Randy and I pull up outside of Saint Louis International Airport.

"Text Colby what parking lot we're in." I tell Randy.

"On it." Randy replies. "Parking lot C."

"So what's the plan for the rest of the day?"

"Well I guess I can tell you now since neither of you can get out of it now."

"Get out of what?"

"I'm taking you and young child Colby out for lunch."

"You're bringing Colby along for a date?"

"That's not what this is."

"That's what it sounds like to me."

"This is me being the amazing person I am and taking my wife and one of my three brothers-in-law to a nice family lunch."

"The amazing person you are? That's news."

Randy fakes gasps. "I'm a little offended."

I laugh as I jokingly punch his arm. "I kid. I kid. Are you paying?"

"Yeah. But I'm totally using money from our joint account."

"You're using the joint account without me now?"

Randy laughs. "No actually. I got money out of my personal account last night for this."

I smile and put my hand on his shoulder. "Always thinking ahead. But you totally could've used our joint account."

"Noted. When is Colby going to get his ass out here?"

"I don't know. We both know he's a bit slow when getting somewhere."

"A bit?"

"Okay. Very slow. Did he reply to your text?"

"Yeah. He only said okay."

"Well he better get here soon. I'm trying to enjoy the rest of this week. I want to be home before my birthday."

Randy laughs. "Me too. I actually think that's him walking out here right now."

"Finally."

Randy pops the trunk of our car, so Colby can open it and put his luggage in. Colby then gets in the back seat behind me.

"Thanks for the ride." Colby says as he shuts the car door. "You didn't have to do this for me. I'm already staying at your house. Especially you, Randy, I honestly didn't expect you to be coming to pick me up with Rissa, let alone be driving."

"No problem." I say. "You're family. And you're visiting for my birthday. There's nothing wrong with us picking you up and you staying at our home."

"Not like we don't already have a bunch of people staying with us." Randy comments. "What's one more? Anyway, Colby, since you're surprised that I'm a nice person apparently, I'm also taking you and Rissa out for lunch."

"Okay." Colby says. "Thanks, Randy. Also, I just am surprised that you came because you never have before. And I think you didn't like me at first when we met each other."

Randy sighs. "I don't know what I gave you that impression. The only thing I didn't like was how you snuck around at a WWE show to find Rissa in the parking lot and then proceeded to overwhelm her with all of this information about a mother she hadn't even seen or heard from since she was three years old. Which stressed her out horribly and then also stressed Tyler out when she told him. But that's not necessarily your fault. And that was over five years ago. But I never disliked you personally."

"Oh. Okay. Speaking of Tyler, will he be joining us for lunch?"

"No." I answer quickly. "He's working."

"Okay…"

"Anyway," Randy says to Colby. "What do you want to eat? You're the guest, so you're picking."

"I'm picking when Rissa's birthday is in three days?"

"Yeah. I'll let her pick when I take her out for her birthday. Pick a place, Lopez."

"Okay…Applebee's sound good to you?"

"Perfect." Randy pulls out of the parking lot and starts driving to Applebee's.

Randy pulls up to Applebee's and stops by the entrance. "Colby, go on in and get us a table or booth. Rissa and I will be in after I park."

"You sure?" Colby asks.

"Yes, Colby, get us a table or booth."

"Okay. Any preferences?"

"No. Just get what you want."

"Okay." Colby opens the car door and starts to get out. "See you in a few."

Colby shuts the car door and walks inside.

Randy pulls around to find a parking space. "You need to tell him."

"Tell him what?" I ask.

"That you and Tyler are having problems. Colby's already starting to figure out that something's going on. You jumped to answer about Tyler way too quickly. Colby obviously sensed that something was up when you said Tyler wasn't coming."

"And? What's your point here, Randal?"

Randy parks the car but keeps the car locked. "My point is that there is already enough shit going on this week with work and stress. Tell Colby what's going on. Explain it. Maybe they can go do something together while we go to the gender reveal party. But if Colby finds out from Tyler and not you that he wasn't even informed that Colby was coming until yesterday when we got home, then Colby might get mad at you. You already are fighting with one brother. Don't let it turn into fighting with another."

I sigh. "Okay. You're right. I'll tell Colby."

"Okay." Randy unlocks the car doors. "Let's go in now."

"Right behind you."

"There you are." Colby says. "I was starting to get worried."

"It's all good." I reply as Randy and I sit down across from Colby. "Someone's picky about where he parks so it took us a few to find a spot."

Randy rolls his eyes at me. "Whatever, Rissa. Sorry I don't want any of our vehicles being parked next to bad parkers. Bad parkers could be bad drivers that end up hitting our vehicles. I am not dealing with that. We already had to deal with a hit and run. I don't want to go to court again."

"I'm just gonna be grateful we weren't in the Hummer today."

A waitress stops by our table and we order our drinks and food. Colby, Randy, and I sit in silence until our food and drinks arrive.

"Anyway," Colby says as the three of us start to eat our food. "I'm actually happy we are doing this because there's something I'd like to talk to you about, and I think it'll be easier to talk to you about this than Tyler. Plus, no offense, it's easier to talk about here when there's not a bunch of other people around."

I take in a deep breath. "Okay…what's going on?"

"Um…well…my dad found some things that Mom had kept away a couple weeks ago."

I nod, having a bad feeling about where this is going. "Okay."

Randy, sensing my tense feeling, quietly puts his hand on mine. "Colby, what did your dad find?"

Colby sighs. "He found these wooden boxes. Tyler, you, and me each have our names on one, actually you have two for some reason. They're not big boxes. But they're for the three of us."

"What's in them?" I ask.

"Well I didn't open yours or Tyler's, but mine has a bunch of letters. I've only read a couple, but they got really personal."

"How personal are we talking about here?"

"She talks about a lot of the things that we never got answers for."

"Oh. That personal."

"Yeah…anyway, I just figured I'd talk to you first because you actually attempted to give her a chance before she passed, and I figured you'd take it okay. Tyler's a whole different story. Honestly, since you grew up with him, maybe you should tell him."

I sigh. "Actually, that brings us to what I wanted to talk to you about. Tyler and I are fighting right now."

"But he's staying at your house."

"Yeah. But that's because I'm trying to be nice. I figured I'd tolerate him at least until you leave."

"Then what?"

"I'm probably going to kick him out. He's been nothing but rude lately. I should've never had him stay with us honestly. And to be honest, he didn't even know you were coming until yesterday because I didn't take the time to make sure I told him."

"Oh. I guess I'll talk to him. Is this over Cami?"

"Yeah. How'd you know?"

"She gave me a bit of a bad vibe when I met her at your wedding."

"So I'm not crazy. I had one too."

"Always trust your gut. Anyway, Randal, why are you being so quiet? You seem moody. Are you not getting some at home?"

I roll my eyes. "This is normal Randy. He's just listening to us."

Randy gives Colby a dirty look. "I'm fine. But just so you know, you don't get to call me Randal. Only Rissa is allowed to do that. And secondly, I get laid all the time, so I'm fine. Your sister is very generous in that department."

Colby gives us a disgusted look. "Too much information, Randy."

"You walked right into that, Colby. Don't bring up my sex life, and you won't hear about it."

Colby laughs. "Fair enough. No sex life talk, and I'm talking to Tyler about the boxes."
