Weiss was walking through Schnee Manor when she saw someone from the shadows.
She backed away at first, but he stepped out to show her his face.
It was Jason.
She ran and hugged him. "I've missed you." She spoke.
Jason looked her in the eyes and smiled. "So did I."
The two kissed for what seemed like hours.
"Weiss Schnee!" Jacques yelled. "What do you think you are doing? Running around with my business rival."
"Stand down Jacques." Jason said. "I love your daughter, and I am taking her away from your hate filled house."
"Excuse me?" Jacques asked incredulously. "Weiss has food, shelter, clothes, and a bed to sleep in."
"But where's the love?" Jason asked.
Jacques pulled a gun out of his coat and shot Jason in the stomach before he grabbed Weiss and began hitting her.
"Stop!" Jason yelled. "You can beat me, break me, or kill me, but for the love of the Gods don't... hurt... her." Jason died from blood loss, and Jacques was so mad that he beat Weiss into unconsciousness.
Weiss jumped out of bed in a cold sweat and started hyperventilating.
After a while she calmed down and caught her breath. 'It's that same nightmare only different.' She said to herself.
Weiss got up, showered, put her hair in a ponytail, got dressed and went to breakfast.
"Hello sister." Whitley said from behind her.
"Whitley." Weiss answered curtly.
"How did you sleep?"
"Well enough."
"Can I ask you who Jason is?"
Weiss blinked and froze for a second. "Who?"
"Jason. You were saying his name quite a bit last night."
"He's a friend from school."
"I'd say he's more than a friend."
Weiss was drinking coffee when Whitley said that, and spit. "What do you mean?"
"I mean the way you were saying his name seemed to mean that you were more than friends."
"And if we were?"
"I think that Father would like to meet him."
Weiss remembered her nightmares but realized that the real Jason would kill her father. "If that is what you wish then you may."
That seemed to derail Whitley. Turns out he wanted to see her squirm. She was glad that Jason had taught her to read people.
Whitley got up and left Weiss to enjoy her breakfast in peace.
"Is it true?" A kindly, aged man asked walking into the kitchen. "Have you met someone who has met your sister's expectations?"
"Yes Cline." Weiss said happily.
"What's he or she like?"
"He's strong, and caring, and would do anything for anyone he cared about."
"I hope you don't use that against him."
"Of course not. At first, I didn't think I could love him because we were so different, but as time went on, we got to know each other better, and we started to see more and more of each other."
"I do hope he hasn't taken advantage of you."
"No. No. Of course not. Winter and his sister would kill him if he tried to."
"Is that the only reason?"
"No. He truly cares about me. He passed Winter's test."
"That's good. Will he be here for the Gala?"
"I should probably write him a note, shouldn't I?"
"It might be a good idea if you want him to come."
Weiss took out an invitation to the Gala and put it in an envelope before writing Jason Todd on it. "Cline, what would be the best way to get this to Jason?"
"I suppose the best way to get it to him would be to send it via carrier since the CCT is down."
"Can you Make sure this gets sent?"
"Of course." Cline said leaving the Manor.
While Cline was gone Weiss sat in silence thinking about Jason.
It wasn't until an hour later that Ironwood came in to talk to her.
"Miss Schnee."
"Yes General?"
"I was wondering if you would help me?"
"Of course." She said a little too quickly. 'Anything to get out of this house.'
The two walked to a car and drove to Atlas Academy.
"Allow me Miss Schnee." Ironwood said trying to get the door for her.
"No thank you General. If there was one thing, I learned from Jason it was to not be afraid to do things for yourself." Weiss said opening the door.
The two walked into the Academy and down to the infirmary.
When they got there Ironwood took her to the back where the special cases were taken care of.
He opened the first door to show Weiss Geoff.
"Oh Gods." Weiss gasped when she saw him. "What happened to him?"
"His spine shattered, and his Ribs were crushed. We had to preform emergency surgery on him if we wanted him to survive."
