The shattered moon fell on a dark castle in a wasteland.

In the castle a woman stared out at the pools of Grimm tar and the Beautiful creatures that rose from them.

She walked to her bedchamber and looked at the orb. "Proceed with the next phase of our plans." She said before turning away. She trusted these agents to do her will without explanation.

She thought back to that fateful day all those years ago.

"We will throw an extravagant wedding for you."

She remembered that day well. She laid down and went to sleep.

Years ago.

Salem walked through her Grimm pools when she heard two voices screaming for relief.

She walked to the disturbance and saw a pair of nobles.

"What do we have here?" She asked rhetorically.

"Please. My lady." The young man begged. "We need help. Can you help us?"

"Why should I?" Salem asked.

"Please." The young lady begged. "We just want a chance to be together. We ran away from home so we could be."

Salem was interested. "Hmm. Go on." She said flicking her hands away.

The Grimm surrounding the young couple went away.

The couple looked shocked.

"Well." Salem said getting annoyed. "I'm waiting."

"We are so sorry." The young woman said. "Our Families have been feuding for generations. Bronze and I fell in love, and wanted to get married, but when our parents found out we were forbidden from seeing each other ever again."

"That's right ma'am" Bronze said. "Mocha and I ran away late at night and have been running so out families don't find us."

Something strange happened to Salem. A feeling that she hadn't felt in a very long time. She felt Joy. "I will give you sanctuary." She spoke.

"You will?" Mocha asked.

"Yes. I will also train you to defend yourselves."

"Thank you." Bronze said.

"In return I ask for your help."

"Of course." The couple said in unison. "Anything for our savior."

"Excellent." Salem said. "Come this way. We have much to plan."

"Ma'am?" Mocha said.

"For your wedding. We will throw and extravagant wedding for you."

"Thank you, ma'am."

The trio walked back to the castle. There were a million things to do.

Jason walked around the kitchen. "So. What do you guys want to drink?"

"I'll take a beer." Damian said.

"Do you have Champagne?" Ember asked.

"Yup." Jason said grabbing a six pack of beer from the fridge and a bottle of champagne. "What about you Auburn?"

"I don't mind a beer."

"Okay." Jason said grabbing a bottle opener, the corkscrew, and a bottle of Vodka.

"Don't forget the wine!" A voice called from the back room.

Jason tossed the beer to Damian, and the champagne to Ember. "I have to grab the wine and a couple of glasses."

Damian made the sound of a whip cracking with his mouth.

"Do you want to lose the ability to breed?" Jason asked from the kitchen.

"Hearings as sharp as ever." Ember laughed.

"You better believe it." Jason said walking out with a bottle of wine and two glasses.

"So?" Damian asked. "How's married life treating you?"

"Not too bad. Weiss and I go out on missions to keep ourselves sharp."

"Any thoughts about kids?" Auburn asked with a blush.

"We've thought about it, but not yet."

"Are you still afraid someone will take you away from them?" Ember asked.

"Yeah. I know that it's stupid, but..."

"It's not stupid." Weiss said coming from the bedroom.

"No way!" Auburn yelled when she saw a pregnant Weiss.

"Yeah." Jason said. "I wanted it to be a surprise."

"You totally got us." Ember said.

"To bad this is all just a dream." Damian said turning to dust.

"No." Jason said as he looked around the kitchen in horror.

He saw Ember burst into flame and fall to the floor turning to ash when she hit the floor. "No!" He said louder.

He looked around and saw a deep gash open in Auburns chest and she fell to the floor. "NO!" He yelled.

"Jason!" Weiss yelled reaching for him.

Jason reached for Weiss, but she disappeared as he grabbed her hand. "NOO!" He yelled.

Jason's eyes flew open as he was jolted out of sleep.

He looked down and saw that he was completely drenched in a cold sweat.

"DAMN IT!" He Roared as he unzipped his sleeping bag and crawled out.

He took his shirt off and wrung it out before looking at his scroll.

"10:30 PM." He tossed his scroll back onto his sleeping bag with a wet splat.

"What's wrong?" A girl's voice said from the other side of the campfire.

"Sorry Violet. Did I wake you up?"

"Yeah." The thirteen-year-old said. "I thought it was a dream, but I guess it wasn't."

"No. I'm sorry I woke you up. You can go back to sleep now."

