Shonda can't believe his reply; she narrows her eyes at him, as she responds, "Oh really!" Judy quickly replies, Yes. Really Shonda." Shonda looks at Judy and says, "Excuse me?" Judy leans forward as she says, "I'm saying he's right. It appears that you are unsure of what's going on here. So let me help you. We are only here to let you know about the current issue as a courtesy, and out of respect. Since you are their boss, it will be helpful if you are aware of the particulars of this plan, when different aspects of it come to fruition. So as Tony advised; we aren't asking your permission. We are notifying you of the situation, and the course of action taking place to handle it."

Shonda is frustrated, and annoyed as she replies, "So, I'm supposed to just take this, and I have no say so?" Judy says, "Shonda there's nothing to be said or done on your part. This plan benefits all parties involved, and if you do as I say it will be fine. Nobody will know anything, accept those who should know which is us and Bellamy. The others will think they are just signing paperwork to ensure privacy of all personal information. The only way they know anything more, is if somebody tells them, which would violate the non-disclosure agreement anyway."

Shonda wants to rant and rave, but she has to admit the plan appears flawless. She's not pissed at how well the plan has been conceived. She's more upset that she feels she's been ambushed and bullied. Knowing there's nothing she can say to refute it's legitimacy. She says, "Fine. I don't want to deal with this anymore. What happens now?"

Judy responds, "You sign this agreement, and just before shooting begins we will have all of the cast come in one by one and brief them on signing the agreements too. I will have a personal meeting with Bellamy, so you won't have to worry about her briefing. The rest of the crew members will be covered by the time shooting resumes." Despite her disdain for the situation; Shonda likes the format of the plan, and says, "Okay. I'll have my attorney look this over, and I will get back to you."

Judy responds, "Fair enough. But it would be in your best interest, and in the best interest of the show if you if you get that signed as soon as possible." Shonda asks, "Is that some type of threat Judy?" Judy replies, "It's not a threat Shonda, it's a valid observation. Obviously the sooner we get this done, the sooner we can move forward. Because as you just said, you don't want to deal with this anymore."

Throwing her words back in her face, to end the conversation resulted in a priceless look on Shonda's face. Both Tony and Kerry have to look away not to bust out into laughter. Clearly Shonda wasn't ready for that response. Shonda is fed up, and ready to end this meeting so she says, "You know what. Here's your agreement." She signs it and slides it over to Judy angrily. Judy gives her a copy of it, and says, "Thank you. Nice doing business with you. We will get out of your way now."

Both Kerry and Tony can't get up fast enough, to get out of there and Judy follows them out. By the sound of the slamming door, they all knew Shonda wanted them gone as badly as they wanted to be gone. When they reach the driveway, Judy says, "Okay. That's done." Kerry says, "I can't believe what I just witnessed." Tony chimes in, "Me either. Judy you were terrific." Judy replies, "That was nothing; she's a teddy bear compared to others I've dealt with. Nonetheless, this is just the first hurdle. Clearly she's not happy, so I advise you both to watch your backs on that set. This doesn't cover any administrative changes she's well within her right to make."

Tony says, "We understand that Judy. Regardless of what she wants to do in that instance. We just want this part handled, and let the chips fall where they may." Kerry nods as she says, "Agreed. We can make it tough for her to make that call. Without both of us on the show, the whole show suffers." Judy says, "Okay. I'm glad you both are aware of the possibilities of potential drama. Knowing is half the battle." Tony replies, "For sure." Judy says, "Well, I have to run. If you two have any other concerns, let me know." They both say good bye, as they climb in their cars and head home.

Shonda watches them from her window, as they all leave and in her mind she knows this isn't over by a long shot. As they drive along, both Kerry and Tony are unsure of what awaits them. They know they've won the battle. But will they win the war? That's the question of the day.

Thank you for reading my fan fiction tale. In the next installment we find out what Shonda has in store for Kerry and Tony. Will they regret standing up to her? They only have so much control over this situation. What will happen when Bellamy has her meeting with Judy? That should be a hoot. Also we find out how Tony hanging up on Jane may come back to haunt him. All this and more in the next installment of Timing is Everything. Please feel free to leave your comments and critiques. I love reading them.