Weiss walked over to Geoff and wiped some sweat from his forehead.
Geoff opened his eyes.
"Hey." Weiss said. "How are you doing?"
"I've had better days lass." Geoff wheezed.
"What do you need?"
"The Cybernetics hurt. I can't sleep, I don't eat very well, and I miss Velvet."
Weiss looked at one of her friends that she couldn't do anything for. 'No. I refuse to believe that I can't do anything to help him. I will help him.' "Tell me what I can do to help." She said kindly.
"I want to look at the plans for my cybernetics. I need to know what they did to me."
"I'll do what I can."
"Thanks lass." Geoff said before he closed his eyes.
"Where are the plans for Geoff's Cybernetics?"
"There were no plans." Ironwood said. "Like I said. We had to preform emergency surgery if he wanted to survive."
"Then take some X-Rays or something and show him what was done to him. Geoff is one of the smartest people I know, and if he says that something is wrong, then something is wrong."
"Very well." Ironwood sighed. He left to find the doctor and told him to show Mr. Patrick what was done to him before taking Weiss to the next room.
When Weiss opened the door, she saw a red head sitting in the chair next to the window. "Pyrrha!" She yelled startling the girl before running to her and hugging her. "I'm so glad that you're all right."
"Do I know you?" Pyrrha asked looking at Weiss cautiously.
"Yes. Pyrrha, it's me Weiss."
"I'm sorry, but I don't remember you." Pyrrha said trying to pull away.
"What happened to her?" Weiss asked Ironwood.
"She has amnesia. Our best guess is that she got it because of something that happened during the Fall of Beacon."
"That's terrible."
"Yes. We hope that her memory will come back soon."
"Is there anything I can do to help her?"
"Maybe talking to her, tell her stories about Beacon, about her team, maybe even watch some of her old tournament matches with her."
"I can do that."
"Thank you, Miss Schnee."
"Weiss. Please call me Weiss."
"Very well... Weiss."
"Thank you. I'll take it from here."
With that General Ironwood left.
Weiss sat down in one of the chairs.
Pyrrha looked at Weiss hesitantly.
"I'm not going to hurt you. You and I were friends the last time we saw each other." Weiss took out her scroll and scrolled through the pictures until she found picture of their friends and Pyrrha. "See." She said handing Pyrrha the scroll.
Pyrrha looked through the scroll before sitting down.
The two began talking and talked late into the night.
Over the next several days Weiss would wake up, usually after a nightmare, get ready for the day and go visit Pyrrha and Geoff.
As the days went by, she saw Geoff recover. He went from not being able to walk to being able to walk a few feet from his bed, to being able to walk to the door, and eventually he was strong enough to walk around the Academy.
"Hey Weiss?" He asked one day. "Do you think that I would get permission to walk around Mantle?"
"I don't see why not." She replied.
"Thanks."
Weiss got everything taken care of and got Geoff to a Shuttle down to Mantle.
When they got to Mantle, they started walking the streets.
"Hey look!" One guy yelled. "It's Weiss Schnee!"
A crowd gathered.
"Get her!" One guy yelled.
"Back off lads." Geoff said grabbing the 'Junkers Toolkit' from his back. "Yer not getting her."
"Stand down citizens." A perky voice said from the sky.
Geoff and Weiss looked up to see an orange haired girl land in front of them.
"Are you okay Miss Schnee?" The girl asked.
"Penny!" Geoff and Weiss shouted in unison before glomping her.
"Do I know you?" Penny asked.
"You don't remember Beacon?"
"No. I do not have any memory of going to Beacon Academy or the kingdom of Vale for that matter."
Geoff and Weiss looked put out. "I know." Penny said. "Let's go to my father. I am sure that he will know something."
The two followed Penny to a Clinic.
"Father I'm home."
"Penny." A man in a mechanical walker said energetically walking into the room. "How are you?"
"I am doing well father. I brought friends."
"Well let's see... Oh. Miss Schnee. How are you doing?"