"Not likely." Violet said. "What makes you think I can sleep after that?"

"It's late. You should sleep."

"Jason. We made camp two hours ago and went to sleep an hour and a half ago. You need sleep just as much as I do."

"I can survive on an hour of sleep though."

"So, can I, but you don't see me doing it."

Jason sighed a heavy sigh that sounded like it belonged to someone far older than Jason. "Fine. If I try..."

His sentence was cut off as a Beowulf jumped from the shadows.

Jason kicked it in the chest with his Prosthetic leg. Shattering its ribcage before punching it in the throat killing it.

"I guess we aren't sleeping here then." Violet said matter of factly.

"Nope. Let's break down camp and get moving."

The next day

Jason and Violet stopped the next night and made camp.

"I'm bushed." Violet said. "Who knew that killing Grimm could make you this tired."

"Try defending Beacon for a night." Jason said.

Violet grew quiet.

"Let's eat." Jason said pulling out two rabbits.

"Did you have to kill the rabbits?" Violet asked.

"Sorry for getting dinner." Jason said before he realized what he'd said. "Damn it. I'm sorry Vi. I didn't mean to say that."

"I know. I'm sorry for complaining."

Jason was about to say something when he heard something rustling from the bushes, and he threw a throwing knife at it.

There was a squeak from the bushes, and Jason pulled a squirrel from the bushes. "Looks like we have breakfast."

Violet hid her face, so Jason didn't see her cry.

Jason groaned internally. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry that I keep killing cute and cuddly creatures for food. I'm sorry that I dragged you out into this Dust forsaken forest. I'm sorry that I failed my Team, and I'm sorry Vale fell."

"Jason!" Shira yelled jumping from his Shadow. "Don't say things like that!"

"Because they're true?"

"You're being kind of a dick Jason." A shadow clone of Loki said.

"I'm sorry, but what do you want me to do? Because I'm not sure what you want me to do."

"Be the big brother she needs right now."

Jason looked at Violet and saw that she was trying to hide the fact that she was crying. He cursed himself as he walked over to her and sat down next to her. "I'm sorry. I-I'm just not sure what to do. Please, just tell me what I need to do."

Violet turned around and looked at him. "I just want you to be my brother."

Jason hugged Violet.

Violet returned the hug.

Violet's stomach grumbled.

"If you don't want to eat the rabbits or Squirrel, I can go find a deer or see if I can find a river or village or something."

"We can eat the rabbits, but can we not kill rabbits anymore?"

"If we can find something else to eat then we won't have to eat anymore rabbits."

"Thanks." Violet said.

Jason cleaned the rabbits and roasted them over the fire before handing one to Violet.

"Not bad." Jason said. "Definitely better than dumpster food."

"I guess so. I feel bad that we are eating rabbits though."

Jason rolled out his sleeping bag and laid down on it.

"Do you think you will be able to get more than an hour and a half of sleep?"

"I hope so. I can survive on an hour of sleep, but the more sleep I get the better."

"Do you want me to sing you a lullaby?"

"I suppose it's worth a shot."

Violet took out the 'Noisemaker' and started playing a song.

After playing through the song once she began singing.

Did you lose what won't return?
Did you love but never learn?

The fire's out but still it burns
And no one cares, there's no one there

Did you find it hard to breathe?
Did you cry so much that you could barely see?
You're in the darkness all alone
And no one cares, there's no one there

But did you see the flares in the sky?
Were you blinded by the light?
Did you feel the smoke in your eyes?
Did you, did you?
Did you see the sparks filled with hope?
You are not alone
'Cause someone's out there, sending out flares

Did you break but never mend?
Did it hurt so much you thought it was the end?
Lose your heart but don't know when
And no one cares, there's no one there

But did you see the flares in the sky?
Were you blinded by the light?
Did you feel the smoke in your eyes?
Did you, did you?
Did you see the sparks filled with hope?
You are not alone
'Cause someone's out there, sending out flares
Someone's out there, sending out flares

Did you lose what won't return?
Did you love but never learn?

But did you see the flares in the sky?
Were you blinded by the light?
Did you feel the smoke in your eyes?
Did you, did you?
Did you see the sparks filled with hope?
You are not alone
'Cause someone's out there, sending out flares

But did you see the flares in the sky?
Were you blinded by the light?
Did you feel the smoke in your eyes?
Did you, did you?
Did you see the sparks filled with hope?
You are not alone
'Cause someone's out there, sending out flares

Violet looked over at Jason. He was asleep and looked so peaceful.

