Thor POV.

I saw Odin go into what Loki called Jotunheim. I had been told that it was a terrifying, horrible place. Why in the Nine Realms was Odin going there? Odin, apparently, saw me following him. "Ah, Thor, did you really think you could sneak in without me noticing?" I winced, knowing I had been caught, then dropped my shoulders in defeat.

"No, but why are you going to Jotunheim, Allfather?" I couldn't help asking. After all, didn't Father tell me it was off limits? He even told Loki, but who would believe he would listen to Odin of all people?

"Do you remember where Loki is from? Or have you forgotten your brother's true heritage?" Odin said, smiling.

"Of course, how could I forget?" I agreed. I was just a young child then, practically still a baby.

A fight rages around Jotunheim, both sides losing many people. But, as soon as The Allfather had killed the king, Laufey and the Frost Giants lost morale, and lost the battle. Odin, looking for spoils, came across a young Frost Giant baby. The Allfather then took the baby home, turned him human, named him Loki, and raised him as his own.

I then thought of the times Loki had been angry as a kid, like interfering with Mjolnir, causing the handle to be too short, or cutting off Sif's golden hair. But now I understand why Loki had acted this way. He was angry about all the attention I had gotten, while he had to stay in the shadows. I decided I would try to make up for all those hard times I made Loki feel lesser than me.

"Well, it turns out that one of the Jotuns have sired a half-breed child, one who is of the same royal family as Laufey. I am going to collect some information on the child, as the mother has recently died. Hopefully, we can bring the child to Loki, as a way to reform him, as well as benefit the child."

"Allfather, let me go. I want to make up for the way I've treated him. I've been a horrible brother. I will find the child and bring him or her to Loki. Let me do this important thing for him." I pleaded, hoping he would allow me to take leadership on the mission. This could be the first step to Loki's recovery from the evil infecting him.

"Very well, my son. We will gather the information together, then you will take that information and find the child. Bring them back immediately, and introduce them to Loki. Hopefully all will go well." Odin placed his hand on my shoulder.

"Father, what if the child is in another world, what if I can't bring her back here? What should I do then?"

"Then you are to bring Loki to the child. Both must be under constant surveillance, and Loki must not be made aware of the plan until the very last moment. Understood, my son?" Odin's last words, which normally placed a warm feeling in my soul now left a sense of unease. Hopefully the upcoming mission will quell that feeling.