"Very well thank you. You're Penny's father?"
"Yes. Yes, I am. I hope that Penny didn't cause you any trouble."
"No trouble at all sir. In fact, she saved me and my friend here from a crowd."
"Thank you and thank you too Penny."
"You're welcome father."
"We didn't catch your name sir." Geoff said.
"Me. My name is Pietro. I'm a mechanic of sorts. I'm also a doctor. I specialize in helping people who have lost limbs or eye's due to Grimm attacks.
"What about ribs and Spines sir?"
Pietro thought about that for a second. "I have done some surgeries like that. Why do you ask?"
"Could you please take a look at my cybernetics?" Geoff practically begged.
"I can take a look, but I don't know if I'll be able to help."
"Please. I just want the pain to stop."
"Come on back." Pietro said.
Geoff went back while Weiss sat in the waiting room.
Weiss found herself drifting off.
She was walking through Schnee Manor when she saw someone from the shadows.
Jacques pulled a gun out of his coat, but Jason grabbed the gun, pulled, and punched Jacques in the face before kicking him into a pillar.
Weiss looked at Jason before jumping into his arms...
"Miss Schnee?" A voice broke through her dream.
Weiss woke up. "What happened?" She asked.
"You fell asleep."
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to."
"No problem at all. Did you have a good nap?"
"I actually did. Thank you."
"You're welcome. Your friend is in recovery. I must say that I'm surprised he was even able to get here considering how much pain he should have been in."
"What do you mean? He slowly recovered."
"I'm afraid not. He just learned how to handle the pain long enough to get here."
"What?" Weiss asked. "Can I speak with him?"
"He's asleep, but I can let you see him."
Pietro led Weiss to a room in the back where Geoff was lying on his stomach with bandages on his back. "I'm sorry, but your friends Cybernetics were put in rather crudely. I'm pretty sure a first-year med student could have done a better job."
"General Ironwood said that they had to do emergency surgery."
"I suppose Emergency surgery would explain it, but why wouldn't they do the proper surgery when they had the chance?"
"Is it something I should be concerned of?"
"I'm not sure, but you might want General Ironwood to double check who did the surgery."
"I will."
"I'll leave you here. If you need anything let me know."
"Thank you."
Pietro left Weiss and Geoff alone.
Weiss had to wait for a few hours, but eventually Geoff woke up.
"... am I las..." he mumbled when he woke up.
"You're safe." Weiss said calmly. "You're in recovery at Pietro's clinic."
"...at's good las…" he mumbled.
"How are you feeling?"
"...ot in as much pain."
"That's good. That's really good."
"...anks lass."
"Get some sleep. I'll stay here as long as you're here."
"Thanks."
"You're welcome."
Geoff went to sleep, and Weiss's father called.
"Hello?" She asked hiding the fear in her voice.
"Where are you?" Jacques asked. "Do you realize how late it is? You missed dinner with the Marigolds. Today was the day we checked to see if he would make a good suitor."
Weiss froze around that. "You don't understand. I met someone at Beacon. I want him and no one else."
"Why haven't I met this boy before. If he's not good enough for me to meet them he's not good enough for you. The Marigolds will be here tomorrow. Don't embarrass me again."
With that Jacques hung up.
Weiss felt her entire world fall apart and started crying. 'Jason, where are you?'
"What's wrong lass?" Geoff asked.
"Nothing." Weiss said wiping away her tears. "I just miss Jason that's all."
"I understand. I miss Velvet too."
Weiss looked at Geoff. She wished Velvet were here for him but knowing how Atlas treats their Faunus she's safer away.
"Can Ye ask Pietro when I'll be able to leave?"
"Of course."
Weiss went and found Pietro, and the two came back.
"It's good that you came here." Pietro said. "Your Cybernetics were in bad shape. I replaced them, and you should have considerably less pain now."
"Thank You."
"You're welcome. I'm afraid that you'll have to stay here for a couple of days."
"Will he be okay?" Weiss asked.