That night Jason's sleep was dreamless.

The next day Jason woke up before Violet and walked through the forest looking for another animal.

While he was walking, he came across a village.

He created a Shadow Clone to go take down camp and get Violet.

It took about ten minutes for the Shadow Clone and Violet to get back to him.

"you found a village." Violet said.

"Yeah. It's the village we are looking for."

"How can you tell?"

"The scent on 'Divine Twilight' is similar to this village." Jason said taking the M16/Spear off his back.

The two walked into the village and found a villager.

"Excuse me." Jason asked. "Do you know where the Brown residence is?"

"Uh yeah." The villager said. "Can I ask why?"

"I am here to talk to Auburn Brown's parents."

"You know my daughter?" The villager asked.

Jason felt a lump rise in his throat. "I was her Team leader."

"Jason?" The villager asked.

"You know my name?"

"Yes, yes. My daughter wrote every week and told us what a great leader you are. I just want to say thank you."

"Please don't sir."

"Nonsense. Do you have word of my daughter? Where is she, how is she doing?"

Jason felt the lump in his throat rise. It was painful. Tears began to sting the corners of his eyes. "I don't suppose that you heard about the Fall of Beacon?"

Auburn's Father's face fell. "No. I did not know that Beacon fell. Was Auburn hurt?"

"I'm afraid that she was killed."

Auburn's father became quiet before he said. "This is a discussion best had with the rest of my family."

Jason and Violet walked with Auburn's father to two other houses where he knocked and talked to two families.

"These are my daughters and their spouses." Auburn's father said. "My eldest daughter Umber and her wife Marble, and my middle daughter Siena and her husband Gold."

Jason nodded at them.

"What's wrong dad?" Sienna asked.

"We will talk about it when we get back to the house."

The group walked to a house in the center of the village.

When they walked inside a woman came out of the kitchen. "Russ? Is everything okay? What's going on?"

"I think you need to sit down Sepia."

The woman sat down.

"Please." Russ said to Jason. "Tell my family what you told me."

"I regret to inform you that Auburn died during the Fall of Beacon."

Sepia gasped, held her hands to her mouth, and started crying.

"What?" Umber asked. "Did you day that Auburn is dead?"

"Yes." Jason said as a lump formed in his throat making it hard to breathe. "She was killed by a Death Stalker."

Sienna began crying.

Gold stepped up to Jason and glared up at him. "Why didn't you help her?"

"Please believe me that I tried to. My Team told me that they wanted to split up and help more people. If I had pushed to get us to stay together then my Team wouldn't be dead."

Marble walked over to Jason. "Are you saying that you are the only surviving member of your Team?"

"Yes." Jason said as his already aching heart broke even more. "I'm the only survivor from Team JADE."

Sepia got up and walked over to Jason.

Jason mentally prepared himself to be struck. He wasn't expecting the hug that she gave him.

"My semblance is very unique." She spoke. "My Semblance lets me feel the emotions of people around me. I can feel the turmoil that you are in."

"I was their leader. I was supposed to protect them. I wasn't there when they needed me."

Umber and Sienna Walked over and looked up at Jason.

"Can you tell us what our sister was like as a Huntress."

Jason looked at them and Smiled. "Your sister was an amazing Huntress. She got over her fear of Death Stalkers."

"What?" Umber asked.

"Yeah. Beacon was doing the Halloween Hunt, and my older sister took Auburn's place because she was still afraid of Death Stalkers. We killed our Death Stalker and were headed back when we got knocked out. Your sister overcame her fear and came out to save us even though she was terrified. Your sister is... was the strongest Huntress I've ever met."

Umber, Sienna, and Sepia started crying.

"Why aren't you crying Russ?" Violet asked.

"Please don't mistake my silence for Apathy. I am devastated, and I will mourn..."

A villager came running into the house. "Grimm!" He yelled.

Jason slammed his emotions behind a wall and looked at Violet. "Let's go."

"Right." Violet said following Jason out of the house.

When they got outside, they saw a Boarbatusk, a pack of Beowulf, and three Ursai.

