Randy and I walk into Chris and Morgan's house for the gender reveal party.
"Hey, hey, hey." I say as I see our friends. "The real party is here now.
Eve hugs me. "I love the fact that you think you make this a real party."
"I do though. Plus there isn't any alcohol here so I have to be entertaining."
Eve laughs. "Fair enough. But I'm sure you'll be drinking tomorrow since it's your birthday."
"I should be."
Eve looks at my outfit. "Pink…you're wanting them to have another girl?"
"Yeah. I want Chris to be surrounded by girls."
Chris walks up behind me. "Of course you would."
Eve laughs. "She's a mean person. As you can see, I'm going for a boy."
Chris nods. "Yeah. It looks like most people are." He nudges me. "Where's Randy?"
I look around. "Um…I don't know where he went."
Chris laughs. "Oh well. I'll just tell you then. Don't leave immediately after the party. Morgan and I have a birthday gift for you."
"Oh. Thanks."
"No problem. I'll see you around. Gotta go see more guests."
"Bye, Chris." Eve and I say.
"Where did Randy go?" I ask.
Eve shrugs. "Who knows? Honestly, I haven't seen Cody for awhile either."
I look around, hoping to spot Randy. "I don't see either of them."
Randy suddenly grabs me from behind. "Surprise, beautiful."
I jump. "Oh my gosh! You scared me."
Randy kisses my cheek. "My bad. Anyway, you seen Chris or Morgan at all? Because I haven't."
"No Morgan, but Chris came over and said hi. He asked where you were, but I didn't know. By the way, we can't leave immediately after the party."
"Why?"
"Chris says he and Morgan got me a birthday gift."
"Oh. Well it can't take too long, we have a flight to catch."
I roll my eyes. "Shut up."
"Nah, I think I'll keep talking."
"Whatever. What are you drinking?"
"Coffee."
"Can I have some?"
He passes me his cup. "Here."
I drink some of his coffee. "Thanks. How you doing?"
"Good. At least til we're home."
"Can we be good at least tomorrow?"
"I'll try. I'm just frustrated, baby."
"I know, Randy."
We hear it's time to reveal the gender. Everyone walks outside.
Randy puts an arm around me. "You know all this baby talk almost makes me wanna put one in you."
I lay my head against his chest. "As nice as that sounds, I'm a champion right now. Maybe we can talk about that after I lose it."
"Okay."
Chris coughs to get everyone's attention. "Ladies and gentlemen, everyone has made their guesses as to whether mine and Morgan's baby will be a boy or girl. We will now set off a smoke bomb. Pink smoke means girl and blue smoke means boy."
We all watch and cheer as a blue smoke bomb goes off, meaning it's a boy, but then a second blue one goes off as well.
"Wait…two?" Randy says.
"I'm so confused." Eve whispers.
"Guys, I think they're having twins." I say.
"We're having twin boys!" Morgan shouts.
Everyone cheers.
"Don't twins run in their family?" Michelle asks me.
"In Maryse and Morgan's." I reply.
"That's what I thought."
Maryse runs over to us. "Oh my gosh. This is crazy."
I nod. "It definitely is."
Chris and Morgan hand me a small box to open. It's us and them at their house now.
I open the box. It contains one business card. It's for a ballroom dancing class. Randy and I had been talking about doing this for awhile but hadn't been able to find a class.
"Oh my God." I mutter. "Thank you."
Randy leans over my shoulder. "Oh wow. Thanks, guys."
I hug Chris and Morgan. "This is amazing. Congrats on the twins."
"Thank you." Both reply.
"Um…Rissa?" Randy says. "We need to get headed out."
Morgan hands me a cupcake. "Take it with you since tomorrow's your birthday."
"Thanks. Bye guys." I say.
"Bye!" Chris and Morgan say.

Randy and I are the last ones to make it back home. As we exit the car, Randy runs over to my side to close my door and presses me up against the side of the car.
I look up at him. "Well hi there."
Randy smiles back at me. "Hello, aren't you a pretty little thing? You know I could just devour you."
I run my hand across his chest. "What's stopping you?"
"I don't know. But we got less than an hour until your birthday, and I'm excited."
"Me too, baby."