"Yes. I'll make sure of it."
"Ye can go lass." Geoff said.
"I'll be back tomorrow."
"Thank you."
Weiss left and went back to the Academy. Maybe she could find Winter.
When she got back to the Academy, she didn't find General Ironwood. "Excuse me General, but is Winter around?"
"She's on assignment in Mistral, but she should be back soon."
Weiss felt the anxiety in her chest increase.
"Is something wrong Miss Schnee?"
"No." Weiss said a little too quickly. "Nothing is wrong."
Ironwood looked at her critically. "Are you sure?"
"Yes. Thank you for your concern." Weiss said before walking to Pyrrha's room.
She knocked on Pyrrha's door, and a few seconds later Pyrrha opened the door. "Weiss. Are you okay?" They had spent the last week getting to know each other and Pyrrha seemed to be more comfortable around Weiss.
"Can I talk to you?"
"I was just about to go to bed, but please come in."
Weiss walked inside and sat down on one of the chairs.
"Is there something you wanted to talk about?"
"My dad is trying to force me to marry someone when I am already promised to someone."
"Why don't you tell him?"
"I did, but he said that since he hasn't seen him that he obviously means nothing to me."
"Your father doesn't sound very nice."
"He's not."
"Is there anything you can do?"
"I'm not sure."
"There has to be some way."
"My father won't listen to reason. He wants me to do whatever he says, when he say's it, and how he says it."
"He doesn't sound like he actually loves you."
"He doesn't. He told my mother that he only married her for the family money on my tenth birthday. I was in the room when he said it."
Pyrrha gasped in horror.
"Yeah. He doesn't love me or my family, only our money."
"That's horrible!"
"Yeah."
Pyrrha got up and began pacing, A trait that was unlike her, and punched the wall.
The punch was correctly thrown.
Weiss looked at Pyrrha and saw that even though she didn't have her memory, she still had her muscle memory. She drew Myrtenaster and attacked Pyrrha.
Pyrrha saw Weiss coming, and called Milo to her hand, and blocked.
Weiss smiled a smug smile. "Glad to see you back Pyrrha."
"How did I do that?" Pyrrha asked afraid of the answer.
Weiss stopped smiling. "So, you didn't get your memories back?"
"I'm afraid not."
"Well, at least you still know how to fight."
"I suppose, but why would I need to fight?"
"The world is full creatures called Grimm. We fight these creatures to give the people of this world hope."
"It sounds like a fairy tale."
"In a way it is."
The following night.
Weiss found herself sitting at the table with her Father and the Marigolds.
Her Father and Mr. Marigold were laughing at a joke that Weiss had ignored.
"Well then." Mr. Marigold said. "Shall we announce the engagement at the Gala?"
"An excellent idea Arthur."
"Wait!" Weiss said insulted. "Don't I get a say in this? I am not a side of meet! I'm your daughter!"
"Hush." Jacques said. "Don't embarrass me."
"Yes, my dear girl." Arthur said with a feral smile. "The adults are talking."
"I am already betrothed!" Weiss yelled.
"Shut up!" Jacques yelled. "You will Marry Henry, and that's final!"
"No!"
"Go to your room!" Jacques yelled.
Weiss stormed out of the dining room, and she heard them talking as she left.
"I'm sorry about that Arthur."
"Shall we plan to announce at the Gala?" Arthur asked.
"Of course."
Weiss ran to her room and took out her scroll. She sent one word before she collapsed on her bed in tears.
When she stopped crying she took in several deep breaths.
She was getting ready for bed when she heard someone.
'Weiss.' Jason whispered.
"Jason?" Weiss asked.
'It's me.' Jason said. 'Or more accurately it's one of my Shadow Clone's.'
Weiss barreled into Jason's Chest and cried. "I'm so happy you're here."
'I am too. It's good to see you.'
Weiss just smiled up at Jason.
'What's wrong?' Jason asked.
At that moment Weiss broke down. "Jacques is forcing me to get married." Weiss cried.