Jason put his helmet and gloves on before launching himself at the Boarbatusk.

Violet aimed the noisemaker at the Beowulf pack and pressed down on the bridge causing a sonic blast to shoot out at the Beowulf causing them to fall. She changed the 'Noisemaker' to the battle axe melee mode and went through the Beowulf pack and decapitated them. 'Beowulf aren't that hard to kill. I want a challenge.'

An Ursa smacked Violet into a tree. Luckily, her Aura protected her, but she definitely felt it.

The Ursa ran at her. She tried getting up, but she was too slow.

The Ursa jumped at her, only to be caught by Jason.

"Leave her alone!" Jason said, his eyes were glowing golden red through the eye slots, and he threw the Ursa away from Violet before stalking towards it. "Tell me. Do you feel fear?"

The Ursa roared at Jason.

Jason slashed its face with his claws. "I'll make you fear me before you can die."

The Ursa smacked Jason away only for Jason to fade away like smoke.

Violet jumped at the Ursa and cut its faceplate with her axe.

Jason was thrown away by the Boarbatusk. He got back up and glared at the Grimm. He pushed off the ground leaving a crater, and he kicked the Boarbatusk into a tree with a crack, and the Boarbatusk began fading away.

"Behind you!" Violet yelled.

Jason turned in time to see and Ursa charging him. He disappeared into his shadow and reappeared beside Violet. "Thanks' for the heads up."

"You're welcome. Now go."

Jason walked up to the Ursa, and kicked its leg, breaking it. He punched it in the face dislocating its Jaw and finished it off by kicking it in the head crushing it.

"Whoa." A villager said.

"Let's hear it for the Hunters!" Another villager said.

The village burst into applause and shouts of approval.

Jason walked back to Auburns family. "I forgot." He said reaching behind him and handing Russ 'Divine Twilight' and the 'Thumpers'". "I think that these belong to you."

Russ took 'Divine Twilight'. "Thank you. Please. Take this." Russ said handing him a large box.

Jason opened the box and saw two pistols. "Thank you, but I can't."

"Please. I insist. The 'Dominators' are powerful dust magnums."

"I really..."

"Thank you." Violet said. "My brother has a hard time accepting things."

"Please be safe. If there is anything, we can do for you before you leave?" Sepia asked.

"We could offer you a meal and beds for the night." Marble suggested.

"Thank you." Violet said. "We've been travelling on foot and camping out for the last week."

"Oh. You poor kids." Sienna said.

"It's decided." Umber said. "You two are staying the night and can leave tomorrow after breakfast."

"That's not necess..." Jason began.

"No arguing." Sepia said.

Later that night at Umber and Marble's house.

Jason was sitting at the desk that was in the guest room Violet and he were sharing.

"Whatcha doin' Jason?" Violet asked walking in.

"I'm just making sure that the 'Dominators' are in working order."

"Are they?"

Jason pulled the trigger, and the barrel folded out. "It's definitely interesting, and it uses dust."

"So, they can replace your Vulcan's that you gave Jaune?"

"Yup, and thanks to Viridian's modifications..." Jason pulled his pant leg up and opened one of his prosthetics to show a gun holster. He put the 'Dominator' in the holster and closed the prosthetic.

"Wow. That has a lot of space."

"Yeah."

There was a gasp from the doorway.

Jason tried putting his pant leg down.

"I'm so sorry." Umber said.

"It's fine." Jason said.

"Do you mind me asking how that happened?"

Jason sighed a sigh that shouldn't have come from someone as young as him. "My legs were blown off at the beginning of my second semester."

Umber couldn't help but cry. "Why would anyone do that to you?"

"I don't know." Violet said. "But when I find out. I will take great pleasure in ending them."

Umber looked at the two kids who had obviously been through a lot. What could she say to give them some comfort?

"You don't have to say anything." Jason said. "No. I'm not psychic, but I know how to read people."

Umber walked out of the room a few minutes later and went to her and Marble's room.

"How are they doing?" Marble asked.

Umber started crying.

"Whoa. What's wrong?"

"I don't know what he's gone through, but He has had his legs blown off."

"What?"

"He has a pair of Prosthetic legs, and he admitted that they were blown off."

"Poor kid. What about his sister?"

"I'm not sure, but I'm not sure I want to know."

"Do you want to make them some travel bags that they can use?"

