, "Are you holding anything hot or sharp?" Kerry laughs as she says, "I am holding a knife why?" Robin says, "Put it down. Because I don't want you to cut yourself when I tell you this."
Kerry smiles as she says, "You're so dramatic Robin. Just tell me." Robin smiles as she says, "Okay, guess who's the new Movado spokesperson?" Kerry screams, making Josie's head pop up, as she barks, looking at Kerry through the opening between the kitchen and the living room.
Robin laughs joyously at her response, as she says, "See, I told you it was exciting girl. Congratulations!" Kerry replies, "Thank you so much Robin. This is amazing! I love Movado!" Robin says, "I know, and apparently, now they love you too. So now you don't only wear their watches as Olivia Pope, but also as yourself."
Kerry responds, "Oh my God. I can't believe this. This is unreal! Thank you so much Robin." Robin smiles a she says, "You're welcome. I will contact you soon with the details of the photo shoot, and the launch of the summer campaign okay?"
She smiles as she says, "Yes mam. Hey, what about Neutrogena?" Robin says, "That is in the works my dear. I will have official word on that shoot in a few days. So it appears, you will be a busy little beaver over the next few weeks."
Kerry laughs as she says, "I can't thank you enough. Thanks for the good news phone call." Robin smiles as she says, "Again, you're welcome. I will talk to you later. Enjoy your weekend." She smiles as she replies, "I will. Bye." Their call ends, and Kerry has a renewed sense of excitement and motivation, to make this dinner special. Now she has something to celebrate.
But she doesn't want to be hyper excited, if Tony doesn't have good news to report. So she tries to get an angle on his mood, by calling him. The phone rings a few times, and she thinks it's about to go to voicemail. But then, she hears, "I was just about to call you." She smiles as she says, "Really? Why?" He smiles as he responds, "I missed you, and I wanted to hear your voice."
Her grin of excitement, changes to one of love and adoration, as she says, "Awe baby, you're so sweet. I've missed you too. Are you on your way home?" He replies, "Yes, actually I am walking to my car now." She responds, "Okay, well, you sound good. How are you feeling?"
He smiles as he gets in his car, and says, "You're trying to feel me out huh?" She smiles as she tries to play coy, and says, "No, I was genuinely asking how you're doing?" He laughs as he says, "Ker, don't take it personal, but you're a terrible liar. You must have good news."
She shakes her head as she asks, "How the hell do you do that?" He laughs as he says, "Do what? Read you?" She slides the chicken into the oven, and says, "Yes." He responds, "I don't know. It just happens. I know you too well. Is that a bad thing?" She sighs as she says, "No. Not really. But it frustrates the hell out of me."
He laughs as he says, "I know. But you should be used to it by now. Otherwise get used to it lady." She smiles as she says, "Yes sir, Mr. President." He grins as he says, "Oh, we're going for that role play huh? You know that's my favorite." In the sexiest voice, she says, "Yes, I know. It's mine too."
He responds, "Damn, you're lucky I'm stuck in traffic." She laughs as she says, "Lucky, or unlucky? Because I could sure use a good spanking for my naughty talk." He replies, "Ker, you are so going to get it when I get there." She laughs as she says, "MMMM, you promise." He smiles, as he says, "Absolutely, until I say stop. No mercy rule."
His response makes her moan; she's thinking about their last session, when they role played, the spanking scenario, and she gets lost in the moment. Until she snaps out of her haze, to him saying, "Hey, you still there baby?" She responds, "Uhm, yeah, I'm here."
He laughs as he says, "I thought I lost you. What happened?" She laughs as she says, "I had a little flashback." He grins as he says, "Good, because tonight will definitely be a repeat, sexy lady." She smiles as she says, "I can't wait for it either. How long before you get here?"
He replies, "With the traffic on the 405 I have at least an hour babe. Are you cooking or are we going out?" She replies, "I am cooking, chicken Lombardi, and I am making a dessert too." He smiles as he says, "Wow, you must have some really good news."
She laughs, as she says, "I really do babe. But I want to hear about yours first." He responds, "Okay, I will tell you about mine, when I get there. We can talk over dinner. I'm going to go. I don't want to get a ticket for driving and talking on my phone."
She responds, "Okay honey. I will see you soon." He replies, "Okay. Love you." She replies, "Love you too." She hangs up the phone smiling, and she hurries along, getting dinner prepared, as she says, "Daddy will be home soon Josie. Are you excited?" She wags her tail, and Kerry swears she's smiling at her. Sometimes, she thinks Josie loves him more than she does.