'Do you want to marry the individual?' Jason asked slightly hurt by the news.
"No! I want you."
'Have you told this to Jacques?'
"Yes, but he says that since he hasn't met you that I obviously don't love you."
'But we got Winters approval.'
"I know that, but Jacques won't respect that because he disowned Winter."
'That's not good. Can you leave?'
"No. I can't. I have some responsibilities here in Atlas that I need to take care of."
'Can't you pass them off to someone else?'
"If it were anything but them yes, but because of who it is I can't."
'Who is it?'
"I can't tell you. Jacques could overhear and that wouldn't help them."
'I understand. Violet and I will leave right now.'
"No. Not yet. The Gala is still two months away. Come to the Gala and I will be ready."
'But what if Jacques moves ahead with the wedding?'
"He won't. He needs the attention of a big crowd. So, he won't announce it until then."
'Okay. I don't like it, but if that's what you want.'
"No. I wish that you could come and get me right now, but I would have to run away, and I can't with the others right now."
'I could kill Jacques for you.'
"As much as I wish you could, you can't. Now get out of here so Jacques doesn't find you."
Jason looked at Weiss with a sad look on his face. 'I wish I didn't have to leave.'
"Believe me. I wish you could stay here too, but you can't. We'll be together soon."
Jason slowly dissolved into shadows and blew Weiss a kiss.
Weiss caught the kiss as Jason completely dissolved and held it to her heart. She would sleep good tonight.
Over the next few weeks before the Gala Weiss spent every spare moment with Geoff and Pyrrha.
She trained with Pyrrha helping her fight and regain her strength.
She helped Geoff learn how to walk again, and soon enough he was back to constructing weapons and even started work on a prosthetic arm, asked for by General Ironwood.
She helped as best she could, but she wasn't as smart as him and couldn't help much.
After the few weeks were over, she went to the gala and sang two songs, one because Jacques told her to, and one because she saw Jason sitting in the audience.
After the Gala she was standing in front of the picture that Jacques was trying to sell for "charity".
"Excuse me." Jacques said. "I have an announcement to make."
The group went quiet, and Jacques began talking.
"This Gala holds a second purpose. My Daughter Weiss will be getting married soon."
The crowd applauded, but through the applause a sharp metallic *Click Clack Click Clack* made its way across the floor.
"What it the meaning of this?" Jacques asked.
A sharp metallic voice echoed across the room. "Jacques Schnee."
"What is the meaning of this?" Jacques asked.
"Jacques Schnee." A man standing two meters tall with a red helmet covering his head. "You have made a grave mistake."
"And what mistake would that be?"
"You have hurt Weiss more times than I can count. I can't forgive you for that."
"I have made many enemies. Though none of them have cared about Weiss."
Weiss watched as Jason walked across the floor slowly till, he was standing in front of Jacques.
"Jacques Schnee." Jason said in a cold Metallic voice.
While the other people at the Gala feared the voice, Weiss felt relief.
"What is the meaning of this?" Jacques asked.
"Jacques Schnee. You have made a grave mistake."
"And what mistake would that be?"
"You have hurt Weiss more times than I can count. I can't forgive you for that."
"I have made many enemies. Though none of them have cared about Weiss."
Weiss felt many emotions that moment. She felt like the girl from 'The Girl in the Tower.' With Jason being the warrior come to rescue her. She felt happy that Jason had come for her. She felt happy knowing that Jacques couldn't hurt her any longer, but she also felt scared that Jason would go one step too far and kill everyone but her and the staff.
Then she heard a window shatter, and Jacques was no longer in the room.
AN: A look into Weiss's time in Atlas. Surprise Geoff and Pyrrha are in Atlas with her. Geoff needs a cybernetic spine and Pyrrha has amnesia. Weiss and Geoff meet Penny, Weiss trains with Pyrrha, Jacques is an ass hat of a father, and Whitley is a creepy little shit. Enjoy.