"What would we put in them?"

"Water bottles, snacks, food, fire starters, stuff like that."

"It would be nice to know that they aren't leaving unprepared."

"Let's do it."

The couple left their room and made their way to the kitchen.

When they passed the guest bedroom, they heard Violet say. "Jason."

"Yeah?" Jason replied.

"I'm hungry. do you have anything to snack on?"

They heard Jason searching through his bag. "No. Sorry."

Marble opened the door. "Do you guys need anything?"

"I'm hungry." Violet said.

"Would you like me to fix you something?"

"I don't want to impose."

"No. Not at all. I was just about to make a snack myself. Do you want something Jason?"

Jason looked at her.

"Yes." Violet said. "If I don't make him eat then he won't."

Jason could feel his face heat.

"Come on then." Marble said opening the door.

Jason and Violet walked with them to the kitchen.

"What kind of thing's do you guys like to eat?" Umber asked.

"So long as it's not out of a trash can." Jason said. "I won't complain... Not that I would complain if the only food were from the trash... I've had to do that before, and I'm going to stop talking now."

Umber and Marble looked horrified.

"You had to eat out of the trash?" Marble asked.

"We both have." Violet said.

Umber put a hand to her mouth. "You poor kids."

"Jason got the short end of the stick though. He was thrown out on the street when he was six..."

"VIOLET!" Jason yelled before he could have stopped himself.

Violet stopped talking.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to yell at you."

Violet looked at Jason before running out into the darkness.

Jason took off after her. "Violet!" He called out into the darkness. He sniffed the air and caught her scent before running after her.

Violet was running. She knew that she had messed up, but why did Jason have to yell at her?

She didn't hear the Grimm following her.

When she finally stopped, she fell to her knees and started to cry. The emotions of the last few weeks finally catching up with her.

"Why?" She asked out loud. "Why is he so different? Where is the brother that I used to know?"

There was a chitter, and she looked up to see ten glowing eyes looking at her.

She reached for the 'Noisemaker', but it wasn't on her back. "Damn it." She swore.

She saw the golden barb come flying at her, but it never hit.

There was a slice through the air, and a blur before the Death Stalker was writhing in pain.

"Get the Hell away from her!" Jason yelled. "Get behind me."

Violet hid behind Jason. She heard a click, and a 'Dominator' flew from Jason's leg into his hand. There was the glow of a fire Dust crystal, and the whir of the 'Dominator' unfolding. Jason pulled the trigger, and the 'Dominator' began glowing fire red.

When the blast left the barrel, it was a beam of pure fire. When the haze cleared, they saw the pincers, and two of the legs were lying on the ground. The rest of the Death Stalker had fallen to the ground and started to turn into dust.

"What were you thinking?" Jason asked. "Why would you run into the dark like that? You had me worried sick. I thought that I'd lost you just like everyone else."

"WHY DO YOU EVEN CARE!" Violet yelled. "DO YOU EVEN CARE ABOUT ME?"

"Of course, I do. What made you think that I didn't?"

"You aren't the brother I remember." Violet said through tears.

Jason was taken aback. Here was this girl, his sister, and she didn't really know why he was different. She knew about his Team, but that wasn't as important to her. She was still alive and had needs. Needs that he, as the older sibling, needed to meet, and he was doing a piss poor job at it.

"I'm sorry." He spoke. "I'm sorry that I haven't been the big brother that you needed. I've been going through some stuff, and I don't know how to handle it. I don't know how to be the big brother that you need and handle the last few weeks. I don't know how to handle my Team's death. I don't know how to process the Fall of Beacon or Vale. I just don't know what to do."

"I just want you to be my brother." Violet said before crying.

Jason put the 'Dominator' in his leg, picked Violet up, and carried her back to the house. When they had gotten back Violet was asleep.

"Oh good." Umber said. "You found her."

Jason put Violet in her bed and went to talk to Umber and Marble.

"I need some help." He spoke.

"What is it?" Umber asked.

"I... with everything that has happened... Violet says that she wants me to be her big brother again, but with everything that's happened..."

"You want to know how to handle your baggage, and be her brother?"

"Yes. How do I do that?"

"You need to focus on her. Whenever you are with her make sure that she knows you are focused on her. Nothing creepy but let her know that you are there for her." Marble added. "Then when you're alone take the time to take care of your issues. I think that you have a lot on your plate. Want to talk about it?"