Randy leans in and kisses me. I smile and let him pull me in closer.
"I love you." I whisper as we kiss.
"I love you too." Randy replies.
"Get a room!" We hear Ted shout.
Randy and I look to see Ted on the porch.
"Hey, Ted!" Randy shouts back. "Screw you!"
Randy then pulls me in for another kiss before we grab our bags to go in and go to sleep.
Saturday: July 2, 2011 1:17 A. M.
Randy and I wake up to what sounds like banging downstairs.
"Randy, do you think that we're getting broke into?" I ask.
"I don't know." He replies. "But I'm gonna find out."
Randy opens the door of our closet to grab his baseball bat and then heads downstairs. I rush to follow him. He grabs my arm and pulls me closer to him.
About halfway down the stairs, we see Colby.
I look at Colby. "What are you doing?"
Colby looks back at me. "I heard banging and thought you might be getting broken into."
"So the banging wasn't you?" Randy asks.
"No. Why are you holding a baseball bat?"
"Self-defense. Deal with it, Lopez."
We all look at each other as we hear the banging again.
"Do you have a basement?" Colby asks.
"Yeah." Randy replies. "Why?"
"That sounded like it came from there."
"The safe." I whisper.
"Stay here." Randy says sternly. "Both of you."
I nod. Randy goes down the rest of the stairs before the basement door opens.
Colby goes to head downstairs as well, but I grab his arm to stop him.
"Don't." I say.
Colby looks at me. "But-"
"Don't."
"What the hell are you doing?" I hear Randy ask.
"Oh…Randy." I hear Cami reply. "I was…I…well."
"You broke into my safe and have been stealing thousands of dollars from me and my wife. What the hell?"
"I'm leaving."
"No, you're not. I want all the money back, Cami. And after that, I want you and your belongings out of here. But the money comes first."
There's a silence.
I pass Colby my phone. "Head upstairs and call the police."
"Oh. Um…okay."
I slowly walk downstairs. Cami starts hitting on Randy. She gives him a low blow. Randy falls to the ground. Cami goes to run out the door with a bag of more of our cash. I run over to stop her. She sees me and punches me in the face.
I hold my face. "Damn it."
Cami punches me again and then goes to slap me, but I grab her arm and flip her over onto the ground. She pulls me down to the ground and tries to punch me, but I grab her and lock in a Sleeper Hold.
"Remember when you said I was a bad wrestler, Cami?" I ask. "Well I learned this in wrestling. Don't try to fight a professional wrestler."
She passes out. I release the hold.
Then everything that just went down sinks in.
"Oh my god." I mutter. "I'm gonna get charged with assault."
Randy comes over and pulls me into his arms. "You're not gonna get charged with assault."
"But Randy I-"
"She hit you first, and she was stealing our money."
"Yeah, but what proves that?"
"The swollen part of your face and the bag of money."
"Will that be enough?"
"It should be."
Everyone else, except Tyler and Vance, come downstairs. They all look at us and then Cami in confusion.
"What the hell happened?" Chelle asks.
"Cami has been stealing our money from the safe." Randy says. "We caught her. She hit me in the goods. Rissa went to stop her from escaping. She started punching Marissa. Rissa fought back and knocked her out with a sleeper."
I nod. "By the way, are you okay? I wanna make babies at some point, so you need to be in good condition."
Randy laughs. "We're good."
I smile. "Okay."
"Happy birthday."
"Yeah. Happy birthday." The others say.
"Thanks." I say. "This is not the way I wanted to start my twenty-ninth birthday, but at least I'm here with you guys."
We hear police sirens and see lights flashing outside our house.
"I'm going to talk to the police." Randy says quietly. "You stay here."
I nod. "Okay."
Randy walks outside. I sigh and sit down.
Silence falls over the group of us that are still inside.
Chelle sits next to me and starts rubbing my back. "You okay, sweetie?"
My eyes start to water. "No. I've been so stressed out over everything lately. I just wanted one day…one damn day with no stress. What did I do to deserve this? What did I do? I just wanted some peace on my birthday."
Tyler walks into the room. "Rissa, are you-"
"Not now, Tyler. Just go."
Tyler goes to say something else, but Colby stops him.