"Not really, but maybe it will help." Jason said. He started talking about the Vytal Festival, and the Fall, and how he couldn't help his friends, and how he was too late to save his Team.

When he was done the two looked sympathetic.

"I'm going to tell you something, but you probably won't like it." Marble said.

"What is it?"

"You had nothing to do with your friends' deaths. No matter how much you pushed yourself you wouldn't have been able to save them, and you would probably be dead too."

"What Marble is trying to say is that you need to let go, don't forget what happened, but just forgive yourself, and mourn."

"Yes. You need to mourn. Otherwise, you will destroy yourself with 'could haves' and 'what ifs."

Jason looked at them.

"You don't have to do it right now, but the sooner you do, the better off you'll be."

Jason thought about that for a while before he got up and went to the guest room. He rubbed Violet's head before laying down on his own bed.

He looked up at the ceiling and blinked. When he opened his eyes again, it was morning.

"Good morning." Violet said.

"Hey." Jason said getting out of bed. "Look. I'm sorry about last night."

"I'm sorry too." Violet said.

The two pseudo sibling's hugged before walking to the kitchen.

"Sleep well?" Marble asked when they walked in.

"Yeah." Violet said. "Better than on the ground."

"Good. Sit down for breakfast."

They sat down and Marble put two plates with eggs, bacon, sausage, and toast. "Here you go."

Jason ate slowly to savor the taste while Violet ate quickly as if it was the first meal she had, had in a month.

"Are you still hungry?" Marble asked.

"Do you have more?" Violet asked.

"Yeah. Of course."

"Then yes please." Violet said handing Marble her plate.

"How about you Jason?" She asked.

"I'm still..."

"Give him more." Violet said. "Otherwise, he won't eat enough."

Marble put more sausage, bacon, eggs, and toast on Jason's plate, and gave Violet seconds.

"Thank you." Violet said digging in.

"You're welcome." Marble said.

Umber came in with two bags. "Hey guys." She said putting a bag in front of Jason and Violet. "Happy Birthday."

"What?" Violet asked.

"Happy Birthday." Umber said. "Have you never had a Birthday?"

"No." Violet said confused. "I was only with my family for a year, and we were still trying to get to know each other."

"What about..."

"Don't." Jason said. "Just... don't. We don't talk about her first family."

"Oh. Okay." Umber said. "Well. A birthday is a day we celebrate when you turn one year older. So, you are twelve, thirteen?"

"Twelve." Violet said.

"Well, a birthday is when you go from twelve to thirteen."

"So that means that I'm thirteen and Jason is nineteen?"

"No." Jason said. "I'm still eighteen. I turned eighteen during first semester."

"Oh. So, does that make me still twelve?"

"No. I'm not sure when your birthday is, but I'd say that you can be thirteen if you want."

"Then I'm thirteen."

"Happy Birthday." Umber and Maple said pushing the bags in front of them.

Jason opened his bag and saw snacks, a water bottle, water purifying tablets, glowsticks, matches, a sheath knife, rope, a hammock, a flashlight, and a compass.

"I don't know what to say. How did you guys do this in such a short amount of time?"

"We live in the middle of nowhere." Marble said. "We kind of have to have this stuff."

"Thank you."

"You're most welcome." Umber said before turning to Violet. "Go on. Open yours."

Violet opened her bag. He bag was the same as Jason's. "Thank you. I love it."

"We just wanted to help in whatever way we could."

"Thank you." Jason said. "For everything."

Umber and Marble waved to Jason and Violet as they walked.

"I want one." Marble said.

"So do I." Umber responded before the two went inside their house.

Jason and Violet left the village with their supplies and headed off to find Ember's family.

"So." Violet said. "about last night."

"I'm sorry Vi." Jason said. "I wasn't putting you first when I should have, but that's going to change. From here out I will be the best big brother that I can be."

"I know, but I also know that you need time for yourself. So, if you need time, just let me know, and I will try and give you the time that you need."

"Thanks."

"You're welcome."

The two kept walking in a companionable silence towards their next task ahead.

AN: Welcome to Volume four. It opens with Salem and two new OC's and goes to Jason and Violet who are traveling to Tell Team JADE's Families what happened during the Fall of Beacon.