"Tyler," Colby says. "Let's have a chat in your room."
"Oh." Tyler says. "Um…okay."
They go to Tyler's room. I start quietly crying. Eve and Ryse sit with me and Chelle.
"It's gonna be okay." Chelle whispers.
"Is it?" I ask.
"Yeah. I know it looks bad right now, but it's your birthday. It's gonna be a good day."
I hear the door open and close. I look up to see Randy. The girls clear off from the couch, and he sits next to me.
"I don't care who does it, but somebody go speak to the police for a few until Rissa is okay." Randy says as he wipes my tears. "The police want to talk to you, Rissa, but calm down before you go do it."
I nod. "Okay."
Randy caresses my face. "Listen, I know you're stressed out and all, but, Rissa, it's gonna be a good day. You're gonna have a great birthday. I said you're gonna be treated like a princess, and I still intend on making it happen. Just talk to the police. Okay? I'll even walk out there with you."
"Thanks, Randy. It's stuff like this that made me want to marry you."
"Um…" Eve interrupts. "Guys, I think Cami is gaining consciousness."
Randy and I look at the others and then at Cami.
"Um…someone go tell Ted to stop talking the police for us." I say. "I'm going out there to talk to them."
"I'll go tell him." Eve says before rushing out the door.
Randy looks at Cami, who is just barely conscious. "Make sure she stays here."
"Got it." John says, before giving a thumbs-up. "Good luck, Rissa."
I nod. "Thanks."
Randy and I slowly walk outside. We pass Eve and Ted.
Ted pulls me into a hug. "Good luck."
"Thanks, Ted." I reply.
I approach the police. Randy stays a little behind because he didn't want them think there was a chance that he was influencing what I'd say.
"Hi, officers." I say quietly. "I hear you want to talk to me."
"Yes, ma'am." One of them says. "We need to know what you witnessed involving Camille Diaz."
"Um…well…Cami came up from our basement. We went to check on banging we had heard Randy confronted her. She started hitting on Randy. She gave him a low blow. Then, Cami went to run out the door with a bag of more of our cash, which you know we reported money being stolen already. I went over to stop her. She punched me in the face. Cami punched me again and then went to slap me, but I grabbed her arm and flipped her over onto the ground. She pulled me down to the ground and tried to punch me, but I grabbed her and locked in a Sleeper Hold to knock her unconscious."
The officer nods. "That matches with Mr. Orton's testimony completely. We'll take her into custody. Can we go look for fingerprints to see if we can get some physical proof to place her at the safe?"
I nod. "Yeah. That's fine."
"Thank you, ma'am."
I walk over to Randy. "They're taking Cami into custody. I gave the police permission to go look for fingerprints."
Randy nods. "Okay. You gonna be okay?"
We watch as Cami is taken out in handcuffs.
I give a small smile. "Ya know, I think I just got a little better."
Randy wraps an arm around me. "Yeah. Me too. I think I'm gonna stay up until the police leave."
I nod. "Okay. So what now?"
"Well…I think I can get the paternity test done a lot easier now. Maybe you and Tyler should sit down and talk."
"Maybe. But I'll wait till tomorrow on that. What happens to Vance if the paternity test comes back negative?"
"I don't know. I know she's got a sister. Maybe he goes with her. We'll figure it out when the time comes."
I nod. "Okay."
3:00 A. M.
The police had just finished getting fingerprints and left. Randy was out sitting on our balcony and was smoking what was definitely not his first cigarette since we've been awake.
I walk onto the balcony and sit on his lap. "The police just left."
Randy blows out a puff of cigarette smoke. "And?"
"They said they would try to get the fingerprints matched to Cami within a few days."
"Good. I'm happy that we don't have to worry about missing money anymore, but at the same time, I'm pretty pissed off about the whole situation. Plus, today of all days."
"Me too. But at least we still have most of my birthday left."
"Yeah." Randy puts out his cigarette in the ashtray. "Do you wanna go to the bedroom now?"
"And get some sleep? Yeah."
Randy chuckles. "Well it's either sleep or the other thing."
"Well then maybe we can go a round, sleep, and then another round when we wake up."
Randy grins. "This is why I love you. Let's go get that round in."
